Disclaimer: Don't worry, I'm not gonna turn Snow into a needlessly hostile character. I just needed at least one skeptic to help balance it out, and Snow was the most fitting pick. I hope I handle this well too.
Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.
Paw Patrol X
Friend or Foe arc Episode seven: Paw Patrol Beach Day! Snow's Sneaking Suspicions!
The Paw Patrol were getting ready to go to the beach with Flare telling Claw about all the stuff he could do there. "And Captain Turbot even has a MerPup named Ocean we can talk to while he's looking for her home!" Claw definitely wasn't expecting to hear about MerPups, and Flare hatched an idea as his surprise was made clear. "Hey. Maybe we could bury one of the others in the sand and give them a mermaid tail!"
"That'd be something." Claw admitted, and he put a beach chair into the Paw Patroller as he spoke up about the beach. "Gotta say Flare. The beach sounds like it has a lot more to offer than you'd think given that it's covered in sand."
Flare put a big picnic basket into the back of the Paw Patroller before making his response to that statement. "Oh believe me Claw, it does." Claw went to reach for the basket when he became curious about what was inside, only for Flare to stop him. He then pulled his paw back as he told Claw his plans for the basket. "Not until lunch time. There's some really good stuff in that basket that I whipped up early this morning, and I wanna make sure it stays warm long enough to save for then."
Claw nodded in response, and just then, Marshall's usual warning to his arrival was heard from nearby. "Look out!" Flare and Claw looked to see Marshall rolling in the volleyball net with Chase and Everest chasing after him. Luckily, Richie was nearby and reacted quickly, grabbing the net Marshall was trapped in. "I'm okay!" Marshall then slid out of the net, and after he stood up, he thanked him for the assist. "Thanks Richie."
"Not a problem." Richie rubbed Marshall's head affectionately as Chase and Everest arrived, and he then went over to the Paw Patroller to put the volleyball net in. Claw saw Marshall with Everest and remembered what Zuma told him a couple days ago. Could Marshall really be interested in Everest romantically?
The Paw Patrol were at the beach a few minutes later, and Flare was getting started on making a sand castle with Snow. As he patted down the first of his sand hills, he noticed that Snow seemed a little off-put about something. He hoped Snow wouldn't be upset about whatever this was for long. "You okay Snow?"
Snow wiped her forehead as she answered, knowing she couldn't get anything past Flare. "Yeah, I'm good." Snow sighed as she then looked over to Claw, who was currently talking to Marshall and Everest. "I just can't shake off this feeling that Claw could be planning something. What if he's still working for Charm and we haven't seen it?"
Flare could understand that, since working with Charm was what brought Claw to Adventure Bay in the end. He then became curious as to what kinds of signs they would've noticed by now. "Well, what kind of signs would hint towards that?"
"I don't know; looking angry for some reason that only he knows?" Flare and Snow looked over to where Claw was again, and he seemed to be struggling to hide a sense of frustration he had with Marshall. His quivering lip and twitching paw made that clear with him trying his best to contain both. "Like that." Marshall and Everest started to notice as well and became worried with Marshall asking about it as Snow continued. "I guess it's not much, but he can't be feeling it for no reason."
Flare watched as Claw brushed off any possible negative feelings and headed on over to a nearby beach chair. Flare had his own thought in mind as he looked at Snow. "Well we already know that Marshall and Everest like each other. You think maybe Claw has feelings for Everest too?"
"Well if he did then he'd have no chance with Everest." Snow joked, snickering a bit as she then elaborated on what she meant. "Nah. Snow's never been into hot heads."
Flare then became curious as to why Snow was still suspicious. She seemed to be the only one who was. "Why is it bothering you anyway? If you don't mind me asking that is." Snow looked at Flare, who brought up an example of Snow showing the opposite of suspicion. "You were pretty welcoming to Marshall and me when we moved here."
Snow had a retort for something like that as soon as Flare finished. "You two didn't help our worst enemy attack the city." Flare could tell that something else was bothering Snow. Hopefully, she wouldn't be angry if he asked. Before Flare could ask however, he and Snow noticed Claw struggling with his beach chair and getting frustrated from it.
