Disclaimer: I'm surprised it's taken me this long to write a chapter about the pups going on a double date. Especially with how often F.M., Marshall, Snow, and Everest started hanging out after they basically became a quartet. Oh well, at least it's here now. Let's see how I do with it!
Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.
Paw Patrol X
Land and Sea arc Episode fourteen: Double Date: Paw Patrol Edition
Chase and Marshall were in the living room in tuxedos, Marshall in red and Chase in blue respectively. The two of them were getting good looks at themselves in the mirror, and then decided to play around with each other when looking at each other. This started with them pointing to each other in classy ways. "Hey!" This was followed up by Chase pretending to kiss his muscle, which made Marshall laugh. Marshall followed this up by spinning his bow tie around and saying something seductive. This made Chase laugh as well, since he knew what it was.
As Chase and Marshall were laughing, Skye came out from the hallway and caught the two boys' attention. "You two seem to be enjoying yourself."
Chase and Marshall did their signature paw shake before Chase went over to Skye and took her paw lovingly. "Not as much as we will be later tonight."
Chase and Skye left the Lookout with Skye checking in with Chase on one more thing. "And you're sure it's okay we bring Claw and Coral?"
"Of course. Just as long as they don't interrupt the moments we'll be getting alone." Chase reminded Skye in a flirty way, tapping her nose gently with Skye giggling as they went over to his car. Claw was waiting beside Chase's caw, looking anxious and excited at the same time. "Just be straight forward with her Claw. That's why Skye and I started working."
Chase wrapped his arm around Skye as she reminded him that there was more to it than that. "Well it's not the only reason." Chase and Skye nuzzled each other with Claw smiling as he saw how loving Chase and Skye were up close once again. He was glad that, at least now, no one was against him getting together with Coral.
Inside the Lookout, F.M., Snow, and Everest were heading down the hallway as Snow questioned why they were wearing dresses with how their date was going. "Remind me why we're wearing dresses when our couple time is happening at the Lookout."
"Marshall and I thought we should have them on now in case we decide to head into town." F.M. explained, and then Marshall was shown looking for the best movie for them to start off with. She held Snow's paw as she assured her that she would love that. "Here's hoping recent events won't ruin that."
Snow held F.M.'s paw lovingly with Everest giving her a supportive smile before heading over to Marshall, who just picked out the movie for them to watch. "You mentioned you and Snow were into crime thrillers, right?"
Everest got a good look at the movie before kneeling down and kissing Marshall's cheek lovingly. "You know us so well." Marshall smiled, glad he was able to keep his girlfriend's favorite movie genre in mind despite everything going on.
Chase, Skye, and Claw were arriving at Sid and Arrby's ship as Skye noticed Claw seeming nervous. Knowing this was his first real date, she gave him some advice on how to talk to Coral. "Coral's been having a hard time making decisions on her own lately. She'll definitely need help, but try encouraging her to make her own calls when needed."
"Okay, yeah. I think I can do that." Claw responded confidently, and then he blushed a bit when he recalled a memory from last month. "I'll also make sure I don't fart in her face this time."
Claw chuckled a bit before Chase reminded her of another tip for getting her affection. "Take a shot at escorting her to the car. That always sets the mood."
Claw did as advised and left the car's back seat before going up to Chase with a warning. "If it happens again, make yours bigger." Chase did a click noise while pointing to Claw, allowing him to head up to Sid and Arrby's ship with confidence. He knocked on the ship door, announcing that it was him when he did. "Hello!?" Coral was inside getting ready with Arrby's help and heard him from the living room. "It's me; Claw!"
"Claw!" Coral was ecstatic to hear Claw, but had several conflicting thoughts lingering through her mind when she thought about what could go down. "What if this doesn't go well? What if I screw something up and ruin the whole nigh? Or what if it doesn't go that way? What if things go well and we go on another date? Oh, but that one could go wrong too!"
Arrby saw how worried Coral was, placing a paw on her shoulder as he told her what he felt she should do. "You do want to go on this date, right Coral?"
Coral didn't know how to answer that. She still couldn't believe anything she thought about herself. "I... think so. But what if I don't and I don't realize it yet? I'd be wasting everyone's time."
