Disclaimer: I'm sure the season premiere raised some questions about what was going on in Wolfland, especially with Rocky surviving that demon strike so easily. I'll try to answer every question you guys might have, but as a friendly warning, don't be surprised if I fail to answer at least one. Gravity Falls can only be perfected once after all.

Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.

Demon Defense arc Episode four: The Start to Protecting Wolfland

At the Wolfland hospital, a couple hours after the ceremony Flare and the others were in Paleclaw's room, worried about their condition. Zuma was especially worried about them, since he had a history with Paleclaw as a good friend. Rocky did his best to comfort him, and Flare and Marshall were getting a good look at Paleclaw's wound. As they were doing this, Richie spoke up about how Rocky survived that attack while leaning on the wall. "I figured you might've had some questions about how you survived that car impact Rocky."

Rocky did ask that to himself on occasion. As always, Richie could read him like a book. "At least once a month. Did you have something to do with it?"

"I did." Richie answered, and then a flashback began to when he and Ryder were talking to the doctor.

"Ryder and I managed to convince the doctors to let us try something, because we both hated the idea of you dying at such a young age." Ryder and Richie nodded to each other once the doctor agreed to their plan. "But we felt you would only cooperate with the medical professionals for this stuff, so we had to wait until you were asleep."

The flashback changed to Richie going into Rocky's room at night, carefully walking over to him as Rocky spoke up in the present. "So you gave me some of your demon blood that night!"

"That's right." Richie confirmed, and we then saw him cutting his finger and putting a drop of dark red blood into a small capsule. Demon blood is black, so that combined with his red human blood, led to that color of his blood. "I'll be blunt. We totally spit balled that." Richie put the blood into the IV unit, allowing it to course into Rocky's veins. However, some of the blood in the unit turned a darker shade of red as a result; not all of it, but enough for Richie to notice and panic. "Looking back, I think I should've taken the risk of using a syringe."

Richie saw the last of the dark red blood going into Rocky, leaving him scared of what was going to happen. "The blood was able to enter your body before a whole pint could be tainted, but it was more than I anticipated. I started to worry it would take over." The flashback then changed to Rocky licking Richie as thanks for helping him after they arrived at his house. "Thankfully, you were still a good hearted puppy after you were healed. I think my human blood helped to balance it out."

The flashback ended with Richie explaining why he did what he did. "As you already know by now, demons can heal gunshot wounds and stab wounds no problem. Ryder and I thought that if you had some demon blood inside of you, then you'd be able to survive your own wounds." Richie then showed how bad he felt for hiding this from Rocky for almost seven years. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. You deserved to know how you survived. At least... if you wanted to."

Rocky wasn't upset however, and instead, smiled. He understood that Ryder and Richie were just trying to protect him. "You saved my life." Rocky hugged Richie, showing just how grateful he was for saving his life. "Next time, just remember to tell me seven years earlier."

Richie laughed a bit, patting Rocky's back after noticing how much tighter his hugs were now that his wolf genes were kicking in. "You got it Wolfy."

Paleclaw was listening to the story as Zuma came over to them, deciding to give Rocky and Richie their moment. When Zuma came over, Marshall let him know how bad their condition was. "I wish we knew what to do Zuma. Until the doctor gets back, we might not even know what'll happen to Paleclaw."

Flare did what he could to keep Zuma's spirits up after noticing he was down. He decided to give him some encouraging words that he thought would help. "We still have a lot to learn about demons Zuma. Maybe Richie knows something that can help us. And even if he doesn't, the wolves here have to know something we can do." Zuma looked to Flare, being well aware of how optimistic and serious he was about this. "The only thing I know for real is that I won't give up on Paleclaw. We'll find a cure for them; just watch!"

Zuma started to smile in response to Flare's words of motivation, but before he could thank him, Paleclaw started laughing softly. This alerted the three pups next to them, and after a few seconds, they started to talk. "That's..." Paleclaw looked to Flare, having some choice words in mind about what he said. "That's such a cop out answer Flare."

"What do you mean?" Flare asked with clear worry and confusion, not quite getting what Paleclaw was saying there.

