The Dragon Riders were currently chasing some Flamethrowers out of the Crystal Realm.
"Come on, we've almost chased them back to the Fire Realm," said Tom.
"Again," said Alex.
"They're certainly persistent," said James.
"Yeah, well, they keep trying and trying, but we're always going to send them packing," said Jun.
"When are these Flamethrowers going to take a hint?" said D'Angelo. "Not welcome here!"
'After the Flamethrowers, but one separated itself from the pack.
"We lost one!" said Jun.
"Stay on the other two," said Tom. "They're trying to divide us."
"And leave one behind?" said Eugene. "No way, Tommy! I'll head them off of the flank."
"Eugene!" Tom yelled as he took off.
"And there goes another pest," said Jun.
"Get ready to get some web, flame-o!" said Eugene as he caught up with the Flamethrower.
Webmaster fired some fire wedding, but the Flamethrower was able to dodge it.
"See what I did there, Webs?" Eugene smiled. "It's like…"
He was interrupted when a second Flamethrower appeared before him and fired a fire blast at him. Webmaster could barely dodge it in time, and he and Eugene fell to the ground.
Eugene managed to pick himself up and saw that the two Flamethrowers were now directly above them.
"Oh, hey, flamies," Eugene smiled nervously. "Uh, you don't want to do that, cos, uh, we were just playing. Right, Webs?"
Webmaster's snarled in agreement, but sadly, the two Flamethrowers weren't buying it.
"Guess they don't like games," said Eugene as they flew toward him.
"Ugh!" Jun groaned, noticing that he was in trouble. "Come on, Wu and Wei!"
They immediately landed in front of Eugene, and the Flamethrowers unleashed their fire blasts. Wu and Wei counted by unleashing both the ice and steam blast, and they appeared to be evenly matched. However, Wu and Wei were finding it difficult to hold their ground as they were slowly being pushed back.
"You can do this!" said Jun.
They then turned up their power and were able to blast back the Flamethrowers, causing them to retreat.
"Nice job, Jun," said Tom as he and the others arrived.
"The remaining Throwers are bugging out," D'Angelo noted.
"And they thought they stood a chance against us," said Alex.
Tom then flew down to Eugene. "Eugene! That was not cool!"
"What do you mean? They're gone, right?" he said. "My plan worked."
"You call that a plan?" said D'Angelo.
"Yeah. You know, flush out the other one that we didn't know was there," he said, clicking his tongue triumphantly.
"You're just lucky that Jun, Wu and Wei saved your butt," said Tom.
Then, everyone noticed that Wu and Wei weren't looking too good.
"You two okay?" Jun asked, rubbing their heads. "I think they might've hurt themselves."
"You sure? They've run out of mist breathe before," said Tom.
"I know, but not like this. They're coughing."
Tom looked at D'Angelo. "What do you think, D?"
"I'm sure they'll be fine," said D'Angelo as he examined them. "Probably just a sprain or something."
"It's possible they could have overdone it with that last attack; it wasn't more intense than usual," said James.
"Let's get back to the Lair, get them some rest," D'Angelo advised.
They soon returned to the Lair. Tom was now looking through the book he found in the puzzle box. It was filled with pictures of dragons, but everything in it was written in an ancient Viking language.
There was one page that caught Tom's interest; it showed a picture of a number of Vikings, seven of them to be precise. One was tall, lanky, and rather adventurous; another was rather husky but looked incredibly gentle. One guy was wearing a pair of goggles and looked inquisitive. Another one was quite muscular but had this feeling of superiority. There was a boy and a girl who were clearly twins, and neither of them looked intelligent. There was also a beautiful girl who had a warrior spirit.
"I wonder if I'm related to any of these people?" Tom wondered.
"You kinda look like him, but not as smart," said Alex, pointing to the male twin.
"What? My nose doesn't do that," he said, wiggling his nose. "Does it?"
"Or maybe him," said D'Angelo, pointing to the muscular guy. Tom instantly gave him a dubious look. "What? You guys have similar hair."
"Why are you so focused on the guys? You could be related to one of these girls, like her," said James, pointing to the beautiful girl. "She looks a bit of a lone wolf to me."
"I wish I could read their names," said Tom frustratingly. "Urgh! This stuff's all written in runes."
"Ha! You just got the book, and it's already ruined," Eugene laughed. "Take care of your staff, bro."
Thunder snarled at him.
