A/N: I don't usually put authors notes at the top of a chapter but I felt the need to give warning that Little One reveals she was sexually assaulted by The Man. I don't go into detail and glossed over it as best I could. The girls have to explain to Little One what sexual assault is. If you want to skip over that section, it happens while Rose is helping Little One, get cleaned up. I've also put a marker when that scene begins and ends.
Who was this strange man and why did I feel so safe with him? I know his name is Jasper but I didn't know anything else about him. All I know is that while I sat wrapped in his arms, I felt more secure and safe than I have ever felt. When I started making the purring sound it shocked me because I've never made that sound before and I had never heard it from The Man. Lifting my head from Jasper's chest I looked at his perfect face and he turned a little to look into my eyes. Why was sitting silently looking into his eyes and him into mine so wonderful?
Breaking eye contact I rested my head on Jasper's shoulder and started the purring sound again. My face was almost up against Jasper's neck when I noticed the marks that were all over his skin. I had the strongest desire to touch the marks so I reached up and traced my finger over them lightly. Jasper started making the same purring noise as I had and that made me very happy. Wanting to keep making Jasper happy I leaned closer and licked his neck before kissing each mark that I could reach.
When Irina reached out and placed her hand on Jasper's shoulder to get his attention, I was instantly out of Jaspers lap crouching in between him and Irina hissing at her. When she backed away slowly and remained on the other side of the room, I realised what I had done.
"Irina I'm so sorry. I don't know why I did that. I'm sorry, I'm sorry please don't hate me." I started sobbing and curled up into a ball on the floor.
Jasper pulled me back into his lap and started to run his hand along my back gently. Irina walked over to us slowly and crouched in front of us reaching out and running her hand along my arm.
"Shhh, it's ok Little One. What you did was completely normal. It's hard to explain but when one of our kind finds the person who is perfect for us, the person who will care, protect, and love us better than anyone else we will sometimes become extremely protective of them in return. When I touched Jaspers shoulder your instinct saw that as a threat and you went into protection mode. When you licked and kissed Jasper that was your instinct again marking him to warn others that he belongs to you. We call the one who is perfect for us our mate. They will love and protect you and you alone for the rest of their lives." Irina explained.
"Is that right Jasper? Are you, my mate?"
"That's right Little One. I am and will always be your mate and you are mine." Jasper reassured.
"The Man said he cared about me and wouldn't ever leave me but he did. Will you get tired of me and leave me someday too?"
"No. That isn't possible. Mates can't be away from each other for too long. If they do a pain starts and will only get worse until we are back with our mate. So I can't and won't ever leave you and you will be the same with me. I'm yours forever Little One." Jasper told me.
"I like that. To have someone who is mine and won't leave me makes me happy." I said as I placed my head onto Jasper's shoulder again and started making the purring sound.
"Jasper what's with the purring sound I keep making? You did it too when I touched the marks on your neck. What are those marks?" I asked curiously.
"The purring is something we only do with our mate. It happens when were happy and feel safe and comfortable. The marks are made by others of our kind. If we get into a fight and one of us is bitten by someone like us it leaves the mark called a scar."
I was instantly crouched again looking around the room wildly. I felt the red haze slipping over my eyes.
"SOMEONE HURT YOU?! WHO HURT YOU? WHERE ARE THEY?" I kept looking around wildly searching for the one who hurt my mate. The angrier I got the more the red haze slipped down. Suddenly a flowerpot flew across the room and shattered against the door.
Jasper wrapped me up in his arms and made the soothing shushing sound.
"It's ok Little One. They're long gone. I've been trained to fight and am good at protecting myself and others. I ended the ones responsible shortly after every fight."
"Good. I hope you hurt them badly."
"I did Little One. Hey, I had a fun thought why don't we think of a name for you to make things easier and we don't keep calling you Little One." Jasper suggested.
"You want to think of a name title for me? Ok, I know a name title that I like the sound of. Renee the person I helped on the way here said I should use the same name title that her little girl used before she was lost."
"That's wonderful. What name would you like to use?" Irina asked.
"It's Bella. I think it sounds pretty."
"That's a beautiful name Bella. It's perfect for you. Sometimes people have a second name to make it even easier to be identified, it's called a surname. Would you like to think of one of those too?" Jasper suggested.