"You're saying this without a clue of what demon attacks do." Paleclaw reminded Flare, sitting up as they started to get more aggressive. "You're just speaking blind hope! Try learning more to tell Zuma the truth!"

Flare was starting to get agitated with everyone else looking at him and the others, refusing to let Paleclaw talk down to him. "I AM telling him the truth! At least from what I know so far!"

"Yeah right! You can't even find answers about yourself!" Paleclaw shouted in regards to Flare's dilemma. Even though this hurt Flare, he let Paleclaw know he was there. "What could you possibly know about this right now!?"

Zuma never saw this side of Paleclaw before, hoping he could calm them down before things got too intense. "Paleclaw, are... are you okay?"

Paleclaw grabbed their chest in an attempt to snap out of it, feeling a side effect to the demon blood starting to change them. "No. This is... the demon blood is changing me!" The others were shocked to hear this as Paleclaw explained further what they were saying. "When a creature without demon blood is scratched or bitten by a demon, they become infected with their blood and start to turn into a demon themselves three hours later. That's what some of the demons who've been attacking us lately had to go under."

Ryder had another theory about this himself, knowing he had to ask before Paleclaw turned, despite worrying about them deeply. "Along with this pain... is this side of you showing also a side effect?"

"Y-yes. The demon blood amplifies a trait that shows a side of you that others may or may not know about." Marshall went over to Flare and Zuma as Paleclaw explained this, leaving the White Shepherd to keep explaining. "It may be something their allies already know about, or something that's completely sudden to all of them. More often than not, it'll be a negative part of their personalities." Paleclaw started to feel their chest burn again with Zuma stepping forward as he and the others showed worry. "Some say it's their true colors... I say that's up for debate."

Paleclaw suddenly started to change to the same shade of the demons, leaving Zuma horrified by what he was seeing from them. "Paleclaw! If you can fight this demon blood stuff, then do it! Please!"

Paleclaw laughed a little more, looking to Zuma as his eyes started to glow to the color of a pure demon. "Not how it works Zuma." Zuma then put his other paw on his bed, giving Zuma another thing he wanted from him. "For as long as you can, or have to... help Bonita watch over Tracker in my place! That'll be a way you can keep your promise to me!"

Zuma nodded his head yes in response, and then Flare assured Paleclaw that he and the others wouldn't give up on them. "We'll find a way to reverse this Paleclaw! You can count on it!"

Paleclaw suddenly reached his limit, stating one final phrase to Flare before he turned completely. "Good luck with that." Just then, Paleclaw turned into a demon, roaring ferociously and scaring everyone. Rocky quickly noticed Paleclaw's name going across their chest.

As demon Paleclaw set their sights on Zuma, Marshall pushed him out of the way, along with Flare, and made the demon grab him instead. The demon roared at Marshall, who was shivering in immense fear over being this close to the demon. He reached for his gun, only for another member of the Paw Patrol to shoot the demon themself.

The pup who fired was Chase, who, thanks to his quick thinking, was able to shoot just before the demon attacked Marshall. He kept firing until the demon let go and ran off, leaving the demon to run off as Flare then checked Marshall for wounds. "Marshall! Are you alright!?"

Marshall sat up with Chase and Everest rushing over to him as fast as they could with the others showing clear concern for him. Marshall laughed a bit, assuring Flare that he was unharmed for now. "As alright as I'll ever be buddy." Flare hugged Marshall with immense relief, glad to still have his big brother with him. Zuma couldn't believe what he saw however. A good friend of his just turned into a senseless monster. The fear he felt regarding Paleclaw at that moment was unreal.

Flare and the others were all awake for the next day with Flare shown to be cooking breakfast for everyone, as usual. Except this time, he was doing it at Wolfland's diner. As he was doing this, some of the other pups were shown to still be contemplating what happened last night. Especially Zuma, who couldn't believe what he just witnessed from last night. His friend changed right before him, and he couldn't do anything about it. He started to worry about whether or not he could help Rocky with his dilemma of being like his father.