"You were really excited when you heard Claw's voice." Arrby pointed out, making Coral realize how silly she was being. She shook Arrby's paw for support, and she went over to the door when giving him a thumbs up.
Coral answered the door for Claw, who was scratching his butt before she did. After darting his eyes down to his butt, he looked back at her and responded after cupping his paws together. "Um... that was exactly what it looked like." Coral snickered a bit at how silly Claw was before taking the paw that wasn't scratching his butt. Together, they walked over to the car with Claw trying to get to know Coral more. "So. Do you like dancing?"
"I haven't tried it in years." Coral admitted, seeming conflicted on whether or not she should do it. "I think I want to try it again."
"Then let's see how true that thought is!" Claw suggested happily, helping Coral into the car with the Cockapoo feeling good about tonight. She still wasn't sure if it was real or not, but her heart was telling her that it was. She just hoped she could trust herself to keep thinking so.
Chase then warned Coral about how the ride to the ballroom could get when looking back at her. "Fair warning Coral. Riding with me is never a pleasant ride without open windows."
"Yeah, Skye warned me about that one." Coral admitted, allowing Chase to roll the windows down before he started driving off. All four pups hoped tonight would be a fun one for all of them.
F.M., Marshall, Snow, and Everest were watching the movie Marshall picked out at the Lookout with Snow being particularly fond of this one. They were reaching a personal favorite part of hers, which showed the detective besting the villain of the movie in a sword duel. "Alright Chinlock! Slay his sorry butt!"
Marshall wrapped her arm around Everest as they continued watching the movie, and F.M. did the same for Snow. She also expressed her own thoughts on the movie, which were quite positive. "This was a great introduction to the genre." Snow was glad to hear that, having felt that F.M. would've liked this movie from the start.
The next part of the movie was quite the graphic one, where Chinlock had to finish off the antagonist by slicing his head off. This was quite the brutal moment that made F.M. and Marshall flinch before Marshall spoke up. "Oookaaay, I should've looked more closely at that age rating."
"Marshall, lots of kids media has people chopping heads off." Snow reminded Marshall, pointing to a direct example of something like that happening in one of his own favorite shows. "I also recall you binging that Ginga Legend anime, where someone literally rips off another dog's nuts as an attack."
Marshall laughed at the jab of irony there before admitting that Snow was right. "No way I can argue with that."
Everest pointed out something else about the movie to F.M. and Marshall so they wouldn't get confused. "By the way, Chinlock arranged this funeral for Grimace because he feels that no matter how awful a person is, they should still get a proper sendoff when dead."
F.M. felt a warmness inside of her when she heard that. What Chinlock believed simply felt right to her. "He sounds like someone I'd get along with."
"I sure hope so. I heard his actor's as much of a charmer as his character." F.M. then gave a sly grin to Snow, who followed it up by some playful flirting. "But he'd never be able to take me away from you. Even if we were in the same age group." Snow kissed F.M.'s cheek while taking another shot at Chinlock's actor. "And that's not just because I'm not into dudes who smoke bubble pipes." F.M. giggled a bit before the four got back to watching the end of the movie.
Chase and Skye were dancing in the middle of the ballroom, with Claw and Coral doing so on the side as well. Claw and Coral were clearly bad at dancing, and both were struggling to follow each other's movements as easily as they'd like. Claw accidentally stepped on Coral's paw during one of their flails, making her wince with him apologizing in response. "Sorry, that was an accident."
"I know, it's okay. I'm rusty too." Coral assured Claw, and then she looked over to Chase and Skye to make sure. She could at least tell on sight that this thought was true. "Yep. Definitely rusty."
Chase and Skye were dancing quite close to each other as Skye talked about everything that's been going on lately. "It's just been a lot to take in. Coral being back in my life, all that's happened with PupLantis, Wave's death..." Chase showed compassion towards Skye as he kept his paws at her back. "I don't think I've been this distraught since you turned into a demon. At least this time, I know what to do."
