Friend Or Foe arc Episode one: A Birthday Trip to Barkingburg Part Two

Right where the previous part of the chapter left off, Claw was showing frustration and fear with the sight of Sunshine being there. Flare, being excited to see his good dragon friend, ran up to Sunshine to greet him. "You know about Barkingburg too Sunshine!? I hope you're loving it as much as I am!"

"You bet!" Sunshine happily exclaimed, and then he explained what exactly he was doing at the castle. "Actually, I managed to get myself a fighting lesson from Claw for when I eventually learn to walk on two feet like you guys can."

Claw then stepped in, gently pushing Flare aside as he tried his best to contain himself. "Right you are Sunshine; just... what did I say about coming during guard hours?"

Sunshine's face dropped when he realized his mistake as Skye then asked what the big deal was. "Why does it matter when he comes during your shift? At least to make you feel so tense."

Chase flinched when he realized how observant Skye was. Did that mean she could tell when he was feeling scared too? Claw sighed, admitting to what exactly he was doing. "Alright, look. A city as big as Barkingburg has rules that are as big as the population. One of them, the most important one, is to never disturb a dragon. Period." Flare and the other pups were shocked to hear that as Claw expanded upon that. "I think you've probably heard how dragons used to be a violent species. I thought maybe I could get the rule lifted if I trained Sunshine to defend Barkingburg."

Despite not being a fan of rule breaking himself, Chase could tell Claw was a good canine. He decided that he'd let someone get away with bending the rules, just this once. "Your secret's safe with us Claw. No reason you should go down for wanting to defend your Kingdom." As Chase said that however, Charm was revealed to be hanging from a window out of sight nearby. He'd gotten an audio recording of the situation and took off before anyone could notice him.

Claw appreciated that, and then he noticed that Marshall was starting to sweat a little, making him worry as he pointed it out. "Are you okay Marshall?"

Marshall flinched, trying desperately to hide the fact that he was now hiding TWO secrets. "Who, me? Yeah I'm fine!" Marshall then started backing up, failing to notice the knight armor behind him. "It's not like I have some super big secret outside of this one that I said I wouldn't tell." Marshall suddenly hit the sword of the armor butt first, making him wince in pain. The sword was shown to hit him right in the middle too. As he yelped in pain and started rubbing his butt, doing his best to contain himself in terms of secret revealing for now. "I'm okay."

The four showed concern for Marshall's butt poke as Skye started to wonder what the other secret was. Flare was quick to chime in as he pulled out some medical supplies. "Good thing I grabbed these from the Paw Patroller." Flare started tending to Marshall's wound with Chase and Claw both rubbing their foreheads. Skye paid close attention to this and knew that if she couldn't get it out of Chase, then she would have to get it out of Marshall; as much as the thought of pressuring her friends disgusted her.

Meanwhile, Snow was in the weapon practice room with Everest, looking around to see what she could try out. She instantly went for the close range weapons, finding a sword that she felt she could handle. Once she reached for it however, a human guard smacked her paw away, ticking her off as she backed up and rubbed said paw. "Watch it dude! There's plenty for everyone!"

"And none for you." The human guard informed Snow, explaining what these weapons were for exactly. "These are highly dangerous weapons. None to be used by children or puppies like you."

Snow then got angrier when she heard that. The last thing she liked was someone condescending to her for being a puppy. "Do you have any idea who-"

Everest then stepped in, putting her paw on Snow's shoulder and spoke up about the rule. "Any chance there are exceptions for rescue team members from another country?" The guard nodded his head no, leaving Everest bummed out as Snow started thinking of a plan. "Bummer. (Looks at Snow) Sorry sis. We'll have to find something else to do."

Snow caught sight of a large coat rack nearby and walked up to it before asking if it was being used. "Anyone planning on using this anytime soon?"

"No, it's all yours." The guard assured her, only to be surprised when Snow kicked the edge of the coat rack and caught the upper part of it. She then took off all the coat holders and held the stick, which was the exact same size of the sword she wanted. The guard didn't expect that, with Everest giggling a bit as she realized what Snow just did. "Well... I didn't specify HOW it was all hers."