Flare hoped Snow would at least be open to helping Claw with the small stuff. "You still up for helping him with his beach chair?"
Snow nodded her head yes, and she and Flare headed on over to Claw, who was struggling to get his beach chair open. "Come on you stupid chair! Open!"
Snow couldn't help but laugh a bit at Claw's struggle before Flare offered to help him out with the chair. "You want some help there Claw? Six paws are better than two!"
"You'd need at least thirty paws to keep this hunk of junk working." Claw failed to get the chair open again, and stomped his foot on the ground as he complained about it. "God! This chair is evil!" Claw kicked the chair and caused it to flip over, leaving Flare and Snow to notice how fumed he was.
Flare went over to the chair and flipped it back over as he and Snow got ready to help Claw open it up. "We'll hold the bottom part, and you can stand in the middle while pushing the top part out." Claw appreciated the help, and felt it wouldn't hurt to at least give it a shot.
Nearby, Marshall and Everest were carrying an umbrella nearby with Chase and Skye seeing that it was quite the big one. Chase was quick to point it out as they saw him coming by. "You're gonna let the whole team use that one, right?"
"You bet!" Everest confirmed, being excited to see if it could actually fit them all. "Do you really think we'd all be able to fit it under it?"
"I mean, it'd feel kind of shady if it didn't."
"Marshall!"
As the four pups laughed at the pun, Marshall and Everest continued walking, only for Marshall to trip on a rock. "Whoops!"
This led to Chase's protective boyfriend instinct kicking in, and he pushed Skye out of the way just as it opened. The umbrella ended up sending Chase back, since Marshall accidentally hit the switch that opened it up. Everest managed to avoid getting hit by the side just in time, but Chase got sent back into a volleyball Rocky and Zuma were playing with and landing onto it with his hind legs. Once Chase started rolling backwards with Rocky and Zuma looking surprised by the sudden event, Chase couldn't resist an opportunity. "Oh yeah; now we're having a ball."
Chase suddenly lost all control with Flare, Snow, and Claw noticing as he rolled over to them and colliding with Claw once Flare and Snow jumped out of the way. After the chair clamped both Chase and Claw inside and rolled for a bit, the two of them snapped out of it quickly with Chase joking about the predicament. "Marshall's rubbing off on me a lot more than I expected." Claw couldn't help but smile at the joke with Chase then apologizing for crashing into him. "Sorry Claw."
"If it helps, I couldn't get this dumb thing open anyway." Claw responded, and when the others arrived to see if they were okay, Claw managed to squeeze out with ease. Chase struggled a bit himself, getting out entirely after a couple seconds of extra squirming from his butt.
Chase then took the time to compliment his butt as he looked back at it with a quick shake. "Still the biggest and hottest butt on the team."
Snow got a look at the chair as Chase and Claw laughed at the wipeout, and while Marshall apologized to the two for causing it, Snow got Claw's attention. "Hey Claw?" Claw looked to where Snow was and pointed to a button on the chair that helped it open up, much to Claw's disbelief. "I just noticed that this was an electronic chair. That must've been why you couldn't get it open before."
Claw face palmed when he noticed that, and Flare made an attempt to cheer him up. "I mean... you weren't the only one who noticed, to be fair." Claw saw Flare's point with the Dalmatian then bringing something else up. "And at least it's open now. All you need after that is some sunscreen."
"Is that the white stuff that's really hard to get on your back?" Claw asked, having an idea as to what sunscreen was all about.
Flare then took out a bottle of sunscreen to let Claw know that he was prepared. "Yes, but we brought spray on too." Flare signaled Claw to close his eyes, and once he did, he started spraying the sunscreen on him, since he was the only one who hadn't had any yet.
Claw was relaxing on the beach in his chair as Ryder came over to him with a smile on his face and his Pup Phone out. "Hey Claw. Guess who I have on the phone." Claw looked to Ryder, who kneeled down to the Doberman as he was laying in his chair and showed him his step-sister and former owner. "Surprise!"
Claw couldn't believe what he was seeing. Did Caiomhe and Sweetie actually call him? The comforting words of Caiomhe confirmed that this was true. "Hello Claw. How have you been doing?"
