Story Start!
The Shy Kingdom.
The newest Kingdom where Shy Gals, previously Shy Guys, from all over the world gathered and made their own home. The location of the Kingdom itself was built on land taken from the borders of the Mushroom Kingdom and Bean Bean Kingdom, with an equal amount of land taken from both kingdoms to make the new kingdom.
Did anyone try to stop them?
Yes, but they were very unsuccessful in the attempt to prevent the Shy Gals from taking the land they wanted to have. The Bean Bean Kingdom tried to stop them, but they were just pushed back by the sheer numbers of the Shy Gals... who were not very shy when it came to taking the land they wanted to take to make their own kingdom. It was a smaller kingdom in size, but it was now still a recognized kingdom by the Mushroom Kingdom and many other kingdoms.
It was seen as the lesser of all evils.
With the Shy Gals now living in their own kingdom, that meant that nobody would have to worry about their women and children being kidnapped by them anymore. So, it was argued that they should just let them do what they wanted so long as they didn't try to drastically expand their borders further than they already had. Which in 13 years they had never attempted to expand, so in the end they became recognized as a kingdom.
"Oh... oh my..."
Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom had entered the Shy Kingdom for the first time in her life, sitting in her carraige as she looked out the window. She looked at the scenery, and she was mildly surprised when she saw that Shy Gals were actually out and about during the day doing work. There had been a recent tornado that came through the kingdom and ruined a lot of homes, and the people were working together to rebuild the huts that had gotten destroyed.
It wasn't a super beautiful kingdom, but it was a kingdom that seemed to be a mix between modern and tribal in design.
She peeked out the window.
'Shy Castle... where the Prince of the Shy Gals lives... this will be my first time meeting him.' Peach was a little nervous that this would end with her getting kidnapped. She still remembered when she was a child, and before the "Pink Virus" exploded out of the volcano and covered the world in the disease.
The Pink Virus.
It changed the world and transformed the vast majority of non-human species into humanoid females... and it changed the Yoshi species into... very large dinosaur-like creatures, though they still had the mostly friendly disposition of a yoshi and were as smart as a yoshi, so while they were big and scary, they weren't overly dangerous.
The carraige stopped.
A Shy Gal in a Red Coat with the Number 340 painted on the forehead of her mask was standing outside of the carraige with a Royal Guard spear.. a normal spear with an orange cloth wrapped around the end of it. She gestured for Peach to get out of the carraige, and the women did just that as she delicately stepped down the steps of her carraige.
"Don't... touch Prince." Shy Gal (340) stated in a whisper as she started to walk next to Peach, leading the grown woman towards the small castle. Peach nodded her head in complete acceptance of that. She didn't need to touch the prince of their people in order for her to try and establish a good trade relation with him.
That was her purpose.
She wanted to continue trading with the Bean Bean Kingdom by establishing a trade route through the center of the Shy Kingdom, and to do that she would need to talk with the ruler of the kingdom. She also wanted to trade with the Shy Kingdom, since among the land that was taken from the Mushroom Kingdom, very fertile soil and farmlands had been taken from them. She didn't want to fight, and she couldn't take back the land by force even if she wanted to.
'They can speak my language... when I was a kid, I rarely ever heard a Shy Guy talk. I knew they could, but they were just too shy... I guess with a prince, the Shy Gals are a bit less shy.' Peach thought to herself when she registered that she had spoken with one of he gals.
The Castle was small.
It was less than a 3rd the size of her own castle back home, and it wasn't constructed with the same kind of stone. Still, it had running electricity in the castle from what she could see. She was welcomed into the castle, and she saw many more Royal Guard Shy Gals patrolling the castle, and when she got inside they would turn their attention to her. They all had numbers painted on their masks, and orange cloth wrapped around their spears.
They wore uniformed colors.
All of them were wearing red hoods, unlike the other Shy Gals who could wear multiple colors of hoods if they wanted to. They were a uniform fighting force, and the second they saw her, they were visibly keeping an eye on her to ensure that she wasn't a threat.
It was hard to tell most of them apart.
They had very similar body types, and they wore similar clothes that hid their features. The only noticable difference was some of them had different skin colors on their thighs, some being white skinned and others being dark skinned, and some of them had different hair colors, though about the same hair style.
