Something had shifted in Hogwarts. House unity had gone inside the bin. The teachers had no clue what had happened. But following the core groups split last night, the reaction had been instant. The other students of Hogwarts had no idea what had gone down but all they knew was that Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter were not friends anymore, Ginny all of a sudden had an unexplainable amount of hate towards Daphne and Astoria Greengrass and Theo, Blaise, Dean and Seamus's newfound friendship was over. Nobody knew what had happened but naturally, the rest of the school followed it. Hogwarts is now facing the worst school rivalry it has seen in years.
WEDNESDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER
"Congrats on making the team, Hermione!" Harry praised Hermione in Herbology.
"Well, of course, she made the team, you're the team captain. Nepotism at its best," muttered Theo as he struggled to keep his Bouncing Bulb restrained.
Seamus snorted, "That's bold coming from a Pureblood Slytherin,"
Blaise, Theo, Daphne, Pansy and Draco glared at him. Theo pointed his fist in Seamus's direction and let go of the bulb enclosed in it. Hermione screamed as it ended up hitting her face.
Bellatrix sighed, "She asked for it,"
Hermione slapped the bulb out of her face and threw it back at the Slytherins. All of them ducked except Blaise who got hit right in the middle of his face.
"OW! THE ONE TIME I COME TO HERBOLOGY! Ohhhhhhh, I take back my comment about you being good at singing, Granger. I lied! You sounded like TROLL!" With that Blaise uttered a charm that let all the Bouncing Bulbs out of their garden pots. The students began screaming when the sound of glass breaking was heard.
"30 points from EACH OF YOU" shouted Professor Sprout, "What has gotten into you all?"
Everyone groaned.
THURSDAY 26th SEPTEMBER - 1:04 AM
"You know, I feel kind of bad," muttered Dean.
"Don't, it's what those cheeky bastards get for attacking Ginny!" Seamus said, "And attacking Hermione with those bouncing bulbs,"
Dean took a deep breath. Then released a box of crickets into the entrance of the Slytherin common room.
"Good thing Theo and Blaise told us the password," Seamus chuckled then coughed, "I mean Nott and Zabini,"
7:34 AM - THE GREAT HALL
"Pansy, please sit up straight," droned an exhausted Draco. Pansy currently had her head on the table, her hair looking messier than it ever had.
"No, if I lift my head up, I think I might collapse,"
"All night, all I could hear was CHIRPING!" moaned Daphne who somehow managed to still perfect except for the bags under her eyes.
"You know who did this right," Theo looked crazed with his hair all over the place.
"This has Seamus and Dean written all over it," Blaise's jumper was on backwards. Nobody told him.
Pansy looked up at them, anger in her eyes, "Then hit back!"
Theo and Blaise looked at each other, then at the Gryffindor where the two other pranksters were chuckling at them "We will!"
8:43 PM
Dennis Creevey was running towards the library, his bookbag repeatedly hitting his legs as he balanced two plates of food in his hands.
Astoria must be starving, he thought, I need to get this food to her fast
"Oi Creevy," a voice rang out behind him.
Dennis turned to see Timothy Morcott, a fourth-year Slytherin, approaching him.
"O-oh hey Timothy, is there anything I ca-"
Dennis shouted out in pain as he was thrown against the wall, the
"Don't address me, you stupid mudblood," the fourth year spat out, his wand pointed at Dennis's neck. 2 others came out behind him. Niles Hanley, another fourth-year and Xander Lofthouse, a 5th year.
"What are we gonna do to him?" sneered Xander.
Timothy chuckled, "Hmm I don't know. Maybe I'll think better if he's upside down. Levicorpus!"
In an instant, Dennis was hanging in the air with his ankles up, his bag dropping to the floor.
"Please don't hurt me," the 13-year-old whimpered, tears leaking out of his eyes and dripping onto the floor "I haven't done anything wrong!"
The three attackers laughed.