"What's yours Jasper? Do you have one?"
"I do Bella. Its Whitlock. Peter, Charlotte, Emmett, and Rosalie all have the surname Whitlock too. Eleazar, Carmen, Tanya, Kate, and Irina all have the surname Denali."
"Can I be a Whitlock too? I want to have the same name as you." I asked as Jasper started purring.
"Nothing would make me happier Bella. Congratulations Bella Whitlock you have a new name." Jasper said as he leaned down and started to lick my neck while purring.
I started giggling because the lick made my skin feel funny in a good way. Irina left the room quietly leaving Jasper and I alone together. I liked the idea of being alone with Jasper very much.
"Jasper, Irina said she'll always protect me. Will she still protect me even though I have you, my mate? How do I know who to trust and who not to trust?"
"Bella, I have a special gift that that allows me to know what someone is feeling and I can send feelings to people too."
"Do I have a special gift? Is it like yours?"
"Eleazar has a gift that he can tell if someone has a gift by looking at them. He said you're special and have more than one gift."
"Really?! What can I do?" I asked excitedly.
"You have a shield that protects your mind and one that protects your body. The other gift is telekinesis which means you can move things with your mind."
"But I can't do any of those things. Am I broken?"
"No Bella you aren't broken. Because of what's happened to you the gifts are blocked. Eleazar believes that once you know what's happened to you and you have learned new things that your gifts won't be blocked anymore and when that happens, we can practise with your gifts to make them stronger. I believe that your gifts are also affected by your emotions. When you got angry before you made the flower vase fly across the room and shatter against the door."
"That was me? That's wonderful. I need to start learning!" I said before jumping up and walking towards the door.
Jasper laughed and stood up walking with me to the door. When we walked out into the hall, I was a step behind Jasper, I slipped my hand into his and felt him give my hand a gentle squeeze which made me happy.
We walked downstairs and found everybody sitting around talking quietly. Jasper sat down on the puffy chair and I thought about sitting next to him but decided I liked the idea of sitting on his lap more. After I made myself comfortable on Jasper's lap Peter walked over and handed me a book.
"Thank you Petey. I like books very much."
"Petey? Why did you call me that?"
"It felt right. The Man told me that sometimes people call others by a name title that is funny or cute. I think he called it a nickname. He used to call me his little swan."
"Ok, because I like you, I'll accept the nickname. Thank you, Bella."
"I like you too Petey. Thank you for my book."
"You're welcome, Bella. I'm glad you like it." Petey said before returning to his seat.
"What book did Petey give you Bella?" Jasper asked with a smirk before looking at Petey and his smirk grew bigger.
Petey made a gesture at Jasper with his hand closed but one finger pointing up. I didn't understand what it meant but I was to interest in my book to ask what it was.
"It's called a dictionary. What's it about?" I asked Jasper as I showed him my new book.
"It's probably the best book you could start with Bella. Its's a book of words that exist and what each word means." Jasper explained to me.
"Really? I will understand things better after reading this book? Will you help me if I get stuck?" I asked excitedly.
"Yes, it will and we will all help you if you get stuck." Jasper said while gesturing to everyone in the room.
I opened my book and started reading while everyone talked to each other. Wow. I didn't know there are so many unfamiliar words for me to learn. Frankly, I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed. Jasper must have felt my emotions because he started rubbing soothing circles on my back as I read and he continued talking with Petey. I think I'm going to like being his mate.
"Rose, can you show me some pictures of what some of the words are that are in my dictionary? I'd like to clarify what some of the words are. I understand the meaning but I can't see what it is in my head." I closed my book and placed it on the table in front of me before looking towards Rose.
"I certainly can. Irina, can we borrow your computer?" Rose asked.
"Yeah, go ahead. It's on the dining table." Irina said gesturing to the table.
"Irina, can you come too to help Rose explain things to me?"
"I can do that. Let's go." Irina said before taking my hand and leading us towards the computer.
Irina, Rose and I looked at many pictures to understand some of the words in my dictionary and they showed me videos of people and animals doing funny things. My favourite video was the one where the mama panda jumped when the baby sneezed.