"Jun, can you read runes?" Tom asked.
Sadly, Jun was a bit too preoccupied with Wu and Wei to listen.
"Jun?" Tom frowned.
"Guys, they aren't getting better," she said frantically. "Usually, when Wu and Wei run out of mist, they just need to refuel with some water. They've been drinking from the lagoon since we got back, but…"
Wu and Wei then coughed, showing that they were indeed not improving.
"Let me take a closer look," said D'Angelo, rushing over to them.
He pressed his head against their chest and frowned. "I don't hear anything strange. Judging from their coughing, my best guess is still that they overloaded themselves. Lost their breath."
"Like the Dragon King," said Jun as she stuck Wu.
"Uh-oh, nerd alert!" Eugene groaned. "Here she goes."
"Oh, Eugene!" Jun moaned.
"What do you mean, Dragon King?" Tom asked.
"It's a silly story that our dad used to tell us about some jerky brother," Eugene scoffed. "I don't know what he was trying to say."
"I can't imagine," said D'Angelo, rolling his eyes.
"It's a Chinese myth, Eugene!" Jun snapped. "Not a silly story. The Dragon King had four dragon sons who caused so much trouble and got so upset that he lost his magical breath."
"Myth, silly story—what the diff?" said Eugene.
"I'm not saying it's real. Just that maybe there's something to be learned from it. Myths and stories came from somewhere, Eugene. There's always a truth if you know where to look."
"Whatever," said Eugene dismissively.
Then suddenly, Wu scooped Jun onto his saddle, and he and Wei took to the air.
"Whoa!" Jun yelled as they flew off with her.
"Jun, what's going on?" Tom asked.
"I don't know!" she yelled as they dived into the tunnel.
"I don't think that Jun should be taking Wu and Wei out in their condition," said D'Angelo.
"You might wanna tell that to Wu and Wei," said James.
"Either way, come on!" Tom yelled, gesturing for the others to move. "Before we lose them!"
They quickly mounted their dragons and chased after Jun, Wu and Wei.
Wu and Wei, for some reason, decided to fly into the Ice Realm, and Jun was doing her best to ring them in, but they kept on insisting on flying to who knows where.
"Urgh! What are you doing?" Jun yelled
"Jun, hold up!" said Tom, catching up with her.
"I'm trying!" said Jun, trying to pull Wu back. "It's Wu and Wei! They're leading us somewhere!"
"I think we need to lead them back," said D'Angelo. "They should be resting."
"Urgh! I can't!" Jun yelled.
"Five minutes ago, they were too sick to blast; now you can't control them?" Eugene stared.
"It looks like they want to get somewhere fast," James noted.
"Do we have any idea where they're going?" Alex asked.
"If I had to guess…" said Jun, pointing ahead of them.
There, they saw a large mountain close by.
"Whoa! That thing is huge!" said D'Angelo.
"Why would they lead us there?" Tom asked.
"I'm not sure. But in the Dragon King myth, one of the king's sons went west and climbed the highest mountain he could to ask the Gods for help," said Jun.
"Oh, come on, Jun," Eugene groaned. "That story was supposed to put us both to sleep. And it worked. Now you think Wu and Wei are acting it out?"
"I don't think that. But maybe whatever they need to heal is on that mountain."
"Before we head to the mountain, there's something I think you should see," said Tom as he pulled out the Dragon Book.
He opened it up and showed them a picture of a large mountain which depicted strong winds and a skull symbol.
"I'm not sure how the myth ends, but according to this book, whatever's on the mountain isn't good," he said.
Wu and Wei then egged Jun on towards the mountain.
"But Wu and Wei seem to think what they need is up there," Jun argued. "I have to help them find it."
She then took off towards the mountain.
"Jun! Wait!" said Tom, chasing after her.
"Welcome to my life," Eugene moaned as they followed them.
They began flying up towards the mountain peak, but Wu and Wei landed on a ledge on the side of the mountain. The moment they landed, they practically collapsed from exhaustion.
"Don't worry, you two," Jun smiled, stroking a two-headed dragon. "I'll help you get there. Just like the sons of the Dragon King got to the top of that mountain with the help of the Storm Gods."
"Guys, Wu and Wei still don't look good," said D'Angelo.
"Jun, slow down," said Tom as he dismounted Thunder. "What's your plan?"
"My plan is to do whatever it takes to help my dragon," she said. "I would think that you would understand that."
"What the…? Ugh," Tom groaned.
