15:07:19, the survivors are now flying over the countryside of North Carolina. In the cockpit, Snowden tries to contact anyone friendly with the air ambulance's communications tools.

While in the cabin, Zoey gets uneasy with the Army Ranger and quietly lets Louis know about it.

Snowden: Any friendly station on this net, this is Oscar-3-Sierra. Do you copy, over?

Zoey: (quietly) Hey, Louis, what do you think is Snowden trying to do over there?

Snowden: Any friendly station on this net, this is Oscar-3-Sierra. How copy, over?

[static]

Louis: (quietly) I don't know. Maybe calling for help?

Zoey: (quietly) Or maybe calling CEDA to draft us into war. I think we could be right.

Snowden: Any friendly station on this net, this is Oscar-3-Sierra. Gimme a SITREP (Situation Report), over.

Louis: (quietly) I told you I don't know. But now I got a bad feeling about this.

Zoey: (quietly) I got an idea. *equips M1911 Pistol*

Louis: (quietly) You're gonna shoot us down?

Zoey: (quietly) If we're right about him, what choice do we have?

Louis: (quietly) What if we're wrong? Zoey.

With her paranoia stronger than ever, Zoey takes aim and shoots the air ambulance's control panel to stop Snowden from "drafting her and the others to war". Despite Louis' protest.

Snowden: Woah. Where did this fire come from?

Louis: (quietly) ZOEY, WAIT.

[bang]

Snowden: JESUS MARY! *looks back* Zoey! Get your finger off the trigger!

To avoid looking suspicious, Zoey immediately pretended to suddenly wake up before the Army Ranger turned around, and proceeded to start acting as surprised as everyone else.

Zoey: Oh shit! Did I just shoot in my sleep?! I'm really sorry!

Louis: Wait, what?!

[control panel cackling]

Snowden: I get we're all paranoid at the moment, but SAFETY FIRST! No, no, NO! The chopper's controls are coming apart! We gotta land!

Francis: Seriously, Zoey?! Again?!

Zoey: No. Accident, Francis. It was an accident. I accidentally shot in my sleep.

Snowden: Alright, everyone. You see those oxygen tanks and masks behind you? Good, because we're gonna have to wear and carry them.

Louis: Why's that?

Snowden: We have to land in a middle of a forest fire, Louis. Try to fly any further with these shot out controls and we'll crash. Now hang on, we're coming down fast.

Snowden proceeds to land the air ambulance safely on what appears to be a makeshift helipad in the middle of the flaming woods. Then he puts out the fire on the control panel with the chopper's fire extinguisher and helps Zoey, Francis and Louis put their oxygen tanks and masks on.

Outside, the survivors discuss their next move.

Snowden: Thank God we got all this airway protection gear, let alone individual First Aid Kits!

Francis: Can you fix the chopper, Snow'?

Snowden: Sorry, Francis, no can do. The circuits, buttons and other parts inside are fried. And even if they weren't, I'm not clever enough to fix 'em. Hey, Zoey, if you're not gonna use your First Aid Kit, I'm gonna use your reserve here. Okay? I'm still pretty hurt from Miami.

Zoey: Yeah, whatever.

Louis: So what do we do now?

Snowden: I saw a mansion with an airstrip full of planes before we landed. It's approximately two and a half miles *points north* that way. If we can get to 'em, I can find us another ride to D.C.

Zoey: Do we really have to get to D.C. to be saved?

Snowden: If there's another option besides that, you let me know. Right now, we need to move. It's not safe here.

With a new way to get to Washington D.C. on the horizon, the survivors take a little hiking trip up north. The Army Ranger leads the way extra carefully because he is almost out of ammo for his Combat Submachine Gun, and Zoey, Francis and Louis have no primary weapons again.