After that we did something called online shopping. Rosey told me that everything we purchased would be delivered to the house and I could either leave it here in the room that I would share with Jasper or I could take it with me to our room at Petey and Charlottes.
Jasper walked over and checked in on me a few times while we were shopping. He would run a reassuring hand over my arm and place a kiss on my head before going back to where the others were chatting. He handed a little black card to Irina the first time round and told her to get everything I needed and wanted. Rose asked if she could get some things and Jasper told her to go nuts.
"Rosey what did Jasper mean when he said to go nuts?" I asked curiously.
"To go nuts means you have their permission to do what you want. In this case he's giving me permission to buy whatever I want as well as to get whatever you want too." Rosey explained.
"What was the little black card he gave us?"
"That's called a credit card. Instead of using money some people use a credit card which acts as money." Irina carefully explained.
"Ok. I understand what you mean. Do you and Emmett need money Rosey? I can give you some of mine. You can have some of my treasures to if that helps." I offered.
"What money and treasure do you mean Bella?" The girls asked at the same time.
"In my bag. Renee told me to not show anyone what's in my bag, she said to only show people I really trust. I trust you both. Well actually I trust all of the Whitlock's and Denali's. They're my family now. I'll go get my bag."
I jumped up and ran upstairs to Irinas room and grabbed my bag I had accidentally left there when I crawled into Jaspers lap the first time. When I came back downstairs everybody was waiting together on the comfortable chairs. I walked over and crawled into Roseys lap and unzipped my bag looking at all my treasures inside. I pulled out the flowers that Irina and I had made things with and I got sad because they were all brown and wilted. Irina noticed my sadness and smiled at me.
"It's ok Bella. We can make more any time you want and we can do things to preserve them so they last." Irina offered.
"Thank you, Irina. Id like that. Maybe all of us girls can make pretty things together."
"We'd all love to do that Bella." Irina spoke for all the girls in my family.
Looking back in my bag I pulled out the money and split it into two piles. I got up out of Roseys lap and walked over to Jasper and handed him one pile of money.
"I want to share my money and treasures with you too my mate." I spoke softly.
"Thank you for sharing your treasures with me my Bella." Jasper said as he stood up and embraced me placing a soft kiss on my forehead.
We stood there swaying slightly in each other's arms before parting and Jasper sat back down. Next, I walked over to Emmett and gave him the other pile of money.
"I want to give you and Rosey some money Emmy Bear. That way you can go online shopping and buy lots of treasures like Rosey and Irina helped me to do."
"Aww thank you Belly Boo. You didn't have to share with us but you're happily giving away your treasures and money and I'm grateful that you trust us. So thank you my new sister." Emmett stood up as he spoke and reached out for a hug but hesitated at the last moment.
I looked into Emmett's eyes and saw nothing but trust so I stepped forward into his arms and allowed him to hug me. After a minute Emmett stepped back and sat back in his chair. Going back to my bag I reached inside and pulled out two gold bars and knelt in front of Rosey offering her the bars shyly.
"Renee told me these are worth a lot of money. I'm not exactly sure what to do with them but I thought you might know what to do. I like you Rosey and I want to help you buy pretty things."
"You're sweet to help me Bella thank you. I don't know what to do with these but I'm sure Jasper or Peter will know what to do with them." Rosey thanked me softly.
Walking around the room with an excited bounce to my step I gave everyone else a gold bar and accepted hugs of thanks from everyone in my new family. After I had handed a gold bar to everyone, I looked in my bag and realised it was now empty. I didn't care that I had no money or treasures left, I was happy to share them with my new family.
I walked back over to Jasper and sat in his lap letting him wrap his arms around me and listened as his whispered how wonderful and giving I was. Snuggling into his chest I began purring softly because of how happy I felt.
"Bella, can I ask what happened with Renee and why she gave you the money and gold?" Kate asked me after a few minutes of silence.
