Katherine , Cabe and Ralph , made their way back to the kitchen . Walter stopped at the door of his bedroom and gently knocked on the door .
" Who is it ? " He heard Paige shout .
" It is me my love . " A smile on his face .
" Hold on a second . " Paige replied .
A couple of minutes later the door was opened by Allie . " She is just finishing feeding Megan and then she as got to change her .
" Ok , just to let you know , we are all going back to the kitchen , once Paige is ready ,could you both please join us . " Walter told Allie , his face did not have a smile on it which is all Allie had seen since she arrived .
" Is something wrong Walter ? You seem so serious ." Allie asked .
" Ralph as uncovered some very disturbing information . It is something we need to discuss and both of you could maybe look at it a different way . But please tell Paige not to rush and look after the little princess , we can wait . "
At that Walter turned from the door and made his way to the kitchen . Once he reached the kitchen , Katherine was at the coffee maker .
" Paige and Allie will be down in a few minutes . I would like them here before we begin discussing the information Ralph as uncovered . "
Katherine turned to him and with a smile on her face said . " Of course . "
Five minutes later Paige and Allie returned to the kitchen , Paige carrying the bassenet . Walter immediatly moved over to Paige and placed a kiss on her cheek , he then looked into the bassenet , but Megan had again fallen asleep .
Katherine poured everyone coffee , except Ralph who had a glass of milk and cookies . Once everyone was seated , Walter quickly went through what Ralph had uncovered on the computer , mainly for Paige and Allie although the others were only to glad listen to it again .
Walter then explained to Paige and Allie what he wanted to do over the next couple of days . Paige agreed , much to Ralph's delight , that she would call college in the morning and tell them Ralph would not be in for a couple of days .
She then suggested that she would bring Ralph over first thing the next day . She would then stay as well until lunch , she would then return home to get the meal ready for the evening . While there during the morning she intended to check the filing cabinet 's contents , to see if there was any information about Baltic Holdings and the other companies named as their subsidiaries . Tuesday she intended spending all day with her two favourite men .
Walter pulled his phone out and hit the contact for Richard . " Good afternoon Richard , hope you are having a good Sunday . - Yes i am phoning because something personal as come up and i was hopeing i could book the next two days off as holiday . - Ok , thank you , i will see you Wednesday morning . Goodbye . "
He turned to Katherine . " Well that is sorted . Cabe you will need to go back to Homeland tomorrow and just be your normal self . We cannot afford for Carlson or anyone at Homeland to get any idea of what we are up to . "
Cabe gave a small smile . " I will just go and be my usual grumpy self , which i have been ever since Carlson assigned me the desk job in the stastic's office . "
Walter gave a smile and answered . " Well with a bit of luck , maye not for much longer . One other very importent thing , i will never ring you at Homeland , can you and Katherine get a burner phone each . This is so you can phone me , but never from or even near to Homeland or your own homes . "
Both Katherine and Cabe looked at him , total confusion on their faces .
Walter again smiled before turning to Ralph . " Do you want to explain to them ? "
Ralph had an even bigger smile on his face than Walter's . " Yes please . "
He turned to face Cabe and Katherine . " Phone calls can be traced , by the towers they use to get from one phone to the other . Dad does not want your phones traced if Carlson does get any idea about what is going on . By using a burner phone , it will not be registered by the phone company . That means the phone will not be traced to either of you . The reason not to phone from Homeland or your home is the call could be traced to the nearest towers to those locations . "
Cabe turned to Walter . " What about us coming to Paige's condo for dinner tomorrow night ."
Walter again smiled before answering . " I am sure Carlson , if he does find out about that , he will not be suspicious at all . He knows how you felt about your precious Scorpion and it's members . Unless of course you have told him different since the split. "
Cabe looked down at his feet before answering . " I would not tell him anything even if his pants were on fire . "
" Just on more thing , try and buy your burner phones at least ten miles away from Homeland or your homes . "
Again both Katherine and Cabe looked confused .