A security robot dashed up to Snow from behind to apprehend her, only for Snow to perform a spinning jump slash on the robot with her stick. She managed to knock it's head clean off by aiming at the neck, and then she smacked the head to the wall. After the head smashed against the wall, Snow smashed the robot some more, leaving the guard stunned by this. Everest crossed her arms proudly as her younger sister finished off the robot. Snow then threw the stick at the ground and looked at the guard with a cheerful smile. "I'll take the small sword please."

"Right away!" The guard handed Snow the sword she wanted, and she walked out onto the battlefield with Everest selecting a level one battle for her. As two robots came onto the battlefield, Snow gave a confident grin as she prepared for battle.

Rocky and Zuma were currently in one of the party room with Zuma currently shredding up some moves on the dance floor. A good chunk of the residents in the room were watching his moves with Rocky cheering him on as he went up against a supposedly skilled human dancer. "Woo! Go Zuma!" Rocky clapped for Zuma, who finished off with his signature tailspin mood. With this, he was able to spin literal circles around the other dancer, making him dizzy in the process. When the other dancer fell to the floor, Zuma was declared the winner with most of the patrons in the room cheering for him.

Zuma loved hearing the cheers of all those in the room as he walked up to the DJ stand to collect his prize. He always loved confirmation that he was making people happy. As he accepted a dancing knight figurine, he went over to Rocky to make his leave after fist bumping the judge. "Thanks dude."

Rocky hopped out of his chair and hi pawed Zuma, being happy for his accomplishment. "Congratulations Zuma! What should we do to celebrate you proving to Barkingburg that you're the best dancer out of all canines in the world?"

Zuma thought for a moment, not really having anything extravagant on his mind right now. He kind of just wanted to chill with his friends while they were all there. "I think we've spent enough time leaving the biwthday girl without her gwoupies. Might as well meet her and the others while we can."

"Sounds like a plan to me." Rocky replied as he walked off with Zuma, glad that the two of them could spend some alone time together. Rocky just wished he could muster the courage to ask him out. 'Someday Rocky. Someday.'

Flare was in the dining room with Marshall, Chase, Skye, and Claw as he took a big bite out of the cheeseburger that was on his plate. Marshall was eating mac n cheese with bacon bits, Chase was eating spaghetti with bacon bits and alfredo sauce, Skye was eating fish and chips, and Claw was eating a rainbow trout. Claw chuckled a bit as he pointed out something he found kind of humorous. "All four of you come to London, and Skye's the only one to try anything local. That's something."

Flare finished his burger and went for the chicken and cheese casserole while he explained why he went for the food he chose. "I've just always liked meaty and cheesy stuff the most."

"Same." Marshall chimed in, finishing his mac n cheese before letting out a small burp and covering his mouth. "Scuze me."

Just then, a bunch of seafood came out with Claw loving what he saw out of the selection. "Alright! More sea life for us!" Claw grabbed a bunch of fish, along with a buttered lobster, which he then stabbed with his knife. This made Flare and Marshall cringe with Claw noticing and asking about it. "Not a fan of seafood?"

"No, it's not that." Marshall assured Claw, grabbing himself a salmon to prove it. "Flare and I grew up on an island kinda like Puerto Rico, but not really. And the one we lived on had a lot of live viewings of killing fish."

"We even saw some." Flare chimed in, shuddering as he thought about the ones he saw. "It's part of why I don't cook or eat seafood that often. I love the taste and the feel of cooking it, but sometimes I think back to seeing the underwater creatures caught by our fishermen being killed like that, and it just completely takes me out of the mood for it. Probably the only real setback of living in a suburban seaside town." Claw got that, and Flare then pointed something else out regarding his limited interactions with seafood. "Plus, I'm allergic to lobster."

Claw took note of that and got on alert about Flare's allergy, moving the lobster away from Flare so he didn't eat any by accident. Zuma then popped up behind Skye's chair and surprised her by gently grabbing her shoulder. "Made ya flinch!" Skye yipped when she felt Zuma's grab with Zuma handing her the figurine he won. "Happy biwthday Skye dude."