"So we're climbing the mountain," said Alex, looking up at the steep slope. "Great. Is there maybe a small mountain around here that works, too?"
"Pfft! Climb?" Eugene scoffed. "My days of manual labour are long behind me. Cos they never started."
Then, before anyone could stop him, he took off and began flying up towards the peak.
"You losers can walk," said Eugene, looking back at them. "I'm taking the elevator. See you at the top."
Sadly, he didn't get too far as a powerful gust of wind slammed into him and Webmaster. A split second later, they slammed into the side of the slope with Eugene directly beneath Webmaster. They slid down the slope until they reached the rest of the Dragon Riders.
"That really looked as if it hurt," said James.
Eugene could only groan.
"You should really put some ice on that," D'Angelo advised with a smile. "Oh, wait, you're already on ice."
He then laughed and walked away.
"Thanks for the demonstration, Eugene," said Tom, showing him the mountain page. "See? The book warned us about those winds."
"File that under things that would've been valuable two minutes ago," Eugene groaned.
"How could he? You dashed off before we could say anything," James reminded him.
"Whoever wrote this book, they didn't just make stuff up," said Tom. "It's not just some myth."
"Some myth?" Jun glared. "Myths can provide answers to the unanswerable, Tom. They're compasses to meaning. It's not about whether the myth is real or not. I'm trying to understand my dragon."
"Well, to me, it's about keeping us safe and what's best for the team," said Tom.
"Wu and Wei are part of the team," Jun reminded him.
"No, that… That's not what I mean, Jun."
"Uh, Jun!" said D'Angelo, pointing behind her.
Jun turned around and saw Wu and Wei climbing up the slope.
"Wu, Wei, wait up! I'm coming!" she yelled and ran after, making sure to step on Eugene.
"Not judging, but your dragons chose the slipperiest part," said Alex.
"Well, the winds aren't as strong over here," said Jun, feeling the wind with her hand.
Tom shrugged at the others, and it looked at his finger and used it to feel the wind, and it was indeed much weaker.
"She has a point," he said. "It shields us from the winds."
"Hmm… It's almost like, oh, I don't know, like they knew," said Jun smugly.
"I'm not saying they don't know. I'm just saying we don't know. I just want to be sure it's safe."
"Urgh!" Eugene groaned as he got up. "Well, looks like we're climbing the world's biggest snow cone after all."
With that, they began climbing up the slope, which wasn't easy since the slope was covered in ice. The Riders found it difficult, but the dragons were having difficulty getting a good footing.
Thunder slid down more than once, and Feathers had to grip the stones protruding from the slope with her teeth. Wu and Wei were having a much more difficult time in their condition, but they were making some headway using their heads to wrap around the rocks.
"It's taking a while," said Tom. "But we've actually made some progress."
Unfortunately, it was then that Wu and Wei were beginning to sneeze.
"No!" Jun cried quickly, sliding down towards them. "No! No, no, no, no, no!"
Wei then sneezed, causing them to lose their footing and began sliding down the slope with Jun. They collided with Tom, and Thunder continued to make their way down the slope.
"Jun!" Eugenio quickly jumped out of the way with Webmaster.
James and Blade are the same thing, followed by D'Angelo and Plowhorn. Sadly, Alex and Feathers were not as lucky and slid right off the cliff. They would have fallen to their deaths if Webmaster hadn't grabbed them with his webbing using Plowhorn's horn as leverage.
"Gotcha!" said Eugene. "Ahem! I think someone deserves a little bit of credit for saving your sorry butts."
"Thank you, Webmaster," said Jun.
"Tuh! Typical!" Eugene muttered.
They eventually managed to climb up the slope and reach horizontal ground, and Alex was the first to stroke it.
"Oh, sweet, sweet horizontal ground," she said. "I'll never take you for granted again!"
Eugene, D'Angelo and James eventually reached the top of the slope and were exhausted. Though it was safe to say they weren't as exhausted as the dragons, who more or less collapsed the moment they reached the top. The only bit of sudden movement they showed was when Plowhorn was about to lie on top of them.
"Are we there yet?" D'Angelo panted.
"Uh… Halfway-ish?" said Tom, taking note of another even steeper slope.
"Does that book recommend a good place to vomit?" Alex asked.
Jun finally arrived with Wu and Wei, who looked even worse than before.
"You doing okay? Still want to keep going?" she asked. The two-headed dragon snarled, saying yes. "We'll get there."
