Disclaimer: That's right everyone. Paleclaw is finally appearing in the main story of PPX in the present! Hopefully they leave a good impression for what I have planned for them in this season.

And if you're wondering why I didn't have Zuma find Rubble instead despite them having similar predicaments, that's why.

Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.

Paw Patrol X

Demon Defense arc Episode two: Same Friends, New Trials Part Two

Flare was washing the dishes that were used for the breakfast he made before hearing Rocky and Rubble behind him led to him stopping on the last plate. He instantly turned around to greet Rocky, "Rocky, you're back!" and then noticed Rubble standing next to him. He went over to the two canines and addressed Rubble with a smile. "Hi there! My name's Flare. Are you a new friend of Rocky's?"

"I mean... we just met." Rubble admitted, not sure if 'friend' would be the right word to use just yet. "My name's Rubble. Rocky told me you could make me something good."

Flare got excited from the challenge and happily informed Rubble that he could do even better than that. "Oh, I'll give you waaay better than good! Just you wait until you get served!"

Flare rushed over to the stove and got everything he needed, leaving Rocky to try and get to know Rubble better. "So. You have anything you like to do?"

"Not really. I've been on my own for a while now, so not a lot of time for hobbies." Rubble answered, and then he noticed Rocky's concerned look, which got on his nerves. "Hey, come on now. I don't need sympathy or anything. I've gotten used to it."

"Right; sorry." Rocky apologized, and then he explained why he felt that way. "It's just, my boyfriend spent a lot of time without anyone to care about him before he started living here. It's hard for me not to think about what you must be going through right now."

Rubble definitely understood Rocky's feelings more after that, but he still didn't like the idea of others feeling bad for him. "Like I said. I don't need sympathy."

Rocky had an idea on how he could help Rubble. One that he hoped he would be down for. "Maybe you can stay for a day or two after you eat? Just to recover any necessary energy to help prepare for any treacherous scenarios during your journey."

Rubble wasn't too sure about that. It'd been a while since he'd been in a house with others. "Well... I don't know what 'treacherous' means, but I'll think about it. Just to see what it's like again."

"Great! Just one day with us, and you might not wanna leave." Rocky then corrected what he said so Rubble knew what he meant. "I mean, it IS your call if you want to leave. But it would be great if you stayed."

"Good to know." Rubble responded, showing that he got that Rocky wasn't trying to force anything onto him.

Flare was shown to be cooking a casual breakfast for Rubble. Or at least what would be casual from him. "How do you like your eggs!?"

Flare was serving Rubble his food a few minutes later, and Rubble's mouth was watering when he saw it. It was a big breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, and breakfast sausage, with chocolate chip pancakes. Rubble didn't know what to try first, and Flare's urging convinced him to just dig right in. "Come on Rubble; eat up!" Rubble happily did so, and Rocky was happy to see him eating a good meal. Flare noticed this and couldn't help speaking up about it. "Where did you find him?"

"He was sleeping in an alleyway somewhere in town." Rocky explained, and then he made Rubble an offer that he hoped he would enjoy. "Hey Rubble. Whataya say I introduce you to the rest of the Paw Patrol?"

Rubble was just finishing his sausage when Rocky made that offer, feeling that it wouldn't be so bad to get to know everyone. "I guess it wouldn't be so bad. At long as Flare keeps giving me some of this amazing food."

"Try and stop me." Flare responded, showing that he'd always be ready to cook for someone who was hungry. Flare then looked to Rocky, hoping he was okay from earlier. "Hey Rocky. Are you okay from earlier?"

Rocky was still struggling to adjust to his wolf half, but decided to let Flare know that he was on it. "I will be. I decided to research some stuff about wolves on the way back. That should help me better understand my primary breed."

Flare was glad to see Rocky taking initiative over this. He had a lot going on right now too however, so he wanted Rocky to know he was there for him. "Let me know if you want my help with that." Rocky rubbed Flare's head and went off to get the others, leaving Flare to see just how much Rubble was eating, making him laugh a bit. "Someone was hungry."

Rubble finished his breakfast happily and set down his plate to see if Flare would be willing to make him more. "Is it good that I'm hungry enough for seconds?"

