Disclaimer: Here we are with my first attempt at a Valentine's Day special. At least from memory. I hope I make this as worthwhile as I hope for it to be. The romance, both hetero and LGBT, is one aspect of the story I was really excited to start working on.
Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.

Friend or Foe arc Episode six: Valentine Pups
It was Valentine's Day in Adventure Bay, and all of the pups were getting ready to spend it in their own way. Chase and Skye were getting ready to head off, looking quite fancy as they did, with Chase calling out to the others as they left the Lookout. "We'll be back from Calm-ten in time for Zuma's performance! Get ready to knock em dead Zuma!"
Zuma gave a thumbs up to Chase from the couch with Skye informing them on something else they'd be doing. "And just in case you wanna see how the party is, keep your phones off silent. See ya when we get back!"
Chase and Skye headed off to Chase's police car with Flare being a little bummed out that Chase and Skye were the only ones who could go. "It's too bad the rest of us can't go. I guess Calm-ten really likes those certain group only type of parties."
"Well their standawds led to me having my FIWST pawty, so it's not all bad that they do." Zuma responded, and then he started talking about how cool it'd be to have someone to love. "Still, it would be nice to get to go. Too bad I don't have someone to take."
Rocky started blushing softly as he thought about how he and Zuma would work as a couple. He tried to talk about it vaguely without letting Zuma know too forcefully. "Do you see yourself going with someone you previously had as a friend?"
Zuma did have an idea, and he smiled to Rocky as he made his reply, making his feelings for him fairly obvious. "I do have someone in mind. And he fits my type too." Zuma then remembered the song he wrote earlier this month and decided to go and rehearse it. He hopped off the couch and let the others know what he'd be up to. "Oh, wight; the song I wrote! I gotta make sure it's pewfect for tonight. (Rushes off) Later dudes!"
Rocky sighed with despondence in response to another failed attempt to get with Zuma. Snow patted his shoulder for comfort as Marshall assured him that he'd get there one day. "You and Zuma will start dating one day Rocky. At least I'm positive you'll get there."
Rocky appreciated the support, but he didn't feel that strongly himself about it. "Thanks Marshall. I just wish I felt that strongly about it." Flare had to feel bad for Rocky. It was clear that he wanted to be Zuma's boyfriend. Maybe he just needed a little push.
A little while later, Flare and Snow were on the couch as Flare was explaining to Snow how tonight could be the night for Rocky and Zuma to get together. "And I know it's generally a bad idea to get involved in people's relationships, but they both clearly love each other! Maybe tonight could be the night they finally become a couple."
Snow wasn't too sure about this, since she and Flare weren't related to Rocky and Zuma. She felt it'd be a lot easier for them to help Marshall and Everest with this. "I don't know Flare. Even if it's Valentine's Day, would we really be able to guarantee them getting together tonight of all nights?"
"Well Zuma seems pretty confident it could work." Flare then told Snow what he meant by that, and why he was so confident in it. "He told me during our camping trip that he knew Rocky wanted him. That means it should be easier to nudge him into making the first move."
"That does make sense." Snow admitted, and then she brought up her biggest problem with this situation. "But are we really the right pups to be getting Rocky and Zuma to finally make it official? I think we'd be better off trying to help Marshall and Everest start dating instead."
Flare figured Marshall and Everest would make a cute couple, but he also knew that they didn't know each other anywhere near as long as Rocky and Zuma. "Maybe, but Rocky and Zuma have known each other for almost three years now."
"And you think that'll mean they're more tempted to confess their feelings to each other?" Snow guessed with a smirk, and Flare nodded his head yes with a smile. Snow shrugged and decided to let Flare go ahead and do his own thing. And as she did, Claw was coming inside from the garage when he overheard the conversation. "Tell ya what Flare. If you wanna help Rocky and Zuma get together, I won't stop you. I want them to be happy too. I'm just more up for making sure Everest manages to get with Marshall."
"I can help with that too."
"Oh, so you're a matchmaker now?"
"If you text me when Everest needs help I will be."
"Okay Casanova. Let's make it happen."