Flare then left the kitchen with a tray of the food he made for everyone as he thanked the chefs in there. "Thanks again for letting me use your kitchen!" Flare saw how down some of his friends looked when he was taking the food over to them. Zuma looked uncertain, Rocky looked scared, and the others looked worried about what was going to happen. He took the food over to them and started to talk about what happened last night. "You guys upset about what happened last night too?"

"Upset doesn't even begin to covew it Flawe dude." Zuma informed Flare, accepting his breakfast like the others in the hopes that it'd brighten up his day.

Claw opened up about how he felt regarding the situation, letting Zuma know he felt his pain. "That must have been horrifying for you Zuma. Paleclaw changing like that, turning into something they weren't..." Claw's words started to concern Zuma even more as he spoke about them. "And we don't even know if-"

Everest put a paw on Claw's shoulder, gently letting him know that now wasn't a good time to be introspective. "I don't think that's helping Claw."

"Right. Sorry." Claw responded, looking at Zuma and seeing that Everest was right. He decided to just eat his breakfast, since he still wasn't the most consistent at this whole comforting thing.

Marshall decided to shed some optimism himself, noticing how deep in thought Chase was about whether or not he'd be able to help. "It's not like we're just sitting around and waiting Chase. You came to me for that investigation yourself."

Chase smiled when Marshall mentioned that, and then showed that he still planned to do it. "And it's still gonna happen. I just want it to lead to something is all."

"And the best that can happen is if we start looking as soon as we can." Flare assured Chase, being as ready as he was for what was going to come up soon. It was clear that rather than Chase looking too afraid to do anything, he was trying to figure out how to make his efforts worth it.

Snow couldn't help smiling as she looked at Flare with a light laugh over his participation in the investigation. "So you're gonna be snooping for team reasons now, huh? You'd better know what you're doing."

"That's what Chase's spy skills are for!" Flare exclaimed happily, leaving Snow to smile at his optimism. Even with her concern over keeping her promise to him, she could always count on his joy to give her a smile.

A few minutes later, the tension at the table could still be felt with Zuma trying to comfort Rocky over his dilemma. Rocky then looked at Rubble, who was sitting next to him eating his breakfast. Rubble was still shocked from last night, but when he looked at Rocky, he hid it and annoyingly asked him what he was looking at him for. "What?"

Rocky stopped looking and went back to eating his food. He didn't want his desire to protect Rubble to push him away. Skye then spoke up in an attempt to explain to Rubble. "I think he's just worried about how you took last night's attack Rubble."

"Well I already told him I'm good on a guardian, if that's what he's thinking about." Rubble assured Skye; not to be rude, but to show that he felt he could defend himself.

Flare got sick of the tension surrounding the table and slammed his paws down as he stood up, getting everyone's attention as he tried to boost their spirits. "Is this really the attitude we wanna show the citizens of Wolfland? Fear and anxiety from the ones who chose to protect them?" The others were surprised by what Flare was doing, and the Dalmatian then told them what he meant. "We have every right to be scared. We're barely prepared for what we learned about last night. But we have to show the citizens of Wolfland that we won't let that stop us."

Chase was fully on board with what Flare was saying, and sensed a leader growing inside of him. After a nod of support from Ryder, he stood up and spoke in response. "Flare's right. We've shown plenty of times back in Adventure Bay that fear doesn't stop us. There's no reason it shouldn't be the same here." The words from Flare and Chase were starting to work. Marshall even stood up himself and put a supportive paw on Chase's shoulder. "Whether it's Adventure Bay, or Wolfland, or wherever, our bravery always comes with us."

Flare smiled to Chase, who smiled back as Flare kept saying what he was trying to tell everyone. "We all have a lot on our minds right now. Rocky, you wanting to help Charm and be better than Slash..." Rocky held his arm tightly with Zuma comforting him as he did. "Zuma, when you saw Paleclaw turn last night..." Zuma nodded his head yes in response as Snow then smiled with Flare stating one final fact. "And I know last night opened all of our eyes to what we were really facing here."

