Chapter 11

AN: XXX mature scene

As the minimal light filtering through the blackout curtains, registered in Lena's brain, the pressure on her bladder also became increasingly apparent. She carefully slides out of Kara's hold, praying that she won't wake up.

Returning to the bedroom, Lena decides she really can't imagine fixing breakfast right now and decides to slide back into bed. Kara had moved onto her back and spread out so Lena slid beside her resting her head on Kara's chest.

Kara's outstretched arm automatically curled around her shoulders and pulled her closer. Lena tried resting her leg across Kara's hips but couldn't get close enough to fit the way she usually does.

A groan of frustration woke up Kara.

"Hey what's wrong, baby?", she mutters.

"Can't get comfortable", Lena whines, still wiggling.

Kara slides one hand down to rest on Lena's thigh while the other pulls her shoulders closer. "It's ok", she says, her thumb rubbing circles on the bare skin, "Why aren't you comfy?".

"Can't get close enough", Lena says, still uneasy, "I'm fat".

"No you're not", Kara says, much more awake now, leaving a kiss on Lena's head, "You're beautiful and you're growing our baby. Fitting for Mother's Day", Kara says, nuzzling into her neck and shifting her onto her back. "I love you", she says, planting a kiss there before moving down, "and I love getting to be a mom with you. You're gonna be great".

"We're going to be great", Lena corrects, "I love you, darling".

As she feels Lena relax and the tension and frustration leave her body, Kara get's an idea. Her eyes are dark as she slides her lips across Lena's collarbones before moving down her sternum. The mischievous sparkle in the deep blue pulls Lena in and she relaxes even further under Kara's ministrations. Once Kara's lips reach the edge of the shirt, Lena feels long, warm fingers start to slide under the edge, pushing the shirt up as Kara's lips jump down to her stomach.

"Just take it off", Lena moans, fully into it now, one hand pushing Kara lower while the other help ruck up her shirt until she can get her arms and head through it.

"Patience", Kara tsks, slowing down just to tease as she continues caressing Lena's hard stomach, "close your eyes baby", she mutters against the skin before moving further down.

"The baby doesn't have eyes yet and if you don't stop teasing…", Lena starts to threaten but her sentence is cut off by an unstoppable moan as Kara slides one hand up to Lena's chest and the other into her shorts. "Shit… Kara…", Lena moans, her hips arching up on their own accord.

The vibrating chuckle against her clit only serves to cause another spasm and Lena is already on the edge.

"Kar… Rao, please", Lena huffs, out of breath, "so close".

"Come for me beautiful", Kara says, slowly kissing her way back up to Lena's face as her she keeps up the rhythm with her fingers.

Lena uses one hand to get a grip on Kara's hair and the other to dig her nails into Kara's back as she pulls her as close as possible. Their lips connecting for a sloppy kiss before Lena throws her head back, screaming.

Kara soothingly kisses her all over while slowly sliding her hand out. Lena lets out a small whimper as she keeps clenching around nothing but is quickly soothed as Kara rolls them so Lena is on top. Lena settles in, recovering her breath and muscle control, as Kara cards her fingers through sweaty black locks.

"You still with me?", Kara teases, getting a small noise and an attempt at a glare in return. "See you're not fat and the baby isn't in the way. We may have to adapt but we'll find whatever is most comfortable for you and the little one", Kara says, caressing Lena's bump. "You're beautiful and I love you so much for everything you're doing for our little family".

"Love you too", Lena says, her cheeks pink from more than just arousal as she leans up to connect their lips.

"So it's Mother's Day", Kara says, "what do you want to do?".

"You pick. It's your day too", Lena counters.

"Yeah but you've done all the hard work so far so you choose… whatever you want", Kara says, "or whatever baby will allow".

"I just wanna stay here for a while", Lena says, wiggling to get the maximum skin to skin contact.

"That sounds like a great plan", Kara says, dropping a kiss on top of Lena's head and willing her stomach to stay silent.

After surprising Sam with breakfast for Mother's Day, the small family has settled on the couch for a movie that they begrudgingly let Sam choose, knowing the types of movies she usually chooses are not the ones that usually hold Alex's or Ruby's attention.