"Before I found my cabin or actually your cabin, I came across a lady who I found out later was called Renee. She was being hurt by an angry man and he hit her so hard she fell down and didn't get up because she was asleep. The angry man then went over to a little boy and started to shake him and threw him to the ground. He was going to kick the little boy called Ben and that made me so angry so I ran super-fast and snatched the angry man away before the boy could be hurt. I took him far away and hurt him a little before he offered me money and treasures to let him live and go seek him help because he was hurt really bad. After he told me where the money and treasure were I ate him and hid his body away. I went back to the house and Renee was awake. She thanked me for helping and said the angry man had been bad before and she tried to run away with Ben but angry man stopped them. We went into the garage and I helped them find the money and treasure in the safe. Renee took half of what was in there and gave me the other half for helping her and Ben. Then they got in a car and left. I don't know what happened to Renee and Ben after I helped them. Even though Renee talked a lot I liked her. I wish I knew if they got to safety. After I helped them, I left and found the cabin." I said sadly.
"Bella, I know someone who could track Renee down and make sure her and Ben are safe, if you know where they were heading." Jasper offered while stroking my back.
"Really? I remember Renee said she wanted to go home to Jacksonville. Oh Jasper thank you so much!" I started bouncing with excitement in his lap.
"You look like you're getting hungry my mate. Why don't we go get you fed and when we get back, I'll call my friend and ask him to find Renee and Ben for you?" Jasper offered his help.
"Ok, that does sound good and I am starting to get hungry again." I said rubbing my throat.
Jasper stood and took my hand before looking at the rest of our family.
"Does anyone else want to come hunting?" Jasper asked everyone.
"Rose and I will come. We discussed it and we're going to change our diet. We both think that it's the best choice for now." Emmett stated as he stood and took Roseys hand.
"We haven't discussed a change of diet yet Jasper so we're going to stick to animals for the time being. We'll let you know what we decide later." Irina spoke for the Denali's.
"You know where we stand brother. We'll come hunting." Petey said as he stood.
Jasper led me outside and those of us who were going hunting stood about discussing where we should go to find our food.
"Anchorage would be the best place for all of us to find someone to eat." Petey said as he pulled Charlotte into his arms.
"Well what are we waiting for let's go!" Jasper yelled as we started running while still holding my hand.
The others weren't far behind us and a game of tag began as we headed towards Anchorage. Jasper let go of my hand when Emmey Bear and Petey started playing by throwing objects like trees and rocks at each other. Charlotte and Rose fell into step beside me and we watched our mates relaxing and having fun.
"I have to thank you Bella." Rosey started speaking.
"What for? What did I do?" I asked in shock.
"For making Jasper so happy. I haven't seen him this happy and carefree in decades. You've made Jasper happy by just being you and by simply being with him. So that's why I'm thanking you." Rose explained.
"You have to understand Bella that he was so deeply unhappy and lost that he was considering ending his existence. He felt he couldn't carry on in his sad state and felt that leaving this world was the only option he had left. Then he found you and he's a person we haven't seen in such a long time we almost gave up hope for him being happy again." Charlotte told me.
It felt like my blood ran cold at the thought of Jasper not being here any longer and I felt something bubbling up inside me. I looked at Jasper way ahead of us having fun with our brothers and he suddenly froze and couldn't move any further. Everyone stood in shock looking at Jasper banging against an invisible wall. I ran forward and jumped on Jaspers back wrapping my legs around his waist. I leaned forward and started placing tiny kisses and licking his neck which started his purring.
"You listen and hear me well my mate. Don't you ever think of ending yourself again. I need you around to protect and care for me and I hope someday you'll even love me. Your family, no, our family needs you around too." I said between kisses and licks.
"I promise my Bella. I'll never consider that option again. I can't and won't leave you or our family." Jasper reassured me.
"Good now go back to playing with our brothers." I said before hopping down off his back.
The boys ran off starting their games again and I waited for Rosey and Charlotte to catch up with me. When they reached me, they each put an arm around me and rested their head against mine as we watched the guys jumping on each other before running off. I felt Charlotte and Rosey give me a gentle squeeze before letting go and I saw the huge smiles on their faces and saw how happy they each were.
We caught up with Jasper, Emmy Bear and Petey just before we reached Anchorage and split up into pairs to find our food in different parts of the city. When I asked Jasper why we split up he said it was so the authority figures of the city wouldn't become suspicious by so many deaths in the one place. Taking my hand Jasper led me into a dark part of the city. I began to feel nervous but Jasper helped me calm down by rubbing circles on my hand. We didn't have to wait long until we heard the sounds of a struggle. Jasper said it was two bad men robbing a mother and child and taking their car away from them.
