Chapter fifteen: Rescue Mission part two

Mina, Jiro, and Hagakure had made their way to the supposed hideout for the villains, a location they were led to by their tracking device necklaces telling them another such necklace was inside. Mina used her quirk to splash a concentrated blast of acid onto the brick wall fence surrounding the backyard area. Two drunken people came stumbling by, so Jiro jabbed them with her earphone jacks and made them fidget until the fell over completely out of it. The three girls then made their way through the hole in the wall Mina made, and she had to make a similar hole by coating a metal garage door.

Luckily the metal of that door was significantly thinner than a brick wall, so it took less time and effort. As such, the girls were able to sneak in. When they got inside, they saw large vats filled with green glowing liquid, and to the horror of the girls each vat had a Nomu in it. It was Hagakure who found the tracking device necklace that signaled them to come here; the necklace was laying on a table off to the side. "Girls..." Hagakure said, "You... you don't think that Yaoyorozu was fed to one of those big ol' scary monsters growing in the vats of green glowing liquid, do you?"

"Given that it's clear she was kidnapped for money, I doubt it," Jiro said, "My guess is that they brought Yaoyorozu through here, searched her down, found the necklace she was wearing, and took it off and left it here before taking her off elsewhere."

"Ehh, let's get out of here," Mina said, "This place is giving me the creeps." The three girls then rushed out of the warehouse that they were in, hoping like hell that their wealthy classmate was alright.

Over at the actual bar hideout, La Brava was setting up some gear to not only record a video, but to have said recording go live all over Japan. "So here's the plan," Dabi said to the others, "First, we get things set up so we can do our live broadcast that will hijack airwaves all over Japan. That way, the people can and will see us with our guest Miss Yaoyorozu here." Dabi paused to gesture to where Yaoyorozu sat bound to a chair.

Nodding once, Mr. Compress said, "Makes sense."

"Second," Dabi went on, "After we're live, I'll proceed to send my message to the people of Japan, a message that will be telling them that no-one is safe. From the lowliest homeless bum living in an alleyway, all the way up to the one percent of Japan's one percent. If we want to get to you, then we WILL be seeing you, and there is not going to be any stopping us."

"Is... is that why you kidnapped me?" Yaoyorozu asked, a scared look on her face, "You want to tell the nation that no-one living here is safe from you and your ilk?"

Gesturing to Yaoyorozu, Dabi went on, "Well you are the daughter of Japan's richest family. We needed a member of Japan's upper crust to help us send our message to the people of Japan."

Yaoyorozu glared at Dabi. "...So this ultimately wasn't about getting money at all. It was about getting someone who had loads of it."

"Yeah, exactly," Spinner spoke up, "Anyway, during the broadcast, Dabi after he gives his speech will be-"

*knock* *knock* *knock*

"Hello? This Is Kamino Ward Pizza Delivery! We have your order!"

Spinner stopped short when he and the others heard someone knock on the door outside and announce themselves as a pizza guy who came by with an order that had been placed. "...The fuck?" Dabi said, "Who the hell ordered pizza? And to the bar no less!"

"It was probably Toga," Nagant spoke up and drawing a pouty expression out of Toga in the process, "That girl's brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell the cra-"

*SMASH*

"SMAAAAAAAAASSSSHHHHH!"

Nagant was cut off when All Might suddenly smashed his way through the wall into the bar. Dabi and his crew members were caught off guard by the sudden arrival of the heroes that flooded in after All Might, including Kamui Woods who restrains Kurogiri. Dabi attempted to cast some blue flames, but a swift kick to the side of his head from Gran Torino caught him off guard and sapped his focus.

"That press conference on TV," Mr. Compress said, "It was a diversion!"

The door leading into the bar was opened from the outside, and into the bar walked Tensei. "How did you villains like my pizza guy impression?" Tensei asked, "Edgeshot wold have played the role instead of me, but he's on civilian evac duty with Fatgum and Ryukyu." Dabi as he regained his senses growled in annoyed frustration; he and his crew had been utterly routed, caught completely off guard. They were so close the being able to carry out his plan to make the people of Japan scared that any of them could at any time be hurt.