"Morcott. Hanley. Lofthouse," The three boys whipped around to see Astoria Greengrass walking towards them, rage dancing in her eyes.
Niles laughed, "The Greengrass princess! You've come to watch the show?"
"No," she stated coldly, "Dennis is a friend of mine actually so I'd prefer if you let him down,"
The three looked at each other incredulously.
"Him. Friends with a Greengrass? I see your taste in friends dropped," scoffed Xander.
"I'll be friends with who I want thank you very much. Now I'm going to ask you to drop my friend,"
"And if we don't," sneered Timothy. Astoria stepped closer to them, looking up at them as the three boys were taller.
"I may not be the same height as you, I may not be able to physically beat you, but I swear if you don't let Dennis down I will make sure you feel the full wrath of a Greengrass. I'll make sure that no one will want anything to do with any of you. I will make sure that everyone knows that you didn't listen to a Greengrass's orders and believe me no one will care about my stance on blood purity or the fact I was defending a muggle-born, and if they do I will still have the Houses of Nott, Zabini and Malfoy to back me. So for the last time, put my friend down!"
Silence filled the corridor, the only sound being Dennis's attempt at holding back his tears.
"Liberacorpus" Timothy hissed. A crack was heard as Dennis dropped onto the floor. The three boys walked away fast, not wanting to seem like they were scared.
Astoria dropped down to Dennis's side, "They'll pay for that," she hissed, "Where does it hurt,"
"My leg," Dennis muttered, "You were really brave Astoria,"
Astoria paused her fretting and looked at him, "To be honest with you... I was so scared. I knew they wouldn't attack a Greengrass but still, deep down, I still had the fear that my family name wouldn't work, that they would still hurt me," she looked down, "My family name can't be my only weapon anymore," she looked back up Dennis and wrapped her arm around him, "Come on, let's get you to the Hospital Wing,"
Meanwhile at the same time, on the Quidditch field, music had just started playing.
"Drums
A little guitar, please
One, two, three, four"
"I hope you ready for the time of your life
Just look at me
I put a gleam in your eye
Buckle up, we're gonna take you for a ride" Ginny sang glaring at the Slytherins as she danced, jabbing her finger in Theo Nott's chest, standing opposite her.
"Let's go
We got you going, get in the vibe
Everybody, put your hands to the sky
Buckle up
We're gonna take you, take you high" sang Hermione dancing with Pansy, the both of them glaring at each other.
"Show me, show me, show me, show me, show what you got" sang the Slytherins.
"Come on, come on, come on, come on, ready or not" sang the Gryffindors.
"La-la-la-la-la, let me see how you rock
It's on, it's on, it's on" They sing all together, dancing in unison facing against one another.
"Get crazy, crazy, crazy, take it over the top
Cause we, 'cause we, 'cause when we rock, we let it rock
Rock it, rock it, rock it, dance till we drop
It's on, it's on, it's on" A group of Huffpuffs and Raven Claws watching from the stands began singing-dancing through the seats.
"Okay now, are you ready?
One, two
One, two, three, four" sang Dean and Thomas.
"Show stoppin' when I step in the place
Before it's done, you're gonna beg me to stay" Daphne sang, smirking as she walked passed the Gryffindor girls who gave her dirty looks.
"Get on board
Come on, let's ride the wave" Tracey danced next to Daphne, the Slytherin girls behind them, doing hand movements with the song. Hermione and Ginny looked at each other confused at the hand movements.
"Let's go, let's go
We just do what we do
Watch me break and pop
I'll blast it for you" Hermione got in Daphne's face, a twinge of sadness hitting her as not even two weeks ago the two of them were at the start of a beautiful friendship forming.
"You wanna rock like us?
Cause we're never second place" Ginny on the other hand didn't care about any friendships she had begun to make due to the fact she was attacked, her bright white hair whipping in the wind as she danced behind Hermione with some of the Gryffindor girls.