There he was.
Now HE was visibly different.
While most of the Shy Gals were around 170cm in height, their ruler was no taller than than 145 cm at the most. Peach herself was closer to 183 cm in height in comparison, so there was a large gap between their heights. Still, she picked up the sides of her dress and gave him a bow as she observed him more closely.
He wore an orange hoodie.
His hair was blond, and the bangs he had peeking out from under his hoodie and mask were very messy and spiky. He wore the same clothes for the most part as his people, only unlike the females he wore no thigh-high socks. His socks only came up to his shins, and he had light blue boots unlike the darker blue boots the red hooded gals wore... and his mask was different.
It was the same, but different.
His mask, on each side of the mouth hole, had 3 whisker marks etched into the mask and then painted black to make it more noticable.
"... Princess Peach..."
The Shy Prince, he moved so that he was standing behind a Shy Gal with a 1 on her mask. Unlike the others, she was carrying a staff instead of a spear. He wrapped his arms around her and peeked out from behind her body.
"Our Prince... Shy... name is Naruto. Come back tomorrow." Shy Gal stated as she gestured for the princess of the mushroom kingdom to leave the castle for now. "Stay at hotel." Shy Gal promised her.
"Prince Naruto... I understand you're nervous, I'm very nervous too. I would like to talk to you about trading." Peach really wanted to have the talk. She looked at Naruto, who was very silent as he looked right at her. The air went tense as she was subtly surrounded by Shy Gals, who seemed to be readying themselves for something.
Naruto seemed to be considering her.
"... Prove yourself, tomorrow night bring 2 partners to shake with."
"Shake with... okay... I guess that would be fine." Peach had no clue what "shake with" meant in this context, but it would seem that things were going well. The Shy Gals around her got much less tense, and the air seemed to lighten up when Naruto accepted her. 'I guess I could invite Mario and Luigi... or maybe Mario and Toadsworth would be better.' Peach didn't know who she was going to have join her.
She didn't know what "Shake With" meant.
Shy Culture was a mystery to everyone these days, so it was impossible to say what he meant by that.
"If you shake good enough to impress me, we will trade... if you don't, we won't trade." Naruto told her from behind his safe place. "Don't trust you." Naruto pointed his arm at her, as a show of distrust. The Shy Gals around started to nod their heads in agreement.
"I assure you, I don't mean you any harm."
"Mouths can lie, so prove yourself tomorrow night... go away now." Naruto gestured for her to be kicked out of the castle, since he was done negotiating with her. Peach gave a polite nod and turned to walk out of the castle.
...
"That went well, she wasn't that scary." Naruto stated when Peach was escorted out.
"Women of other kingdoms are dangerous. They aren't loyal to you, so they might hurt you." Shy Gal informed him. She was Shy Gal N.1, the Commander of the Armed Forces, and she didn't trust anyone who wasn't a citizen of the Shy Kingdom around her prince. She could use magic, which was how she got such a high status. Not a lot of their species could use magic like she could.
Well, she wasn't GOOD at using magic, but that was still better than not being able to use magic at all.
Naruto raised his arm up.
"I want everyone to get the Cave ready for tomorrow night... make sure there is a feast, and drinks, and snacks... and get the music ready... and lights." Naruto wanted everyone to be ready to give Princess Peach a fair chance at earning his trust. "I'll put a handprint on the mask of whoever works hardest." Naruto lowered the sleeve of his hoodie and showed his bare hand.
The air was filled with excitement.
A lot of it.
Nobody needed their faces showing to show how excited they were to get that prize.

"What is going on... everyone seems... excited."
"Prince put handprint on mask of hardest worker... handprint on mask very important." The Shy Gal who was watching over Peach explained in a soft spoken voice.
"Oh, why is that?"
"Handprint important... just is." Shy Gal stated, seemingly sad that she wasn't going to get the chance to work hard and prove herself. She wouldn't expect Princess Peach to understand how important a handprint on the mask was to their new culture. She wasn't going to explain it either, since Peach didn't even have a mask. "Almost as important as kiss mark... wish I had one." Shy Gal sighed and lamented her lack of hand or kiss mark.
Peach didn't understand what was going on at all.
She hoped Mario and Luigi arrived soon.