Rubble was finishing up his third plate of food, happily patting his belly with the rest of the pups being impressed with how much he ate. "Thanks Flare. Rocky was right about your cooking. That was the best!" Flare smiled in response, and Rubble then commented on how much he ate. "And you sure had no problem feeding me a lot of it either. I can't remember the last time I've been this full."

"That's my brother for ya. Always ready to help you stuff your face." Marshall chimed in, and after he and Everest laughed at the pun, the others were quick to call him out, except for Rubble.

"Marshall!"

The rest of the Paw Patrol laughed before Rubble caught their attention by letting out...

UUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRP

...a loud five second burp and then patting his tummy again. The pup certainly had some strong belches for his young age, and the green cloud helped to empathize that. "You aren't kidding about that. And I think I just made some room for more!"

Chase saw a challenge coming his way and decided to take it as he spoke to Rubble with a smug grin. "I take it that's also something that's been absent for a while." Rubble nodded his head yes in response, and then Chase gave Rubble a warning, which everyone else caught onto instantly. "Feast your eyes on what a gas pro can do." Rubble became intrigued, and on cue, Chase released...

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP

...a massive thirty second burp that made the ground shake and let out a massive green cloud that cleared out the entire dining room. The rest of the pups evacuated with Rubble and Claw leaving right before Chase, who looked down to him with a confident grin. "I think I'll wait until lunch to eat again." The Bulldog then praised Chase for how good of a job he did on that belch. "But that was a good one."

"That was nothing. One time last month, I farted for two weeks straight." Chase revealed, leaving Rubble's mind blown over how someone could fart for that long. He looked over to Claw for proof, since he was right next to him. He confirmed it with a nod, and Chase then said something else about him. "Claw over here stands as our second best farter." Claw got annoyed by that title with Chase bringing up the Doberman's own max fart time. "He once reached twelve days for HIS max."

"As if the kid needed you to flex on me Chase!" Claw responded with frustration, showing that he was still the hothead he was when he first joined the team.

"Hey, I'm just stating the facts." Chase assured Claw, and Rubble was left surprised by what he'd just learned. He didn't think any dog could fart that much. And he was clearly no slouch in the gas department himself.

Rocky was looking at a book on the history of wolves so he could understand his newly discovered primary breed better. Zuma was searching on his laptop for some information about wolves, and was happy to share the information he found with Rocky. "Wicked news Wocky. Appawently, wolves awen't savage cweatures. But they did used to kill animals for suwvival before canine and feline styled cweatures could do all the stuff humans do."

"Unsurprising. Some animals are still doing that to this day." Rocky responded, and then he revealed something he found in his history book. "Wolves have been around for one million years!? Seriously; this dates back to the Ice Age era!"

Zuma scooted his wheely chair over to Rocky's as he cracked a joke about how this must've been for another creature. "That must've been bad for the Woolly Mammoths." Zuma snickered a bit before noticing Rocky going into a conflicted mind again. His tone changed, and he started reminding Rocky of who he was. "That's just how they were back then Wocky. That doesn't say anything about who you are now." Rocky looked at Zuma, who smiled as he brought up how serious he was. "If it did, you wouldn't have been so emotional at Science's funewal."

Zuma then remembered something as he ran over to Doubloon's bowl and took out his fish food with Rocky reminding him of something important. "Not too much, remember?"

"Yeah, I wemember. Eat up Doubloon." Zuma finished feeding Doubloon and put the food away before heading back over to Rocky as he pointed out something else. "I haven't seen you kill a single canine in the time we've met that wasn't in self defense." Rocky was grateful for the support, but still didn't know what to make of the situation. Even Zuma cuddling him didn't make him much less unsure. "You'll always be Wocky."

Rocky wrapped his arm around Zuma, giving a soft smile as he thought Zuma rubbed his cheek against his arm. "At least if I always have you at my side." Rocky couldn't help laughing when he saw just how much of a kick Zuma was getting out of his new wolf fur. Even when he was deep in conflicted thoughts, Rocky could always get a smile from Zuma.

About a half hour later, Flare was playing video games in the living room, and was in the middle of what looked like a really challenging platformer set piece. He was in the zone, and nothing could distract him. Not even a bored Rubble whining about how he didn't know what to do. "I'm soooo boooored!" Rubble got a look at what what Flare was playing and became curious. "What's this?"