Skye smiled when she observed the figurine, putting it on as she thanked Zuma for it. "It's so pretty! Thanks Zuma!" The two friends then hi pawed.

Claw then pulled out a chair for Zuma to take next to him. "All yours Zuma." Zuma happily sat down next to Claw with Rocky sitting on the other side of the Chocolate Labrador. Zuma instantly went for the pie and mash with Claw being ecstatic when he saw it. "Yeah; that's how you bond with the locals!"

Rocky went for the spicy chicken bowl, but didn't dig in before handing Zuma a bottle of hot sauce. "Thanks Wocky."

Zuma started squirting the hot sauce on his food with Chase seeming to be a bit calmer, which caught Skye's glee. "You enjoying yourself Chase?"

"You bet I am. This food is amazing." Chase finished the rest of his spaghetti, getting himself some lobster and butter as he laughed a bit. "I should be asking YOU that though. It's your birthday after all."

"I know." Skye then opened up to Chase about how she was feeling, which started to make him and Marshall more tense for different reasons. "Listen Chase. If something is bothering you, then you can tell me."

As Skye continued to let Chase know how much she cared about him, the pressure kept building up inside of Marshall. He only wished it was because he ate his food too fast. He could barely contain himself from bursting out Chase's secret, and as his lip quivered, which caught Flare's worry, "Marshall, are you okay? Do you need-" Marshall suddenly released...

PFFFFFT

...a loud and squeaky three second fart, letting out a green cloud with a scent of cheese and bacon that caught his friends' attention. Marshall started to blush when he realized everyone had heard that, despite no one making a big deal out of it, and Marshall then looked over to Claw with an anxious look on his face. "Is there a bathroom nearby I can use!?"

"The nearest one's down the hallway." Claw pointed to the hallway, hoping Marshall wouldn't freak out over this. "But there might also be girls in there."

"Thank you!" Marshall scooted out of his chair, "That one was the chair!" and then ran off to the bathroom with Skye getting more suspicious. She felt now was a good time to go through with her plan on getting Marshall to tell her what was going on.

Marshall was currently washing his face in the bathroom, looking into the mirror as he spoke up about keeping Chase's secret. Almost every time he'd tried to keep a secret before was a failure, and he didn't wanna let Chase down in the same way. After washing his face, he looked into the mirror and thought about how much this meant to Chase. "Don't stress Marshall. Chase is gonna tell Skye once we get back to Adventure Bay. You just have to trust he'll be able to stay calm until then."

Skye was shown to be waiting outside the bathroom patiently, and when Marshall left, he was surprised to see her there. "Oh; hey Skye! The bathroom has stalls in it. You don't have to wait."

"That's not why I'm here Marshall." Skye revealed, hoping Marshall would be more willing to talk. "Is Chase hiding something from me?"

Marshall flinched and started panicking in his head about whether or not Skye had heard what he was saying in the bathroom. He started sweating again and tried to think of a good way to get Skye off of figuring out what was going on. "I mean... there's gotta be stuff about Chase that even WE don't know about."

Skye saw Marshall's point, but she knew how he got when he was hiding something and decided to dig deeper. "It's just that he's been feeling kind of weird about this whole trip. I couldn't help but feel him getting more and more tense as we got closer to arriving in Barkingburg." Marshall gulped, unsure if he would be able to hide this from Skye for much longer. "I know he's also really close with you. I was hoping you could tell me what was going on."

Marshall was struggling to think of a good cover up as he felt the pressure to keep the secret in getting bigger. "Have you tried talking to him yourself?"

"Yes, but he's not saying anything." Skye started to show how worried she was about Chase, feeling that this might have something to do with his mental health. "Is there something about Barkingburg he doesn't wanna talk about?" Marshall started sweating harder with guilt upon seeing just how worried Skye was about Chase. It was almost to the point where it was too much for him to handle. "If it's something dangerous, then I'm still willing to stand by him. When I saw him wake up late last night, I started to-"

"CHASE IS SCARED OF CITIES AND CAN'T WORK WELL IN CROWDS AND HE DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANNA RUIN YOUR BIRTHDAY!" Marshall blurted out, surprising Skye with this revelation as Marshall then saw Chase coming over to them from the dining room. When he and Skye watched him come over to them, Skye showed a look of disappointment as Marshall expressed remorse over this. "I'm sorry Chase; I just saw how much Skye cared about your safety and it just burst out!"