Walter again smiled . " If Carlson has any chance of having anyone as good as Ralph or myself he can use , they could trace were you bought it from . So the further away from those places the better and less chance it will connect to you two . "
Katherine had a half smile on her face as she answered . " As if . "
Walter walked over to one of the kitchen drawers and pulled out a basic phone . " Call me on this phone , it is an old burner phone from Scorpion days , it was the only personal thing i took from the garage . " He gave both Katherine and Cabe the number .
After about thirty minutes of general chat , Walter suggested they all go to Kovelsky's . All except Katherine , who already had plans for the evening , agreed .
Walter and Paige walked Katherine to the door . " I am so pleased you two are back together and Megan is gorgeous . Thank you Walter for bringing all that information to me , you could have just ignored it . "
Paige looked at Katherine . " I think you know Walter better than that . "
" I should do . But i must admit since Carlson has been in charge , i have become very cynical . I am so sorry Walter . "
Walter simpley said " No problem . "
Before they left for Kovelsky's , Paige checked on Megan , who had just woken up and decided she needed changing .
Fifteen minutes later they were on their way . Walter travelling with Paige , but this time sitting on the back seat , so he could talk to Megan .
9.00am Monday morning Paige pulled on the drive of Walter's home , as the day before , she had not got the car door open , as Walter opened the front door and made his way to the car .
Helping Paige out of the car " I have missed you , i am pleased you will be spending time with us this morning . "
Paige a big smile on her face reached behind his head and pulled it towards her so she could kiss him . Ralph scrambled out of the back seat and put his arms around them both .
Paige released Walter and moved to the back door of the car , one Ralph had left open . Leaning in she pulled Megan in her bassenet out of the car . Walter immediatly moved up to her so he could sneak a glance at Megan , who once again had fallen asleep .
" let's get into the house , Walter can you grab the big bag , Ralph can you manage the smaller one , i will bring Megan . "
Once inside , they sat down on the stools , Megan's bassenet was placed on the kitchen island . Walter was at that moment content just to sit there with his little family . It took Paige's voice to bring him back to the real world .
" Walter we are here to work , so what is the plan for today ? "
Walter shook his head . " Sorry i was just lost in my own little world with my perect family . Ok i am going to try and trace the money , Ralph i want you to find out all about Baltic Holdings and all it's subsidiaries . Not sure if the S.E.C. will be of any use as no doubt none of their companies would be public owned . Paige would you mind going through the rest of the filing cabinet to see if there is any more usefull information . "
Ralph opened his backpack and removed his computer . " I am ready . " He told Walter .
Paige smiled and said . " Me to . "
Walter just shook his head . " Ok i thing we should work in the office upstairs , that is if you think it will be warm enough for Megan . "
" Well i have no choice but to work there , i do not relish moving all the filing cabinet's files down here . If it is a little chilly , i can leave her in the bedroom and use this . " As she finished speaking she pulled a two piece baby monitor out of her bag .
" Thinking of everything again . " Walter said the smile even bigger on his face .
All three made their way up to the corridor bedroom , Walter carrying Megan's bassenet . They were soon all busy concentrating on the areas they had decided on . Megan in her Bassenet on the end of the desk Walter was working on .
They had been working for about three hours , none of them , as yet , with any information . Paige was just openig the fourth and final drawer of the cabinet . She immediatly saw the first file was marked Baltic Holdings , she held her breath as she slowly pulled it from the drawer and placed it on top of the cabinet . Slowly opening the file . she saw a large amount of documentation . Her face lit up , it was almost as if she had just discovered the Holy Grail .
She removed the first document and saw it was a copy of a letter dated March 2013 , she walked over to Walter . " Did Richard tell you the exact date the owners of this house died ? "
Walter looked up from what he was doing , a smile appearing on his face as he saw Paige standing in front of him .
" No all he told me was it happened about five years ago , why is it importment ? "
" I don't think so , it is just i have found a file labeled Baltic Holdings , the last document is dated March 2013 . " She said the smile on her face matching Walter's .
