Next morning , both Walter and Paige were in deep slumber , still exhausted by the pleasure they had given each other through the past night . Even though it had been over ten months since they experianced the closeness and true love they felt for each other both slid back into their old ways of love makeing.
Paige however had struggled to remain quiet , the more extreme investigation of her body by Walter made silence difficult for her . But she knew that to much noise would awaken the little princess , like the kiss planted on the sleeping beauty's lips .
The low purring of Paige's breathing was gently moving the hair on Walter's naked chest , not that this was making much difference to Walter's sleep .
It was the light cry from the bassenet . " Mo, Mo, Da, Da." that bought them both out of their . deep slumber . Paige was first out of bed , not bothering to cover her sleek shiny body with a robe . Walter was close behind her , his naked toned body , also shiny following the excersion of the night , even though he was no longer doing what he did at Scorpion , Richard had enrolled him ln the gym in the basement of the office block .
Paige reached into the bassenet and gently removed Megan . " Now then little princess , what is the matter ? "
" MO,MO,DA, DA . " She repeated , as she spoke a big smile came on her face .
" I know this is silly , but do you think she knows what we were doing last night ? " Asked a rather perturbed Paige .
A big smile broke out on Walter's face . " Well we seem to think she is a genius , so maybe yes . Who can really begin to explain when a genius's mind really starts to work . "
" You have a point , but i am sure she could not know about things like that . " Answered an even more confused Paige .
" Going back to when you first found out you were pregnant . You suggested at our first meeting , that you had played my voice to your bump , so she would know who i was . Did you by any chance discuss anything about our sexual activities ? "
Paige looked a little sheepish . " Yes when i was really down i would talk to her about some of the things we would get up to and also how she may have been conceived . "
Walter gave a quick side look at Paige . " There you are then , she must have picked up some points from what you said and maybe she sensed something about last night , that struck a chord with her . Or maybe she is just hungry . "
Paige gave him the look , but due to the fact she was cudderling Megan , in her arms , she could not punch Walter on the shoulder .
" You know very well she does not respond to being hungry that way . "
" Then you must have been a good teacher , so good in fact , i don't think we will need to give the talk , when she reaches a certain age . " Walter told her while trying hard not to laugh .
Paige gave him another stare before speaking . " Do you want to change her again , then while i feed her , you can shower . " The smile on her face getting bigger .
" I have a better idea , how about the three of us go back into bed and all three of us have a cuddle ? "
Paige looked at him as a big smile began to spread across her face . " An even better plan . "
The three of them lay together , Megan between the two of them , the other two taking so much care so as not to hurt the little princess in any shape or form . All the while Megan was lying between them , she giggled and constantly repeated , MO,MO, DA,DA.
After about thirty minutes Paige smiled at Walter . " I think we should get up now . I know for certain Ralph will soon be riseing, today is the second best thing to him after us getting back together . "
" Yes i think he his a lot more excited than me when he found out . " Walter explained .
Paige went to fetch the items needed to change Megan . As soon as she returned , Walter began his task a smile on his face , matched by the one on Megan's face . Again all through the process Megan kept giggerling and uttering DA,DA . It only took Walter half the time of his first attempt , the smile grew even bigger on his face as he realized just how quick he had been .
" Well done mister a perfect package again and so quickly as well this time . " Paige said her face full of pride and love .
" Go get your shower and i will feed Megan , then when you come back you can take Megan into the kitchen and start breakfast . If you want to of course . " Paige added with a smirk on her face .
Walter was back out after about twenty minutes . He immediatly went over and picked up Megan's bassenet , walked back to Paige and gave her a kiss on the lips . As he did he heard a light knock on the door , then Ralph's quiet voice .
" Mom, dad can i come in ? "
" Hang on just a sec. I will be with you . " Walter replied .
Paige gave him a cute smile , waggled her naked butt at him and swaggered her way over to the bathroom . As she disappeared into the bathroom , Walter walked over to the bedroom door and opening it slowly to be met by a smiling fully dressed Ralph .