"Speaking of getting there, what's next in your depressing book of doom, Kullersen?" Eugene asked.
"This…" said Tom, pointing to the skull symbol in the book. "…smoking skull."
"Hmm…" said Jun, looking around. "I don't see any skulls. Do you? Guess your book doesn't know everything."
Tom narrowed his eyes, shoved the book over to D'Angelo, and marched towards her. "Funny coming from someone who is looking for answers in a 1,000-year-old myth."
"Um, maybe I'm forgetting, but isn't that book also 1,000 years old?"
"No! Well, yeah, probably. But still! I'm just being cautious."
"Guess there's a first time for everything."
Eugene groaned and stood up. "It's either Jun's snoozefest myth or Tom and the book he found in a hole. Ladies and gentle dragons, our fearless leaders!"
"I hate to say it, but Eugene does have a point," said James. "This argument is not going to help Wu and Wei."
"Guys, why is the skull in the Dragon Book moving?" D'Angelo frowned.
"Moving?" Tom frowned and went over to check.
He looked and saw the skull the book was moving, and suddenly Tom began feeling very dizzy.
"Weird," he said, his voice sounding woozy.
"Tom! Why is your voice sounding like that?" Jun asked, her voice being a little distorted as well.
"Like what?"
"You sound like a troll," said Alex, the same thing happening to her voice. "Aaaand I sound like a troooll. Aaam I a troooll?"
"What's going on?" Tom asked.
"Loook!" said Alex, pointing their heads down towards the ground.
There, they could see a strange green gas erupting from the ground.
"Poison gas?" said Tom.
"That's what the skull meant; it's a warning," said James.
"We've got to get out of here," said D'Angelo.
"Run!" said Tom.
"I am running," said Eugene as he ran, but he was currently on his site, so all he was doing was spinning around in a circle. He then lost consciousness and fell flat on his face.
"But Eugene wasn't running; he was lying on his face," said Alex before she fell unconscious.
"It feels like my hair is singing," said D'Angelo and started to lose consciousness. "Can you hear that?"
He then collapsed and was quickly followed by both Jun and James. Tom saw that the dragons weren't being affected by the gas.
"Thunder! Do something!" said Tom and then lost consciousness.
When he came, he saw Thunder standing over and licking him.
"Hey," said Tom as he sat up. "I'm okay, Pal, I'm okay."
He looked around, found they won another ledge, and saw the other Dragon Riders were with him. The dragons must have carried them away from the poisonous gas and onto the ledge.
Most of them were still cold, including Eugene, whose Webmaster was rocking to sleep like an overgrown baby and D'Angelo. Plowhorn was able to wake him up by putting his head in his mouth, which caused him to scream.
Jun was only on her feet, looking rather excited. "Guys! Get up! We're here!"
"Where is 'here'?" Tom asked, getting his bearings.
"The mountain's peak!" she said, gesturing to the peak. "The legend spoke of the Dragon King's son, Ao Run, reaching the top of the mountain. There's got to be something up here that will help Wu and Wei."
"Okay, like what?" Tom asked.
"Well, in the legend, there's a lake. And this…" She stopped, knowing they were nowhere near a lake. "Well, um, we're pretty far from any lakes, but…"
"Jun! I care about Wu and Wei too, but enough is enough!" said Tom. "We were lucky to survive back there, and Wu and Wei are fading fast."
"He's right," said D'Angelo, examining them. "I don't think they can take much more than this."
"We tried your way, Jun, but there's nothing here," said Tom. "I think it's time to turn back."
"We're so close!" Jun argued.
"Close to what?! Dying?" Tom yelled. "Why are you so dead set on believing that story?"
Jun looked a little hurt. "You think you're the first to tell me I'm lazy in believing in myths? I know they may not be true, but the stories exist for a reason. They helped guide my grandmother and my father. They told me the stories as a child so I would be guided by them, too."
She approached Wu and Wei, who could barely move and struck their heads. "Myths are part of who I am, and I can't just ignore that. So you can all go back down the mountain if you want. I won't blame you, but I'm choosing to trust their guidance. To trust my dragon. To trust my heart."
The Dragon Riders looked at one another and nodded.
"If you really believe, we're behind you," said Tom.
"Okay, fine, have a sappy moment," said Eugene. "But before all common sense goes out the window, where is your dragon going now?"
