Disclaimer: Before you ask, yes; this will be the start of the climax of season two. We still have two chapters to go counting this one before the real season finale and epilogue chapter, but this will be the official start of season two's climactic showdown. Friend or Foe arc Episode sixteen: A New Base To Claw Through

Everest was currently rock climbing at Jake's Mountain with Snow and Claw. She called down to her younger sister to support her in her progress. "You got it now Snow! Keep it up!" Snow gave a thumbs up to Everest, who then called up to Claw, who she allowed to get a head start as she helped Snow. "Hey Claw!" Claw was taking a picture of something, and when he saw how zoomed in he was, it was revealed to be a picture of Charm's base! After he took the picture, Everest called up to him again. "You okay up there!? We can head down if you're cold!"

Claw sighed with remorse, wishing he didn't feel obligated to do this, and he called down to Everest with concern. "You may want to see this!" Claw went down the rope he was using and looked to Everest once he got to her as he showed her the photo. "Does this base look familiar to you?"

Everest got a good look at the picture, and the base didn't look familiar to her at all. She didn't want to assume anything, but she also couldn't ignore this. "No, it doesn't. It may not be Charm's base, but we should still let Ryder know so we can investigate."

Snow was getting close to where Claw and Everest were, calling up to see why they stopped. "What's going on guys!? Did Claw step on a sharp rock!?"

"No, but he did find something that looks kinda suspicious!" Everest called back down, and Claw looked away in an attempt to hide his guilt. "We're gonna have to finish this another time!"

"And just when I got back into it too." Snow snarked to herself, disappointed that she couldn't finish the rock climbing session, but knowing that Adventure Bay was more important. She called up to Everest to let her know she was on board. "I'll meet you guys back on the ground!"

Everest gave a thumbs up to Snow with Claw putting on a smile and joking about the predicament. "Good thing we already had breakfast."

Everest giggled a bit before responding, "Yep!" and as she began to climb down, Claw looked at the rock wall with intense remorse. He didn't want to do this, but he couldn't bare the thought of Charm deciding Sweetie and Caiohme's fate."

Claw was telling Ryder about what he 'found', and as Ryder inspected the photo, he admitted that he didn't know about this. "No, I haven't heard anything about this. And I imagine Mayor Goodway or Richie would've told me if something like this was going on."

Everest and Snow were with Claw, and Everest stepped up, hoping it wasn't anything too serious. "You don't think it could really be a base made by Charm, do you?"

"Considering the lack of information, it's a likely possibility. An investigation should be in order." Ryder said in response, and he took out his Pup-Pad as he assured the three pups that he was on it to make sure Adventure Bay was safe. "I won't let Adventure Bay fall if it is him though. No job is too big, no pup is too small!"

Flare and Marshall were in the front yard of the Lookout with the two washing his pup pack as they talked about how to use it for later. "Maybe we could make some mud targets so we can see how fast it can take care of mud."

Flare giggled a bit as he thought about something relating to the water. "Whatever you do, try not to drink the water. It's gross!"

Marshall smirked as he called Flare out for something he believes happened sometime before. "Did you drink it?"

Flare had a look of cute guilt on his face as he tried to cover up drinking the water. "I don't know."

Just then, Marshall's pup tag beeped with Marshall letting everyone know to come to the Lookout. "Paw Patrol, to the Lookout!"

"Ryder's calling!" Flare and Marshall said in sync, and Marshall accidentally pressed a button on his pup pack, causing it to start spraying. Flare hopped on as soon as it started shooting off like an on land jet-ski.

Flare and the rest of the pups, sans Snow, Everest, and claw were running for the elevator with Flare and Marshall jetting into the elevator. Flare was laughing with Marshall warning the others "Look out!" before the two Dalmatians crashed into them and made a pile.

Rocky and Zuma ended up getting sprayed as a result of this when the pup pack flew up, leaving Rocky to comment on how wet he was. "Water cannon wipeout. That's a first."

Once Flare and Marshall emerged from the pile, Flare was quick to announce that he arrived unscaved. "I'm okay!"