"Chronic Released. My favorite video game." Flare paused his game, and Rubble listened closely as Flare explained the plot. "It's from this platformer game series called Chronic The Wolf. In this game, Chronic gets hit with a device made by Professor Bacon Bits, and it turns him into a werewolf whenever the sun goes down. That very same beam led to the separation of all seven parts of the planet, which unleashes an evil entity called Night Terra onto the world. So Chronic teams up with this amnesiac fairy cat, and they team up to save the world while recovering her memories."

Rubble sat down next to Flare, being more interested than playing the game than the actual plot. "That does sound really interesting, but do you think I can play? This looks like a lot of fun."

"It is. Just wait until I finish this and then I'll make you a new file." Flare responded as he went back to playing, showing just how in the zone he was on his game. "I'm almost done with this optional level I'm on, so you can play for a bit after I finish that and save my game."

"Okay!" Rubble kept watching the game and got excited. He'd never seen a video game before. And it was clear that he had similar tastes to Flare in regards to what he liked from them.

Elsewhere in Adventure Bay, the hind paws of a White Shepherd were shown walking around, and when the dog's face was shown, it was none other than Paleclaw. They were looking around in the hopes of finding the Lookout, and they were relieved to see it where it always was. They hadn't been in Adventure Bay for five years, so they couldn't know for sure if the Paw Patrol were still around or not. After seeing that they were, they ran up the trail to find them. What they wanted from them was a mystery. At least until they arrived to explain their purpose.

Claw was shown to be guarding the Lookout, sensing something as he made his third way around the building. When he looked to the trail, he saw Paleclaw running over in the hopes of talking to the pups. Since Claw hadn't seen Paleclaw before, he put on his angry face and started barking. And now that he was a teenager, these barks were deep. This startled Paleclaw. They weren't expecting a Doberman to start barking at them upon arrival.

After Claw started growling, Paleclaw felt it would be appropriate to speak up. "Let me guess. You're in the Paw Patrol?"

"That's right!" Claw confirmed, taking a step closer to stop Paleclaw from getting too close as Flare and Rubble ran outside. "And you're mistaken if you think I'm gonna let you hurt my friends!"

Flare walked up to Paleclaw, knowing he was in full protection mode right now. "Take it easy Claw. What's going on?"

"That White Shepherd was coming over to the Lookout!" Claw informed Flare, pointing to Paleclaw as they took out their knife and started whittling it a bit. "I know he doesn't live in Adventure Bay!"

"They, came from about three days of walking... that way," Paleclaw informed the canines, correcting Claw on the correct pronouns to use as they also pointed to the left. "to see an old friend." Paleclaw put their arm down as they mentioned the pup they came to see. "Does Zuma Thorne still live here?"

Flare and Claw were surprised to hear that Paleclaw knew Zuma. Rubble could tell they were surprised and decided to ask further. "Did Zuma ever mention this guy?"

"Not to us Rubble." Flare admitted, and then he looked to Claw when he felt Paleclaw had good intentions. "I think we should let them in Claw. They haven't done anything yet, and they don't give off a bad vibe."

"Well..." Claw's trust issues from Charm were conflicting him there, but he saw that Paleclaw was waiting patiently where they stood. He figured that if anyone knew the right call to make here, it was Flare. "Alright, I'll trust him. For you Flare." Flare smiled in response, glad Claw was willing to give Paleclaw a shot.

In the living room, Paleclaw was getting a good look at Flare from a few inches away, which concerned him as he pointed out how uncomfortable this was making him. "You're kinda weirding me out right now dude."

Paleclaw backed up upon Flare's request, but not before they started talking about what Flare had inside of him. "There's a part of you that's been more active than ever lately." Flare was confused by that with Paleclaw then telling him the rest of the evaluation. "A part of you that questions whether or not what everyone sees, is the real you."

"Ooookaaaay." Flare didn't feel comfortable talking about this with someone he didn't know, so he decided to change the subject. "So, why exactly do you go by they and them pronouns?"

Paleclaw, respecting Flare's decision to avoid talking about this, happily answered his question. "I'm Non-Binary. That's where you don't identify as either a boy, or a girl."

Rubble was sitting right next to Flare and decided to ask a question himself. "So basically, you're someone who threw away their identity for a new one?"

"Something like that." Paleclaw answered with a chuckle, feeling they could help Rubble understand it a little better. "It's primarily a gender alignment for those who don't feel comfortable with being called a male or a female."