" Morning Ralph , you are up and dressed early . "
" I needed to make sure i did not keep you guys waiting , we need to get over to the garage as soon as possible . " Ralph answered him the smile on his face getting bigger .
" Well we just need to make breakfast . You up to the task ? "
" Of course dad . " Ralph answered in a somewhat condesending voice .
Twenty minutes later breakfast was well underway , a few minutes later Paige came out of the bedroom and walked into the kitchen , her face had a look of thunder on it .
" What's the matter my love , as something happened ? " Asked a concerned Walter .
Paige rushed over to him and pulled him into a tight hug . After a few minutes she looked up at him love in her eyes for him .
" Yes about ten months ago . " She answered . Walter pulled her close and stroked her still damp hair .
" I thought we had agreed that the past is the past and we will only look forward . "
Paige gave a little sniff before answering . " I know all about that and can accept that , but what i cannot and will not accept was your dad's attitude towards you . I said at the time you told me i would be having words , after last night my words came back to me , then while i was in the shower , i kept playing the whole thing through my head . So once we have eaten breakfast i am going to ring them and sort this out . If they still want to take that attitude , the last thing i will tell them is that their new granddaughter Megan Louise will be a lot better off with Cabe and Allie as grandparents and put the phone down . "
Walter and Ralph finished making breakfast , all three sat down to enjoy bacon and scrambled eggs .
Once all was cleaned and put away it was approaching 9.00am. Paige made herself comfortable on the sofa , Walter and Ralph sitting on chairs either side of the sofa .
" Are you sure you want to do this Paige ? " An even more concerned Walter asked .
" Do it , yes and a lot more . " Said a determined Paige .
At that she hit the contact button , after four rings the call was answered .
Louise " Hello my dear it as been a long time since i heard from you .
Paige " Good evening Mrs O'Brian , it as been a long time and to be honest i do not really know why i should have to call you . However after what Mr O'Brian told Walter , which i only found out about recently , i could not let such a bigated man get away with a remark like that . I know Walter can be hard work , but to people he loves , that includes you his parents , he would willing lay his own life down for them .
The many times he has put his life on the line to save members of Scorpion and also for the greater good , the thousands of other people he as done the same thing for . But for Mr. O'Brian , to just say , " After what you have done , you are no longer a son of ours . " then put the phone down on him without actually awaiting for any sort of reason . All we can assume is that Sly , the man you wished was your son , had told some story you were willing to accept for no reason other than if Sly told you it must be correct and the truth . "
Louise had listened in complete silence , the shock on her face and bewilderment prevented her from speaking . After about thirty seconds she wiped the tears from her cheeks and managed to start speaking .
Louise " Why my dear Paige , i do not have any idea what you are talkig about . I have not spoken to anyone from America , for almost twelve months . Sean was in a really perculiar mood about ten months ago , but when i asked him what was the matter he would just mumble nothing . "
Paige " I lost Walter for ten months but by sheer chance i found out were he was working . I was at fault because i walked out on him instead of discussing the situation on a one to one basis , plus my hormones were going wild as it turned out i was nearly three months pregnant . "
Louise " What did you have ? "
Paige " Well we had a little girl , Megan Louise O'Brian Dineen , but if i had known at the time , what i found out later , Louise would certainly not have been her middle name . While we are on the subject of grandchildren , Ralph as said if Walter is not good enough to be your son , he certainly does not think you are good enough to be his grandparents . "
Paige could hear Louise sobbing down the phone but was not prepared to let up on the pressure , because she knew in her own mind any parent in the world would be proud to call such a strong willed , unselfish , loving in his own way man as Walter . Louise managed to speak .
Louise " What about Megan ? "
Paige " Oh no you are getting no more information out of me about Megan . Why would she want grandparents who disowened her father . I think you need to talk to Mr. O'Brian before we even attempt to carry this conversation any further . We will be leaving in about twenty minutes and will not again be available to talk until this time tomorrow , for about the same length of time . "
Before giving Louise time to explain , Paige disconnected the call . She leaned back into the sofa and let out a big sigh of relief .