That made me angry and I felt a pop. The bad men started shouting about not being able to reach the mother and child. Jasper said they were scared because it was like the bad men were trapped in a bubble and the mother and child were able to get away in their car. When it was safe Jasper and I ran to the bad men and dragged them into an even darker street. My mate held his bad man and watched as I started to feed on my bad man.
Stopping mid feed I looked at Jasper and asked why he was standing so far away from me.
"Bella usually someone as young as you is protective over their kill and will attack anyone who gets to close."
"I would never attack you, Jasper. Come and feed with me." I held out my hand in invitation.
Jasper hit his bad man and he fell to the ground asleep before he walked over to me and kneeling on the ground. He looked at me with hesitation before I told him to feed. When he did, I leant back down and started feeding from the other side of the bad man's neck. As we ate, I reached over and started stroking Jasper's hair as he fed. When we got everything, we could from the bad man I looked to my mate and gave he a big smile before I leaned towards him and planted a kiss on his cheek. He smiled back at me and placed the palm of his hand against my cheek and stroked my face gently with his thumb as we stared into each other's eyes in silence.
Jaspers bad man must have started to wake up because he started groaning in pain before he sat up and started yelling bad words at us and saying how he would kill us if we came any closer to him. I jumped up and ran over to the bad man throwing myself at him.
"Don't you threaten my mate bad man. You can't hurt him; I won't let you." I hissed before sinking my teeth into his neck. I held my hand out to Jasper as I ate and he joined me placing his hand on my head as I had done to him with the first bad man. We were busy feeding when I felt someone coming closer and I looked up hissing a warning.
"Well isn't this sweet sharing a meal together. You're a lucky man Major." Petey said as he stepped closer to us.
Growling at Petey I crouched in front of Jasper and our food.
"Peter you better step back. Bella's calm with me so close but I don't know what she will do to you." Jasper warned.
Peter stepped back slowly and stood beside Emmett as Jasper and I finished our food. When we were done Jasper and Petey put the bad men in a big bin and set it on fire before we ran off. Rosey and Charlotte met up with us and Petey told them Jasper and I shared our feed.
"Aww that's so sweet." Charlotte and Rosey chimed together.
Everybody had found enough to eat so we ran directly home together, there were no games or playing this time.
When we got back, I looked down noticing how dirty and ripped my clothes were and I had dirt and other stuff all over my skin. Rose must have noticed me looking down at myself and she whispered something that I couldn't hear to Irina and Charlotte.
"Bella, would you like me to show you where you can get cleaned up and changed?" Rose asked quietly.
"Cleaned up and changed? What do you mean? I don't want to change who I am; I like me." I said tilting my head in confusion.
"No Bella I meant would you like to wash the dirt and grime off of your body so your skin is clean and then change your clothes to some fresh clean ones after you have washed your skin.
"Oh I get what you mean now. Tanya, do you have a bucket and some water that I can use to wash? I can also use a stream if there is one nearby." I said not understanding why everyone looked so shocked.
"Belly Boo why would you use a bucket and water or a stream? Why not a bath or shower?" Emmett asked confused.
"Emmy Bear I was raised in an old dark mine. The Man who raised me only brought me a bucket of water when he visited and that was rare. He once took me to a stream and ordered me to strip off my clothes before he scrubbed me in the running water. It was cold water and I cried. That didn't make the man happy when I cried." I said softly.
"Oh. I'm sorry he did that to you Belly Boo. He didn't hurt you, did he?" Emmett asked softly.
"He didn't hurt me that time Emmy Bear but there were other times that he did."
Emmett started growling and Rosey whispered in his ear quietly so I couldn't hear what she said.
Jasper pulled all the men aside and started talking with them so fast and softly I couldn't hear what was being said again. Rosey took my hand and we walked upstairs to a strange room that had a huge tub that I could sit in water and wash and there was another thing where the water fell down from the roof like rain. Rosey told me that Irina was going to find me some clothes to wear for after I washed and she would leave them outside the door for when I was done. Rosey said it would be best if I stood under the rainwater thing first to wash most of the dirt off of me then I could sit in the tub of water after that. She turned on the rainwater making sure the water was warm then went to leave the room so I could wash alone.