Chase was understanding however, and smiled to assure Marshall that he wasn't mad at him. He also kind of expected this after Marshall revealed he was bad with secrets. "At least you tried Marshall. That's all I wanted out of you."

Marshall was relieved to hear that, and then he felt a rumble in his stomach regarding his nerves. "Thank you Chase. Now, if you'll excuse me... literally."

Marshall rushed back into the bathroom with Skye looking at Chase, being hurt by the fact that he would lie to her about this. "Is that why you've been so secretive lately?"

Chase nodded his head yes remorsefully, hoping that Skye wouldn't stay mad at him after this. "I'm really sorry Skye. I felt awful about this as soon as I started hiding it from you."

Skye walked up to Chase and made sure to be as understanding as possible regarding his fears. "Then why DID you hide it from me?"

"Because I knew you wouldn't wanna come to Barkingburg if I told you." Chase answered, and Skye listened closely as he expressed what he was thinking about the situation. "The moment I started thinking about how big Barkingburg was gonna be, I started thinking about how badly things would turn out. The thought that came up most was that your birthday would be ruined because of it." Chase started rubbing his arm with guilt as he went into further detail. "I knew you would've wanted to stay home if you knew about my fear of cities."

Skye started to understand Chase's decision more clearly with the German Shepherd breathing in through his nose and out from his mouth. It seemed as if he was getting the courage to finally tell Skye about his past. "You always asked me what my life was like before Ryder took me to Adventure Bay with him?"

"Yeah." Skye answered, wondering why Chase always refused to talk about it. "You never were open about your life before the Paw Patrol.

Chase then braced himself for what was about to come. "Well brace yourself Skye. You're about to learn what that story is, and it's not a pretty one." Skye put a paw on Chase's shoulder as he started talking about what exactly he went through. "When I was a baby... I was abandoned by my owners in the city I used to live in. It's made me hate that particular place so much that I can't even think about the name without getting scared. I spent a month fending for myself, until one day, I was crossing the road, and I got so scared when a truck was coming for me that all I could do is flinch."

Skye felt awful for what Chase had gone through, and then Chase brought up the more uplifting part about his past. "Ryder saved me right before the car hit. He took me in, and a couple days after that, he brought me back to Adventure Bay and did the rest of college online. And during the time I was adjusting to my new life, I saw how nice the people of Adventure Bay were. They were all so kind and welcoming. And even though I'd just moved there, Ryder and Richie treated me like a longtime family member."

Chase then spoke up about how he felt regarding his mistakes, knowing that Skye was curious about that too. "To this day, it's still a mystery me as to why Ryder took me in." As she let Chase continue speaking, she thought up some choice words for him regarding that. "Back then, I wasn't anywhere near as good at controlling my gas problems, and I think you'll also have noticed that while I'm nowhere near as clumsy as Marshall, I do have moments of being a klutz every now and then."

Skye giggled a bit as she remembered something regarding that, and Chase became curious as to what it was. "Tell me about it. The week we met, you tripped on a loose floorboard into Farmer Yumi's chicken coop, and some of her eggs landed on your head."

Chase laughed a bit as he remembered that, feeling more at ease as he saw how understanding Skye was being about this. "I remember." Chase then finished his story by finishing talking about why he beat himself up over his mistakes. "Since I was abandoned, whenever I screw up during a mission, or let one of my friends down, I feel like I'm confirming that what happened to me in that over populated hick hole happened because I wasn't good enough. And I didn't want to ruin your birthday by bringing up my trauma." Chase then hung his head in shame, trying to keep himself from whimpering. "I'm sorry."

Skye gently licked Chase's cheek after looking at him with sympathy for a moment, and then she gave him some encouraging words. "I think I know why Ryder adopted you Chase." Chase looked at Skye right in the eyes as she told him how he wasn't to blame. "You said you survived for a month on your own, right? That proves you're a worthy canine to have in someone's life. Maybe Ryder felt a connection between the two of you." Chase liked that with Skye bringing up another point. "And Ryder has a good heart. That certainly rubbed off on you."