Claw was so happy that he took the phone out of Ryder's hands and exclaimed what he just learned. "You still love me!" Caiomhe and Sweetie were glad to see that Claw was happy to see them as Claw then assured them that he was doing everything he could to keep them together. "I can promise you right now that I'm working my butt off to keep us united. I accepted the Paw Patrol's offer to live with them as soon as they made it."
"That's great Claw!" Caiomhe said happily, and she then brought up some other good news. "We have some good news regarding that as well."
Claw couldn't wait to hear what that was. Sweetie was happy to inform him about it herself. "We managed to get through to the King and Queen of Barkingburg, and they've agreed to let us stay in Adventure Bay for one week every month to spend time with you. We're heading to the airport for our flight this afternoon!"
"That's amazing! You have no idea how much I've missed you!" Claw responded with obvious excitement, and then he couldn't resist cracking a joke about Sweetie's gas. "However Sweetie, one thing I DIDN'T miss is engulfing the sleeping habits that your fellow passengers will have to face."
Sweetie blushed a bright red when Claw heard that, and Caiomhe rolled her eyes while smiling as Sweetie shot back at Claw. "Shut up Claw! You do it a lot more than I do!"
Claw couldn't help laughing, despite Caiomhe calmly telling him to cut it out. "Claw, please. That's enough."
Flare and Snow had gotten back to their sand castle, and now Marshall and Everest were helping them out. Everest was certainly having a good time, unable to believe it took her until now to try this. "This is looking great you guys! I wonder what it'll look like when we're done."
"Oh, trust me Everest. It's gonna look awesome." Flare assured Everest, putting down another part of one of the walls while also making sure that the windows surrounding it didn't get covered up by sand. "Maybe we can even make some little sand soldiers and put them around the wall!"
"There's an idea!" Snow chimed in, trying to stay optimistic with what was currently on her mind. She decided to go ahead and ask about Claw, since Marshall and Everest were both there. "Hey Marshall? Everest?"
"Yeah Snow?" Everest asked, hoping that Snow was okay, having noticed a minor tone drop in her voice.
Snow didn't wanna make it sound wrong, so she decided to just ask it outright. "I saw Claw getting kind of emotional earlier while talking to you. What was that about?"
Marshall and Everest had to admit that they were stumped on that one. Claw did have a habit of easy to provoke emotions, but they didn't exactly get why. Marshall was especially confused as he gave his response. "Good question Snow. He's been like that a lot around us lately. Not sure why."
Flare made a little sand soldier out of sand that was just moist enough to work, but not ruin the wall of sand. When he put it up, he gave his two cents on the situation. "Claw can be kind of a mood sometimes. Maybe he's okay with talking about it now that he's calmed down."
Marshall felt that was best, and Claw then ran over to them while shouting happily. "They're coming! I'm finally seeing them again!" Claw suddenly tripped over a loose seashell and started rolling over to Flare and the others. Everest was able to stop him before he crashed into the castle, and when he saw, he blushed softly at the sight of a giggling Husky. He then shook it off and excitedly stated what he was talking about. "Caiomhe and Sweetie are coming to Adventure Bay!"
"Really!? That's awesome Claw!" Flare exclaimed as he ran up to Claw excitedly. He couldn't help hugging him while pinning him to the ground. Claw couldn't help smiling in regards to this with Flare getting off of him as he spoke up some more about it. "They're gonna love it here in Adventure Bay! Just wait until they get here!"
Claw couldn't help his enthusiasm for this as Marshall then walked up to him, hoping this would work since he was now in a good mood. "Hey Claw?" Claw looked to Marshall, who was glad to see him still smiling. The last thing he wanted was to bring down a mood this good. "Since you're in a better mood now... you mind if we talk in private?"
Claw didn't expect that, but he felt it wouldn't hurt to accept, since Marshall was bad enough at lying to be easily figured out. "Sure. Why not? Something's gotta be on your mind now."
Marshall and Claw headed off with Snow looking concerned as they did, and when Flare and Everest noticed, Everest was the first to speak up. "You okay sis?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Snow lied, despite it being obvious to Everest what was going on. "Let's just keep going with the castle until Marshall gets back." Flare and Everest couldn't help being worried. There was obviously something bothering Snow that she wasn't talking about. Flare just wished he knew what.