*****Start of scene*****
"Rosey, can you stay with me and help me wash? I don't know what to do and that makes me scared." I admitted.
"Sweet girl I will do whatever you want me to do to help you feel comfortable."
"Thank you, Rosey. Do you mind if I call you Rosey?"
"I don't mind you giving me a nickname Bella. I'll let you in on a secret that only Emmett knows. My sister used to call me Rosey and I loved her dearly. It makes me feel wonderful when you call me Rosey and makes me feel like your real sister."
"Rosey we are sisters and nobody is ever going to change my mind on that subject." I said hugging her.
"Thank you, Bella. You don't know how happy you just made me."
"I love you, my sister. Can we get me washed now? I'm starting to miss my mate."
"Ok Bella are you able to undress yourself or do you need help?"
"Can you help me? I've only done it a couple of time and it was more like ripping them off instead of removing them carefully."
"Ok I'll move slowly and if you feel scared or just want me to stop tell me immediately. I want you to be comfortable as possible."
"I promise to tell you if I want you to stop Rosey."
My new sister walked over and started with the clothes on the top of my body. I watched carefully wanting to learn how to do this myself. Rosey slowly lifted my arms and pulled the material up and over my head throwing the destroyed item in a container next to the door.
"Normally we would clean the clothes and reuse them but since these are destroyed, we'll just throw them into the trash." Rosey explained before moving onto the clothes on the lower part of my body.
When Rosey pulled them down, she accidentally let out a small gasp when she saw my legs.
"What's wrong Rosey?"
"Bella, you have scars all over your upper legs." Rosey said softly.
"Oh those. I never really understood what they were until I saw the scars on Jasper. At the time my scars were put there all I knew was it hurt. I was always blindfolded when he punished me so I never knew how he put them there. It was one of the many ways The Man punished me when I was bad. Will Jasper punish me like The Man did whenever I'm bad?"
I heard items downstairs smashing and breaking before the loud noises moved outside and disappeared into the trees surrounding the house. Then all there was silence downstairs.
"Bella look at me. Jasper would never hurt you in that way or in any way. What The Man did to you was bad and very wrong. He should never have done that to you. No matter how bad someone is they should never be hurt in those ways. Promise me Bella if anyone ever hurts you in that way you come and tell me, tell Irina tell any of the Denali's or Whitlock's. Above all else trust your mate and tell him everything."
"Ok Rosey I promise." I was starting to feel overwhelmed when I felt a wave of calm wash over me.
"Now get in under the water. I'll show you on your arms how to clean your skin then you can clean the rest of your body." Rosey said putting some liquid that smelled like flowers onto a puffy sponge and rubbing it up and down my arms before directing me to wash the soap off under the water.
"See, now your arms are all clean. Now you do the same all over your skin and your private area between your legs." Rosey instructed.
"Private area? What do you mean?"
"The area between your legs is your vagina. It's a private area just for you and sometimes when you find a loving caring mate you will let them see it and touch it."
"Oh that. It hurts when people touch there. The Man hurt me there many times when I was very bad. He said it was for his experiments at first then it was just when I was a bad girl. I don't want anyone to touch me there Rosey. I'll be a good girl so I don't get punished and hurt there and anywhere else on my body." I said as I began to shake.
All of a sudden there was a huge roar and what sounded like an explosion downstairs. There was a lot of banging and yelling before everything went silent again. I started cleaning the rest of my body quickly shaking the whole time. I made sure to do everything twice so I would be super clean, I wanted to be a good girl and not do anything to be punished. I didn't like the sounds downstairs.
There was a soft knock at the door and Rosey walked over opening the door a little to see who was there. When Rosey saw who it was, she opened the door and Charlotte walked in with my clean clothes.
"Bella we couldn't help but hear your conversation with Rose. You have to know that what The Man did to you is wrong on so many levels. Honey what he did to your private area is called rape or sexual assault. When you don't give permission for someone to touch your vagina and they forcefully touch it or put their penis in any part of you is rape or sexual assault. Its one of the worst thing someone can do to another person and it is never allowed. Those people who do it know its wrong and anyone who does it should be punished for what they've done. It doesn't happen to every person and some people are afraid to tell anyone if it happens to them. Rose and I have both been raped and it's taken a long time for us to be able to talk about it to anyone but our mates." Charlotte explained gently but firmly.