The three canines then heard Claw talking about Paleclaw to those who were walking down the hallway with him. "And Flare said we could trust... them, so that should be a good sign."

Rocky and Zuma were walking with Paleclaw as Rocky added the details Claw gave to them. "White Shepherd, goes by they and them pronouns, has history with Zuma..."

Just as Rocky cracked it, Zuma saw Paleclaw with Flare and Rubble. He became ecstatic once he saw his old friend at the Lookout again. "Paleclaw!?"

"In the flesh Zuma." Paleclaw confirmed, and Zuma ran over to them with Rocky and Claw after he grabbed their paws.

Zuma couldn't help hugging Paleclaw, who wrapped his arms around him while the both of them were smiling. "It's been ages dude!" He then pulled Paleclaw away as he pointed out who they were talking to. "I see you've alweady met Flawe and Wubble!"

"That, I have. They're really cool." Paleclaw confirmed, glad that Zuma was happy to see them. "So did you finally tie the knot with Rocky?"

"Dawn stwiaght I did!" Zuma happily hugged Rocky's arm, leaving Rocky to smile as Zuma cuddled him. "And now he's even fluffiew than ever!" Paleclaw instantly realized that Rocky had the fur pelt of a wolf. Rocky chuckled nervously, just as Zuma realized he had to introduce his two longtime friends. "Oh, wight! Paleclaw, this is Claw, my fwiend fwom the Coastal Cuwwent Owphanage. And Claw, this is Paleclaw, the only good pawt about Bloodfweak's gang."

Paleclaw held their paw out with Claw accepting it for a paw shake. He was glad that Paleclaw was serious about being a friend to Zuma. "Sorry I was so hostile earlier. I've been wary of strangers on sight after what happened with me and Charm."

"Believe me. I know how hard it is to trust someone." Paleclaw assured Claw, and then they brought up their own thoughts on Charm. "And I have history with that sicko myself. I've been tracking them down for years after they killed someone close to me."

Claw was glad to see Paleclaw being so understanding with Flare then hugging the two of them, to the surprise of Paleclaw. "This is so awesome! Zuma's been so excited for the day the two of you met! And you're already bonding; this is going so well!"

"Easy there Flawe." Zuma informed Flare, who let go of the Doberman and White Shepherd as Zuma apologized to the latter. "Sowwy about that. Flawe is super easy to get excited."

"Don't worry about it." Paleclaw told Zuma, laughing a bit as he then looked to Flare with a smile. "He's awesome."

Flare gave a peace sign to Paleclaw before Rocky spoke up, being curious about Paleclaw's reason for arriving. "Not to be rude Paleclaw, but you wouldn't have come here after five years just to say hi." Paleclaw had to give Rocky credit. He was still as smart as he was last time. "What brings you back to Adventure Bay?"

Paleclaw wasn't so sure how to start this, since they knew what it'd cost. They decided it was best to start with letting the others know that everyone should hear about this. "I think this is something I should fill everyone in on before I speak up."

In the Paw Patrol elevator, Paleclaw was getting a good look at the new friends of the Paw Patrol they hadn't met yet: Marshall, Snow, and Everest. Paleclaw had to admit; they were impressed by how much the Paw Patrol had grown since their last visit. "So the Paw Patrol has nine members now?"

"It sure does!" Marshall exclaimed, holding Everest's paw as he looked at her with doting eyes. "And we do everything we can to keep it that way." Everest giggled lovingly with Snow looking at Flare with the same eyes Marshall did for Everest. The two of them blushed softly after Flare noticed, showing this to be a new thing for them.

Ryder was at the top of the elevator playing chess with Richie, just as the elevator dinged an caught their attention. When they stopped their game and looked to everyone, Paleclaw was the first to speak up. "I'll make this as quick as I can Ryder."

"Take as much time as you need." Ryder told Paleclaw, knowing that they should have the right to explain the situation thoroughly.

Paleclaw went in front of everyone in the room and got ready to address what they needed to tell them. This was gonna be a big one, so they decided to get to the point. "I need Zuma's help. And it requires him leaving Adventure Bay for a while." Everyone was shocked to hear that, but they let Paleclaw continue to explain why. "I came here from a wolf inhabited village I live in that resides somewhere within the jungle. We've been attacked by these savage creatures for almost two and a half years now, and we need help to stop them."