" Well that would tie in date wise . What exactly is it ? "
" it appears to be a letter to a customer in Sudan , it basically thanks them for an order of farm machinary , that would be shipped on the 04/ 03 / 2013 on a vessel called the Merryman , from the port of Philadelphia . It then askes for a payment of $20,000 be paid into their bank account . "
Walter held his hand out and Paige passed him the letter . He reread then put it back on the desk , his face took on a very stern look before answering Paige . " There was a lot of hostility in that area for many years . It would seem to be a coded letter to their customer to tell them about the weapons , it would tie in with the packing cases we found in the other room . I think you need to go through the rest of the folder with great care . Some of the information we need could be in it . "
As he finished speaking , Megan began to cry .
" The little lady needs some attention . " Paige said a smile on her face .
Walter immediatly stood up and leaned into the bassenet . " Hello my little princess , do you feel ignored ? " Walter spoke to her in a very calm and quiet voice .
Megan gave a sort of grunt , then broke out into a big smile , before again uttering , " DA, Da ."
Paige came over to Walter , kissed him on the cheek and whispered . " I told you she knows exactly who you are , Da , Da . "
She then reached in the bassenet and carefully picked Megan up . " Oh, Oh , i think our little princess needs changing . It is almost time for her feed as well . I will take her to your bedroom , give me twenty minutes , then come and knock the door . We can all then go down to the kitchen and have some lunch that i bought with me . "
Both Walter and Ralph smiled .
" Well organized as usual . " Walter told her still with a big smile on his face .
Paige put Megan back into the bassenet , gave Walter a quick kiss , picked the bassenet up and left .
After she left , Walter turned to Ralph . " Not much luck yet ? "
Ralph looked disappointed . " They do not seem to be on any of the social media , that includes a Web Site . "
Walter looked thoughtful for a moment . " Have you checked under their own names of Squires ? "
Ralph shook his head . " No but , let me see . " Ralph sat down and began working his computer again .
After twenty minutes , Walter looked up from his computer . " Any luck Ralph ? "
" There are plenty of Squires on social media , however i cannot sort out which may be our Squires . "Replied Ralph .
Walter looked across at him . " It is best to leave that for now and go and see if your mom is ready . We can come back to these problems after lunch . Come on . "
Ralph smiled and shut his computer down . They made their way to Walter's bedroom . Walter gently knocked on the door .
" Come in . " They heard Paige call , Paige was putting Megan back into her bassenet , a smile on both their faces .
Paige cleaned up after lunch was finished and got ready to leave . " I want you both back at the condo by 6.00pm . " She looked straight at Walter . " If you are back on time i will let you give Megan her bottle , before i put her to bed . "
Walter with a big smile on his face replied . " I will set the alarm on my phone for 5.00pm. just to make sure we are back by 6.00pm. . "
Paige walked across to him and pulled his face to her and planted a kiss on his lips . " We are going to go now , i will count the minutes until i see you again . "
With another quick peck on his cheek , she picked Megan and the bassenet up and left . Walter and Ralph went back up to the office and worked all afternoon . Walter was constantly complaining about the lack of speed on the computer and wishing he was back at the garage and all the computer equipment he had there .
At 5.00pm. the alarm on his phone went off . " Ok Ralph stop what you are doing , it is time to go see your mom . "
Ralph looked up . " Ok dad , maybe tomorrow we will be able to find something . "
At 5.45pm. Walter pulled up into the visitors parking space in front of Paige's condo .
Paige was in the kitchen checking on the meal . As she heard the door open , she turned to bassenet . " Daddy's home . "
Megan made a gurgling noise . Walter walked straight to Paige , pulled her into a hug and planted a kiss on to her lips , which she immediatly returned .
Ralph followed into the kitchen and walked up to Megan's bassenet and with a big smile on his face , said to her . " I think mom and dad should get a room . " Causing a big smile to appear on Megan's face .
" Ok you two go get washed up , then Walter you can feed Megan , i have expressed enough milk for a bottle . "
Walter returned ten minutes later , Paige got him to sit on the sofa and bought Megan over to him and gently placed her into Walter's willing arms . A smile broke out on Walter's face as Megan looked up at him , her big brown eyes sparkling as she muttered . Da, Da , again .