Chase was glad that Skye was confident in her decision making. He knew that would be handy with helping Coral. "Then Coral's lucky to have you." Skye smiled in response as Chase backed up his point. "After learning the truth about Miranda, I can imagine she's got a lot on her mind right now. You even said it yourself that the situation made her really indecisive." Skye looked at Chase, who assured Skye she was making the right calls so far. "It's no wonder you gave Claw the advice you did."
"I also wanted to help him make it with Coral." Skye admitted, having been tempted to play matchmaker with them for a while. "They just look so cute together. Just like us. I'm hoping they managed to find their special someones, just like we did with each other."
Chase was right there with Skye on that one. Claw and Coral seemed like a good match. If only they knew how to seal the deal. "They may need a little more proof of that to make it official." Chase and Skye stopped in the middle of the ballroom when they were suddenly met with...
PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
...two loud and big farts that made their butts vibrate as they surrounded the room with big green clouds of moldy cheese. Skye blushed upon this release with Chase smiling proudly as he clarified what he meant about that. "And I don't mean farting in sync. That can happen to anyone."
Skye looked around and saw some of the other residents in the room pass out or leave the building. She blushed a little harder after seeing that, but smiled when looking at Chase. "It definitely won't involve farting." Claw and Coral were shown wearing nose plugs as they snickered at how Chase and Skye were making themselves look right now...
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
F.M. and Snow were now baking cookies together with F.M. setting the timer after Snow closed the door to the oven. F.M. was telling Snow something that related to some kind of past event she had with Marshall during this. "And I haven't let Marshall help me in the kitchen since."
Snow laughed a bit at the story, showing that it was quite the comedic one. "That totally sounds like a Marshall moment."
"Hehe. Yeah." F.M. admitted, and then she started leaning on the counter as she opened up to Snow about something else. "Still. I guess that's kind of proof that he was to me, what dad was to him and Margareth."
Snow looked at F.M. as she asked about something regarding F.M. and Marshall's life on Twin Flame Island. "Did Marshall ever mentioning having to grow up fast?"
"No, but it was pretty obvious." F.M. answered before looking at the ceiling when continuing the conversation. It was quite a grim point that was on her mind as well. "Add that to the list of things I put this family through."
Snow was shocked to hear that, walking over to F.M. and taking her paws to assure her she wasn't to blame for that. "That wasn't your fault F.M.."
The look F.M. gave to Snow broke her heart, as it showed her just how much burden she'd been carrying ever since she learned the truth. "Wasn't it? Mom only listened to Miranda because her pregnancy with me could've ended in tragedy." Snow looked to see Marshall and Everest looking for another movie in the living room. She knew Marshall would be able to help F.M. with this. "I never blamed mom for anything. She was just trying to protect me. But she wouldn't have had to if..."
F.M. started to choke, and Snow put her paws on her shoulders as she told her what she felt F.M. needed to hear. "You had no control over what happened then F.M.." F.M. listened to what Snow had to say, knowing she was telling her this out of love. "No one had any control over Wave's pregnancy with you, and you had no control over what happened eleven years ago." Snow wiped the tear coming from F.M.'s eye as she continued making her point. "You're right to not blame Wave. It's not your fault either. The only one to blame for Blaze's death, is Miranda."
F.M. tried to contain her tears, wanting to believe that what Snow was saying was true. "I do want to believe that. I just can't help believing that if I was never born, dad would still be here."
"You listen here F.M. Munroe." F.M. did as insisted with Snow telling F.M. exactly what she knew. "Your family doesn't regret having you in their lives, not one bit. I've seen more than enough from Marshall to know that he's glad you're here. And I know it's the same for Wave and Margareth. I also know that if Blaze was given another chance... he would've chosen to save you." F.M. was incredibly touched by Snow's words, feeling incredibly elevated after hearing them. "So please. Please don't think of your birth as a curse. You've always been the exact opposite."
F.M. kissed Snow after hearing her say that, showing that her words helped her get closer to recovery. Snow embraced the kiss, knowing that while F.M. was still healing, she felt great for being able to help her. The kiss ended after five seconds, and F.M.'s smile showed how well Snow's words worked. "You really mean that."