They quickly turned and saw Wu and Wei climbing up the peak. They roared as loudly as they could towards the top of the peak, and suddenly, the entire place began to rumble.
"Uh, what's happening?" Alex asked. "Are they doing that?"
"It feels like the whole mountain's coming down!" said Tom.
"Guys, I hate to be the one to point this out—this isn't just a mountain, it's a volcano!" said D'Angelo.
"Actually, since it's covered in snow, that makes it a snowcano," said Eugene.
The shaking then got a lot worse.
"Jun? Does your myth include snowcanos?" Tom asked.
"No. But it does include…" Then, suddenly emerging from the top of the mountain peak was an extremely large Mist Twister with white and black scales. "…a giant King Dragon!"
The giant dragon then looked down.
"I hate it when Jun's right!" Eugene moaned.
Tom immediately pulled at the dragon back and began looking through it. "There's nothing in here about…" The wind then caught one of the pages, which opened up, showing a picture of a giant Mist Twister dumping normal Mist Twisters down into the volcano. "Oh, no!"
He then quickly rushed over to Jun. "Jun! We got to get Wu and Wei out of here."
"Wait! No," she said.
They then watched Wu and Wei climb the peak towards the large Mist Twister.
"I think… I think it'll be okay," said Jun confidently. "Look at them!"
Admittedly, it did look as if Wu and Wei were relatively calm as they climbed up to the large Mist Twister. However, Tom was still rather concerned with the picture in the Dragon Book, which was rather concerning.
"Amazing!" Jun beamed. "It's like the Dragon King stepped right out of the myth."
"Sorry, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Tom asked and showed her the page. "In this image, it throws dragons to their death!"
"What if it's not?"
"What if you're wrong?"
"But look at Wu and Wei! They're calm," said Jun, gesturing to them. "They must know something."
The giant Mist Twister then reached out and grabbed them.
"No!" Tom cried.
"Wu! Wei!" Jun screamed.
They then watched as the giant Mist Twister brought them towards the opening of the snowcano.
"It's going to throw Wu and Wei into the snowcano!" Tom yelled. "We've got to stop it! Riders, let's move!"
The Dragon Riders quickly mounted their dragons and quickly took to the sky.
"This can't be right!" said Jun.
"Jun, come on!" said Tom, pulling her onto Thunder's back. "Form up, and let him have it! Watch your aim! We don't want to hit Wu and Wei!"
They quickly swooped in and began to attack the giant Mist Twister, and those strangely didn't seem to attack them. Regardless, they quickly surrounded it, ready to finish it off with another range of attacks.
"Okay… let 'er rip!" Tom yelled.
Thunder quickly swooped down and fired off a lightning blast, hoping to force the giant dragon to release Wu and Wei. Sadly, it had no effect, and the giant dragon began to fly away with Wu and Wei. Thunder provided another lightning blast down upon its back, but they refused to release them.
"Let them go!" Tom demanded.
"Come on, you two!" Jun pleaded to Wu and Wei. "Get out of there!"
"They're too weak to fight," said D'Angelo.
"Actually, I don't think they even trying to fight," James frowned
Tom looked and saw that James was right; Wu and Wei didn't attempt to free themselves. "What are they doing?!"
"Wu, Wei! Come on!" Jun beckoned.
However, Wu and Wei seemed content to stay inside the giant Mist Twister's claw.
"They're sick and scared!" Tom concluded. "My book of Dragons says…"
"I know what it says, but the Vikings weren't the only people who knew about dragons," said Jun.
Tom looked at the giant Mist Twister and had to admit that the similarities between Jun's story and what was happening now couldn't have been a coincidence. He looked at Jun, who gave him a pleading look, telling him to trust her on this.
He smiled at her and was about to order the Dragon Riders to cease their attack, but Eugene charged right in.
"Leave my sister's dragon alone!" he yelled as he charged in. "Get 'em, Webs!"
Webmaster then fired a blast directly at one of the giant Mist Twister's heads.
"Eugene, stop!" Jun yelled.
Eugene was too busy singing a song of victory, but it was a bit premature as the giant Mist Twister recovered, and both dragon heads looked at him angrily. Eugene stopped singing abruptly when he saw this and quickly swirled out of the way just as a giant two-headed dragon unleashed its combined ice and heat blasts.
Eugene screamed as he dodged the attack, but the attack did strike the snowcano, which caused all the ice to crack. Then suddenly, the pressure began to build out, and it shattered, sending rubble flying in all different directions.