Paige went back to the kitchen and retrived a bottle of milk from the insulated tube and bought it over to Walter . Walter took the bottle and positioned Megan so he could feed her . Once he placed the bottle by Megan's mouth she immediatly took the teat in her mouth and began to drink .
Paige again looked surprised . " It must be you , i still cannot get her to take the bottle without three or four attempts . " The smile back on her face again .
Once Megan had finished her bottle , Walter was content to just sit with her in his arms , quietly talking to her about nothing in particular .
Paige carried on with the meal , happy to see the love Walter was sharing with his daughter .
Ralph had stopped in his room to wait for Cabe and Allie to arrive .
Just before 7.00pm. Paige heard a knock on the door , Walter was to interested in talking to Megan to even notice . She left the kitchen and went to open the door , as soon as she saw Cabe and Allie standing there a big smile broke out on her face . She immediatly hugged Cabe and then Allie .
" Someone as parked a big Range Rover in your visitors parking space . Did you know ? " Asked Cabe .
The smile got bigger on Paiges face as she answered . " That's Walter's car . "
Cabe appeared more shocked . " That is some trade up . "
All three walked into the living area , again both Allie and Cabe were amazed at Walter showing such tenderness and love to Megan .
Walter looked up from Megan and with a smile on his face spoke to them . " Good evening Cabe , Allie , it is good to see you again . "
They both returned the greeting .
" Dinner will be ready in about ten minutes , so make yourself comfortable and i will call you in a while . Walter can you put Megan in her bassenet and then go and tell Ralph to come out . "
Walter looked a little disappointed as he got up and walked over to Megan's bassenet . As he placed her in the bassenet , the smile disappeared from her face and she pulled what to Walter appeared to be a grumpy face . He gently rubbed her cheek with his finger and in a very quiet voice . " Be a good little princess , i need to fetch your big brother and then talk to grandad Cabe and grandma Allie .
As he finished speaking , a small smile began to appear on her face and she murmed Da, Da. Which bought the smile back to Walter's face . He then walked over to Ralph's bedroom door and knocked . " Time for dinner , everyone is here now . "
Ralph shouted back . " I am on my way . "
The meal was eaten mainly in silence , everyone was enjoying Paige's cooking , even Allie's vegetarian meal received great praise . Once the meal was completed , Paige , with help from Allie , cleared everything away and loaded the dishwasher .
Walter , Ralph and Cabe went into the living area , were Walter and Ralph told Cabe about the progress , or lack of it , they had made . Walter again complained about the speed of the computer he was having to use and again bemoaned the fact how much he missed the computer system he had at the garage .
Cabe listened without saying anything , once they had finished , he leaned back in the chair and simply asked . " Do you still think you will be able to trace the money that appears to have been sent to Carlson ? "
Both Walter and Ralph said together . " Of Course . "
Cabe just smiled .
Paige and Allie came over from the kitchen to join them . After taking seats , Paige with a big smile on her face asked . " Ok were are the photographs ? "
Allie reached into her bag and pulled out a packet and passed it to Paige . Paige was looking like a child in a candy store as she opened the packet and pulled out eight photographs .
She studied each photo with great care , she did not say a word until she had looked at each one three times . She then passed them to Walter .
" You both look gorgeous and so happy , you make a brilliant bride and groom . " Paige told them her voice full of excitment .
Walter and Ralph were also full of praise for the couple .
Once they had all had a good look at them , Paige replaced them back into the package and handed it back to Allie .
Once Allie had made sure she had put the photographs safely away , she turned to Paige .
" Any chance of looking at some of the jewelery you have found in rhe house ? "
Paige looked at Walter , who just gave a small nod . " Give me a couple of minutes while i fetch the bags ." Paige replied .
Walter leaned over to Allie and in a very quiet voice asked . " Once you have looked at the items , could you ask Paige were she got her interest in jewlery . Also if she had ever thought of designing any . "
Allie looked at him totally confused .