"Of course I do. You've done nothing but bring joy and love to us every day since you moved here." Snow said, unable to resist gushing about her amazing girlfriend. "You've never been a burden to me, even when you're doing something stupid. And you've managed to help all of us in more ways than one. Claw, Charm, Rocky, Skye, and... me. Just to name a few."
F.M. placed a paw on Snow's cheek, allowing the moment to sit as they looked into each others eyes. "Thanks Snowflake." Upon looking away briefly, she came up with a thought that could help her. "Should I visit mom and dad's graves?"
"Only if you feel you're ready." Snow encouraged F.M., wanting her to only do what she felt she could. "And I know they'd love it if you did." F.M. smiled again, showing that talking to Snow about this was helping the pain go away. She still needed time to fully heal, but she was one step closer to reaching that bar.
Chase and Skye were relaxing under the stars at the beach while looking across the sea all snuggled up. Chase had a question for Skye about something that he hoped the time for would be appropriate. "Hey Skye?" Skye looked at Chase, who hoped he wouldn't sound stupid for asking this. "Do I do a good job at helping you and the others?"
"Of course you do!" Skye answered assuredly, looking at Chase with loving and caring eyes as she backed up her belief in that. "The only reason I didn't believe you about Coral helping Miranda was because I didn't want to lose her again. You were doing great then too."
Chase chuckled a bit as he admitted that the question probably sounded dumb. "I know. Stupid question." Chase looked over the sea again when admitting to why he asked the question in the first place. "I just wonder sometimes, if what I'm doing is enough. I can't help worrying that as hard as I try, I can always do more."
Skye placed her paw on Chase's chest when letting him know exactly how she felt. "You do more than enough every day. You're the most dutiful, loyal, and leaderlike dog ever, and you show it every day along with your heart of gold." Skye kissed Chase's cheek when she brought up the one thing she felt was holding him back. "You just have to stop doubting yourself so much."
"That, I'm working on. Dr. Feather has been great help with that." Chase assured Skye, and then he and Skye looked back out to the ocean with her.
Skye brought up something else on her mind regarding Chase's self worth. "You even offered to help Charm after all he's done. Maybe you can do that for Coral too."
"I think letting her come was the start to that." Chase admitted, showing that he was never against helping Coral find true happiness. Not that he ever denied it anyway.
Meanwhile, Claw and Coral were having a young nighttime stroll elsewhere on the beach with Claw telling Coral about something funny. "And then I tried licking the marshmallows off of my nose, which as you can imagine, looked as dumb as it sounded."
Coral laughed at how that memory looked with Claw being glad to see her enjoying his company. "Hot cocoa nose. That does sound like fun." Coral started to wonder if this really was her having a good time, or if she just thought that. She still couldn't trust herself with anything she thought. She hoped this wouldn't sound dumb to Claw. "Claw?" Claw gave Coral his full attention as she asked her question. "How do you trust that what you think you feel, is real, and not just an illusion?"
Claw wasn't sure how to answer that at first. It was certainly a delicate question. After giving it a bit of thought, he thought up the best answer for Coral. "That's a tough one. I kind of always act on emotion."
"Like when you blush whenever you crash into something?" Coral asked innocently, and Claw snickered a bit before nodding his head yes to confirm that. Coral thought of something else that she hoped Claw wouldn't mind answering. "You heard me tell Skye and Snow about Starfish Cove, right?"
Claw nodded his head yes for an answer, and since Coral didn't speak up, he gave his insight. "It can be hard to tell what you really feel sometimes. Like with me and Charm. I thought anger was all I felt towards him. But Moby helped me realize I was scared as well."
Coral started to wonder about that, since Claw had obviously forgiven her before Charm. "Wave's death is still fresh. Why did you forgive me first?"
Claw flinched when Coral asked that, but had to admit that she had a point. He was also still a little worried about confessing his feelings for her. Coral listened closely as Claw explained himself. "I'm not exactly sure. At least not entirely. Like I said, Moby helped me see how scared Charm relapsing made me. When we first met, he used me for his own evil doings. And then threatened me with Sweetie and Caiohme's lives. Maybe it's because I get a different vibe from you? I don't know. To be honest, I hadn't thought about it until you brought it up."
