"That's good, isn't it? Don't you want him to make something of his life, Prowl? I know that if he were my son, I'd want him to make something of his life."

"I do too, Wolf. I just wasn't expecting him to want to be a medic like Ratchet and Sunstreaker. I wanted him to be a police officer like me, but I'm glad he wants to be a medic, too."

Chris walked out front to see what his father wanted after he was done studying his medical book.

Chris noticed his dad was using his holoform and was talking to someone. He walked up to his father and tapped him on the shoulder. "You wanted to see me, dad?"

Prowl turned to face his son, Chris. "Yes, I do. I'd like you to meet Wolf. She was Sunstreaker and Sideswipes' sister. Wolf, I'd like you to meet my son, Christopher Prowler." I turned to face Prowl's son.

"Hello Christopher. Its nice to meet you." Then I extended my hand out to him. He shook it. "Please, call me Chris." Then he turned toward his dad. "That goes for you, too, dad. I want to be called Chris from now on. Ok?"

Prowl smiled. "If that's what you want, then I respect your wish, Chris. I would also like Wolf to be your new guardian. If that's ok with you, Wolf?" Prowl looked at me.

"I'd be honored to be his guardian, Prowl. I know my brothers would want me to, as well. But is your son ok with me being his new guardian?"

Prowl looked at Chris. "Are you ok with her being your new guardian, son?"

Chris smiled at his father. "Yeah, I am. I miss them so much, dad. They treated me like I was their little brother. Sunny showed me how to sculpt and paint. In fact, I have something for you in my room. I had gotten some help from Sunny."

I knew I had to get inside so I wouldn't disrupt the moment. "I'm glad to be your new guardian, Chris. I may not be like Sunny and teach you to paint or sculpt and I'm not like Sides and get you in trouble by pulling pranks, but I can teach you something that's more useful out in the world. I had studied martial arts while I was growing up on Mars. I'd like to teach you that, but only if your father is ok with it." I looked at Prowl for an answer.

"Let me think about it, Wolf. I do like the idea of Chris being able to protect himself when I'm not able to. I'll give you my answer by tomorrow morning."

"Cool. Then I look forward to your answer in the morning. Have a good rest of the day."

As I was walking back inside HQ, I heard a very familiar voice. 'It can't be him! He's dead!' I walked further inside and was still hearing that familiar voice. 'I must be hearing things!' I decided to call my dad to see about setting up an appt with Smokescreen for me.

"Yes Wolf. What do you need?"

"You're not real busy are you? I need to talk to you about something."

"You caught me at a good time. I just finished my final report for the day before you called. Meet me in the Rec. Room for a drink and we'll talk."

"I kinda need to talk to you privately, dad. The Rec. Room is too open."

"I understand. Have you eaten anything today?"

"Not yet, why?"

"Go get something to eat, then come by my room."

"Which one? Autobot or holoform room?"

"Which one have I been using lately, Wolf?"

"Ok, ok. I get it. Give me 30 min. I'll be there after I eat, unless you want something to eat, dad? Have you eaten today?"

Silence.

"That's what I thought. I'm coming to get you. We'll eat together then we'll talk in your room. Deal?"

"Deal. I'll see you shortly."

I ended the call and put my cell away. I had a huge grin on my face. He knew he wouldn't win that argument. I knew he hadn't eaten today. I headed for his other office with a smug look on my face.

While on my way to his other office, I walked right into my son, Vince.

"I am so sorry, Vince. I didn't mean to walk right into you. I was on my way to get your father and drag him down to the Rec. Room for lunch. Did you wanna join us?"

"Can I get a rain check on lunch, mom? Prowl called me. He wants me to meet his son, Chris."

"Yeah, no problem. If you 2 go anywhere, please be careful out there, ok."

"We will, mom. How you been holding up since Throttle was laid to rest?"

"I'm managing. I have your father helping me through it. By chance, have you heard any strange voices around here? I could have sworn I heard Throttle's voice no more than 20 min. ago."

"Now that you mention it, I have heard his voice around here. It sounded like it was coming from the Human part of the Rec. Room."

"I'm thinking maybe Vinnie is showing his sister some old footage of their battles with Limburger. If that's not it, then I'm really losing it and I need to be committed."

"Don't be silly, mom. You're not losing it. Before Wheeljack died, he told me he was working on something for you."

I rubbed my chin in thought. "I don't remember asking him to do anything for me. That's odd."

"He never told you cause it was meant to be a surprise, but since you've already heard his voice, I guess its no longer a surprise."

I looked at my son oddly. "What are you talking about, Vince?"

"You'll have to wait 'til you go to the Rec. Room, won't you? I'll see ya later, mom."

My son left me standing in the hallway, totally confused. I shrugged it off a few min. later, then headed for my dad's Human office. I needed to grab him for lunch, then talk.

"I still can't believe you're back, bro! It seems like its all a dream, but I'm wide awake. Please explain how this is possible?"

"A while back, I had Wheeljack take some blood from me to see if I had any diseases that might have been passed down from my father or mom. Good thing there wasn't. I just didn't think he would do this." Throttle roved his hands down the front of his body to emphasize his point.

"Wolf is going to be surprised when she sees you. It is so good to see you again, Throttle! Charley and Modo named their baby after his nephew, Rimfire. He's adorable!"

I got about halfway, when I walked right into him. "I was suppose to come get you, not you walking halfway to me. There's a slight change in plans today."

"Oh? What kind of change?"

"I thought we could go out for lunch today. And we also need to talk about our future together, that is, if we even have one together."

"I told you to take all the time you needed to think about that."

"I did take all the time I needed to think about it. I want to spend my life with you as your wife, not your daughter. That's why I needed to talk to you. Can we talk first, then go out for lunch?"