Chase felt immense warmth from Skye's words, and she finished with what she said to start it. "I don't like being lied to by my boyfriend Chase, but I know you did it out of love." Skye kissed Chase on the lips to further prove her point, and Chase embraced her as the two of them kissed for five whole seconds. Chase still wasn't completely over his fear of cities yet, but he was more confident he would get there with the help of Skye. "And I'll do everything I can to help you overcome your fear of cities."

Chase was about to thank Skye, only for the Queen's voice to be heard over the intercom with a furious tone to match. "Claw Kit Rakusen! Come to the throne room at once!" Chase and Skye looked at each other nervously, knowing that this could mean that Claw had gotten caught somehow.

In the throne room, everyone who was currently in the Barkingburg castle had gathered round to see what was going to happen to the very worried looking Claw. The Queen also looked as furious as she sounded over the intercom with the King being concerned, and Caiomhe and Sweetie were also shown to be incredibly scared for what could happen to Claw. Chase was currently struggling to keep it together in the big crowd that'd formed, and Skye was gently rubbing his paw to help him keep his cool. "It's okay sweetie. Just focus on Claw and the Queen."

Good thing Sweetie knew who Skye was talking to.

The Queen walked up to Claw and held out a video recorder that had something she felt Claw would find interesting. "An anonymous source handed me evidence of you doing something I should have expected from you a long time ago!"

The Queen played the recording, and it repeated what Claw explained to Flare, Chase, and Skye, shot for shot. "Alright, look. A city as big as Barkingburg has rules that are as big as the population. One of them, the most important one, is to never disturb a dragon. Period." Claw looked horrified as he slowly started to realize what this could mean for him. "I think you've probably heard how dragons used to be a violent species. I thought maybe I could get the rule lifted if I trained Sunshine to defend Barkingburg."

Most of the crowd was shocked to hear this, and Zuma looked to Claw with concern. He wasn't going to lose his position over this, was he? The Queen continued her statement as she looked down and saw Claw giving a cute looking please face. The Queen was aware of his intent with it however, and she quickly shut it down. "Give it up Claw." Claw whined as he stopped the please face as the Queen reminded him of what the consequences for this were. "I'm sure you know what is going to happen now."

"Mother, please!" Caiomhe spoke up, not wanting Claw to be cast out. "Claw thought this through! He spoke to us about everything!"

"And he hasn't gotten anyone hurt with this plan." Sweetie chimed in, finding this treatment of Claw utterly disgusting. "Face it! You've always wanted him gone!"

"I'll speak with you two in a moment." The Queen declared, and then she went down to Claw's level to inform him of his punishment. "From this point onward, you will no longer be Barkingburg's royal knight." Claw became heartbroken when he heard this as the Queen finished her statement. "You can keep the armor, but you can't live in the castle."

Claw then showed an immense amount of anger from this as he lashed out at the Queen for her decision with a single stomp. "No! That's not fair!" All most of them could do was watch in shock as he had his meltdown. "I break one stupid rule and my whole life gets ruined!? Just admit it! You never liked me and that's why you're taking this so far!"

"A tantrum isn't going to help you Claw!" The Queen shouted, leaving Claw to start growling with tears of anger forming in his eyes as he started growling at the Queen. "You're to move out of the castle tomorrow! Hopefully you can find someone dumb enough to take you in."

Those words really struck a never with Claw. He'd spent almost half his life waiting for a new home, and now that was just being taken away from him!? Well, if he had to leave, he wasn't doing it without getting the last laugh. "Then I sincerely hope you enjoy your parting gift!" The Queen wasn't sure what to say about that with Claw turning around and showing her his butt after pulling the rear end half of his armor down. The Queen was disgusted by this with Claw then looking back with a ferocious glare as he scrunched his face and...

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP

...ripped a loud and bassy ten second fart into the Queen's face, making his butt vibrate as he hit her with a yellow, rotten egg scented cloud. The Queen started gagging after the fart had finished ans ran out of the room with almost everyone else following suit. Claw then made his way out of the room with everyone else leaving through the throne room. After the impact of Claw's fart had vanished, Zuma was shown to be sad about what happened to his friend. Rocky put a paw on his shoulder for comfort as Zuma thought about what Claw would do now.