But because of this surprise invasion by the heroes, Dabi who saw it as All Might went to free Yaoyorozu realized that his plan to get and keep the people of Japan on their toes had been foiled. How even was it that the heroes were able to find the bar hideout? The blue flame villain scowled in bitter annoyance as his plans were now on the verge of crumbling right before his very eyes. "Hey Kurogiri!" Dabi called out, "Warp in as many Nomus as possible! We need some serious backup here!"

"I... I can's warp them in," Kurogiri said, drawing a surprised look from Dabi, "They aren't where they're supposed to be!" Hearing Kurogiri say that drew even more shocked surprise out of Dabi.

Over at the warehouse where the Nomus were being grown in vats, the front of it was smashed down as various pro heroes rushed in to apprehend slash destroy all of the nomus. Mina, Jiro, and Hagakure who all hid nearby were shocked by how forceful the heroes were. "Hey, I found Ragdoll and Pixie-Bob over here!" Gang Orca called out to the other heroes.

"Bind those Nomu monsters," Best Jeanist said, "We can't allow even one to escape! Gang Orca, what's the status on Ragdoll and Pixie-Bob?"

"They're both out of it but are otherwise fine," Gang Orca called back.

Mt. Lady, as she gripped one of the Nomus in one hand while she was in her giant size, said, "Eww, these things are so gross."

Back at the villains' bar where Dabi and his fellows were apprehended, All Might told them, "Your villainy is going to be cut off here. By no means will I allow it to continue on from here!" The Symbol of Peace was feeling that his ability to take action to do what he can to prevent the bad future of the alternate timeline from taking place here in the current timeline was fast approaching its limit. If his memories served true, then he'll be officially out of steam before morning shines over Japan and forced to step down as a hero.

But he wanted to make sure that Dabi and his villainous brood were stopped here. He wanted to make sure he did to All For One here in the current timeline what he did to that most villainous of bastards back in the alternate timeline. He wanted to get stoppers placed on both of Dabi's elite bodyguards, as either one on their own would be a force that could go on to cause havoc untold if left to their own devices. Toshinori knew that he didn't have much steam, much time, left in him before he would be unable to do anything more.

But he swore to himself he'll do as much as he can to lighten the load for everyone else as much as possible.

Izuku found himself in a dark realm, his form mostly cloaked by shadows although the upper half of his head was visible. Ahead of him were multiple shadowy figures, but two were visible enough to him; one was a woman wearing a dark sleeveless top and matching leggings, a bright waistcoat, similarly colored boots and a cape, gloves that reached near to her elbows, and she had long dark hair. She was fair skinned although she did have a small beauty mark below her bottom lip, centered off the the right a bit.

The second person was a bald, punk looking man who wore a black leather jacket left open in the front to expose his well toned upper body, dark pants held up with a belt, black boots, and he had goggles over his bald forehead plus a bandolier going from his right shoulder to left hip. There were also yellow shoulder pads on his jacket to cover his shoulders. Although all of the figures Izuku was seeing were facing him, only the woman and the punk man were visible enough for Izuku to clearly see, and it was them who spoke to Izuku.

"So, you're the one Toshi felt is his second chance, huh?" the woman said, "Funny how he chose his own step-son."

"I was getting vibes that the eighth feared he would fuck up in raising you," the punk man said to Izuku, "But you're a straight-laced model kid any parent would be proud to call their son. I fail to see any bad in you."

"Your progression in using One For All is coming along nicely," the woman said to Izuku, "You're close to being able to use fifty percent of the power safely. You've long since blown past the barriers that locked you away from using more of what One For All has to offer you."

Izuku was confused; aside from the fact this wasn't his first time seeing these people (he saw their shades when he was temporarily brainwashed by Shinso during the Sports Festival), they were saying a few things that confused and concerned him. And what did the woman mean when she said 'barriers that locked him away from using more of what One For All had to offer him'? Small lights flew from the woman and the punk man and merged into Izuku, making his eyes widen in alarm as he felt a surge of power within him before everything faded to white.