Flare and Snow put their phones off vibrate with Snow making another suggestion for their plan. "Let's keep it to texts only. That way, no one picks up on what's going on."
"Okay. Good call." Flare agreed, and Claw was intrigued to see where this little experiment of theirs would go.
Flare was on the couch as he got ready for the chance to pair Rocky and Zuma up, texting Snow to let her know his phone was ready when Everest needed help. As he did this, Claw came over to him with a smug grin as he brought up his little scheme. "Sooooo. Someone's into matchmaking tonight."
Flare put his phone away when Claw brought that up. He wasn't sure why Claw was interested in his plan on pairing up Rocky and Zuma. "I guess Snow and I weren't exactly whispering to each other."
"Nope." Claw replied while laughing, and then he informed Flare that he wasn't gonna get him into trouble. "I'm not gonna bust you though." Flare instantly figured out what this meant and hopped off the couch with a smile as he confirmed it. "I've seen the ways Rocky and Zuma eye each other. "Believe it or not, Zuma's as worried about how they'd work as a romance as Rocky is."
"Really?" Flare seemed surprised by this, finding that Zuma was way more confident about this than Rocky was. "He seemed so relaxed about the idea before."
"Everyone who falls in love is nervous about it Flare. They all just show it in their own ways." Claw informed Flare, who was surprised to hear that as Claw made an offer. "I was thinking we could take one of them each to speed things up."
Flare liked the sound of that. The more help in both places, the better. "That could work. Which one of them do YOU wanna help?"
"Well you've known Rocky a lot longer than I have." Claw pointed out, and Flare nodded in realization to that as Claw then made his suggestion. "I'd also have better luck with Zuma since I've known him since we were four and five. I should be able to figure out what he needs help with."
"Sounds like a plan to me!" Flare exclaimed, and then he let Claw know about another thing he was doing that night. "Oh, and I'm also gonna be helping Everest with Snow. She'll be texting me when Everest needs help, so if you hear my phone go off, that's a text from her."
Claw gave a thumbs up to Flare and then expressed how happy he was for Zuma to find love. "I'm telling ya Flare. Seeing Zuma find love after all he went through warms my heart every time I think about it." Flare smiled in response to that. He knew Claw needed lots of joy right now.
Flare was heading over to Rocky's room, hoping he would be open to talking about how he could ask Zuma out. He didn't know how exactly he would open this, and when he knocked on Rocky's door, he decided to just wing it. "Come in!"
Upon Rocky's consent, Flare opened up the door and greeted Rocky. "Hey Rocky. You feeling any better?"
Rocky was currently looking at something on his desk, and he folded it up as he answered Flare's question. "Yeah, I'm okay now. Thanks Flare." Rocky turned around in his chair as he followed up on his statement. "If you need my help with something, then fire away."
Flare wasn't exactly sure how to start this, so he decided to go ahead and say it outright. "Actually Rocky, I was hoping to help YOU today." Rocky raised an eyebrow in response while letting out a confused bark. Flare laughed a bit when he heard that and walked up to him as he elaborated. "I was hoping you wouldn't mind me wanting to help you ask Zuma out."
Rocky flinched when Flare told him that, as he didn't feel that he was ready to ask Zuma out yet. "You did!? I mean... I appreciate the gesture, but I won't need any help with that! It's not like I feel like I'd screw it up as soon as I started asking him or anything!" Flare raised an eyebrow with a deadpan expression when Rocky was finished. Rocky then sighed, knowing that his need for help was obvious. "Okay, so I DO need help asking him out. But what do YOU know about romance?"
"Not a lot." Flare admitted. That didn't really help Rocky. But Flare DID know one thing about the topic. "I do know one thing though." Rocky listened closely as Flare told him the one thing he knew about romance. "And that's that there's a lot of love involved. I can see a lot of that in you and Zuma when I see you with each other." Rocky had to admit. Flare wasn't completely useless with this. "I think you'd make a cute couple."
Rocky smiled and hopped out of his chair with a grateful smile. He was glad to see Flare's knowledge on romance was existent. "You like brainstorming?"
"Sure do!" Flare informed Rocky, and then the two of them got to work on how Rocky could ask Zuma out.