"Hey; that's MY line!" Marshall joked, causing the rest of the pups to laugh as the elevator closed and began to rise.

The elevator did it's usual thing, giving each of the pups their suits one by one. Flare couldn't help thinking about how he was gonna be involved in this one day. At the same time however, Marshall had a look of guilt on his face caused by him breaking his promise to Flare last month. That moment had to wait however. Now, it was mission time. When the elevator door opened, the pups all jumped into their usual spots, and Claw stood next to Everest, since he didn't have a spot of his own, where as Flare got in between Marshall and Snow. Chase then said his signature line.

"Paw Patrol, ready for action Ryder sir!"

Ryder took his pup pad and opened up Jake's Mountain on the big screen as he explained to the pups who just arrived what was going on. "Thanks for coming so quickly pups. Snow, Everest, and Claw found a strange new base in Jake's Mountain while they were rock climbing out there." Claw did his best to hide his remorse, which Everest quickly picked up on, being the closest to him. "We don't know if it's Charm's base yet, so we'll need some of you to investigate."

"I'll go!" Claw blurted out, surprising the others before he elaborated on why it was that he wanted to go. "I know I'm not exactly a full time member like most of you are, but if there's one way I can prove to you that I want to do good in the world, it's helping to stop Charm."

Ryder appreciated the offer, despite the real reason Claw was offering to go. "If you're really up for it Claw. Just make sure to stay out of Charm's sight during the mission."

Claw nodded in response with Everest deciding to be the second pup who went on the mission. "I'm going too." Snow gave a look of worry upon hearing that with Everest then explaining herself. "Claw's gonna need someone who knows cold environments, right? No better dog breed than a Husky to help him brave the cold if it's serious up there."

"Well... okay. Chase would be the best to have for if we need to rescue you anyway." Ryder then took his Pup-Phone out and sent a text to Richie to let him know what was going down. "I'll be sending Richie with you just in case. He's the best at combat on the team, besides me, and he's half demon. So he'll be the best company during the mission." Claw and Everest took note of that with Claw having to admit that he was even more worried now. Just what he needed; the half demon coming on the trip. Not that he disliked Richie, but he was one observant teen for sure.

Marshall did have some words to share with Everest, looking worried as he said them. "J-just be careful Everest. We wouldn't want you being Charm's prisoner twice."

"Thanks Marshall. I'll do my best make sure that doesn't happen." Everest assured Marshall while blushing softly, and Claw tried to make sure he didn't get upset as Marshall started blushing as well; both for the mission, and to avoid hurting Marshall or Everest.

Everest, Claw, and Richie were heading off to Jake's Mountain with Claw riding in the passenger's seat of Everest's snowmobile. Everest could tell that Claw was thinking hard about stuff, and she wanted to talk to him about it, but she also knew that it wasn't the time. She then heard Richie call over to them. "Hey Everest!" Everest looked at Richie, who had his motorcycle turned on auto-drive before talking to her. "I know this will be tough for you! Just try not to let your emotions overtake you!"

Everest was already prepared for meeting with her captor again, and she nodded in response, being ready for anything. "You got it Richie!" Everest then felt that Richie would be able to help with that, since he must've been through a lot too. "You have any plans for if we do get caught?"

"Knowing Charm, he's gonna wanna brag to Ryder about this after he pulls it off." Richie reminded Everest, knowing quite well that Charm wasn't the type to kidnap someone and leave it in the dark. "That should lead to the others finding us. I should be able to put something together if that doesn't happen."

Everest knew Charm too well to deny that, being disgusted by just how cocky he was. "He had no problem showing how much he loved torturing others, that's for sure. I'm just lucky he didn't do anything too serious to me." Everest then looked over to Claw, who was scratching his ear. Feeling this somehow related to his current emotions, she felt she should talk to him about it later. "Scratchy ear?"

Claw looked to Everest, hating that he had to lie to her about this. "Yeah." In reality, that was the same ear Claw had his earpiece from Charm in. He wanted to smash it and live with the Paw Patrol, but he knew that wasn't an option for him now. He had to guarantee Sweetie and Caiohme's safety at all costs. If only Claw knew that Charm was five steps ahead of him. Just then, Claw remembered what Ryder said about Richie. He looked over to Richie on his motorcycle and started thinking that maybe, just maybe, he could help Sweetie and Caiohme in a different way. "Maybe."