Back in Caiomhe's room, everyone was processing what had just happened with Sweetie giving Claw a phone call. It went to voicemail, so she made sure to sound as sincere as possible when she started. "Hello Claw. I know what just happened must have been horrible for you. If I could convince that obnoxious, bitter, rotten Queen to let you stay, I would do it in a heartbeat." Despite Caiomhe being slightly offended by the insult towards her mother, she let Sweetie finish the voice mail. "We'll find a way to make this work for all of us. I love you brother."

Sweetie finished the voice mail as she then threw her phone at the wall, and thankfully it was fine thanks to the phone case. Flare, wanting to help Claw with his predicament, started making suggestions that could give him a good home. "Maybe he can stay with us at the Lookout. I haven't joined the team yet, and everyone's perfectly fine with ME living there."

"Partially because you stowed away on my ferry ride." Marshall reminded Flare slyly, making the younger Dalmatian laugh at the mention of that moment.

The others did like the sound of that, and Ryder was quick to point out that it could work as he spoke to Zuma. "Sounds like that'll be something you have in common with TWO pups now Zuma. At least if Claw wants to."

Zuma liked the idea, but would Claw really be up for it? He didn't want this to go south for him. "I'd love that. I just hope the people in Adventuwe Bay don't judge him for this."

"Oh, I don't think judgement will be a problem Zuma." Chase assured Zuma, leaving Skye to smile at the reassurance. It hit especially well with her after the talk she and Chase had earlier. That said, it also hit Chase with an extra layer of disgust. "I'm not even mad about what he did either. No one deserves to be thrown out by the ones who are supposed to protect them. Even if they ARE a knight." Ryder rubbed Chase's head for comfort upon hearing that, and Caiomhe did the same for Sweetie. This was a hard time for Claw, and he needed as much support as he could get.

Claw was on the roof of the castle as he listened to the end of Sweetie's voicemail, "I love you brother." and it was soon revealed that he was doing this on loop. "I love you brother." He couldn't stop. It'd hurt him too much. "I love you brother." It might be the last thing he'd ever hear from those who loved him most. "I love you brother." After the fourth hearing, he was shown to have a deeply sad look on his face, one that was close to crying. "I love you brother." He really felt as if he'd lost everything that'd mattered to him so much. "I love you brother."

Then, by some miracle, Claw was able to bring himself to stop listening to the voicemail on loop. He stood up and put his phone away with somber piano music playing as he thought about everything that'd happened up to that point. He clenched his fist as he reflected on all that he did as a royal knight of Barkingburg, and how he would've done differently had he had a second chance. A mystical blue veil of beauty and grace then surrounded the area around him as he began to sing What Went Wrong.

"I spent so much time... in my early life, wondering if I'd ever find a new home..." A flashback to a younger Claw was at home once he got awful news at the door was shown. "When that tragic day struck... I kept wondering if, I'd have a new place of love to roam..." Claw then gained two images of two adult Dobermen and ran over to them with a desperate smile. "Sometimes I wonder, if it needed to happen..." Claw tried to hug the Dobermen only for them to vanish into thin air, crushing him. "If only I knew why... and to this day, I still wonder... if it's even okay to cry."

Claw then flashbacked to his time at the orphanage, remembering some of the fun moments he had with Zuma. "The fun that I had... it helped me get through the dark times..." Claw then flashbacked to when Zuma left the orphanage, hugging him right before he took off for real. "But good times can't last forever... one of the world's many crimes..." Claw then flashbacked to when he looked sad in his bed later that night. "And as the months and months passed by... I began to think, that my joy was forever lost."

Claw held in his tears as he flashbacked to the day Caiomhe adopted him, which gave him a light of hope. "But then on that day, when I found someone who wanted me... my hopeful side began to defrost."