Meanwhile, Zuma was playing his guitar in his room, playing in a romantic melody for the song he had when Claw knocked on his door. "It's open!" Claw opened the door with Zuma stopping his melody, smiling when he saw Claw come in. "Oh, hey Claw. Did that melody sound good?"
"Sure did." Claw answered, and he closed Zuma's door as he walked up to him and sat down next to him on his bed. "Any chance you're okay with telling me what that song you wrote is about?"
Zuma was a little nervous about sharing the song, but not for the song itself. It was about what the song represented from him. "Well... it's kind of pewsonal." Claw listened closely with Zuma then telling him what he meant by that. "I think you'll have noticed by now that I have feelings for Wocky. This song is about what I think of him."
Claw just knew that would make his part of the plan easier to pull off. He gave a look of interest as he asked more about it. "Sounds perfect for a day like today."
"Exactly." Zuma then started to express how worried he was that he'd botch the song and blow his chances with Rocky. "I plan on playing it later tonight. I've been planning on doing a show for Adventuwe Bay since Febwuawy." Claw knew he'd like to see that. Zuma's worried look definitely gave him context on how he felt though. "As much as I wanna play it, I'm wowwied I'll make myself look like an idiot and make Wocky hate me." There was another thing about this that made Zuma's stomach churn. "Plus, I haven't come out to my pawents yet, and they plan to be there."
Claw couldn't help but snicker in response to that one. He knew that Zuma's parents wouldn't hate him for this. "Zuma, you introduced me to your parents last week. I doubt they'd ever look down on you when they find out you're gay."
Zuma then expressed frustration about that part, since he knew it was dumb to think about a problem that didn't exist. "I know! And that's why I hate that I'm thinking about it!" Claw was stunned to see Zuma showing frustration, since he was the more laid back of the two of them now. "I'm so happy I can have both Wocky, and my pawents in my life now, and I know it's stupid to think that any of them will hate me for this. Why can't I help that!?"
"Hey, hey, take it easy." Claw thought quickly, and felt that maybe listening to the song would help Zuma feel better about this. "Maybe you can play for me." Claw smiled as he brought up a good point about the song. "I could be your sneak peak before the big show." Zuma thought about that, and he felt that maybe Claw listening first would give him some good feedback before the show. After all, it was always a good idea to get some feedback from a good friend before doing something big.
Flare and Rocky were going over a list of plans Rocky had made in regards to asking Zuma out. Flare had to admit that he was confused by all the different kinds of plans Rocky thought up. He didn't think asking someone out would seem this complicated. Before he could say anything, Rocky started talking about his favorite plan. "Since Zuma loves music, and he's performing in Adventure Bay tonight, maybe I could ask him if he's open to performing a duet." Rocky then realized a drawback with that plan. "But wait. It would be a last minute request, and he'd most likely decline."
"Unless you could memorize the lyrics to his song super quickly." Flare pointed out, knowing that if anyone could do that out of the pups, it was Rocky. "And I've seen you do some pretty impressive stuff when it came to memorizing with your own things."
"Still, I should probably pick something else." Rocky started looking for a plan that could work for after the show. "Maybe I could try making something that'll help his song be heard worldwide." Naturally, Rocky instantly realized why that wouldn't work. "And that's ALSO last minute. And it would be even harder. At least the last one had a slim chance at working."
Flare still didn't know what the big deal about how Rocky did this was. It's not like just asking Zuma to go out with him was really a hard thing to do. He looked at the ideas and picked the one that he felt was the most casual out of all of them. "Why not the one where you ask him out to a concert that's coming up soon?"
"I haven't heard anything from any of the musical artists Zuma likes." Rocky explained, and then he got back to planning as he stated another reason that one wouldn't work. "And even if I DID hear something about that, I want this to be as grandiose as possible."
As Flare looked through all of the plans again, or skimmed through them anyway, he had to ask about what Rocky just said there. "Why?"
Rocky then sighed, showing clear concern over how this would go. "Because I want Zuma to know that I love him." Flare could tell that there was something else bothering Rocky. He hoped that wouldn't prevent him from being able to ask Zuma out at all tonight.