Flare and Snow were watching TV with Flare taking notice to Snow being upset about something. He hoped she wouldn't mind him asking about it. "Are you okay Snow?" Snow looked to Flare, who was quick to catch onto the fact that she was worried about how the mission would go. "Is this about what'll happen if that base really is Charm's?"

Snow sighed and nodded her head yes, confirming that this was about the mission. "Pretty much, yeah. Mostly regarding Everest." Snow opened up to Flare a bit, knowing that this was something he'd want to hear about. "She's been held captive by Charm for so long after she saved me from him. What if she gets captured again? Then we'll be back to square one and our rescue in Prison City will have been for nothing."

Flare could tell that Snow was scared for what could happen to Everest, and he couldn't blame her. He knew he'd feel the same way if Marshall faced that kind of torment. Still, he did his best to make Snow feel better. "I don't think that'll happen this time Snow. Richie's able to take every pup on the team on if he wants to, and Claw's no slouch when it comes to fighting."

"I know. But it's not enough to defeat Charm." Snow informed Flare, knowing what Charm was capable of by that point.

Flare saw what Snow was getting at and brought up another point that he felt would help her feel better. "Well... it's just an investigation, right? That could mean they're just checking it out, and they'll come back once we're done to make sure we know exactly how to take the base down."

Snow saw Flare's point, smiling as she brought up something else that could happen during the mission. "And if they have to go inside to find out what Charm's doing?"

Before Flare could bring that up however, Skye called out from the hallway with a secret phrase for only Snow to understand. "Huskypoo!"

Snow signaled Flare to leave the room as soon as she heard that, making Flare giggle as he did. "I don't know what that meant, but okay." Flare then headed outside to go see what Marshall was up to. As he did, Skye set down the plans for Flare's birthday party, hi pawing Snow as they got to work again.

Everest hopped out of her snowmobile with Claw doing the same, and Richie hopping off of his motorcycle. As they were about to start the investigation, Claw got a call from Charm and knew that he had to fess up, so he decided to tell Everest then and there. "Everest?" Everest looked to Claw, who tried to hide his sadness as he did this. "I have something to confess. I didn't stop working with Charm after the Barkingburg attack." Everest was shocked to hear this as Claw then showed her the vibrating earpiece. "I worked with him up to now as well."

Everest couldn't believe what she was hearing. Claw was working with Charm all this time? She looked at the base as Richie waited by his motorcycle, deciding not to intervene as Everest spoke up. "Up to now. Does... does that mean this base really is Charm's?"

Claw nodded his head yes as he then spoke about how much he regretted doing this. "I'm so, sorry Everest. I know it was wrong of me, and I should've backed out of it. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt you."

Everest had heard enough of this and gave Claw the benefit of the doubt, knowing that Charm wasn't the type to treat his minions fairly. "Look. I'm sure you had your reasons."

"I did." Claw answered, and he looked to her in the hopes that his reasons weren't in vain. "All I can hope for now is that Caiohme and Sweetie are still okay. And that what Ryder said about Richie means what I think it means."

Everest picked up on that and decided that if Claw really was a good guy, he'd be willing to accept help. "We can make sure of it before taking the base down."

Claw smiled in response to that and crushed the earpiece before tossing it aside. He then walked on ahead with Everest, only for Richie to speak up, revealing that he heard the whole thing. "It takes heart and courage for someone to confess to what they've done Claw." Claw got scared as he noticed Richie's expression, which was then revealed to be a look of determination as he finished what he had to say. "And it takes even more of that to be willing to atone for their mistakes."

Claw was glad to see that Richie was on board with him staying on the mission and nodded to him with a look of assurance. "Then atone I shall." Claw walked on ahead with Everest and Richie, knowing they were all ready to take Charm's base down and save Adventure Bay.

Everest, Claw, and Richie arrived at the entrance to the base, where they noticed three soldiers guarding the entrance gate while hiding in a bush. Claw was more than happy to express his annoyance over this. "Of course it wasn't going to be easy to get in."