Walter carried on in a quiet voice . " We know she has designed her engagement ring , i need to get a copy so i can get it made before i propose to her . "
Allie's face broke into a big smile . " Yes of course and we will keep your secret . Won't you Cabe ? "
Cabe looked at Walter a big smile on his face . " Of Course . "
As he finished speaking they heard Paige coming back .
" What are you all smiling at ? " She asked as she approached them .
Ralph was quick to answer " Grandma was telling us about some of the Penn and Teller show they saw in Vegas . "
This seemed to satisfy Paige , who settled down next to Walter . She put a cloth , she had bought with her , on top of the coffee table and opened one of the bags and tipped the contents out on the table .
It took them nearly a hour to go through all the items , Paige was in her element explaining various things about the different pieces . Once everything was put away , Allie a smile on her face asked .
" You seem to know a lot about the different pieces , were did you learn so much ? "
Paige returned the smile . " I have always been interested in jewelery ever since my mom gave me a ruby ring before she left on one of her adventures . Anyway having noticed markings on the ring i visited the library to check it out . I got so interested i decided i wanted to design jewelery for a living . Once i was old enough i enrolled in a design course at college . Then Ralph came along , not that i ever regret that , so i had to give up college to look after him . "
Allie again smiled before asking . " Have you ever done any designs , you could possible show us ? "
Paige looked a little surprised . " Well yes but most were thrown away . I do still have one i kept because it was my favourite . "
" Could we see it please ? " Asked Allie in an almost begging voice .
Paige sort of shrugged . " I think i know were it is . If you are sure ? "
Allie gave her , the biggest smile she could . " Oh yes please . "
Paige gave Walter a kiss on his cheek as she got up . " Well if you are sure . "
Paige left the room . Walter again leaned into Allie and whispered . " Thank you . "
It was over ten minutes before Paige returned . A smile on her face with a piece of paper in her hand . She settled down again next to Walter and put the paper down on the table .
Allie picked it up and began looking at it . " Is that a split band under the diamond mount , that goes back into a solid band around the rest of the finger ? "
" Yes it was a design i had thought of as something different , but i would have to talk to someone who is used to making rings to see if it is possible to do . " Paige replied .
" What about the big diamond ? " Allie asked .
" That would be a one carat round diamond cut and it would be surrounded by small cut Rubys . " Paige explained .
" Well i am amazed , i think i would love to see that made up . " Allie told her with a big smile on her face .
Walter suddenly interrupted . " Paige i am sure i just heard Megan cry out . "
Paige looked a little surprised . " I never heard anything . "
" Well i am sure i did , please go and check . "
" Alright just to keep you happy , Da , Da . " Paige said with a big smile on her face as she got up .
Giving Paige just enough time to get to the bedroom , before removing his phone and taking six pictures of the design and then put his phone back .
Paige returned a few minutes later . " She his fast asleep , you must be hearing things . " Paige told him with a big smile on her face . Cabe and Allie stayed another hour , before deciding it was time to leave .
Once they had left , Ralph went to get ready for bed .
Walter got up from the sofa . " It is time i was going , so you can see to Megan before you go to bed . "
Paige's face dropped " My dear Walter , i know we have said we need to take small steps until we have had a few sessions with Ann . She stopped speaking as she reached over and pulled Walter into a hug .
" Do you think we could possibly spend the night together , i just want to go to sleep in your arms and wake up snuggled up next to you also in your arms .
Walter hugged her tighter . " I would like nothing better , but i have no clothes or anything here . "
Paige a smile growing on her face . " You still have all the stuff you left before our little break up . "
" Then it would be my pleasure . " Walter replied as a large smile broke out on his face .

LouBe96 Sorry no trapdoor , Walter and Ralph having problems at the moment due to slow computers , but you can never be sure when it comes to the two geniuses . Well Walter had promised Ralph that building , but considering the size and facilities i am sure Walter will make good use of it as well . Stay tuned .