Zuma was just wrapping up his song for Claw to listen to, and Claw's smile showed that he liked it quite a bit. When Zuma saw this smile, he smiled back as he asked if what Claw thought about it was what it looked like. "Ya like that?"
Claw then gave his honest thoughts to Zuma, which he felt sounded about accurate to how he'd feel about Zuma if circumstances were different. "I won't like Zuma. If I were into dudes and you sang that for me, we'd most likely be in the same bed that night."
Zuma couldn't help snorting at the way Claw worded that, but quickly composed himself to express how glad he was that the song was good. "That's awesome! That means Wocky might undewstand how I feel about him after I sing for him!"
"If he's liked your music before then I can guarantee that!" Claw assured Zuma, and then he thought about how great it'd be to find a romantic love interest himself. He chuckled a bit as he did as well. "It must be nice to have someone you love."
Zuma could tell Claw was hinting at the idea of him falling in love. Once he did, it led to them doing love talk. "Anyone you have your eyes on?"
"Well..." Claw was a little worried about this, since he was already aware of the fact that someone else liked this particular girl. "I do get butterflies in my stomach whenever I'm near Everest." Zuma had to admit that he wasn't expecting that one. He didn't take Claw for the type to like hyper and sporty girls. Then again, it's been years since they hung out like this. "She's really sweet and energetic, stays loyal to those she cares for, and is lots of fun to be around. And she's bloody gorgeous. Absolutely stunning."
Zuma had to admit that all of those qualities were true. A coincidence regarding Claw's crush did make him laugh though. "Just be caweful dude. I think Mawshall has his eyes on Evewest too."
Claw flinched when he heard that, and then he punched Zuma's mattress when it made him upset. "I knew there would be a catch!"
"I don't think Mawshall would be upset about this Claw." Zuma assured Claw, knowing that Marshall wasn't the type to hold a grudge. "He's a pwetty weasonable dude. And I know he's wespect it if Evewest liked someone else."
Claw sighed in response to that as he then decided to get back on topic. "Maybe. Let's talk about it after your show, which will hopefully be when you and Rocky finally become a thing." Zuma thought that sounded like a good idea, and then he and Claw decided to go ahead and get some food, since Claw's stomach growled and made them both laugh.
Flare and Rocky were still trying to come up with the perfect plan to help Rocky ask Zuma out with. Rocky was starting to stress, and when he couldn't think of a good plan, he threw the ones he made aside and started freaking out. "Why is this so hard!?"
Flare showed concern for Rocky, and put a paw on his shoulder for comfort. "It'll be okay Rocky. I'm sure Zuma will like whatever you plan for him."
"I can't just have him like it Flare." Rocky reminded Flare, feeling that this had to be absolutely perfect. "It has to be absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, perfect! And I can't find anything that is!" Rocky was starting to change to genuinely upset as he expressed his disdain towards his lack of skill in this category. "Why do I have to be so bad at this?"
"I wouldn't say bad. Maybe just... overthinking it?" Flare suggested, and then Rocky looked at him to see what exactly he meant by that. "I don't know a lot about this whole romance stuff, I'll admit that much. But wouldn't it make the most sense to just go up to Zuma and ask him out?"
Rocky only wished it were as simple as it sounded. It probably would be if his and Flare's roles were switched. "If only it were that simple." As Rocky looked at the ground, he spoke up about how stressful this was for him. "If I mess this up, Zuma could hate me. I can't let anything go wrong."
Flare still felt that Rocky was stressing too much about this and decided to see if there was a bigger picture with this. "It doesn't have to be perfect." Rocky looked at Flare, who seemed confused as to why Rocky wanted this to be perfect so badly. "I don't think anything has to be perfect. As long as it gets the job done and everyone's happy, I don't see a problem with it. Unless it's something bad anyway." Flare saw that Rocky was struggling to agree, and hoped he wouldn't mind him asking why. "Why do you think it has to be perfect anyway?"
Rocky knew he wasn't gonna be able to explain this to Flare without delving deep into his feelings regarding his past. He just hoped Flare would understand what he was going through afterwards. As he breathed in with his nose and out of his mouth to calm himself down, he got ready to tell Flare why he was having so much trouble with a seemingly simple task. He did his best to contain himself as he did. "It's because... imperfection is what led to Charm being the way he is."