"And it'd get even harder if the guards inside hear us." Everest pointed out, and then Claw came up with something that he felt would work. "Anyone have a plan?"

"I do." Claw answered instantly, looking to Everest and Richie to see if either of them had what he needed. "You guys have any rope?"

The guards were shown to be getting rather bored as they saw Claw walking up with Everest and Richie having their paws and hands tied. The first one spoke up when Claw arrived at the gate. "Hey; what are YOU doing here!? And why are those two tied up in rope!?"

"First of all, in case you forgot, Charm hired me to find the place for his base to be set up in the first place." Claw reminded the guards, and then he explained what he was doing at the base. "Second of all, I managed to capture Everest and Richie from the Paw Patrol. They were sent up here to investigate the base, and I saw the perfect chance to give Charm two new torture subjects to play with."

As much as that description disgusted Claw and frightened Everest, the plan seemed to work, as the guards simply let Claw through with the second one speaking up. "Apologies Claw! Charm should be on the top floor! He actually has two other new torture subjects he recently found."

That alarmed Claw, but he kept his cool the best he could with his teeth gritting as he walked past them. "Great! Thank you! Bye!" Claw couldn't help stressing about what he'd just heard. The first thought that came to mind was that Charm went back on his word. 'Could they be referring to Sweetie and Caiohme? I know he hasn't gotten any of the Paw Patrol members. Or is it just two random people he hates?' Everest noticed Claw's expression and wished she could help. But she had to avoid trying to cheer him up so the plan would go accordingly.

Back at the Lookout, Flare and Marshall were playing with Marshall's pup gear in the front yard. They of course, made sure to be careful, as to avoid splashing anyone. Marshall was currently using his water cannons to spray down some evil dirt monsters he and Flare made as he taunted them. "Take that evil dirt monsters! No one messes with the Paw Patrol!"

"That's right!" Flare joined in, and when Marshall was finished, Flare started to get excited about what kind of gear he'd have when he joined the team. "Ya know Marshall, Ryder told me that my training is almost finished. (Marshall flinches) What do you think he'll have me use for my pup gear?"

Marshall tried to hide what he did last month and hoped that he wouldn't end up upsetting Flare in any way. "I'm not sure Flare. We'll have to wait and see."

Flare and Marshall walked over to the now destroyed dirt monsters as Flare stomped on one of them with his paw. "I guess that makes sense. I mean, he could make me a backup for you, like he did for Snow with Chase. And he could even come up with an entirely new role for me."

"Yeah. He could." Marshall then felt the guilt starting to overtake him, and he decided to just go ahead and tell Flare what he did then and there. "Hey Flare? There's something I should tell you."

"What is it Marshall?" Flare asked, and upon seeing Marshall's remorseful expression, his look changed from a smile to concern. "It's not something super bad, is it?"

Just then, Marshall got a call from Ryder, who was reminding him of something he said he'd do that day. "Hey Marshall. This may have slipped your mind, but you promised Alex you'd teach him some fire safety tips today."

Marshall then gained a look of realization, as this was not only to help Alex, but also to see how far he'd come in his role of the Paw Patrol since the beginning. "Oh crap; I DID forget! Sorry Ryder! I'll be right there!" Marshall hung up to get a hurry on and let Flare know that they would talk later. "We can talk later Flare. I know Snow's busy, but maybe Chase has something for you to do."

"Okay!" Flare rushed off with excitement after hugging his older brother, who couldn't help but feel awful about what he was doing. He was practically lying to his brother; and breaking a promise to him no less. He knew how important promises were to Flare. All he could do now was hope that Flare wouldn't hate him once he found out the truth.

Claw was walking Everest and Richie around the base as he noticed Trickery walking down the isle with an ice cream cone. Claw knew it would help if he were to address Trickery, since the Kishu was very close with Charm. "Greetings Trickery!"

Trickery noticed Claw and smiled upon seeing him, especially after seeing that he captured Richie of all members. "Greetings Claw." He then eyed Richie, who glared at him as soon as he did. "Funny. I've been trying to capture this one for years."

