Next day at 6.10am. Cabe's front door opened and two ambulance men with a trolly stretcher between them came out . They were followed by Allie who appeared distressed , a handkerchief in one hand which she used to wipe her eyes . She stopped to shut and lock the front door , before running to catch up with Cabe . Once beside him she put her hand on his arm , which she felt under the green blanket that was covering him .
" You are going to be alright once you get to hospital . If you had listened to me last night , you would not be in this situation . But no you had to order clams , because you know better , you big idiot , but i still love you ."
By the time Allie had finished speaking they had arrived at the back of the ambulance . Before they could push the stretcher into the ambulance , Allie bent over and kissed Cabe on the lips .
" I will follow you in the car and see you at the hospital . "
With that the ambulance men pushed the stretcher into the back of the ambulance , one of the men stayed in the back with Cabe .The other one came out closed the rear doors , then walked round the vehicle and got in the cab and drove off , closely followed by Allie in her car .
This whole charade was Walter's idea , just in case Cabe's house was under surveillance .
Once at the hospital Cabe was taken to E.R. and put in a cubicle , were he was visited by two doctors , who had been selected by Katherine , they connected him up to an I.V. bag containing nothing but saline .
After about fifteen minutes one of the doctors pushed Cabe out of the cubicle and took him to a side room , with an isolation sign on the door . Cabe got off the trolly and climbed into bed .
" You will be left alone most of the time , at meal times a trusted member of staff will bring your food . She will be dressed in P.P.E. to give the expression you could be contagious . " The doctor explained .
" Thank you doctor , is my wife here yet ? " Cabe replied .
" I will check if she is , i will send her in , after we have fitted her out in P.P.E. "
At that the doctor left Cabe's room . Ten minutes later Allie walked into Cabe's room , wearing full P.P.E. , which bought a smile to Cabe's face . At 8.00am Allie phoned the head of the Stats office at Homeland , to explain Cabe would not be in for a few days . As he was in hospital with food poisoning from eating clams . After that she phoned her own place of work to say that she would not be in work today as she was with her husband at the hospital .

Just as Cabe was being put in the back of the ambulance , Walter was woken up by Megans , gurgerling and shouting Da, Da . As usual Paige had her arm drapped over his chest , he gently removed her arm , but even the slight movement caused Paige to stir .
With a sleepy voice she asked . " Is it really time to get up ? "
Walter with a smile on his said . " Our little princess seems to think it is . Let me go fetch her and put her between for another thirty minutes . "
The only answer he got from Paige was a " Hmmmm . "
Walter got out of bed and walked over to Megan's cot , he gently removed Megan who's face lit up with a big smile and uttered Da, Da. " Ok little princess , you can come and lie between mommy and daddy for a while . "
This time Megan uttered Da, Da , Mo, Mo.
Walter dropped Ralph off at school , made his way to his place of work . Just as he reached his desk , his burner phone rang .
" Good morning Katherine . "
" Good morning Walter , stage one of the plan as been actioned . " She then immediatly put the phone down .
Walter smiled and thought . She is really treating this as an undercover operation .
Most of the morning he spent working on his hoist design , which he had been neglecting over the past week . Lunch time came and he hurried out to the carpark . Paige as usual was waiting by the car . After hugging Paige and giving her a kiss on the lips , he made his way to the back of the car to check on Megan , who greeted him with Da,Da and a big smile on her face .
Megan spent most of the lunch hour in daddy's arms . Paige explained to Walter she had been checking on some of the art work . Some of the work by one particular artist had been sold at auction for $10,000 plus each , so Paige suggested they take them to be appraised .
Another artist's work had also sold at auction for $5,000 plus , again she suggested they should also have them appraised .
Walter suggested once the Carlson problem had been resolved , they could then really concentrate on the house and it's contents . The art work would be Paige's responsabilty to deal with , what she wanted to keep and what to get rid of . Paige was surprised and questioned that the contents of the house belonged to him . Walter just told her , as far as he was concerned eveything was joint property . Art work was her thing so she should have the job .
She had wanted to throw her arms around him but as he was holding Megan , she just gave him a big smile and a . " Thank you . "
Walter spent the afternoon still working on the revised hoist plans , just before 5.00pm. he was satisfied with the new design . He put it all away in his desk drawer and left the office .
After they had finished the evening meal and cleared everything away , the little family of three sat on the sofa , Ralph and Paige either side of Walter .
" I know you said to wait until the Carlson problem is solved , but i would like to show you some of the research i have done today . " Paige said as she gave Walter her puppy dog eyes look . He never stands a chance when she looks at him like that .
" Ok then , you know i cannot refuse you anything when you look at me like that . "
Paige got up from the sofa and went and fetched paperwork she had printed off the computer . She handed the paperwork to Walter , as he looked though it Paige explained which were the paintings by the artist who had work auctioned off at over $10,000 ans $5,000 .