When Marshall and Claw knew they were alone, with no humans or animals around, Marshall felt it was a good time to start. He didn't want to upset Claw, but he wanted to make sure his mood from earlier wasn't in regards to him. "I don't wanna ruin your excitement for Caiomhe and Sweetie coming to town, but Everest and I couldn't help but notice how tense you were getting earlier. What was that about?"
Claw was worried when he heard that Everest noticed too. He hoped he didn't blow any shot at getting with her. "Well..." Marshall listened carefully, and Claw decided to just blurt it out since they were alone. "You're into Everest too, aren't you."
"How did you know!?" Marshall asked in shock, starting to wonder if he'd been obvious enough for everyone to notice.
"Zuma told me three days ago." Marshall sighed upon hearing that revelation, meaning he couldn't have been TOO obvious then. Claw then elaborated on why that was bothering him. "I guess you can tell from that alone that I'm kind of into her too." Marshall was surprised to hear that, and Claw then finished his statement. "I don't know. I guess I'm just upset that maybe I'll lose her too if things go wrong. Or if she ends up going out with you."
Marshall understood Claw's fear, thanks to what he lost in Barkingburg. He didn't think there had to be drama about it though. He also didn't think Everest and Claw would fall apart over this. "Ya know, Everest is really sweet." Claw looked at Marshall, seeing how mature he was being about this. "I doubt she'd overreact if it's not mutual." Claw was surprised to see how Marshall was handling this, and the Dalmatian's smile said it all. "All I'm saying is, we don't have to fight over it. Whichever one of us she likes is up to her. I don't see any reason we should fight about this."
Claw couldn't help but admire that. He just wished he could be that mature. He then looked up at the ear with his earpiece from Charm subtly as he spoke up about that. "If only it felt that simple." Marshall could tell Claw was starting to struggle and hoped he wasn't hurting him. "After almost losing Caiomhe and Sweetie... failing at this sounds too hard for me to handle."
Marshall felt that it was best to get Claw's mind off of whatever he was thinking about. He knew that what he needed right now was fun times with friends. "Maybe we can talk more about this later. For now, let's just go hang out with the others some more."
Claw liked the sound of that and even made a bet with Marshall for a race back to the group. "Winner gets to fart in the loser's face!" Claw ran off before Marshall could respond, leaving him to rush off as fast as he could in the hopes that he could beat Claw to the finish line. Whether or not Marshall lost, he was just glad he could talk to Claw about this.
Back where the others all were, Chase and Skye were sitting under their umbrella while watching Zuma help Rocky with his fear of water. While this was going on, Chase blew into Skye's ear, making her giggle as she called him out on the fact that they were in public. "Chase, the others could be watching."
"Aw, come on Skye. Nothing a little puppy love can ruin." Chase responded, nuzzling Skye's cheek as Chase then noticed Claw and Marshall running over to them. "Uh-oh. Risk for a double wipeout coming."
Skye looked to where Chase was looking and instantly caught on with Claw and Marshall going at max speed all the way to the end. Claw one by a hair, and he skidded once he made it with Marshall tripping and falling flat on his face. "Yes! I'm the winner! Eat that Marshall!" Claw's boasting then took a literal turn as he got ready for his prize. "Actually, inhaling is more like it." Claw turned around with Marshall not getting much warning after that, and once Claw's butt was in Marshall's face after he stood up, Claw released...
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT
...a loud and bassy fifteen second fart into Marshall's face that caught the attention of everyone else, making his butt vibrate as it released a green cloud of smelly fish. Once the others got over to where they were, Claw was quick to boast about his farts to Chase. "Better watch out Chase. I just might top you yet."
"Tch. You are not seriously bragging about that to me." Chase got up and made sure his butt was in Claw's view... and failing to see that Rocky and Zuma were right behind him, "Big mistake." and Chase then cut...
PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT
...a massive twenty second fart that made his butt vibrate, while also surrounding Rocky and Zuma with a yellow cloud of rotten eggs. The two pups were stunned by this and coughed while wafting the fart cloud away, leaving Chase to notice and laugh a bit as he did. "Sorry about that you two."