Flare continued to give his pep talk, knowing that everyone needed a motivation boost to keep their spirits up. "I've been on this team long enough to know that we're all used to helping each other with our struggles. And I'm not saying we should stop helping each other out." Rocky and Zuma looked at each other lovingly and held paws, having already known that they could continue to help each other with their internal struggles. "But the wolves already have a lot on their plates with these demon attacks."

Flare then reminded the others of one of the many things the Paw Patrol were always capable of doing. "Instead of showing Wolfland that we're scared, let's show them that we're ready to help, in spite of being scared." Flare then noticed that some of the Wolfland residents were watching them. He giggled a bit over this, and got an idea on how to show it once he saw something that might help. "And I think I know how to do that." Flare jumped onto the table and pointed over to some wolves in marching band attire. "Hit it Marching Band wolves!"

"Okay!" The leader wolf responded with a shrug, and then he and his friends started playing motivational marching band music, showing that they were willing to just roll with helping Flare.

Once Flare had everyone's attention, he walked over to one end of the table and turned around as he started singing Show The Wolves Our Courage. "We didn't expect any of this. That much is true. But If I'm knocked down, I'll get back up. I know you will too." Chase and Marshall saw where Flare was going with this and started gently tapping the table to the beat of his song. "So don't let last night tear you down. We must help Wolfland see... that we're willing to help all of them be free."

Snow started joining in as well, and one by one, the pups all joined in as Flare continued singing to his friends while walking over to the other side. "It's not time to throw in the towel, I know you all agree. So let's show everyone in Wolfland what we want them to see." Flare jumped off the table and looked at his friends, who one by one, started to feel his optimism. "I don't see any reason, we should doubt our chances now. It's way too early to say that we failed and how."

Flare started walking around the cafeteria, pumping up the wolves just as much as he was pumping up his friends. Tracker also took notice to this as Flare continued to sing. "So let's work to show the wolves our courage! Show them that despite our fear, we'll make sure the win is near!" Tracker started clapping for Flare, catching Bonita's attention and making her smile as she watched him as well. "Together, we can help them feel our courage! I just know together, we can help them see... the courage that's in you and me!"

Rocky was still concerned about whether or not he could fulfill his own missions, but he had to admit; Flare's song was working well on the others. Flare continued singing to continue motivating everyone in the room. "The demons were scary, I'll admit. But I said I would help out. And I plan to commit to that. I'm not gonna sit and pout." Flare walked back over to his table, continuing to show that he was ready for everything. "Together, we can stop the demons. I just know it's true. So please guys, stand with me and show, you believe it too."

Rocky still looked conflicted due to his dilemma about Charm and being like his father, so Flare came next to him and smiled to him. Zuma gave him some room as he continued to sing. "We didn't expect any of this. That much is true." Flare put a paw on Rocky's shoulder to let him know he had his back. "But If I'm knocked down, I'll get back up. I know you will too." The lyrics Flare sang next helped Rocky quite a bit. "It may seem too hard to pull off now, but I'll help you find the truth." Flare then got back up as he kept singing. "I just know we all have the courage!"

Flare walked to the middle of the front of the cafeteria, where everyone was watching him with glee. "So let's work to show the wolves our courage! Show them that despite our fear, we'll make sure the win is near!" Rocky started to feel more optimistic thanks to Flare's song, and the Dalmatian then turned around to face everyone. "Together, we can help them feel our courage! I just know together, we can help them see... the courage that's in you and me!"

Flare saw that he had everyone's attention, which allowed him to finish the song. "The courage that's in you and me!" Slash was sitting alone in the cafeteria, eyeing Rocky as he awaited to have him ask his questions. "The courage that's in you and me-e-e!" Flare looked over at everyone one last time before singing the last part of the song. His smile showed just how genuine he was about this whole situation. "The courage that's in you and me."

The music stopped as soon as Flare finished, and everyone except for Slash started cheering for the Dalmatian. As Flare went back over to his friends, Chase gave him a thumbs up, showing that he was proud of him. It was clear to Chase that Flare was starting to become a leader himself. Flare gave a thumbs up back, knowing that part of what he learned was thanks to Chase. It was clear that his song had worked in more ways than one too. Now everyone in Wolfland could see clear as day that the Paw Patrol were as ready as they'd ever be to help them.