"Evasive manoeuvres!" Tom yelled.
The Dragon Riders quickly swirled to avoid the rubble, and Jun noticed something.
"Tom, look!" she said, pointing.
Tom followed her gaze and saw that the giant Mist Twister was shielding Wu and Wei from the following rubble.
"It's protecting them!" she said. "I knew it! Wu and Wei came here for a reason!"
Tom nodded and looked at the Dragon Riders. "Guys! New plan. We have to help the Titan Wing!"
"Uh, that thing tried to kill me!" Eugene reminded him.
"Can you blame him?!" said D'Angelo.
"Yeah, he did blast one of their heads," James agreed.
Eugene narrowed his eyes at them.
"And now they're protecting Wu and Wei!" said Jun.
"We're with you, Jun!" said D'Angelo. "Come on, girl!"
"Nothing touches these dragons," said Tom as they approached the giant dragon. "Got it, team?"
"Not one flake," said D'Angelo.
Plowhorn smashed through one of the following boulders, and Feathers quickly filed a sonic blast at another. Both Blade and Webmaster began blasting the rubble with their fire breath attacks. Plowhorn fired a loopy bomb at the boulder, following directly above the giant dragon, and Thunder was shooting them with his lightning blasts.
The dragons were destroying every boulder in sight, but then a really big one flew down directly above the giant dragon. They brace themselves for the impact, but Thunder quickly swooped in and blasted it with a lightning blast.
"Woohoo!" Jun cheered.
"Skies are clear!" said Tom.
They then flew down back to the mountain.
"Good work, Pal," Tom smiled at Thunder, and he and Jun dismounted him. "Now, let's hope we did the right thing."
They watched as the giant Mist Twister landed on top of the snowcano, and watched as they gently placed Wu and Wei inside it.
"You were right," said Eugene, looking at Jun. "that dragon is a bit like the Dragon King from Dad's story. But I was right, too. Per yoozh."
He then clicked his tongue triumphantly, and Jun narrowed her eyes at him.
Then they watched as the giant Mist Twister fired its combined mist and heat blasts into the snowcano.
"Whoa!" said Tom as he looked in front of them.
Everyone followed his gaze and saw that the expanding he caused a portion of the snowcano to break away, revealing a cave.
"Should we?" Jun asked.
"Lead the way," Tom gestured.
They then entered the cave and found themselves inside the snowcano, and inside it was a huge lake. Jun made her way to the edge of the lake, and then emerging from the water was Wu and Wei, now fully recovered. Almost instantly, the two-headed dragon wrapped their heads around Jun affectionately.
"You look as good as new!" Jun laughed.
To demonstrate this, Wu and Wei fired off a small ice and heat blast into the air.
"This lake must have some sort of healing properties that rejuvenated," said James, looking at the water.
"All back to normal," said Alex.
Eugene then looked at the two-headed dragon. "Hey, Wu, Wei, could you too maybe—oh, I don't know—put in a good word for me and Webs? Those guys look a little… Yeah…"
Wu and Wei then snorted at him.
"Okay, never mind."
Then suddenly, they heard more dragon sounds coming from the mist, and that's when they saw multiple Mist Twisters swimming in the lake.
"It's a whole family," D'Angelo gasped.
"This must be their home," said Tom.
Wu and Wei then greeted their relatives, looking pretty happy to see them.
"Guess the Vikings didn't know everything, huh?" said Jun, smirking at Tom.
"Guess not," Tom admitted. "Good thing Wu and Wei have you, and you always have faith in them."
"Yeah, well, your book wasn't exactly wrong, just… maybe once we translated, we'll have more context."
"Yeah, man," D'Angelo agreed, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Plus, we've got and to it. Build on top of those who came before us."
"Yeah," said Tom, looking at the Dragon Book. "Good point.
Wu then suddenly grabbed Jun and tossed her onto his saddle; she laughed as they began swimming through the lake.
Thunder looked on sadly, no doubt thinking about his own family. Tom sat beside him and began drawing more cheerful faces on the giant Mist Twister page. Sadly, they were rather crude, which Thunder pointed out.
"Yeah. I got to work on my drawing skills, right?" Tom admitted.
He then noticed that Thunder was looking at Wu and Wei, who was currently having fun with his family and Jun.
"I know, Pal," said Tom, patting him. "I know. Hopefully, in the end, we can all figure out where we come from."