"I wasn't bad? The Man is a bad man for what he did to me?" I asked.
"No sweetie. You weren't bad and you didn't deserve what he did to you. The Man was very bad and he knows it, that's more than likely why he hid you away. Also seeing your scars we know he was a vampire like us. So Jasper along with all of us will find The Man someday and make him pay for what he has done to you." Rosey explained to me.
"Come get into the tub and we can talk some more while we wash your hair." Charlotte said while leading me to the tub and holding onto my hand as I stepped into the water.
This felt wonderful sitting down into the warm water. Rosey squeezed some liquid into where the water poured into the tub and the most beautiful scent filled the air. I leaned back against the tub and felt so relaxed I could have fallen asleep if I was still able to.
Rosey poured water on my head then put some liquid into my hair before she gently scrubbed it with her fingers. She started humming in a comforting way as she poured more water onto my hair to wash out all the soap and dirt. Stepping aside and letting Charlotte in Rosey sat on the bench near the sink and watched as Charlotte followed the same steps as Rosey had with my hair. Once everything was clean the water was drained and clean water was put back in along with the pretty smelling bubbles.
"Now we want you to just sit there and relax Bella. If there is anything you want to know feel free to ask us." Charlotte said with a smile.
"What was all the noise downstairs and the roar I heard Char? It was scary."
"Oh Darlin when we heard what you said Jasper was so angry, he couldn't control his emotions so he broke some things." Char said.
"I made my mate angry? I didn't mean to make him angry. I'll be good I promise." I said while dry sobbing.
"Bella no. You weren't bad. Jasper was angry because someone hurt you in the worst way and he wasn't there to protect you. He's not angry at you he's angry for you. He's going to be sensitive around you and he may be so protective of you that he will try to stop people coming to close to you for a while." Rosey told me while she gathered items from a box on the bench near her.
"What should I do if he gets that way?" I asked needing to know how to comfort Jasper.
"Let him hold you and comfort you. We all know what to do if he gets angry at us for getting to close. He's going to want to show everyone that you're his so he will lick, nuzzle and kiss you trying to get as much of his scent on you as he can. He'll more than likely want to keep you within his sight at all times and want to do everything for you until he feels comfortable at letting you out of his arms again." Char spoke as she grabbed a folded cloth off of the bench beside Rosey and holding it open gesturing for me to stand up.
Rosey hopped down off of the bench and held my hand as I stepped out of the tub and Char started to dry the water off of me with the cloth. When my skin was dry Char wrapped the cloth around me and Rosey used another cloth to dry the water on my hair.
After all the water was off of me Char knelt and held some things called panties out and told me to place one leg into each hole before she pulled them up and covering my private area. Next, she held out what she called pants and told me to do the same thing as I did with the panties. The pants were soft and loose as well as comfortable. They were pink and had little white flowers all over them. I liked them very much and wondered if I was allowed to keep them. Rosey stepped forward and told me to hold my arms up, when I did, she told me she had a t-shirt and slipped it over my arms and pulled it down over my body. I knew what the picture was on the t-shirt as Rosey showed me on the computer. It was a picture of a little yellow duck holding something over his head.
"Rosey what's the duck holding?" I asked confused by the item the duck held.
"That's called an umbrella. People use them to keep rain off of themselves and sometimes use it to keep the sunshine off of them. The joke is that ducks love water but this little duck is trying to keep the water off of himself." Rosey said with a little laugh.
"That's cute. Can I keep the clothes? I like them very much." I asked Rosey with a smile.
"Irina said you can keep them. The clothes we ordered online will take a couple of days to get here so if you need anymore clothing before then Irina said they have plenty more you can have." Char told me.
Rosey led me out of the washroom and into a room that had a table with a mirror on it. She told me to sit on the small chair and face the mirror before she started to use an item on my hair. Before I could ask Rosey explained to me what she was doing.
"This is called a brush. It's used to get tangles out of your hair and make it pretty and smooth."
After Rosey had finished with the brush, she placed it down before she used her hands to twist my hair into a shape then using a band at the end to hold it into place.