After breakfast, Rocky and Zuma were talking about what happened to Paleclaw last night on the way to the town wall. "It was just so... bizawwe. Like I saw a good fwiend of mine tuwn into a monstew against their will." Rocky was listening closely to Zuma while also writing out the blueprints for a new invention. "And now I'm stwessing over whether or not I can watch Twacker for him."

"I can help you watch over him." Rocky offered, bringing up a benefit to babysitting Tracker with Zuma. "It'd be good for Rubble too anyway. He could use a friend his age after being on his own for so long."

"That's twue. And, thanks Wocky." Zuma saw what Rocky was looking at and got a good idea on what it was about. As he asked about it, the blueprints showed some kind of sound horns to warn Wolfland of oncoming danger. "Is that for the next time we deal with a demon attack?"

Rocky nodded his head yes, and then he pointed out a benefit to being the one to come up with this. "Since I'm the one who came up with this warning system, I'll know it's coming. So I won't be at risk of going into sensory overload like I did at last night's ceremony."

Zuma held Rocky's arm tightly, being more than happy that he was being so proactive with the situation. "If you still need to come to me after it goes off, you know I'll be there." Rocky smiled and kissed Zuma's forehead lovingly, glad that he had such a supportive boyfriend on his side.

Flare, Marshall, and Chase were right outside Slash's office with Chase showing them the warrant he got the night before. "The leader of the Wolfland Defense Squad gave this to me last night soon after Paleclaw turned. As long as Slash is busy, we have every right to search in here." Chase then barked for a lockpick from his spy gear, "Lockpick." and it came out of his pup pack and into his paw.

Chase started picking the lock of the door to avoid getting caught with Flare wondering what they would find in there. "If Slash IS involved with what happened to Charm, then just imagine what we'll find in there." Flare then got excited about finding something that could be cool to use in there. "Maybe we can find a secret room with all sorts of cool stuff to fend of the demons too!"

Marshall chuckled a bit, figuring that would be very cool. "That would be something Flare. Hopefully we DO find something regarding that."

Chase got the door open and went in with Flare and Marshall. He closed the door as the other two entered and locked it. He then turned around to guide Flare and Marshall on where to go. "Marshall, you check his drawers to see if anything important is in there. Flare, you check the book shelves. I'll check his desk."

"We're on it!" Flare and Marshall announced in sync, and then the three pups went to their positions as Chase started his inspection at Slash's desk.

Chase saw on the front of the desk alone that there was a specific kind of key for each lock. The one on the bottom left looked the easiest to lock pick, so Chase decided to go for that one first. He bent over and started picking it, raising his butt into the air as he did to get a full view of the lock. As he did this, his butt was shown as he unintentionally cracked...

BRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAT

...a ripe five second fart that made the German Shepherd's butt vibrate, catching the three pups' attention as the green cloud of burnt bacon and buttered toast lingered in the room. Chase assured the other two that he had it as he grinned proudly. "Don't worry guys. I've got this too." Chase barked for another device from his gear, "Odor clearer." and successfully cleared out the fart scent with a cool pine breeze coming from his pup pack. "I had Ryder add this to my spy gear after realizing how easy it'd be for me to fart when using it to sneak around."

Chase then barked to put the pine breeze device away as he pointed out some other odors he could clear with that. "I can also clear out rooms that reek of someone else's burps, the nasty odors from a bathroom or inside of a vehicle, and rotten foods in areas they aren't supposed to be in." Chase then gave a sly grin as he finished. "I think you can tell how often I'll be using it too." Flare, Marshall, and Chase laughed at Chase's jab at his gassiness before getting back to the investigation.

Meanwhile, at the front gate of Wolfland, the leader of the Wolfland Defense Squad was going over Rocky's blueprints. He was a somewhat muscular wolf at a normal adult height with an army suit on. His posture made it clear that he was ready to defend Wolfland no matter what. And he had quite a fondness for what Rocky had developed with his blueprints. "You really know what you're doing Rocky. This could warn everyone about the demons within seconds!"