" Well from that conversation it would seem that maybe Sean took an unilateral decision without any consultation with Louise what so ever . "
" He definatly meant it , there was pure evil and anger in his tone of voice . " Walter replied whose face had taken on a very somber look .
" Could you go and pick up Megan and bring her over to me . Please . " Paige asked in a charming way .
Walter was immediatly off the chair and almost ran over to the bassenet , as soon as he looked at Megan the smile came back on his face .
Paige watched him all the while thinking . "I thought that would bring a smile back on his face"
Ralph had listened intently to the telephone conversation , from his mom's point of view . But also noticed the way Walter reacted to Megan . This bought an even bigger smile to his face .
Thirty minutes later , Paige with Megan , made her way to the Malibu house . Walter and Ralph going over to the garage .
The O'Brian farm Callen .
Louise just sat there , even though Paige had disconnected the call , she clung on to the phone as if her life depended on it. Tears were still streaming down her cheeks , the look on her face , one of total despair .
A hour later Louise was still in the same position , so hard she had been clutching the phone the knuckles of her hand were white , tears were still running down her cheeks . So lost in her own grief she did not hear Sean come in from his farming work .
" Are you alright daor bhean " (dear wife. ) Sean asked as he approached the back of the chair Louise was sitting on . The closer he got he noticed Louise's shoulders were going up and down .
Louise jumped as Sean spoke . Through gritted teeth she replied . " Am i alright ? How could i be after a conversation i have just had with Paige . "
Sean looked perplexed . " Why would Paige want to speak to you , after what Walter did to her ? "
Louise stood up and turned to Sean a look of sheer disgust on her face . " Just what did Walter actually do to her ? Plus how do you know and i do not ? " Her voice , she was struggerling to keep from shouting at Sean .
" Sly phoned me about ten months ago and told me Walter had an affair with Florence , Sly's girlfriend , everyone backed Sly and they all walked out on Walter and set up their own company . "
" Then when Walter phoned a couple of weeks later . What did you do ? " Louise's face was red with anger .
Sean noticed the change in Louise's attitude and took a step back . . He took a deep breath and held a hand up as a sign of defeat . " I told him after what he had done , he was no longer a son of ours . " By now Sean had a very sheepish look on his face .
Louise turned away from him and collapsed into her chair . Without looking at him she quitely said . " What have you done , Tu dur mor dur eireanmach ? " ( You big stupid Irishman . )
Sean knew he was in trouble , the only time Louise spoke Gaelic to him was when she was really mad at him . Sean took advantage of a moments silence , as Louise gave him what could only be described as a death stare .
Once he had sat down on the chair , he took in a deep breath and while looking anywhere but at Louise he said nothing for a few minutes , the glare was still on her face .
Louise was first to speak . " Did you bother to check out the story with Walter , or just accept what your favourite son had said ? "
All Sean could do was to shake his head .
Louise let out a big sigh . " I take it from that you did not . "
Sean again shook his head .
" Well Paige told me she was to blame for the breakup as the problem should have been discussed on a one to one basis and not shouted out across the garage . Plus her hormones were al over the place as she was , although she did not know , three months pregnant .. "
Sean looked up from the floor , a look of shock on his face . " Pregnant what did she have ? "
" A beautiful little girl , Megan Louise . But Paige will not tell me anymore until you apologize to both of them . " Louise told him .
Sean was still looking a little sheepish . " Why would i apologize , when Sly told me Walter was to blame ? "
Louise's face again began to redden . " Why are you such a stubbon fool . I have told you , Paige said the walkout was her fault . I have already told you Walter and Paige are back together , but as things stand at this time , they do not want anything to do with us . Ralph as said if Walter is not good enough to be our son , we are not good enough to be his grandparents . We will also never be allowed to meet Megan Louise . "
Sean was still not prepared to accept the fact that Walter was not really to blame . His face began to redden as his temper again began to rise . " They have no right to keep our grandchildren away from us it is against our human rights . " He shouted at Louise .