"Wouldn't be the fiwst time." Zuma responded jokingly, and Claw held his paw up with Chase accepting his offer for a hi paw. Skye rolled her eyes in regards to how gassy her boyfriend was while smiling, Marshall laughed a bit after recovering from Claw's fart, as did Everest, Flare snickered in response, and Snow was just generally annoyed. She was clearly the least adept to fart humor out of all the pups.
A little after that, Snow was watching Claw from nearby while making sure no one else was around to see what she was doing. Claw didn't seem to be doing anything out of the ordinary. He was just talking to Rocky and Zuma while walking along the beach. They weren't the ones who spotted him, but her older sister did speak up from behind. "Snow?"
Snow flinched when she heard Everest's voice and turned around instantly. She hoped she wasn't in trouble for what she was doing. "Everest? I thought you were still helping Flare and Marshall with our sand castle."
"I was, until you walked off to spy on Claw." Everest pointed out, and then she got down to business, making sure not to go too hard on Snow. After all, she had a good idea on what this was all about. "Is this about mom and dad?"
Snow lowered her head and started rubbing one of her arms after Everest said that. It was clear that their parents weren't exactly the most honest canines around. "They don't exactly help me with this." Everest raised Snow's head to let her know she wasn't mad at her. Flare was walking carrying some seashells nearby as he overheard Snow continuing with what she said. "Every time they said they love us... was just followed up by something that proved they were faking it."
Flare started listening more closely, since it sounded like Snow had gone through some tough times. "And I guess in turn, that made it harder for me to trust people who did something bad, and want to reform and contribute something good to society." Everest understood Snow's dilemma completely. Their parents weren't exactly the best people. Flare was horrified when he heard what Snow said next. "How were we ever able to call them our parents?"
Flare accidentally dropped one of the seashells in shock, which caught Snow and Everest's attention. Flare quickly picked it up, and when the two Huskies noticed him, Snow was quick to catch onto what happened. "Oh, hey Flare. Did you-"
"Nope! Didn't hear any of whatever that was about!" Flare lied, not wanting Snow and Everest to know he was eavesdropping on them again. "I'll meet you guys back at the sand castle!"
Flare ran off with the seashells as Snow watched him run off. When Everest put a paw on her shoulder, she brought up what she felt Everest though. "I bet what I just told you sounds stupid in regards to Claw."
"No, of course not!" Everest exclaimed, not wanting Snow to feel like her feelings didn't matter. "Everyone gains trust for someone at their own pace. No one's forcing you to handle it the same way the rest of us are."
Snow was glad to hear that, but she still wished she could trust Claw. At least she got to talk to Everest about the matter. "Thanks Everest. I needed this." Everest smiled in response, always being glad to help her little sister. She just wished she could've helped her more with her trauma regarding their parents before Charm captured her. At least now, she had as much time as she needed to help her. That helped ease the guilt.
Flare and the others were having the lunch Flare prepared for everyone, and he made everyone's meals accordingly to their tastes in food. Zuma, being Zuma, wanted the spiciest of the meals, which landed him a spicy fish sandwich. He instantly knew what the taste of spice he got was when he asked Flare. "You used ghost peppews, didn't you."
Flare nodded his head yes with Rocky eating a slightly less spicy sandwich. This one made him pant a little, and he had to drink a bit of milk to douse it down. "Good thing YOU got that one Zuma. Even I wouldn't be able to handle ghost peppers."
"I can think of one thing welating to ghost peppews you'd be able to handle." Zuma flirted lightly, and Rocky smiled romantically in response.
Claw had finished his trout sandwich before asking Flare why he decided to prepare all this. "Hey Flare, I thought you said you don't cook seafood that often. What made you decide to make all of this for us?"
"Well we're on a beach, and beaches like fish, so I figured it'd be fitting." Flare explained happily, and he bit into his salmon sandwich as he further explained it. "I was also feeling more up for it yesterday than I usually am, so I thought I'd take a crack at it and see how well actually cooking fish and stuff like that holds up."
Claw happily grabbed a crab cake as he let Flare know that he was right to do that. "You definitely made a good call." Claw happily dug into the crab cake and was impressed with how well Flare made it. "Okay. I'm almost convinced that there's nothing you can't cook."