"That's the idea." Rocky became excited, feeling that this meant his gadgets would be used for the defense of Wolfland. "Does that mean we're gonna use them?"

"You bet we are." The leader answered, and then he gave Rocky an offer that he felt he would be more than happy to accept. "Making the actual inventions would take more time if you were to look for scraps however, and we need these up and running as fast as possible." The general blew a whistle after signaling Rocky and Zuma to cover their ears. This got the attention of two other wolves who were standing guard. "Simon! Barry! Open up the tech room!"

The two wolves climbed down from the wall and ran over to a hut that was right next to it. After they unlocked it, the door they opened revealed a whole bunch of technology, tools, and scraps for Rocky to work with. Rocky and Zuma were surprised to say the least, and Rocky couldn't help smiling widely while raising his paws up to his chin. Zuma gave a sly grin as he noticed, counting down for what was about to happen next. "Thwee, two, one..."

Rocky gave a high pitched squee, astonishing the three wolves around him as he then hugged the leader unexpectedly. "THANK YOU MILO!"

Rocky then bolted into the room with Zuma looking to Milo as he happily informed him of something else to anticipate from Rocky. "Expect him to be in there until lunch." Zuma went into the room to keep Rocky company, knowing that keeping his interest in this would help. "Looks like you got your wish Wocky. Hopefully the Wolfland scwaps can help you make it even better than you did before."

"That's the plan Zuma." Rocky informed Zuma, focusing his sights entirely on his project as he did. "I just might have to postpone my meeting with dad." Zuma did start to worry about that himself. He was glad Rocky was more proactive in spite of it, but he still worried about whether or not he'd be able to help him with that. For now, he just had to wait and see.

Back in Slash's office, Marshall found a file that had a demon on it and set it down on the desk when announcing it. "Guys! I think this might help us out!" Marshall opened up the file and tried to start reading it, but found it hard for him to do so. Almost every word from his point of view looked as if it were flickering around, or jumbled. This was clearly too advanced for someone of Marshall's level to read. "Um..."

Chase and Flare knew what was going on, and Flare offered to read it himself. "Maybe Chase and I should read this. You can use your brain power for something else." Marshall felt that was best and nodded, allowing Flare to look at it with Chase going next to him so he could see as well. "This is about when Slash arrived here!"

Chase looked at the date, and by what felt like more than a coincidence, it was the night before the Paw Patrol arrived. "Guess we can see if he expected us to be the ones Paleclaw went to for help."

Flare continued to read himself, starting from the first sentence that talked about the demons. "The demon attacks in Wolfland have been quite interesting so far. None of them have gone without everything working out, and although there's more of one side than I'd hoped for, I can still say I'm proud of the progress I've been making. These past two and a half years have been stupendous progress in my goals." Flare, Marshall, and Chase had a feeling they knew what this was. "Well Slash was smart enough to be vague, but at least we know he's planning something."

"Well that was pretty obvious. Richie said he'd worked with demons before." Marshall started to wonder if they really had enough proof to say this was for a bad omen though. "Still, I'm no detective, but I think we're gonna need more than this one document to make any progress."

"Well we've still got plenty more to read." Flare pointed out, folding it up and handing it to Chase in the hopes that they could read the rest. "I'll ask around and see if anyone knows about anything suspicious that could be happening in Wolfland. At least one of these residents has to be willing to share what they know with us."

Chase got a text on his phone and looked at it, showing a text from Milo that informed him of Slash's return. This concerned him, as he didn't want him, Flare, or Marshall to get caught. "Slash is coming back! We have to run!"

After about ten seconds of Chase making sure all of their tracks were covered, Flare jumped over the desk and opened the window behind it. This allowed Chase to escape after making sure no tracks were left behind, and Marshall jumped out as he complimented Flare's quick thinking. "Smart move Flare!"

"Thanks!" Flare hopped out of the window and closed it before running off, leaving the three canines to hope they could find more useful info for the demon attacks soon.