" Well I did say these would be your responsibilty , so you tell me what you think you would want to keep and which we should try and sell . "
This time Paige was able to throw her arms around Walter and placed a kiss on his lips .
" That is what i wanted to do in the car at lunch time , but as you had Megan in your arms , i could not risk it . "
Walter returned the kiss , which they broke when they heard Ralph say . " Get a room . "
All three began laughing .

Next morning after dropping Ralph off at school , he was at his desk at 8.30am. His office phone rang , it was Susan asking him to go to Richard's office . A few minutes later he was knocking on Richard's door , before entering .
" Morning Richard. "
" Morning Walter , i thought you would like to be here when everyone arrives . My driver as phoned to say the agents would be at the office just before 9.00am. I presume Katherine as picked up Cabe from the hospital , but as she is following your instructions to the letter , she is not using her phone . "
As Richard finished speaking , his internal phone rang . " Yes Susan _ Ok , ask them to come in . "
They heard a knock on the door . " Come in . "
The door opened and in walked Katherine and followed by a smiling Cabe , dressed in a dark grey suit , a brilliant white shirt and a pale blue tie , all that had been chosen by Allie and delivered to the hospital .
" Morning Richard, Walter . " Katherine said ,
" Morning Richard " Cabe said as he walked across to Walter and shook his hand . " Good to see you again son . "
A smiling Walter simply said . " It is good to see you have recovered . "
" Good morning to both of you , please take a seat . Once the Washington agents arrive , we will move to one of the smaller conference rooms , so everyone can be comfortable . I have already arranged for coffee and snacks to be delivered there for 9.30am. "
They all sat around generally talking , Cabe was interested in how well Walter was getting on working for Richard .
Richard gave a small smile before answering . " I wish he had come to me when i first asked him . His skills are unique and his brain power impossible to describe , which is why i was prepared to offer him such a good contract . "
" He is certainly one of a kind . " Replied Cabe .
Walter his face never changing . " Not quite , Ralph will soon be my equal or even better . " His voice full of pride
As he finished speaking Richard's internal phone rang . " Hello - Ok Susan send them in . " He put the phone down and turned to Walter and Katherine .. " The Agents from Washington have arrived . "
The first Agent through the door , bought a small smile to Richard's face . " Scott i did not expect you here . "
Scott walked up to Richard's desk and shook his hand . " I was not going to miss this one , it seems to me this could be one of the biggest internal crimes that as ever occured in Homeland . "
" Well just let me introduce , Katherine Cooper , Walter O'Brian and also Agent Cabe Gallo . "
Scott looked a little perturbedat being introduced to a L.A Agent , before he could say anything, Katherine spoke up . " Cabe is the only person i know i can trust at Homeland . He was assigned to Scorpion , Walter's company . He also is keen to see Carlson bought to justice . Once Scorpion finished Carlson sent Cabe to the stats department . "
" Ouch ! That would hurt , pleased to meet you Agent Gallo . "
" My pleasure sir . " Cabe replied .
Scott looked at Katherine , before speaking . " Ok , I have met your team , i think i should introduce you to my team . Agents Smith , Thomas , Walker , Thompson , Mckay , Pearson and McKenzie . Do not worry about remembering names for now , you will soon get to know them . "
Richard a small smile on his face . " Now we have all been introduced , let me take you to one of our conferance rooms , were everyone will be able to sit down .
Once they were all seated around a large table in the conferance room . Richard contacted the kitchen , five minutes later two kitchen staff arrived with two trays , containing two large coffee pots , cream and sugar , cups and a selection of snacks . They put both trays on the table .
" Thank you . " Richard said as they turned to leave the room . Once the two kitchen staff left the room he began talking again .
" Scott i hope you do not mind me opening this meeting , but in a way i feel responsible for you all being here . You have all been introduced to Walter O'Brian , but what you probably do not know is that he as an I.Q. of 197 which at present is the fifth highest in the world .
He now works for me but for four years he and his team were contracters to Homeland . So he can be completely trusted and i know he has the full backing of Katherine and Cabe . "
Both Katherine and Cabe , nodded in agreement .
Scott was next to speak . " Thank you Richard . Thanks to Walter and his son some very disturbing information as come to light concerning Agent Carlson who just happens to be the Director of Homeland's L.A . Office . "
The seven Agents all made a "WOW " sound at the information .