"Show me, show me, show me, show me, show what you got" sang the Slytherin girls.
"Come on, come on, come on, come on, ready or not" sang the Gryffindor girls.
"La-la-la-la-la, let me see how you rock
It's on, it's on, it's on" the two groups sang, dancing and glaring like they were getting paid.
"Get crazy, crazy, crazy, take it over the top
Cause we, 'cause we, 'cause when we rock, we let it rock
Rock it, rock it, rock it, dance till we drop
It's on, it's on, it's on" sang the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws in the stands, performing an impressive dance routine.
"Okay now, are you ready?
Come on
One, two
One, two, three" Everyone's attention was taken to the middle of the field where the boys were and it looked like things were getting heated.
"The-the-the-there is no competition
That's why we're in the number one position
Your crew can't hang with us
Man, we're too dangerous" Cheers from stands rose as Harry and Dean rapped, some of the Gryffindors behind them dancing.
"Ain't got the style or the stamina
Just doin' my thing
Get hooked on my swing" The cheers got even louder as Draco and Blaise rapped, running with the other Slytherins to the Gryffindors.
"Rockin' the place, droppin' the bass
Makin' all the girls sing
Yeah, we make the bells ring" The Slytherins and Gryffindors boys sang together, dancing as if their life depended on it.
Dean ran up to Draco, put his arm around his shoulder (a look of disbelief fell on the pale skinned boy) and yelled out, "Drums!"
Everyone looked in shock as Neville sat with a Drum kit that appeared out of nowhere, smashing it like he'd been performing his entire life.
Theo was on the other drum kit, the two boys attempting to one-up each other.
"A little guitar, please
One, two, three, four"
Seamus and Colin played on the guitar, the majority of the audience was shocked that Colin Creevey of all people could play the guitar. The bigger shock, however, was the fact that Pansy Parkinson and Millicent Bulstrode were playing the guitar flawlessly.
"Show me, show me, show me, show me, show what you got
Come on, come on, come on, come on, ready or not
La-la-la-la-la, let me see how you rock
It's on, it's on, it's on" sang Draco, Blaise and the Slytherin boys.
"Show me
Get crazy, crazy, crazy, take it over the top
Cause we, 'cause we, 'cause when we rock, we let it rock
Rock it, rock it, rock it, dance till we drop
It's on, it's on, it's on" sang Ginny, Hermione and the Gryffindor girls.
"Show me, show me, show me, show me, show what you got
Come on, come on, come on, come on, ready or not
(What you got)
La-la-la-la-la, let me see how you rock
It's on, it's on, it's on" sang Harry, Dean and the Gryffindor boys.
Everyone ran back to the middle of the field.
"Get crazy, crazy, crazy, take it over the top
(Over the top)
Cause we, 'cause we, 'cause when we rock, we let it rock
Rock it, rock it, rock it, dance till we drop
It's on, it's on, it's on" they sang, their anger showing through the dancing. As they were singing, Astoria was running through Hogwarts, trying to get to the Quidditch field as fast as she could.
"One, two
One, two, three, four"
"It's on!" The final note rang out. Astoria made it to the field. She used the amplifying charm pointing her wand to her lips.
"STOP!"
Everyone turned to look at the unexpected disturbance.
"Dennis Creevey was attacked!"
The second Astoria had finished her sentence pandemonium broke out. Colin didn't waste a moment, quickly speeding to the hospital wing, worry evident on his face. Questions started flying about, but during the initial panic, Astoria had managed to get the people she needed into the Room of Requirement.
"I know what you think I did," she swallowed seeing the Gryffindors glares, "But I didn't do it"
A ripple of confusion took over the room.
"I know what I saw," Dean said firmly.
Astoria took a deep breath and began to lift up her shirt sleeve. Daphne frowned and began to get up.
"I can prove it,"
A/n - the song is 'It's On' from Camp Rock 2. Really hope you enjoyed this.