When Flare grabbed for a crab cake himself, Claw looked worried when he did. Marshall quickly figured out why and let Claw know as Flare bit into the crab cake. "Don't worry Claw. Flare had crab a couple days after we discovered his lobster allergy. He'll be fine if he eats that."
Claw was glad to hear that, and Snow was shown to be observing him as he commented on Flare's smarts. "I guess Flare wouldn't be dumb enough to have something he knew he couldn't eat." Snow quickly took notice to the fact that Claw seemed much more relaxed with her and the others than before. He just had an interaction with Marshall without looking crazy too. The only question she had is if he was doing this because he genuinely enjoyed their company, or if he was up to something they didn't know about. If only she knew a faster way to find out.
After everyone had lunch, Snow was observing the finished product of the sand castle she was working on all morning with Flare, Marshall, and Everest. She seemed to be enjoying the finished product, and as she was observing it, she heard Flare's voice form behind. "Hey Snow."
Snow was always happy to see Flare, and she turned around with a smile when she heard his voice. "Hey Flare. I really like how you finished this bad boy up."
"Thanks." Flare responded, and Snow then noticed his worried look, and also that he was making sure no one else was watching. Since Flare came for it anyway, he decided to go ahead and be honest with Snow. "I overheard you and Everest talking earlier." Snow figured as much when she saw Flare's reaction to her greeting him. She wasn't mad though. At least he was being honest now. "It sounded like you were going through a lot even before Everest got captured. Do you wanna talk about it?"
Snow knew Flare was looking out for her, but she didn't know if she could speak about this clearly. She still had a long way to go before she'd completely moved on from her past. "You don't mind if I'm vague, right?"
"Of course not." Flare assured Snow, being willing to accept whatever she was willing to talk about. "You shouldn't have to say any more than you want to."
Snow was relieved and decided to go ahead and start, despite the somber look she gave when she did. "Everest and I didn't have the best parents. Our mom was a liar, and our dad was... something else." Flare wanted to ask more, but he knew he shouldn't butt in to ask Snow anything that'd make her uncomfortable. It was clear she was struggling to even talk about this vaguely. "One day, they both did something so bad that Everest took me and ran. It was July 13th; Everest's tenth birthday. A month after my sixth birthday, and a month before I arrived in Adventure Bay."
Flare knew that was all Snow was willing to say with her silence after she was done. He had a question about the part about her mom being a liar however. "Is your mom being a liar the reason you're struggling to trust Claw." Snow nodded her head yes, and Flare started to feel guilty for possibly hurting her. He never thought it'd be this hard on her to give Claw a chance. "Snow, I... I'm sorry. I didn't know I was hurting you when I convinced everyone to give Claw a chance."
"No no, you didn't!" Snow assured Flare, not wanting him to blame himself for this ordeal. "It's stupid of me to use my parents as an excuse for not trusting Claw anyway. Even if I can't help it. That's why I kept it to myself and Everest."
Flare didn't want Snow thinking that. She deserved to express her hidden thoughts like everyone else. He looked her right in the eyes with genuine care and a willingness to help her. "If you ever wanna talk, then let me know. I'll be right there for you in a heartbeat."
Flare then hugged Snow, surprising her a bit, but only by a little bit. She then smiled when wrapping her arms around Flare, knowing that it was always genuine coming from him. "Thank you Flare." Flare and Snow's tails started wagging as they embraced. They knew that they were going to be close for as long as they were together.
The Paw Patrol were getting ready to head home, and Snow was looking at Claw as he carried his new beach chair back to the Paw Patroller. She had to admit that despite being skeptical, she at least wanted to make the effort to trust him. She decided to stop wondering and act upon it, because at least then, she could help improve her results. After she grabbed the umbrella she was using and closed it up, she went over to the Paw Patroller and put it in as she got Claw's attention. "You have a second Claw?"
Once Claw knew for sure that his chair was safely in the Paw Patroller, he looked to Snow to see what she wanted to say. "Fire away Snow. I'm all ears."