Scott waited a moment before continuing . " I will ask Walter to go over all the details that have been found already . He as explained to me , over the phone , but i am sure not all the details have gone into my mind . Walter would you be happy to explain everything to the team . "
A smile came on Walter's face . " Of course , but would you mind if i got a cup of coffee first . "
Katherine immediatly stood up and poured a cup of coffee for him . Cream and sugar ? "
Walter shook his head . " Just black please . "
Katherine passed the cup to Walter who took a drink and began to explain the full story from the Sunday they had discovered the secret rooms . When he reached the point about Ralph finding the payments being made to Carlson , Agent Smith put his hand up to interrupt .
" There must have been password protection on the computer . So how did your son manage to bypass them ? "
Cabe spoke up before Walter could answer . " I first met Walter , when i arrested him at his home in Callen Ireland , he was just nine years old . His crime , breaking into NASA's computers to get a blueprint of a space shuttle for his bedroom wall . Ralph is as good if not better than Walter with computers . "
Walter nodded his thanks to Cabe .
" I hope that satisfies you Agent Smith ? "
Agent Smith gave a small laugh . " I guess it does , he must be one hell of a son . "
Walter his face full of pride just said . " He certainly his . "
Walter carried on explaining what had happened after Cabe had called Katherine to the house . It took him almost thirty minutes to go over everything that they had done and found . He was on his third cup of coffee by the time he had finished .
Scott thanked Walter for the information and began to explain the plan , fot taking down Carlson .
First he asked Walter if he could take two of his Agents to his house to check out the weapons .
Walter agreed , but insisted on phoning Paige to see if she was at the house .
She answered on the second ring . " Hello my handsome man . "
" Hello , i am in a meeting with Richard , Katherine , Cabe and all the Agents from Washington . " Walter told her .
" Ok, professional speech only . " She told him with a laugh in her voice .
" Are you at the house today ? "
" Yes i came over to start checking on the art upstairs . Why ? "
" I will be bringing two Agents over to check out the weapons . I was wondering if you could show them the list of clients of the Squires that you found . "
" Ok , when can i expect you , i will put some coffee on for when you arrive . " Paige told him .
" About a hour . "
Paige blew a kiss down the phone to Walter . " See you soon . " then put the phone down .
" Yes Paige is there , so she can show you some paperwork she found in connection to Squires arms business . " Walter explained .
" Good i will assign Agents Thomas and Walker to you . Will you be able to provide the transport ? " Scott asked Walter .
" Certainly my car is in the carpark . " Walter replied .
" Ok the rest of us will go to the L.A. office . Richard i presume your two cars will be at our disposal ? " Scott asked .
" Of course , for as long as you require them . " Richard told him .
Scott looked at Katherine , his face not giving any clue to what he was thinking . " Katherine how many exits are there at the L.A. office ? "
Katherine took a few seconds before answering . " There is a total of four , a double door exit at the reception area , one side entrance and one fire exit at the rear . There is one more , but i would be surprised if anyone would try to use it . " Katherine explained .
Scott still looked concerned and asked . " Where . "
Katherine a half smile on her face . " Ok, it is the stairs to the roof , but once up there the only way out is back down the stairs . "
" We will still need to cover it just in case . " Scott told her .
Katherine just shrugged her shoulders , Scott gave her a small smile .
" Before we leave i will allocate each of my agents their primary jobs . Agent Smith you will wait in the reception area . Should Carlson run , he is not to be allowed to go through the doors . Agent Thompson you will position yourself at the side door , same instructions . Agent Mckay you will cover the rear fire exit . Agent Pearson , the stairs to the roof . All your jobs are to stop Carlson using any of the exits , anyway you have to including reasonable force . Agent Gallo , could you please show the agents to their positions , once they are all in place , please join Katherine , Agent Mckenize and myself in Carlson's office . "
Cabe a smile spreading on his face . " Yes Sir . "
At that Scott called the meeting to an end .
Walter took Agent Thomas and Agent Walker to his office , so he could collect his car keys . Katherine and Cabe made their way to Katherine's car , the other agents to the two cars they arrived in .
Walter's Malibu House .
Fourty minutes after leaving the meeting Walter was pulling into his drive . Paige had opened the front door , before Walter was out of the car .
Both Agents Thomas and Walker eyes were wide open , just at the outside of the house and secondly at the beautiful woman standing at the door . Niether of the Agents could speak .
" Come on and i will introduce you to my partner Paige . " Walter told them as he opened the car door .
As soon as Walter stepped out the car , Paige ran down the drive and pulled him into a hug and planted a kiss on his lips .
Agents Thomas and Walker eventually came out of their state of shock and got out of the car and began walking up the drive towards Walter and Paige . Paige broke the hug and Walter turned to the two Agents .
" Agents Thomas and Walker , i would like you to meet Ms Paige Dineen , my partner and mom to Ralph and our little princess Megan . "
Both Agents Thomas and Walker spoke together . " Pleased to meet you Ms Dineen . "
Paige gave them one of her cute smiles . " Please call me Paige , follow us then we can show you what you have come for . "
At that with her arm around Walter's waist turned and began walking back to the door .