Rubble was playing with Tracker in Bonita's front yard, pinning Tracker to the ground during play wrestling. The two were laughing as they did this with Tracker then tapping his paw on the ground. "Enviar! Enviar!"

Bonita saw Rocky and Zuma coming over to her hut and smiled upon greeting them. "Rocky! Zuma! Welcome to my home!"

"It's a pleasure Bonita." Rocky assured Bonita, and then he saw Rubble and Tracker playing and smiled at the sight of it. "Has Rubble been behaving with Tracker?"

"Yes. Other than one instance of playing too rough, he was perfect." Bonita informed the wolf, and then she called over to Rubble to let him know Rocky and Zuma there. "Rubble! Your friends are here!"

"Do we have to go now?" Rubble whined, not wanting to go home just yet. "I was just about to teach Tracker how to dig."

"We can see him again tomorrow, or whenever we have time." Rocky assured Rubble, knowing that there was some delicious food waiting for them back home. "Come on. We gotta get some grub."

Rubble got off of Tracker and sighed, walking over to Rocky and Zuma to head home with them. "Fine. See ya Tracker."

"Adios for now Rubble!" Tracker responded, and then he went inside with his mother, waving goodbye to the three canines with her.

Rocky and Zuma then headed off with Rocky holding Rubble's paw as they headed back, much to his surprise. He decided to strike a conversation with him after hearing Tracker say goodbye to the three in Spanish. "Tracker knows Spanish too, huh?"

"A lot of it for someone his age." Rubble confirmed, bringing up something he learned about Tracker while at home. "His parents met in Mexico during an expedition led by his dad." Rubble couldn't help feeling weird as Chase held his paw. He decided to ignore it for now, feeling he knew what he was doing.

Back at the motel hut, Chase was explaining to the others what he found with Flare and Marshall during lunch. "We didn't read the whole thing since Slash came back too soon, but we think he could have something to do with the demon attacks."

"Tch. Well that's pretty obvious. He practically ruled over them before my mom and I escaped to Adventure Bay." Richie reminded Chase, and then he made an offer to help them with the investigation. "I'll see if I can find some blood samples. If we can find out what's in a demon that cause others to turn from scratch marks, then there should also be a way to reverse it."

Ryder showed that he was ready to help as well, giving Richie some information that he felt would be of good use. "Paleclaw told us on the way over here that demons only attack at night. It's a lot more risky, but night watches outside of Wolfland might be our best chance of finding them."

Zuma saw that Rocky was starting to get overwhelmed with stress over all of this. The half wolf couldn't even bring himself to inform Ryder about what Paleclaw told him. He started to rub his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. "Just focus on your taco for now Wocky. You need to eat." Rocky did as advised with Zuma then making a suggestion to Ryder, now that all the attention was on him and Rocky. "If it's alwight with you Wyder, I think Wocky and I could use tomowwow off. Wocky's gonna need time to welax before meeting Slash, and I wanna be there for him."

"You two do what you gotta do Zuma." Ryder replied understandingly, knowing how important the mental health of each of his dogs was. "And let me know if I can help with that."

Flare had an idea in mind to help Rocky himself, having been on the team long enough to get to know his interests. Maybe one of them would be a good place for him to relax during his day off. "Would finding out where the best relaxation spots in Wolfland are and giving them to you tomorrow help you?"

"I think you already know the answer to that Flare." Rocky told Flare with a smile, being grateful for the offer to help out. Flare gave a smile and peace sign with a smiling laugh. Despite what's he's been dealing with himself lately, that didn't make him any less ready to want to help his friends.

To be continued.

Rock music played as Rubble started speaking in regards to what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "Okay. So, I've been hanging out with the Paw Patrol a lot lately, and they're all pretty cool. But Rocky can come off as weirdly protective. I haven't known him for long and can't say why, but I hope it doesn't lead to anything creepy. Then again, it'd be pretty hard to get creepier than the demons we faced two nights ago."

Flare finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with Flare on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, Getting A Bigger Picture. (Flare was shown to be looking around Wolfland for anyone who might know more about what he's looking for) Just gotta find at least one wolf to point us to something good."