Flare was surprised and confused by what Rocky meant, and Rocky then had a flashback to the night his former life fell apart. The flashback began with his father speaking to a slightly younger version of Trickery about something that happened sometime before. "And remember. If Charm learns out about this action, the effects will be reversed." Rocky listened a little more closely, and while he didn't see who his father was talking to, he made it out pretty well. "Don't let him find out. Ever."
Rocky was shocked by what he'd heard, and he felt he'd have to act quickly, so he rushed off to inform Charm as present Rocky spoke over it. "I thought I'd heard my dad talking to someone about why Charm was the way he is. I hoped telling Charm about what I'd heard would help him." The flashback then showed Rocky coming into the kitchen to find that Charm had stabbed their mother. He was horrified, and Charm was looking down at her with an indifferent expression.
Charm then gave a sadistic grin as he looked to Rocky and aimed his knife at him without hesitation. "The favorite child will join her soon!"
The flashback ended with Rocky running away from Charm as Rocky was then holding back his tears from that day. "What Charm did to our mother was unforgettable. And I don't know if I can ever forgive him for that." Rocky looked at Flare, who felt awful for Rocky after he heard what happened. "Ever since then, I felt that if I'd learned sooner and told Charm about it, then maybe I could've stopped our mom's death. Maybe I could've reversed whatever our dad was talking about. Maybe..." Rocky choked with guilt before saying that last one. "Maybe I could've been a good brother."
Flare saw the guilt in Rocky's eyes, and he did the thing that he felt would be best to do; that being to give Rocky a comforting hug. Rocky appreciated the hug, but he still didn't feel that going all casual about this was a good idea. "Thanks Flare."
Before Flare pulled Rocky away, he had a thought that he felt would help Rocky and beamed when he told him. "Why don't you practice on me?" Rocky was confused by this, and Flare then elaborated on what he meant. "I'll pretend to be Zuma, and you can pretend to be asking me out."
Rocky was admittedly skeptical about this. Would Flare really be a good practice Zuma? "I don't know Flare. You and Zuma aren't much alike."
"Dude, just wait until you see my Zuma." Flare cleared his throat, and then he did his best Zuma impression; speech impediment and all. "Sup Wocky? You look way okay dude." The impression started to make Rocky crack up. "Let's go pwank Snow by fawting on her pillow."
Rocky couldn't help but start laughing at Flare's impression. He also had to admit, it did help him feel better about trying this. "Okay; I'll admit. I expected worse. Let's do this." Rocky then got ready to practice asking Zuma out on Flare. He got a good look at him and tried to picture Zuma instead. Once he had a clear picture in his mind, he breathed in with his nose, and out from his mouth, so he could stay completely calm during this. No time for gay panics. When Rocky opened his eyes, he went straight in for the kill. "Zuma... do you wanna go out with me?"
Flare squeed in response to Rocky's success and hugged him again, this time a little tighter, and surprising Rocky quite a bit. "See? That wasn't so hard!" Flare then looked at Rocky with confidence that he'd be able to pull this off after Zuma's performance. "Just wait until Zuma's show tonight. You'll do great!" Rocky was grateful for Flare's help, and he became even more grateful after the latest method. It really did help him feel better about asking Zuma out.
Later that night, while Zuma was getting ready for his show in the plaza, the others all met up in the front row to support him along with Zuma's parents. Flare saw that Marshall and Everest were getting along great still, and he looked to Snow as he brought it up. "Guess you didn't need my help after all. You didn't text me once while I was helping Rocky."
"Turns out, the two of them work as well together as you and I do." Snow chimed in, and then she tried to avoid making it sound wrong as she clarified that with Flare. "And by that I mean, we work really well as a duo. Like, if we both got trapped in a tough battle, we'd be able to work our way through it together."
"Right, right. I got it." Flare assured Snow, making her relieved that she didn't sound too weird when saying that. She just wished she knew why she was so worried about how that would sound to someone as happy as Flare.