Snow made sure to get straight to the point once she knew for sure that Claw was listening. "I'm gonna be honest Claw. At first, I couldn't get the fact that you helped Charm back in Barkingburg off my mind. I only really agreed to let you stay here because Flare would never show empathy without a reason."
Claw was a little hurt by those words, but he couldn't really blame Snow. He also expected there to be at least one skeptic. "Not surprising."
"But you've been treating all of us with as much respect as you can when you're not too angry." Snow pointed out, knowing there was a chance she and Claw could be friends. "And I haven't noticed anything suspicious enough to determine that you're still working with Charm." The mention of that brought guilt to Claw, even though he managed to hide it. If only Snow knew the truth. "I want to at least make an effort to start trusting you again, and put my issues with that aside, to where we can hopefully become friends."
Claw was glad to hear that, despite still feeling bad about what he was doing. If only he could decide how he was going to tackle his current situation. "Thanks Snow. That helps me a lot."
"And hopefully Caiomhe and Sweetie coming by will help you with that even more." Snow responded happily, glad she was able to have this brief talk with Claw. Claw only wished he could tell her and the others what was really going on. He still feared that Charm could plan something disastrous if he betrayed him.
The pups were all back at the Lookout, and they were currently talking about the visit Caiomhe and Sweetie were making as Skye made a suggestion. "Truth or dare would be the perfect game for the visit Claw. It's loads of fun, and the best game for those who don't wanna limit the amount of players!"
"I'll hold you up to that Skye." Claw playfully reminded Skye, who giggled a bit in response as Claw then expressed how happy he was to see them again. "Even if their time here isn't perfect, I'm just so glad they don't hate me after the Barkingburg attack."
"That reminds me; we gotta find a way to get the Dragon's Tooth back from Charm." Chase brought up, hoping that they would be able to find his base soon enough. "If only it were easier to figure out where his new base was. (Looks at Claw) You sure he didn't tell you anything Claw?"
Claw nodded his head no, and Ryder spoke up about the situation as he walked over to Chase and rubbed his head affectionately. "Well info or not, we'll still find his base if we keep working hard and covering all the ground we can. And also find a way to scan the Dragon's Tooth." An idea then came to Ryder's mind in regards to that. "Maybe Caiomhe will know something about it's energy."
"If she did, she sure as heck did a good job at hiding it." Claw joked, knowing that everyone had at least one secret in their lives. He then got serious about keeping Caiomhe's involvement to a limit. "Just don't get her involved in the actual missions."
"Wasn't planning on it." Ryder assured Claw, much to his relief as Chase then gave him a thumbs up of respect. "And I think it's best we keep this a secret from her parents too. If the way the Queen treated you is anything to go by, she won't be taking this lightly." Claw nodded in immediate agreement to that one. His name alone would make the Queen flip out.
Flare saw that Snow was slightly calmer around Claw then before, and smiled to her as she smiled back. He could tell quickly that she was serious about making an effort to trust Claw. Zuma then chimed in and decided to get everyone prepared for if they went through with Truth or Dare. "Back to the twuth or dawe thing, ya'll had better watch out for what I have in stowe for you then. (Gives a devious grin) You'll wegwet playing with me once we're done."
The others were definitely concerned for whatever it was Zuma had in store for them. He was the prankster of the team, but just how far could he go in truth or dare? Rocky decided to go ahead and let them know that he wouldn't let Zuma go TOO far with that. "Don't worry. No violent crimes allowed." Zuma snickered when thinking about Truth or Dare. Rocky nuzzled him lovingly, which managed to soothe him down and make him smile as the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.
Rock music played as Claw started speaking in regards to what was going to happen in the next part of the next chapter with specific moments being shown. "Caiomhe and Sweetie finally managed to visit us in Adventure Bay! And Sweetie agreed to our game of Truth or Dare! This is gonna be such a fun night! Too bad Ryder needs Caiomhe for helping to find the Dragon's Tooth. At least I know they still love me. Okay, I'm starting to see just how brutal this game can get."
Snow finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines and the title all white with Flare on one and and Marshall on the other. "Next time, A Gas Filled Truth Or Dare! (Sweetie was wearing her suit that showed off her butt as she sat down next to Claw) Ugh, of course Sweetie would wear the suit that shows off her butt."