Claw was the first to speak up, finding this request to be rather questionable. "And why do you need Zuma's help specifically? All of us can kick butt."

"Well..." Paleclaw began, hoping the others would understand where they were coming from. "I was hoping Zuma could keep his word."

Zuma remembered what Paleclaw was talking about then and there, explaining to the others when they looked at him in confusion. "A few times after I fiwst came to Adventuwe Bay, Paleclaw and I met up. The last time we met, I pwomised to help them if he came to me." Zuma looked at Paleclaw, not wanting to make them feel like he was letting them down. "Although... I kinda fowgot about it until now."

Richie spoke up next, feeling that he had a suggestion that could help Zuma and Paleclaw out. "Maybe this is something you'd be best to help with Zuma." He then looked at Paleclaw to see what they were talking about. "Paleclaw. What creatures exactly are you dealing with in the wolf village?"

"Well, since you ask, we're dealing with demons." This left the others in shock, much to Paleclaw's concern. "Did you encounter these creatures before?"

"Not unless you count Richie." Flare spoke up, letting Paleclaw see the bigger picture from the Paw Patrol's perspective. "He has demon blood in him from his father."

Rocky then chimed in, knowing this couldn't be as simple as dealing with hybrids. "And even then, he's only HALF demon. I doubt you guys are dealing with half humans here."

Paleclaw nodded their head no in response, and Chase spoke up protectively of Zuma. "Then Zuma's not going alone! I'm sorry Paleclaw. I know you just want to help your village. But if Zuma's dealing with a creature this dangerous, then you're gonna have to count on some of us going with him too."

"Slow down Chase. I never said Zuma had to come alone." Paleclaw reminded Chase, clarifying what they meant from an earlier statement. "I just said I hoped Zuma could keep his word from five years ago. If you guys wanna come with him, I won't stop you."

Everest then assured Zuma that they would have his back if he needed them. "You aren't alone in this Zuma."

"That's right." Snow chimed in, knowing the Paw Patrol always had Zuma's back. "Those demons won't be coming for you on our watch."

"And even if we don't come with you, just yelp for help, and we'll be there!" Skye assured Zuma, letting Zuma know that his friends would have his back no matter where he was in the world.

Rocky then held Zuma's paw, and his eyes told him that he would follow him to the ends of the earth. Zuma was already planning on helping Paleclaw anyway. But the sight of everyone having his back, especially Rocky, made it all the more clear to him. Flare hugging Zuma, along with Chase and Marshall putting their paws on his shoulders, further empathized this. Claw even gave Zuma a playful punch on the arm to show he had his back as well. With that in mind, Zuma felt confident in giving Paleclaw his answer. "You want me to keep my word Paleclaw? You got it!"

Ryder took out his Pup-Pad, showing that he was already on the case for planning the trip. "In that case, let's get prepared for our latest road trip!" Paleclaw smiled with immense gratitude for Zuma and the others. They definitely made the right decision in going to Zuma for help.

Rubble then started wondering if he was gonna have to go with them. "Hang on. Does this mean I'm going with you?"

"Well... yes." Rocky admitted, wanting to assure Rubble that it wouldn't be all bad. "But we'll make sure your time with us is worthwhile. And you may like getting to know some of the wolves there."

Rubble wasn't completely up for the task, but he figured it would at least be worth a try. "I guess. At least if any of them know how to cook like Flare does." Flare giggled a bit in response to that. He wasn't sure if any chef really cooked the same way as another.

As everyone was packing for the trip later that evening, Flare was talking to Marshall about something else he was thinking about. "I've also been having these weird... feelings around Snow lately. Like, when I'm around her, that alone makes me feel like I'm having the time of my life. And whenever I'm NOT around her, I wish she was there more than anything." Marshall laughed a bit, knowing that feeling perfectly. Flare caught onto why that was as well. "Is that like what you and Everest felt before you started dating?"

"Something like that, yeah." Marshall admitted, knowing that he would be good at helping Flare with this. "Just don't do anything different than what you would normally do. If she's happy with your company and likes you for who you are, then there's no reason to change anything."