Louise remained calm and very quietly replied . " You have until 5.00pm. tomorrow to sort your head out , if you cannot realize that Sly twisted the complete story to put him in the position of victim and are not prepared to realize Walter is actually the victim , plus Paige to a certain extent . You can apologize to Walter and Paige , or you can prepare to live on your own for a time , because i intend to pack a couple of suitcases , get a visitors visa and a one way ticket to L.A. Once there i will do everything in my power to try and get back with my American family . I will beg , plead , go down on my knees or whatever it takes . "
Sean gave her a look , then grunted . " I'll see . "
At that he walked away to go upstairs to shower and change into clean clothes .
Louise watched him walkup the stairs , then turned and made her way to the kitchen to prepare the evening meal . All the time she was peparing the meal her mind was going over a plan to get back into Walter and Paige's life .
Walter's Malibu House .
Once Paige had taken everything into the house , Megan was being very vocal , as if she wanted something .
" Hello little princess , why are you so noisey today ? " Paige said to Megan , a big smile on her face .
Megan's face broke out into a big smile at the sound of Paige's voice and she uttered Mo, Mo .
" You are certainly full of beans today , i don't suppose you will let me get on with much work today . How about we go take a look at the wilderness outside at the rear . We will need to go out the front door and through the gate as i do not have keys for the back door . " Paige explained to Megan , all the while the smiles on both their faces growing bigger .
Paige gently picked Megan out of her bassenet and then made sure she was safe in her arms , before going out the front door .
At The Garage
As soon as Walter opened the door and cancelled the alarm , Ralph went past him and began running all around the garage all the time yelling . " Yes . " .
Walter watched with pride at Ralph who was in his favourite place . Walter allowed him five minutes of madness before calling him . " Ok Ralph , that is enough exercise for now , we need to get to work on the computers so we can try and sort our little problem with Carlson ."
" Ok dad , i was just so excited to be back in the garage . It still seems as exciting as before Scorpion collasped . " Ralph replied as he approached Walter .
For the first two hours , Walter and Ralph checked then double checked all the computer equipment . As it had not been used for almost twelve months , there were a few loose connections that needed tightening and four solder joints Walter had incorperated in the system needed some work on them .
Once both Walter and Ralph were happy with the system , Walter took the risk and started up the system , it took a little longer for the system to boot up to it's full extent , a problem Walter had expected .
Ralph had the job of tracing the payments for all the local and goverment taxes that had been paid since the death of the Squires . He was a little disappointed as it did not include any computer work , he knew as he had found the first lead , it was now his responsiblty to follow it through .
Once the computer was ready , Walter's fingers started to fly over the keyboard . Within minutes he was as far into the trace as it had taken him two days on the small computer he had been using .
A hour later he shouted . " I am into the account . "
Ralph ran across to him , a beaming smile on his face . " Well done dad , can you prove the Carlson connection ? "
Walter a big smile on his face replied . " I am certain now i have got into the account that it is possible. "
As he finished speaking they both heard a knock on the garage door . Walter looked at Ralph who just shrugged his shoulders . Walter got up from his desk and made his way to the door , as he opened the door , the smile on his face broke into a big grin , as he saw Paige standing there , Megan , in her bassenet , in one hand and a bag of Kovelsky's food in the other .

Grykon . Paige found out she was pregnant just after the walkout , so she was not in a depressed mood , so she had no reason to even think about swollowing a handfull of pills . Even after leaving CP she found work , but at six months she was basically house bound . look forward to the new story . Pleased you are not wasting away
LouBe96 I think Paige is pleased Walter as become an expert at diaper changing and is only to happy to share the task . yes the little princess did save the day , even before she was born . I hope Paige will not be to upset by the small alteration s Jackie is making to the ring . You will have read about Ralph's reaction as soon as the garage door was opened . Crime scene hopefully not for much longer .