"Oh god, I'm sorry; I didn't mean to upset you."
"You didn't. The question just, surprised me is all."
Coral then opened up about something else regarding Charm. "I want to forgive him. Not just because of the poison thing... but because I can feel he's trying."
"He's made incredible progress." Claw agreed, and he saw an opportunity to give Coral some advice on her indecisiveness after that. "Hey, um... I know this may not make much sense, but... no one is confident about every decision they make. Or how they feel afterwards. And the only way we'll know the outcome of that decision, is to make it. And it can be scary, and sometimes, we'll make the wrong call. But at least then, we have something to learn from."
That gave Coral something else to think about. Thankfully, that something was a perspective that helped her further open her eyes.
Marshall and Everest were snuggling on the couch together as F.M. and Snow checked up on the cookies with Marshall looking at his phone. Everest saw that it was the same photo of Blaze's grave he showed her from almost three and a half years ago. "I can't imagine how different visiting both of their graves will feel."
Marshall put the photo away as he responded. "Especially since mom won't be there this time." Marshall sighed, looking at Everest with the hope that he didn't kill the mood. "I'm sorry Eve. This is supposed to be fun, not a reminded of mom's death."
"Actually Marshall, you thinking of it might be a good thing." Snow chimed in before she and F.M. were shown walking towards their siblings with the cookies. They sat down on the couch after setting the cookies down as Snow explained why. "F.M. and I were talking about things too, and we came up with something that'd be perfect for both of you."
Marshall liked the sound of that and listened closely with Everest to hear what that was. "Fire away!"
After Snow rubbed her shoulder for comfort, F.M. got to bringing up the idea herself. "We think the best way for us to come to terms with mom's death would be... to visit mom and dad's graves. With Margareth of course." Marshall and Everest looked at each other in response before looking back at F.M.. "I totally get it if you think it's too soon. Heck; I don't even know if I'M ready yet. Snow and I just think that it'd be best for all of us if we were to do this."
Marshall and Everest smiled with the former being in full support of this idea. "I couldn't agree more if I tried."
F.M. smiled and hugged Marshall, who wrapped his arms around F.M. with Snow picking up the remote. "For now though, let's keep enjoying ourselves until the night is over!"
"Oh, F.M.! You're gonna love this movie." Everest assured F.M., who became intrigued by what movie this was. Snow pressed the play button, and the four sat back together and watched it together. F.M. wrapped her arm around Snow during this, as did Marshall with Everest, all of whom were glad to be spending this time together.
During their time at the beach, Chase and Claw were talking by Chase's car as he helped her with Coral. "Take it from me Claw. If she can handle your flaws, that's a sign that you're going to work out. The real kicker is figuring out if they reciprocate your feelings."
Claw looked back on her crush with Everest after Chase said that. He hoped this wouldn't be a similar story. "It was hard to accept that Everest liked Marshall at first." Claw looked at Chase with a question made to raise hope. "Do you think it'll be a different story with Coral?"
"I can't answer that for you Claw. The only way you'll know is if you make a move. Or if she does." Chase explained, knowing that the only two who could progress the future for Claw and Coral, were Claw and Coral. "And don't make the same mistake I did and waste your time hoping for a yes without actually doing anything. It took me six, years, to make the first move with Skye."
Claw couldn't help snorting at the revelation Chase just gave him. "And let me guess; your butt asked her out for you when you were alone at a fancy party?" Claw's jab led to a smiling eye roll and playful punch from Chase. Claw then got serious about when he should ask Coral out on his own. "How will I know when the right moment is?"
"That's the thing. I don't think there IS a right moment." Chase admitted, knowing that this could be confusing to Claw. "I think the moment you do it is just the moment that reveals whether or not things will happen."
Claw looked down at the ground and crossed his arms as he made a comment. "Well that's annoyingly vague."
Chase laughed a bit before admitting that he saw where Claw was coming from. "Yeah, I know. But it's better than annoyingly complicated." Claw smiled to show that he agreed with Chase on that one.