Flare saw Marshall's point there, and it really helped him with his confidence regarding his feelings for Snow. "That makes so much sense! Maybe this trip can help us start dating!" Flare then realized something about the situation that could seem off to some. "That won't be weird since you and Everest are still dating, will it?" Marshall nodded his head no with a cheerful grin. This led to Flare doing the same, glad this wouldn't lead to anything off-putting. "Okay, just checking."

Snow and Everest were in the Paw Patroller with Everest noticing Snow thinking long and hard about something as she was putting her bag into her assigned room. "You're thinking about the slap again, aren't you."

Snow nodded her head yes, admitting to Everest that it surprised her even back then. "I know he forgave me, but I never thought it'd be so fast." Snow looked at her paw as she tried to shake off the idea of being like her father. "He's never had anyone close to him assault him before that day."

"I was surprised too Snow." Everest admitted, but then assured Snow that it was genuine. "But Flare wouldn't say anything he doesn't mean."

"I know. That's the problem." Snow confessed, surprising her older sister with what she said next. "I know my arm got broken during the Jake's Mountain mission... but I still feel like he should've been mad at me still. At least for a little bit." She then opened up to Everest about her conflicted thoughts on her promise to Flare. "And even two years later, I'm worried I'll get emotional and hurt him again. That's why I haven't asked him out yet. That, and I still don't completely get this romance stuff." Snow looked at Everest as she asked about that. "Is that... weird?"

"Of course not. But I know you won't become like dad. The fact that you regret slapping Flare proves that." Snow looked at Flare, who was talking to Marshall about his excitement over having a room for when the team was on the road. "If you wanna talk about it, then we can. And maybe I can even give you some relationship advice for Flare." Snow appreciated that, being hopeful that Everest's advice would help her.

Snow then saw Paleclaw looking into Rocky's eyes, which weirded Rocky and Zuma out before Snow walked up to them. Everest followed suit as Snow started the conversation. "Paleclaw, what are you doing?"

"Trying to figure out what Rocky's inner dilemma is all about." Snow and Everest looked to each other in confusion, and Zuma mouthed to them 'Yeah; I'm confused too' silently. Paleclaw finished their analysis there and told Rocky what they learned. "You have an obvious fear of being like your father. And knowing who your brother is, I don't blame you."

Rocky was impressed. Paleclaw had some sound observation skills. "I'm guessing you also have a lie detector in your brain now." Paleclaw didn't quite get the joke with Rocky trying to explain it to them. "You know; since your observation skills are so good, it would make you-"

"Ah, yeah, I got it now." Paleclaw responded, and then they smiled as they assured Rocky of something they felt he'd like. "I think you'll be glad to know that being half wolf will benefit you greatly in the wolf clan village. As friendly as they are to dogs, being friends with a fellow wolf can give your friends heavy bonus points."

"And yet, you didn't think to invite Wocky to come too." Zuma asked with a smirk, and Paleclaw chuckled nervously while scratching the back of their head, showing that they didn't really think of that.

Chase and Skye were talking about Rocky's new look as Skye brought up Chase checking him out earlier. "I know your flirting isn't meant as cheating Chase, but I think you should avoid looking at Rocky that way any further." Chase was listening closely as Skye reminded him of how Zuma reacted. "You saw how Zuma got when you did this morning."

"Yeah, I did." Chase replied, not wanting to upset Zuma any further than that. "And the last thing I wanna do is cause tension between us." Skye nuzzled Chase lovingly, glad he was taking her advice seriously. Chase kissed her cheek in response to show his mutual affection.

Richie was walking up to Claw, who was getting frustrated as he struggled to get his unstuck from his suitcase. "Come on you stupid thing! Open!"

Richie laughed a bit, kneeling down to Claw so he could help him get free. "Guess even short haired dogs can get stuck in obsurd ways."

Ryder arrived in the Paw Patroller to let everyone know what was going on with Adventure Bay. "I finished my call with Mayor Goodway, and she knows to try extra hard protecting Adventure Bay while we're gone. Hopefully we won't be gone for too long now."

Paleclaw went over Ryder to let him know how long they thought the Paw Patrol would be in the wolf village for. "If everything goes smoothly Ryder, it shouldn't take too long. We just need you to help us find a way to stop the demon attacks."

"In that case, with everything out of the way,"Ryder gave Paleclaw a thumbs up before raising his fist to pump the Paw Patrol up. "Paw Patrol, is on a roll!" The pups all started cheering, being pumped up for their mission to help the wolf clan. Hopefully they were as friendly as Paleclaw said they were.