Marshall and Everest were still talking with Everest noticing Snow's light blush and giggling when she saw it. "Looks like my little snowflake is growing up." Marshall looked to where Snow was as Everest then realized what she just said and snorted before making a request to Marshall. "Don't tell her I called her that. She doesn't like too many others knowing about that nickname."
Marshall chuckled nervously as he brought up how that would be a struggle for him. "I'll try. At least this time I'm not covering up PTSD."
Chase then appeared behind Marshall while looking quite ecstatic after the party he and Skye went to. "Diiiid someone forget to mention after-parties?"
Chase sat down next to Marshall with Skye sitting down next to Chase as she asked about the show. "Is Zuma almost ready?"
"He should be." Marshall answered, knowing that this song was gonna be good. "It should be interesting to see how he speaks about romance."
Zuma peeked from the curtains and looked to Rocky, who was smiling, and then to his parents, who were proud to support Zuma. He then looked to Claw, who was getting a seat next to Everest, and he gave a thumbs up to Zuma when seeing him. Zuma smiled and then went out onto the stage, playing a cheerful and romantic melody that caught everyone's attention as he did. He then spoke into the microphone before he began. "Okay evewyone, get weady! This isn't just a nowmal song fwom me! It's a song to a special someone here in Adventuwe Bay!"
Zuma continued his melody, and after a couple more seconds, he began singing his song to Rocky: A Love That Burns Bright. "Thewe was a time in my life, where I was lost beyond belief. I had no one to tuwn to, no one to help with my gwief. I didn't think I'd ever, find someone new to love. I was always scawed that maybe, death was waiting to dive fwom above." As Zuma was singing, Rocky was quick to notice that he was focusing an awful lot on him.
With Rocky beginning to blush, Zuma continued his song to express his love for Rocky. "But then I met youuuuuuu, and my life stawted to go up. And it felt so twueeeeeee, that I'd be such an amazing pup." Zuma then looked back on the day Rocky and Richie saved him on the beach while continuing to sing, and it ended with Rocky offering Zuma his paw. "The fiwst time I laid eyes on you, I felt something so gweat. I didn't undewstand it at the time, but now I believe it's faaaaaaaaaate!"
Zuma continued playing and after a quick mini strum, he went back to singing about how he truly felt about Rocky. "It was a love that buwns bwight! Even if I needed time to see it cleawly; it was a love that buwns bwight! And I still chewish that love deawly!" Rocky was starting to pick up on the song's meaning and smiled brightly when he did. "And once I figuwed it out, I knew it just had to be twue!" Zuma closed his eyes for a moment as he made it clear that he needed Rocky in his life. "I knew that I didn't want to live my life without you."
Rocky couldn't help but be touched by this song, and Zuma was just getting started, or so it seemed. "Now nothing's standing in my way; this is what I wanna say. I love you as much as I did when I fiwst moved to Adventuwe Bay." Richie was standing next to Ryder, and behind Rocky, and he rubbed Rocky's head when he noticed how happy Rocky was. "And I'm done holding in just what I think of you. If I lost you in my life, then my heawt would split into two. Thewe's nothing to lose, I'm saying it tonight, I'm doing it without a fight. I'm gonna finally say it now that I know it's wiiiiight!"
Rocky then reprised the first set of lyrics he sang again to further emphasize what Rocky meant to him. "Thewe was a time in my life, where I was lost beyond belief. I had no one to tuwn to, no one to help with my gwief." Zuma's parents embraced each other proudly while listening to the song, glad that Zuma found a special someone in his life. "And now I can see it cleaw as day, that I want you to know how I feel. Cause I'm telling you now, these feelings can't, be anything if not reeeeeeeal!"
Rocky then sang the lyrics that showed the meaning of his song the best while looking at Zuma directly. "It was a love that buwns bwight! Even if I needed time to see it cleawly; it was a love that buwns bwight! And I still chewish that love deawly!" Rocky couldn't help shedding a tear of joy knowing that he and Zuma shared feelings for each other. "It took me some time to figuwe it out, but once I did I knew it was twue." "I knew with all my heawt, without a doubt in my mind, my feelings that were sometimes in a bind. I knew that I didn't want to live my life without youuuuuuuuuu!"
