Justice left a message for Batman.

"There is a lot going on in all three Zones. The crime is skyrocketed and police has just small departments with ten-fifteen people in them. The Zone Three is suffering from gangs activity and a strange serial killer on the loose. I have to leave to help my Zone and maybe all three of them. I'm taking all my gear you gave me and a small car when it's all over you can have them back. I'm sorry for leaving you to fight Evan on your own but I have to help people on the other side of the river. W.S"

She left at sunrise and drove over the bridge. She had to knock off guards near the bridge and break locks on the gates but she made it safely and unnoticed over the bridge.

That morning she went to work in the library pretending that she was sick all this time and making the story about crossing the bridge.

-They didn't want to let me go from the hospital. I told them I was fine but as soon as they learned my address they told me that the bridge is closed. They left me in the hospital but because it's a total chaos now on the Main Land they didn't have much time to look after everyone so I left. Just like that my clothes were in my room so I dressed up and left the hospital nobody even asked me. Doctors and nurses have many more people to take care of and those people need real help they all got injured in the bridges explosions. So I left at night and walked to the bridge. It was guarded but not exactly. Those guards don't do anything just watch tv so I slipped through and walked across. And here I am at work again!

All librarians surrounded Justice and asked questions about explosions and how bad it was on the Main Land.

-We are so lucky that our bridge didn't collapse. They say in the news there was an attempt to bomb it but it didn't work out for them. We all secretly think it was White Shadow who saved the bridge. - told Justice Ms. Adams.

-Do you think so? - Justice played surprised face.

-Yes! Of course! It must be her or Batman! - said Ms.Adams

-Right, right Batman. - answered Justice

-But we guessed she left… she left to the Main Land.

-Why do you think so? - asked Justice

-Because there is a disaster going on but also because the Zone now full of crime again. - Ms.Adams and others was sad.

-And I heard about the killer! - said Justice pointing at the door outside like he was standing there.

-Oh! Yes! This is even worse. You have to be careful you live alone! Police said he kills only people who live alone! - all librarians were very nervous to talk about the killer.

At some point in time everything back to normal. Justice was glad that library still remained opened and she could be a part of a normal society in a day time.

Somewhere around eleven in the morning the library door opened and Logan with his news crew came in.

-Justice! You back! - said Jimmy

-Hi! How are you! - she answered with a smile.

-We got a great news! - Jimmy just couldn't help himself not to tell it. - White Shadow is back to the Zone!

All librarians came closer to listen.

-Well…. We can't say for sure. - said Logan but he was interrupted.

-We got a video where a small bat mobile crossing the bridge from the Main Land to the Zone! - Jimmy was so happy to announce this news.

-It could be Batman! - said Justice from her place.

-Maybe but telling the truth Batman himself bigger than this car! It's a car for somebody small it's a car for White Shadow! I am sure they work together! - Jimmy couldn't close his mouth.

-Ok. Jimmy you told the story now we have to make it live for everyone. Let's go to the meeting room we have work to do. - said Logan and walked to the meeting room together with his sister.

-Be right there boss! Hey, Justice, want to go for a drink or lunch? - he never stopped trying to get her attention but it didn't work this time ether.

-No. Thanks. I brought lunch with me today. - she said and left inside the library's shelf rows.

-Ok. Oh well. - said Jimmy.

-I can go for a lunch! - said Ms. Adams smiling with her toothless smile.

-Oh…oh… I think my boss is waiting! Got to go Ms. Adams! Maybe another time! - Jimmy sprinted to the meeting room.

Day was going pretty busy. Without Justice some books got misplaced and there was a huge pile of returned books needed to go back on shelves. She was preoccupied all the way until three in the afternoon when Logan found her deep inside the library.

-Hey! Long time no see, stranger! - said Logan leaning on one of the bookshelves.

-Oh, hi! Yeh… I got very sick and got transported to the Main Land.

-I heard… Ms.Adams said you got away from there.

-Yeh… I don't like hospitals plus they are kinda busy now with all this shit going on.

-Right. Want to catch up? We could go grab something to eat.

-After work only… library is a mess!

-Ok then. Five o'clock, see you.

-See you. - she said and turned her head towards Logan. Their eyes met and she felt something weird in his eyes they were not like before. Maybe all horrors of what was happening in the city traumatized people and changed them.

They met after work in a small dinner place the only one which remained open until seven in the evening. After seven streets of the Zone were dangerous place and all businesses tried to be closed by that time. They got some sandwiches and Justice got a cup of hot tea while Logan ordered black coffee.

-Going to work all night? - asked Justice looking at his coffee cup.

-Yeh…a lot is going on. It's terrible what is happening in the Zones now. It's just like we don't exist for the Main Land. You should've stayed there.

-In the hospital?

-No. I meant on the Main Land. There is more security there.

-No… I didn't have anything on me not even a wallet. I had to come back plus you may think it's secure over there but in fact it is not. They can't find the guy who did explosions. They can't stop murders. They can't predict who and when is going to die next. I heard that half of police department low key stands with the crazy guy as well as people from government, medics and regular people.

-But why?

-Because they are all orphans and he just got them all together as an army or something.

-It's interesting idea. How do you know that he is an orphan.

-I saw him on TV. I know him from an orphanage I got in after my parents died. - she never told to anyone that her family was murdered by her stepfather.

-Wait! What!?

-Yes. I know him but I don't support his views.

-It's crazy… Does he know about you?

-I have no idea what he does know and what he doesn't. But I tell you one thing I feel much safer here than on the Main Land.

As she expected Logan and his team didn't know anything more what she already knew. They had no clue who is that mysterious killer. All this time she couldn't help herself to notice that Logan had changed. He was acting as usual but the problem was that he was acting and not being himself. She tried to ask him about his brother but he said their investigation stopped because of the lockdown of the bridge. He said they found out who was a gate keeper at the plant but the guy got murdered in addition to it he was an orphan. All these facts Justice knew and she decided it was time to finish this friendly chitchat. Logan gladly agreed with her and they left after paying a bill. He dropped her off because it was dark outside and he didn't want her to walk alone.

-There is only your house. The street is empty no even a street light at least one.

-No nothing. There was one house down the street but it burned down.

-It is dangerous! You can't live here especially with a killer on the loose. - Logan was concerned and terrified but Justice again felt only his pretending of those feelings.

She wished him a safe ride and left.

She was happy to get back to her house. It wasn't a great house but it was her house.

Justice turned on a small light in the kitchen and walked to the living room.

-Hi, Justice. Want to talk or prefer symbols? - his voice was coming from the couch.

-Evan… - she walked into the room.

He was watching a Gotham City news channel and now it was his channel and there was his news.

-Or should I call you… White Shadow?

To be continued…