Skye and Coral were still on the beach as Coral picked up a seashell with Skye taking notice. She saw Coral looking at it with a smile, showing that she still loved the sea and plenty of stuff about it. At least the reveal of Miranda's deception didn't take that away. Skye took a moment to encourage Coral to make a move forward in her life. "Maybe you could travel with Sid and Arrby when they leave Adventure Bay." Coral looked at Skye, who pointed out how good it would be for Coral. "You'd always be out on the sea."
Coral seemed to love that idea, feeling that the sea would always be part of her life. "It would be nice." Coral wondered if she really believed that for a moment, but shook it off to try and trust her own judgement. She then looked to Skye with something relating to her suggestion. "Do you think Sid and Arrby would mind?"
"They haven't complained about you living with them yet." Skye reminded Coral, who felt even better after being reminded of that. "And you can always come back to Adventure Bay to visit us. I'm sure the others wouldn't mind."
Coral started thinking about F.M. and Marshall after hearing that. She loved the idea of visiting Skye, but she wasn't sure if they'd be okay with it. "What about F.M. and Marshall?" Skye saw where Coral was coming from, especially when she further explained why she brought them up. "I haven't seen them since we learned that Eveline was really Miranda. What if me coming back reopens old wounds for them?"
"If that were the case, they would've banned you from Wave's funeral." Skye pointed out, but Coral's indecisiveness continued to thrive inside of her. Skye took her free paw and assured her that everything would be okay. "I know it's been hard to believe... well, anything, lately, but I've known F.M. and Marshall for years. They wouldn't say they were okay with you being around if they didn't mean it." Coral looked at the seashell, which made her think about how safe this felt compared to her life in PupLantis. "I'm sure they'd be okay with seeing you again."
Coral smiled again, looking at Skye as she replied with more confidence in her thoughts on this than before. "Well, if you really think so, then I guess it's worth considering."
"If not, I'll settle for video calls." Skye responded, making Coral glad to have options. She just hoped she could use them properly.
F.M., Marshall, Snow, and Everest were all laying down on the couch with F.M. snuggling with Snow, and Marshall snuggling with Everest. F.M. nuzzled Snow lovingly and made her smile as she looked up at the ceiling. The warm embrace of her girlfriend always helped her feel joy, no matter the night. They could be in the darkest place in the world and just F.M.'s presence would light up her world. When F.M. saw the smile Snow was giving, it made her smile as well. She was always happy whenever she was able to bring anyone into a good mood.
Marshall and Everest felt the same way when the two of them were all cuddled up together. They had less room than F.M. and Snow, as they were in one of the chairs as opposed to the couch. But they didn't mind one bit. It just gave them more of an excuse to show affection towards each other. Everest even found Marshall's tickle spot and scratched his chest, making him kick his leg while smiling widely. Everest definitely knew by now how to enhance his mood.
F.M. wrapped her arms around Snow as she expressed what a great night she had with her, Marshall, and Everest. "This is nice."
"I'm glad." Snow replied, happy that F.M. was able to have a good time tonight. "I think we all needed a night to just chill out."
F.M. pulled up a blanket for her and Snow to sleep under as she backed up what she said after yawning. "You have no idea." After that, F.M. and Snow fell asleep, leading to Marshall and Everest giggling to each other before they headed off. They decided to let F.M. and Snow try sleeping together for the first time. They were going to do so as well to fit the night's theme. F.M. and Snow laid snugly in that blanket on the couch together, not even caring that they weren't in a bed.
Chase, Skye, Claw, and Coral were now outside Sid and Arrby's ship with Claw walking up to Coral and offering his paw after they both exited Chase's car. Coral smiled gratefully and accepted Claw's offer to walk her up there. After they did, Chase started talking to Skye about how much fun she had tonight. "So did the best girlfriend in the world manage to have the amazing night out I hoped to give her?"
"She most certainly did." Skye answered before booping Chase's nose lovingly. "Just like the best boyfriend in the world did an amazing job at delivering it."
Chase nuzzled Skye lovingly before he expressed how great this night was for all four of the Canines involved. "It seems like we all had a good night."
Chase pointed up to where Claw and Coral were talking, and after seeing it, Skye expressed how much she needed this when pulling her bandana out from her dress. "I hope it's not dumb that I still have this on me."