Zuma then started singing the last part of his song, knowing that Rocky was loving it based on his smile alone. "That's wight; I don't want to live my life without youuuuu, no-o." Zuma then played the last of his guitar strums with the last of his lyrics. "I don't want to live my life without you." When Zuma finished his song, all of Adventure Bay started cheering, much to his glee as he thanked them. "Thank you! Thank you Adventuwe Bay! I'll be here all week! Litewally!"
Zuma hopped off the stage after thanking the crowd, and his parents ran up and hugged him; and it surprised him, but in a good way. Gabe was the first to speak, being so proud of his son for what he just did up there. "That was amazing son!"
"We're so proud of you!" Celeste then added in, being so glad that her son was as musical as her. "I'm just waiting for when we have our first duet together."
"I'll let you know if I come up with a good mothew son song for us." Zuma offered, making Celeste squee with Zuma then breaking out of their hug to close his ears. "Okay, whoa; ear wape wawning!"
Zuma laughed a bit at that comment with Celeste then getting excited to know who Zuma was singing that song for. "Okay, let me guess. Were you singing that song to some brainy girl we don't know yet?"
Zuma chuckled a bit when his mom asked that question, and as he walked over to her, "Well..." he looked in between her and Gabe and directly at Zuma. "not exactly."
Richie nudged Rocky gently to move forward, and as Zuma also walked over, his parents, though surprised, smiled supportively as Celeste whispered to him. "Knock him dead!"
Zuma appreciated the support, he and Rocky looked each other in the eyes with everyone in the crowd watching as they blushed and smiled lovingly. Zuma was the first to speak, hoping that Rocky loved his song as much as he'd hoped. "So. I bet you pwobably figuwed it out. I hope-"
Rocky then blurted out what he wanted to ask Zuma, not wanting to hold it back anymore. "Do you wanna go out with me!?"
Rocky flinched and covered his mouth while giggling, and Zuma then laughed before expressing how he wanted to be the one to ask. "Dawn it! I wanted to be the one to ask!"
"Okay, okay, quick! Do over!" Rocky offered, despite being ecstatic to have finally done it himself. "You're the one who leads, I follow!"
"Yeah, I love that." Zuma then went on to ask Rocky out, asking the question the best he could. "Wocky Goodway... do you wanna-"
"Yes; yes; yes! A MILLION TIMES YES!" Rocky burst out and then he and Zuma hugged each other while laughing gleefully. Everyone in Adventure Bay was shown to be happy for them with Rocky licking Zuma's cheek and making him feel even better about tonight. "Sorry, sorry; I couldn't help myself. I've been waiting almost three years to do this!"
"No way, I totally get it. I was too." Zuma assured Rocky, and then he became curious as to how Rocky finally got the courage to ask him out. "I always knew about your feelings for me Wocky. I just wanted to wait until we both knew it was time." Rocky couldn't help blushing over how he was the one who took so long to notice. Zuma then asked his question. "What made you finally decide to give it a go tonight?"
"Let's just say that help for something, can come from even the most unexpected places." Rocky's vagueness didn't bother Zuma. He instead hugged Rocky affectionately. Rocky embraced him, and then he looked over to Flare, who shared a hi five with Zuma before noticing. Rocky mouthed a silent thank you with a appreciative smile to the Dalmatian. Flare, in response, winked to Rocky with a silent you're welcome, and gave him a wink and a thumbs up. It was clear that Flare's attempt to help Rocky and Zuma get together was a success.
Rock music played as Snow started speaking in regards to what was going to happen in the next part of the next chapter with specific moments being shown. "I still can't tell if Claw's serious about wanting to keep doing good or not. He seems to be getting along with everyone else fine enough, but what if he's hiding something? He has to be if he helped Charm get that Dragon's Tooth. Maybe it'd help if I kept my eye on him. Then I'd know for sure which thoughts are which."
Snow finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines and the title all white with Flare on one and and Marshall on the other. "Next time, Paw Patrol Beach Day: Snow's Sneaking Suspicions! (Snow was shown to be watching Claw talking to Everest nearby) Thanks a lot mom and dad, messing with my limits on trust."