"Who? Richie?" Claw asked, looking at Richie as he noticed how angry he was. "Do you two have some kind of history?"

"You could say that." Trickery chuckled a bit as he taunted Richie with a jab at their past. "He's probably still bitter with daddy and is taking it out on me."

Richie then snapped at Trickery, but avoided anything more than a harsh tone, knowing that it'd damage the mission's success. "You know full well what he and Slash did after I adopted Rocky!"

"Slash?" Everest asked, not being familiar with that name and deciding to ask about it as Trickery took a lick of his ice cream. "Who's Slash?"

"Charm's father." Richie answered, and then he held back his anger with a spec of his hair shown to had been black before it changed back to white. "Believe it or not, he was even worse than Charm. (Glares at Trickery) Not that it excuses what he's doing mind you."

"Oh, hush now Richie." Trickery advised Richie, not wanting to get into a scrap heap just now. "There's no need to get methodical."

Claw decided to get back on topic, since Richie was starting to get worked up there. "Hey Trickery. Do you happen to know where the base's generator is?"

"Second highest floor, middle of the room from the elevator." Trickery informed Claw, walking off as he grinned devilishly in a manner that implied Claw was already caught. "You can't miss it." Claw walked off with Everest and Richie followed suit. As much as Richie wanted to beat Trickery's face in, he knew it wouldn't benefit the mission in any way.

Charm was chugging down a bottle of whiskey, and as it burnt his chest a bit, he let out a nasty burp into his paw. After doing so, Claw came into the room with Everest and Richie, leaving Charm to smile with glee as he walked up to them. "Ah, Claw! I see you've been busy." Charm walked up to Claw as Everest and Richie stood behind the Doberman. "I suppose I'll forgive you failing to answer my call from earlier."

Claw chuckled nervously, hoping that this wouldn't come back to bite him in the butt. "Yep. They're both here and ready for torture." Charm signaled Claw to come with him, and as he did, Claw decided to ask about the other two torture subjects Charm had. "So. One of your guards said you had two new torture subjects. Who are they?"

Charm chuckled devilishly with Claw and Everest being disturbed by it, and Richie sighing in response to Claw's dense move there, just before Charm responded. "You'll figure that out soon enough." Despite Claw's fear, he contained himself with Charm then continuing the conversation. "Now it's MY turn to ask a question." Once Charm reached the wall, he asked Claw a question himself with a sadistic tone in his voice. "Did you really think I would honor your condition of keeping them safe?"

Charm took out a remote as soon as Claw flinched in response to that, leaving the dragons he possessed with the dragon's tooth to appear before Everest, Claw, and Richie. A bunch of guards surrounded them as well, and as they did, Claw instantly recognized Sunshine with them and brought it to Everest's attention. "Isn't that Flare's dragon friend?"

Everest saw Sunshine and couldn't believe the hypnotic state he was in. She'd only met Sunshine a couple times before, but it was still a surprise to her. "Yeah, that's him. From what Snow told me, he should be easy to get back."

"Don't count on it." Charm advised the Husky as he pulled out the Dragon's Tooth, revealing to the three that the dragons were now under his control. As he tossed it up and caught it, he brought up how obvious it was that he'd be using this. "What? You didn't think I'd steal this and not use it, did you?" Charm then flicked a switch that revealed the cages he wanted the three to stay in. "Bring Claw over to the cage beside the torture subjects. Richie and Everest can stay next to him."

Trickery appeared in the room right after that, taking out a card in seeming preparation for something. "Consider yourselves lucky you three won't have to see Charm's big plan in action."

Claw started to get enraged and tried to attack Charm, only for Richie to stop him and nod his head no with a stern look. That told Claw to back down, but he still taunted Charm. "You won't get away with this Charm!"

"We'll see about that." Charm taunted back, and as the three were being put into their cages, Charm added something to what he had to say. "Seeing the looks on their faces with what I have planned for Adventure Bay is going to be so cathartic!" Charm then flicked another switch, revealing the torture subjects. "Say hello to my new toys!"