The flashbacks ended for a moment as Claw continued to sing, looking up to the sky as he thought about all of those moments back to back. "I still don't know why that first day happened... but I still found my hope coming back! I never once thought about the outcome... if my life fell off the right track!" Claw felt the paws of the older Dobermen touching his shoulders, stunning him. "I won't lie and say that I never think... about what could have been instead..." Claw watches the memory of his parents fade away and then sees Caiomhe and Sweetie in front of him. "All I would've settled for was a comfy bed."

Claw then flashbacked to when he and Sweetie would play together in the castle, along with the pranks he would pull on her. "A loving human wasn't the only benefit... I had my step-sister as well... And even though we fought at times... I still loved her, and that love I'd never sell." Claw started to smile softly at the memories he had in the Castle. "I had everything I could ever ask for... a loving home, and a family..." Claw then flashbacked to when Caiomhe surprised him with his knight armor. "The three of us were in a loving harmony..."

Claw flashbacked to when he had his brave and helpful moments as a knight in Barkingburg from saving residents from attacks to simply helping kids get their kite out of a tree. "All I wanted in the end was to be loved...and in turn, the people here gave that to me... They all gave me the respect I longed for... and in turn, it felt good to help them..." Claw then thought about the moment he met Sunshine, along with the moment that got him caught, looking resentful as he did. "And then I spoke to the dragon... the one I broke the rule by talking to... I should have known it was all too good to be true."

Claw then looked up to the sky somberly while walking past every memory that was shown after remembering the moment he lashed out at the Queen for de-knighting him. "One mistake took everything away from me... and I thought I could never lose it all! I lost the two who loved me the most... my life has once again chosen to fall! If only someone was up here now... to hear me sing this song!" The veil vanished then and there with Claw looking up to the sky as tears began flowing down his eyes as his voice began to crack. "Perhaps they could tell me... exactly... what... w-went... wrong."

Claw fell to his knees and put his paws over his eyes as he began bawling them out over losing everything again. He thought he had it all, and that it was here to stay this time. It never occurred to him that one mistake would be enough to make his entire life crumble before him. All he wanted was to be with others who loved him, and that all got taken away from him in a risky attempt he made to protect the Kingdom. The Kingdom he asked for nothing but love and respect from. He couldn't fathom why this happened when no one had gotten hurt yet.

As Claw continued crying, about twenty seconds after he started, Charm's voice was heard from nearby. "Is that how you fix your problems?" Claw stopped crying and looked back as Charm's foot came onto the screen a good distance from him. "Cry like a helpless puppy?"

Claw wiped his eyes and tried to compose himself so he could defend himself. He sensed something wrong about Charm, and rightfully so. "Who the heck are you? And how did you get up here?"

"I have my methods." Charm answered, and he walked over to Claw with a smile that made it look as if he was going to help Claw. "I was hidden in the crowd when you had your tantrum. Jokes aside, it's simply absurd that the Queen thought that was the best call to make. Ha! That dictator has no clue what she's doing!"

"Yeah, I know buddy. The Queen is power hungry and I don't have a home anymore." Claw responded bitterly, showing that this was the last thing he wanted right now. "Did you come up here for a reason, or just to rub in the fact that I lost my life?"

Charm chuckled devilishly before walking over to Claw, who put himself into a ready for combat stance just in case. "Apologies for not getting to the point more quickly. It's never good to stall a show when you lack a good reason." Charm then got right to the point with his caring smile instantly changing to a sinister one. "My name is Charm Ralston. My army and I intend to get a very important artifact from Barkingburg to help with the ultimate attack. And you're going to help me."

To be continued.

Rock music played as Flare started speaking in regards to what was going to happen in the next part of the season two premiere with specific moments being shown. "I still can't believe that jerk Queen did that to Claw! Yeah he broke the rules, but that doesn't justify making him homeless! Wait a minute; what's Charm doing here? And his army!? What's that Dragon Tooth for!? Oh no; he's got Claw with him. Claw, if you don't be evil, then the offer to live with us is still on the table!"

Marshall finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines and the title all white with Flare on one and and Marshall on the other. "Next time, A Birthday Trip to Barkingburg Part Three! (Marshall was shown looking at Flare on the way home from the attack in the Paw Patroller) Maybe if I promise it to him, it'll help me stop worrying so much."