The next morning...

The Paw Patrol were arriving at the wolf clan village with Ryder pulling up in the safest spot right outside the gate. Marshall happily opened the door to his, Flare's, and Chase's bedroom, failing to notice that his blanket was still on him. "We're here!" He ended up tripping on his way out and rolled into his blanket, which caught the attention of everyone else in the Paw Patroller. They all got a good look with Marshall laughing as he joked about his predicament. "Welp, at least we know I'm still not a blanket slate."

Everyone except for Paleclaw and Rubble then called Marshall out on his pun, "Marshall!" before laughing it off as Everest kissed Marshall's forehead before helping him out of the blanket.

Flare then went over to Chase with a warning in mind regarding what happened last night. "As soon as we can, we're having Ryder install walls in the Paw Patroller rooms." Chase nodded in response, feeling that would be fair considering the drawbacks to sleeping in the same room with him.

Ryder then came out of the driver's seat area to let the others know what the plan was. "Alright everyone. We don't have to do anything special just yet. Let's just head into the Wolf Clan's village, meet their people, and offer to help them with their problem." The Paw Patrol were ready to do as instructed, leading to Ryder opening the back door as they all nodded. "Let's move out!" The Paw Patrol, along with Rubble and Paleclaw, then left the Paw Patroller to help the wolf clan with their problem.

Since they were really close to the entrance, they arrived at the village gate in only a few seconds. Paleclaw looked up at the gatekeeper and signaled him to let them through. "Open up Simon!" The wolf did as instructed and opened the door for everyone, allowing them all to walk through. When they got a look at the village, the Paw Patrol were astonished by what they saw. The village was very much like that of huts from a different town than they were used to. "Welcome to Wolfland! The best place for a wolf to live! Or, at least that's how they advertise it."

Rocky was impressed by the style of this place, but when he realized this was all totally new to him, he got worried and asked Paleclaw about it. "So... we'll be sleeping in some of these huts? As in, not the same kind of houses we would back home?"

"That's right." Paleclaw asked, and when they noticed Rocky's look of worry, it concerned them. They wanted Zuma and his friends to feel as comfortable in Wolfland as possible. "That's okay, right?"

Zuma nudged Rocky and smiled to him, knowing for sure that Paleclaw would understand. And as always, Zuma's smile helped Rocky a lot. It at least made it easier for him to tell Paleclaw about his condition. "It should be. It's just that I was anticipating houses kind of like the ones we have back home. And since I have Autism, dealing with changes that I wasn't expecting can be pretty difficult for me."

Paleclaw was thankfully very understanding about that. They knew how hard change was for even those without Rocky's condition. "I totally get it. We have a couple wolves who are Autistic." Paleclaw walked onward as they led the group to their leader. "Heck; I sometimes even help this mother who lives here with her kid, and he has ADHD. I think he's close to your age Rubble." Rubble smiled when Paleclaw told him that. Finally; someone new that he could relate to age wise.

Flare then spoke up, hoping they wouldn't mind him butting in on the conversation. "So, does that mean there's someone here who can help me with my own thing?"

"Only if you're willing to talk about it." Paleclaw informed Flare with a smirk, making him laugh a bit, having to admit that he needed to work on that. The Paw Patrol were led to the biggest hut in the village with Paleclaw bringing them to the first stop of the tour. "First things first, introducing you to our leader. Here he is!" Paleclaw opened the door with the leader being revealed to everyone. Although he wasn't shown on screen, the Paw Patrol, Flare and Rocky especially, were left in shock by what they saw. It was obvious that this wolf was someone they were all familiar with.

To be continued.

Rock music played as Flare started speaking in regards to what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "So this is the wolf village Paleclaw lives in. Well it's definitely a place full of friendly wolves. And this ceremony sounds really exciting! The wolves here are really friendly too. That'll be a great help for Rocky. Wait! Demons are attacking the village now!? I thought this place was well protected! Oh no; Rocky!"

Rocky finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with Flare on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, Same Friends, New Obstacles Part three! (Rocky was shown to be watching a wound heal rather than seemingly causing an infection, amazing everyone who saw it) I've never recovered from injuries like THIS before. What's going on?"