Claw looked to where the light shone and became horrified when he saw Sweetie and Caiohme shouting in fear with tape covering their mouths. He clenched his fists as he backed up, and a whole universe of anger and fear was surrounding him. He glared at Charm, and then he charged towards the cage and pounded on it as he yelled at him. "YOU MONSTER!" Charm couldn't help rolling his eyes at that downplayed version of who he was. "LET THEM GO RIGHT NOW IF YOU WANT TO STAY BREATHING AFTER THIS IS OVER!"

"Relax; I haven't done anything to them yet." Charm assured Claw, who growled in response as Charm further explained to Claw what he wanted to do with them. "I just knew you'd loathe whatever it was I did to them, so I waited until you were in my clutches to hurt them."

Claw's heart sank when he realized what that meant, and he turned to Caiohme and Sweetie with desperation as Charm went over to them. "Sweetie; Caiohme; I'm sorry! I'm gonna get you two out of this, I swear upon it!"

Everest and Richie could see the fear in Claw's eyes as Charm then took out a remote that pulled up some kind of monitor. "We'll see what all of Adventure Bay has to say about that when they figure out what you did for me." Claw's remorse hit an all time high as Charm opened his cell door, wishing he'd never worked for Charm in the first place. "Call it contrived if you like. I prefer to look at it as... me boasting about my victory." Charm signaled Claw to come with him with Claw doing his best to hold everything back from his anger and sadness, knowing that one wrong move could get Sweetie and Caiohme killed.

Marshall was currently giving Alex one of his many fire safety tips; this one involving him covering his mouth and nose with a wet cloth. Marshall was glad to see how well he was doing it, being quick to praise him as he did. "You're a natural Alex! You just might've been able to handle any fire without me!"

"Ya really think so!?" Alex asked excitedly after taking the cloth off, leaving Marshall to laugh a bit as he replied.

"Well if you can get the stuff I'm teaching you down this quickly, then it's not completely out of the question." Alex felt proud of himself after Marshall said that, and then he started to think about Flare again and decided to take a break from the fire safety training. "I think four tips should do it for now Alex. We can keep practicing later."

"Okay Marshall!" Alex responded as he hugged Marshall, and then he headed off to play with his toys for now.

Marshall went over to Ryder, who was writing down some kind of birthday card for Flare. He noticed Marshall and greeted him with a smile after he sat down across from him. "Hey Marshall. How's the fire safety training going?"

"It's going great; thanks Ryder." Marshall informed Ryder, and then he spoke up again about how he felt regarding Flare. "I couldn't help thinking about Flare after that last tip I showed Alex though. I can't shake it off my mind that maybe I should've made a different call last month."

Ryder was about to start giving Marshall some much needed advice that would help him in the long run. "You know him better than any of us Marshall. You'll know how to handle it the best if he doesn't take this well." Marshall saw Ryder's point, and then he filled him in on some more information. "Like I said. It's up to him whether or not he joins. We may not even have to-"

Just then, Charm came on the TV in Mr. Porter's restaurant, catching Ryder and Marshall off guard as he began his speech. "Why hello Adventure Bay. Did you miss me?"

Back at the Paw Patrol Lookout, Flare and Chase were playing in Chase's room with Chase putting Flare into a choke hold. Flare managed to bite his paw gently and make him laugh, which led to Chase pinning him to the ground and giving him raspberries. After Flare started laughing from this, Zuma opened the door to Chase's room and let them know what was going on. "Dudes! Chawm hacked our living woom TV! Check it!"

Flare and Chase rushed off as soon as Zuma told him about the hacking, and everyone else was already there, with Rocky yelling at Charm right as they arrived. "Whatever you're scheming, just give it up Charm! We're not gonna stop until we beat you!"

Chase then spoke up, knowing that Charm was up to no good. "And thanks for confirming that the base we found WAS yours Charm. Where are Everest, Claw, and Richie?"

"Funny you should mention them." Charm turned the monitor to where the mentioned Paw Patrol members were with the others being horrified to see them captured. The fact that Sweetie and Caiohme were also captured added a little extra fear to their eyes.