As the credits roll, Ruby rounds the edge of the couch, sliding a folder out of her backpack hanging by the front door before dropping a huge packet in Alex's lap. Alex shifts from her place wrapped around Sam to look at the new weight. Not expecting it, she can barely registering the words Adoption in the State of California in a very official looking letterhead at the top of the page. She skims across the page and the meaning of the papers starts to sink in.

"You're… you're serious? This is legally binding!", Alex stutters out, in shock.

"You're not planning on leaving us are you?", Ruby teases, although the shake in her voice betrays her nervousness.

"Did you know about this?", Alex asks, turning to a teary-eyed Sam, who just shakes her head no.

"I did all the research", Ruby starts, "It's harder since you're not married but there's no second parent on my birth certificate so no one has to terminate parental rights and as soon as you and mom both sign and a judge approves… it's done. So Alex… will you officially be my Ma".

"You're ok with this?", Alex asks, turning to Sam who now has tears running down her face.

Unable to speak the woman just nods emphatically, sliding over to wrap Alex and Ruby in a hug.

"Where do I sign?", Alex asks, grinning, happy tears streaming down her face.

The normally stoic Alex pulls them both close, leaving kisses all over Ruby's head before looking over to Sam and her heart feels full at the look in her eyes and the comfort of the hug.

After Ruby heads upstairs to get some homework finished up, Alex and Sam are left curled up on the couch, emotions high but happiness leading the pack.

Alex finally musters the courage to break the silence as she can't handle not knowing anymore. "So Ruby kind of mentioned this", Alex starts, an uncharacteristic stutter in her voice, "I want to adopt her no matter what but we probably should talk about it. Right?".

Sam nods solemnly, knowing what Alex is referring to.

"It doesn't change how I feel about you but we have been dating almost a year and is marriage what you want? You know I haven't had a good experience with engagement", Alex chuckles, "with you it's different… I'm more relaxed, I trust you and I know with Ruby you don't do anything you're not serious about and I'm serious about us and adopting her and being there for both of you but… do you want a ring?". Alex takes a deep breath trying to calm herself after the small ramble.

"We don't have to". Sam offers knowing Alex's past with engagements, "I know you're mine and I'm yours and you've officially adopted Ruby without us having to be married. Honestly, I never thought I'd get married anyway and I'm very happy with what we have", she says leaning over to kiss Alex.

"Me too", Alex agrees, making a mental note that Sam didn't actually give her a straight answer but an agreement in understanding of Alex's past experience, before pulling her back into the kiss, pushing the racing thoughts aside and focusing on Sam's lips on hers.

"Have fun on Argo", Alex says, hugging Kara.

"Have fun on your anniversary", Kara teases, wiggling her eyebrows at a blushing Alex.

"Use this time to relax a little", Sam says, in her own embrace with Lena.

"Yeah, yeah", Lena says, "I can't exactly video conference from Argo".

"You know what I mean", Sam says with a stern but loving tone.

"Yeah, thanks Sammy", Lena says, stepping back next to Kara.

"You ready?", Kara asks, their fingers interlocking automatically.

"Let's go", Lena says and they step through the portal.

Kara's shoulder droop immediately as she feels her powers drained and she sighs in relief. Lena squeezes her hand and pulls her along. "Come on. The baby is hungry", she says.

"You mean you're hungry", Kara teases.

"Everything right now is at the will of the little one", Lena says, "if he's hungry we eat and if he doesn't like it we sit on the bathroom floor for an hour". Kara looks at her with a dopey grin on her face. "What?", Lena asks, smiling at the look in Kara's eyes.

"You said he", Kara says, "that's the first time you've mentioned the gender".

"Well we don't actually know yet", Lena says, "it's just kind of a gut feeling, I guess".

Kara grins, leaning over to kiss her, "When do we get to find out for real?".

"Around 20 weeks", Lena answers, "so when we get back".

Kara grins, kissing her again before exaggeratedly swinging their arms between them as she marches towards her parents' house on Argo.

AN: Sorry I missed last week and that I'm late this week. I came down with a nasty bug last weekend which is like my only time to really get some writing done to post Monday and decompress from the week and I didn't want to do anything and then I was traveling this weekend for Spring Break. Classes have been insane and I'm so ready to have some chill time.

I also wanted to give these scenes the effort they deserve and really take the time to slow down and focus on writing rather than just cranking out another chapter.

This one is a little short still but I'll be back on track posting the next one Monday, the 27th.