"Look in the mirror and see how pretty you look Bella." Rosey said.
When I looked at the mirror, I first saw Rosey and Char standing behind me looking at the mirror too with big smiles on their faces. Looking again I saw a pretty girl sitting down staring back at me in with wonder.
"That's what I look like? I'm so pretty." I said before reaching out and touching the me in the mirror.
"Yes, you are pretty Bella. When you're ready we can teach you about make up but honestly, I don't think you need it. Rosey said as she placed her hand on my shoulder.
"What's make up?"
"Make up is something people put on their faces to enhance their beauty. It also makes a lot of people feel good about themselves so they feel powerful when wearing it." Char explained.
"So it's like warpaint? I read it in a book once but The Man took my books away."
"That's right Bella. Now we better get you back to Jasper before he loses it and comes up here to get you." Rosey said.
When we stood up, I jumped at Rosey hugging her.
"I love you, my Rosey."
"I love you too Bella" Rosey said gripping me tightly.
I spun around and threw myself at Char and wrapping my legs around her waist.
"I love you too my Char. Can I call you Char? Do you want to be my sister and Rosey's too? We can be sisters together."
"Bella there's nothing id like more than to be your and Roses sister and I don't mind you calling me Char. All my family and friends call me Char."
Feeling overwhelmed with a sense of love I held onto Char tightly and rested my head on her shoulder not letting her go.
"Bella, do you want to let go and walk downstairs with us?" Char asked me.
"I don't wanna let go." I mumbled into her shoulder.
"That's ok. I'll carry you downstairs." Char said with a gentle laugh.
Holding onto Char tightly we went downstairs with Rosey at our side. When we reached the bottom of the stairs I looked around and saw everybody clearing broken things and taking them outside.
Jasper walked in the back door and saw us standing at the stairs, he sprinted over and snatched me from Chars arms and ran to the empty corner. Sitting down in the corner with me cradled in his lap Jasper started licking my neck and whispering how he'd look after me and would protect me from everybody. Turning us around so nobody could see me in Jasper's lap, he began checking me looking for injuries and scars.
"My mate, later I want you to let me check you everywhere for scars. I promise I won't do anything sexual but I need to see the scars for myself. I have all sorts of horrifying images in my head." Jasper whispered as he nuzzled my neck and started purring.
Sitting there comfortable in Jaspers arms I began running my fingers through his hair as he went between licking and nuzzling my neck and checking the parts of me, he could see for scars. No matter how many times he checked my visible skin for scars he would repeat his actions, lick, nuzzle, kiss check skin whisper sweet words. I whispered how much I loved him and how I was lucky to have such a brave and strong mate to care for me.
"You love me already Bella?"
"I think I do Jasper. You make me feel safe and cared for. You're already providing for me and making sure I'm happy and healthy. I couldn't ask for a better mate." I said placing one hand on either side of his face making him look me in the eyes. I leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on his lips that only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to feel a little spark of something on contact.
I felt Jasper tense and I turned my head to peek over his shoulder and saw Petey approaching slowly. When I looked over Jaspers shoulder his hold on me tightened and he began to growl lowly before he shifted slightly so I couldn't be seen. Putting my head against Jasper I began to purr hoping it would help him calm down. When the growling got louder, I spoke to Petey without looking at him.
"Petey, I love you but you need to back off. He's not going to calm if you keep approaching."
"I'm sorry Major. I don't mean to intrude but I was going to suggest that you take Little One somewhere that you can be alone. It will help you to calm and give you two some time to get to know each other better." Petey suggested.
Jasper looked down at me and gave me a look that I took as him asking me what I wanted to do. He started stroking my face and placing little kisses everywhere and it tickled which made me giggle. My Jasper started purring when I began to giggle and that made me happy. Thinking about what Petey suggested I liked the idea of being alone with my mate but I didn't want to be to far away from my family, especially my new sisters Irina, Char and Rosey. I didn't know locations and decided that would be the next thing I'd like to learn about.
Suddenly I had a thought and looked up at my Jasper touching his chin lightly to draw his attention to me because he had been looking over his shoulder growling lightly at Petey to stay where he was.
When Jasper turned and looked down at me and placed a kiss to the top of my head I smiled and said quietly, "Jasper take me home to my cabin."