Snow snapped and ran up to the TV, refusing to let Charm hold Everest hostage again. "If you do anything to them, Everest especially, I'll find the sharpest object in your base and kill you myself!"

Charm then signaled someone to come over to him, and it was then revealed to be Claw, with what he said next shocking the others. "Even the traitor?" Once he saw the looks on the others' faces, Charm made it clear that Claw's mission in Barkingburg wasn't a one time thing. "You didn't actually think getting me the Dragon's tooth was the only thing Claw was doing for me, right?" Claw did his best to hide his remorse, knowing what it would result in if he didn't. "He's the biggest reason I was able to get this base set up at all! It was a cakewalk thanks to him!"

Everest tried to call out to the others to explain this, only for Richie to stop her in an instant before gesturing her to Sweetie and Caiohme. They were held at gunpoint, which also revealed to Everest why Claw tried to look so remorseless while on camera. She was disgusted by all of this and glared at Charm, who continued to boast about how easy it was to fulfill his plans. "Don't be too hurt by the betrayal however. That's child's play compared to what I have planned for that dolt filled beach town you call home."

Charm pulled out a switch and revealed the monitor that would show what he had planned for Adventure Bay. "This base of mine has something connected to Adventure Bay that's going to drain enough of it's life source to send it into an apocalyptic state. Then I'll get to watch you all beat each other to death for who gets to be ruler!" Charm looked back as he boasted about how easy it was to pull this off. "It's quite a pity your good hearts turned out to be your downfall. Now those pathetic humans in your town won't be able to resist the carnage deep within them."

Chase was quick to call this plan out, knowing that there had to be some kind of catch for it. "So that's your plan!? You make it harder to live here and force all of us to fight each other!?"

"Oh, there are more steps to it than that Chase." Charm revealed, not wanting to disclose every detail right then and there. "But let's face it. If I tried to explain everything, then it wouldn't be as fun now, would it?" Charm then brought the monitor over to him as he revealed his two prisoners. "Of course, you could try to rebel, and end up like your friends here." Rocky and Snow became horrified when they saw that Everest and Richie were captured with both of them screaming in horror.

"Everest!"

"Richie!"

Charm couldn't help loving what was going to come from all of this and left one final message for everyone to let sink in. "I know what you're thinking. What if you just leave Adventure Bay?" Charm gave a sadistic grin as he pointed out how this was a win win situation for him. "Well, if you do that... at least I'll still get to force to to abandon your home. After all, causing others pain is my greatest delight." Claw glared at Charm with the monitor being unable to show it, and Charm left one final message to really let it sink in that he meant business.

"That's what you get for trusting a minion of mine."

Charm shut off the monitor, leaving Claw to snap at the Golden Retriever as he called out something Richie told him earlier. "And your father was worse than you! That sure sounds possible with what you're doing right now!"

"Well my father having worked with demons before might've had something to do with those claims." Charm admitted, grabbing Claw's paw as he walked off with him. "Whether or not he WAS worse than me is up for debate."

Charm opened up Claw's cell and kicked him into it, leaving Claw to yell at him some more about how his plan would fail. "Your plan is stupid Charm! I've seen the people of Adventure Bay! All of them! They won't resort to senseless violence for a title that doesn't exist."

"Like I said. I'll be delighted so long as pain is caused for them." Charm walked off with the camera shown as he brought up one more benefit to his plan. "And there's never just one way to make others suffer." Charm covered up the screen as he walked into it with a sadistic grin, leading to these three words being shown on a black screen.

Melancholic music played as Flare started speaking in regards to what was going to happen in the next chapter with specific moments being shown. "Drama's rising in Adventure Bay. I got a look at what some of the residents are up to, and they're all really scared. Some of them are even considering leaving. Even if they don't fight, Charm's plan will still do some serious damage. Did all of this really happen because we trusted Claw? No, it can't be. I should at least hear Claw out before deciding that."

Flare finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines and the title all white with Flare on one and and Marshall on the other. "Next time, Flare's First Tears Of Sadness! (Flare was shown hopping into the driver's seat of Marshall's truck to stop Charm) There's no turning back now. And this time, I'm doing it right."