"After everything you've been through lately? It'd be confusing if you didn't." Chase answered, letting Skye know how he felt about the bandana. "I know how much weight has been put on you since we learned Coral was still alive. You hold onto that bandana for as long as you need it."
"To be honest, I wish I didn't need it at all." Skye admitted before smiling to Chase again. "But, thanks Chase."
Skye put her bandana away with Chase smiling as he gave Skye some supportive words to help her through this, just in case it got as deep as his own self worth issues. "I think the thing we all need most when we're struggling mentally, is a group of friends and family to give you support. Even when it looks like having that is hard." Chase placed his paw on Skye's paw as he expressed how much that applied to her. "The Paw Patrol, and you especially, are still that for me."
"We all try to be that for each other, don't we?" Skye asked in response, and Chase laughed a bit at that fact as Skye gained a question in mind for him. "Hey. Do you think you'll ever want to go back to that city you lived in before meeting Ryder?"
Chase thought deeply about that question before answering. He knew he still had some unresolved trauma from that place. He actually wasn't even sure how to find it. "I'm not really sure. I don't even know how to get there. It's been so long since I left."
Skye gave Chase a supportive look to show that if this time came, she would be there for him. "Maybe Ryder can track it. He must remember the name too."
"Maybe." Chase replied, showing that a part of him was open to going back to his trauma city. For now though, he had to focus on Skye, and helping her and the others with what they're facing now.
Claw and Coral were still talking at the door to Sid and Arrby's boat as Claw worked up the courage to ask her out. "And since we had so much fun tonight, I was wondering if you, maybe wanted to..." Claw showed some tickets to Coral as he nervously revealed what they were for. "come to this musical with me?" Coral was touched that Claw remembered her mention wanting to see a real musical one day. Claw was unsure of that with her hesitation to answer. "I-if not, that's okay. I know you still have a lot on your mind right now, and if you think-"
Coral surprised Claw by gently taking the ticket from his paw, showing that she was taking his advice on not letting fear make her indecisive. Her smile showed that she was sincere about wanting this. "I'd love to." It seemed she was becoming more okay with expressing all of her emotions now. She showcased this further when kissing Claw's right cheek. "Just try not to fart on me again."
Claw blushed a bit when expressing joy to spend some one on one time with Coral. "I'll try not to. And, we have three more weeks. I just felt I should ask now since tonight went so well."
"I'm glad you did." Coral said before thinking about how she felt in Adventure Bay compared to PupLantis. The warmth she felt from everyone, especially Skye and Claw, felt far more real than the joy she thought she had with Miranda. She just hoped her feelings were real this time. "I think I, want to spend more time with you."
"I think I feel the same way." Claw assured Coral, and then he remembered Chase and Skye were waiting for him and turned a bit while still looking at Coral. "I should be getting home now. I should be free to hang out more if you want."
Coral gave Claw her number, deciding to make a move alongside him to further progress their potential relationship. "Call me." Claw accepted the number before saying goodbye to Coral as she went into the ship. Chase and Skye said goodbye to Coral as well, and after Claw got in, Chase got the car started to drive off.
After Coral went into the ship, she saw that Sid and Arrby weren't home and went off to her room, figuring they must be out. She went into her room and looked at her whiteboard again, showing that she truly was taking Claw's advice to heart. She picked up a marker and circled the plan that said 'Find a way to recruit Mer-Pups for Adventure Bay!'. It was clear that Coral was preparing for what could be a war. And since Miranda was lusting after vengeance, it was hard to blame her.
To be continued.
Rock music played as F.M. started speaking in regards to what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "You can do this F.M.. You just have to say hi, and tell mom and dad what you've been up to. Wait, what are Mer-Pups doing here? They're on our side? These must be some of the ones who behaved at the seminar. Coral, how did you get them here? We appreciate the help of course, but Miranda might find out. We have to be careful."
F.M. finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with F.M. on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, It's Up To You! (Skye and Charm were were looking around Dragon's Hamlet for some things supposedly for Skye's ship) Miranda really doesn't practice her anti-change preaches, does she."