Walter leaned over and quietly asked . " Were is Megan ? "
" Asleep in the kitchen . " Paige replied .
Walter smiled at her . " Then it is , kitchen first stop . "
As the four of them walked into the kitchen , as if it was planned Megan could be heard crying out Da,Da,Da,Da . Walter released Paige and made his way to the bassenet on the counter . He reached in and gently removed Megan , a big smile appeared on her face and she uttered another Da, Da .
Agent Walker turned to Paige . " How old is she?. "
A Proud Paige smiled and said . " Almost four months . "
" But she knew he was here , before Walter got near enough for her to hear him , then she called him Da, Da. "
" Well we think she is going to be a genius like her brother . "
All that Agent Walker could manage was , " Amazing ! "
Walter cradled Megan safely in his arms . " Ok, lets show you what you have come to see . You come to Paige , then you can show them the papers you found . "
Paige smiled before answering . " What do you expect Megan to do ? "
Waler's smile got bigger and simply said . " She is in my protection now ."
With that , Paige by his side he led everyone to the two secret rooms . Both Agents on seeing the display room came to the same conclusion as both Katherine and Cabe had . But once Walter yet again explained his theory they also agreed with him .
However once they were shown the boxes in the upstairs room , they began to act like Homeland Agents . Agent Thomas after checking the serial numbers on a few of the rifles , made a phone call to his H.Q. . Within ten minutes he received a phone call back , once he had completed the call he spoke to the others .
" It would appear , from the serial numbers i gave them , they were part of a consignment sent to Fort Cavazos in Texas about seven years ago . They are getting people down there to check records , to see if they were ever issued , or if they could have been misappropriated . However due to the length of time that as passed it could take some time to sort out . Once the situation at the L.A Office is sorted ,we will be able to arrange collection of them . "
" As far as we are concerned , the sooner the better . Then we can all move in together ." Paige said as she clung to Walter's arm .
Agent Thomas gave her a small nod of his head . " We will try and get them removed as soon as possible . All the paperwork you have found we will have that removed at the same time and it can be worked on at the L.A. Office . I am sure you will be able to advise , the agents who will be responsible for checking the paperwork , all that you have discovered . "
Paige smiled at him and said , " With pleasure . "
Walter Then asked about the computers .
Agent Thomas again answered . " I think the same with them , let the L.A. Office deal with them . But they may need some guidance with the passwords .
Walter gave a small smile . " Of course . Maybe now you would like to check the large building outside in the garden . There is another computer in there with a lot of details on , again password protected . "
Agent Thomas gave a small laugh . " Let me guess , Rallph broke those codes as well . "
Walter just nodded .
Paige butted in . " There is coffee , freshly made downstairs if you would like a cup before you go out into the garden . "
Walter was always happy to drink coffee , the two Agents were keen to get on with the job . But they knew , at present , were more like guests in Walter's home so they agreed . Once back in the kitchen , Walter gently put Megan back into her bassenet , immediatly the smile vanished from her face . Walter looked at her the smile still on his face .
" It is alright princess , daddy is just going to have a cup of coffee . " The smile began to reappear on Megan's face as she uttered Da,Da.
Paige poured four cups of coffee and put creamer and sugar on the counter so people could help themselves .
Once all had finished their coffees , Walter suggested they visit the building in the garden . Paige asked if she could go as she had yet to see inside the building . As usual Walter could not resist any request from Paige , but he had asked if she could carry Megan . Paige went over to Megan and gently picked her up , she was greeted with a smile and a Mo,Mo. "
Agent Walker watched Paige as she had picked up Megan up again all he could say was . "Amazing . "
A few minutes later Walter was opening the door to the building . Walter went in first followed by the two Agents and Paige holding Megan . Walter showed the two Agents the lockers and three D printer .
Paige was walking around the building quietly describing everything that was there , a smile never leaving Megan's face .
Both Agents told Walter the same that the building would be included in the review of the Phoenix case .
After spending about ten minutes checking items in the building , they all made their way back to the house .
Paige offered them more coffee but they declined . They were both keen to get to the L.A. Office , Walter said he would take them , but would not be going in . Both Agents were more than happy with that arrangement .
Walter checked on Megan and gave Paige a hug and kiss .
" I will come back here once i drop the Agents off at the L.A. Office , so we can have .lunch together . "

Around the same time Walter was pulling on to his drive , Katherine followed by Richard's cars were pulling into the underground car park of the L.A. Headquarters of Homeland . Once they were all out of the cars , they formed into two groups , Cabe with the four Agents who would be protecting the exits . The other Katherine , Scott and Agent McKenzie who would be going to Carlson's office on the fifth floor . The groups took seperate elevators .