With a start, Izuku floated out of the bed he was laying in at the hospital as he woke up, black tendrils of energy flying out of his form. The green-haired boy was alarmed by what all he was doing, and tried to will the powers to settle. Eventually, the powers he was displaying seemed to settle down, but as they did Izuku heard his friend Tenya call out, "Midoriya?! What happened?!"

Looking over as he landed sitting up in bed, Izuku saw that Tenya, Todoroki, and Shinso were standing in the room, having just entered. "We heard noises coming from here while we were outside," Todoroki said, "We thought something was wrong, had Asui and Uraraka wait outside until we were sure things were alright."

"Are you alright, Midoriya?" Shinso asked.

Izuku breathed hard as he tried settling down. He could still feel the floating power and black energy tendril power within him, he knew that he could call them out whenever. But until he got more answers from his step-dad, Izuku was going to have to ask those new powers he literally just developed to wait. "I'm... fine," Izuku said, "I just... just had a bad dream I woke up from."

Izuku crawled out of bed and stood on the floor in his hospital room as Ochaco and Tsuyu came into the room. Ochaco who breathed a sigh of relief immediately made her way up to Izuku as quickly as her considerable self would allow and essentially shoved some snacks from vending into his arms, saying, "You need to eat something, Izuku! You've been out of it for a while!"

Smiling gently in appreciation, Izuku said, "Thanks for the concern, Ochaco." Izuku then sat down on the edge of the bed he was laying in, opened a honey bun and took a bite out of it. After chewing and swallowing, Izuku asked, "So what did I miss while I was out?"

Shinso let off an annoyed huff. "Not only did Ashido, Jiro, and Hagakure break a bunch of rules by going off to do an illegal and dangerous stunt, but Kayama-sensei when Uraraka and Asui tried reporting the matter to her refused to even hear one word from them. Uraraka and Asui here came to me and asked that I send word of it to Aizawa-sensei who not only sounds angry with the rule-breaking girls but also sounds like he'll be tearing Kayama-sensei a new one at his earliest convenience."

"The girls are doing something dangerous?" Izuku asked, sounding worried and concerned, "What is it?"

"Rescue the Yaoyorozu girl!" Tensei called out at the villains' bar as blobs of black ooze suddenly appeared and more Nomus emerged out of said ooze. All Might tried to make a grab for Yaoyorozu, but the same black ooze came out of her mouth and warped her away before the Symbol of Peace could grab her, making him scream out in frustrated anger. The same black ooze also came out of the mouths of all of the villains, and Dabi as he was warped away realized what was going on. If the ooze out of his mouth would have allowed it, Dabi would have smirked at the heroes before he vanished.

"We need reinforcements!" Kamui Woods called out, "Where's Endeavor and his team?"

"They're outside being attacked by more nomus!" Tensei called out as he turned to look outside, seeing that Endeavor and those with him were indeed being attacked by more nomus suddenly showing up from more of the black ooze.

All Might, as he punched a nomu into submission with a single strike to the head, scoffed bitterly. This was playing out much the same as it did in the alternate timeline, although here there were loads more pro heroes, so the burden on everyone was lightened. Even so, the Symbol of Peace knew that the real fight was just around the corner, and as such he had to help wrap things here up quickly so he can zoom over to where he knew a certain nefarious villain would be at.

The only silver lining here that Toshinori saw was that, thanks to his foresight, he was able to ensure that Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero wouldn't be able to sneak off to try and pull a rescue mission here in the current timeline unlike how they did in the alternate timeline. Those three boys had gotten themselves all killed on their little unsanctioned mission to try and save Bakugo from the villains in the alternate timeline, but here where Toshinori made a case to Nemuri, he was certain that the only student he'd have to worry about this night would be Yaoyorozu.

No students would be risking their necks needlessly this time around. Toshinori was sure of it.

...

Mina, Jiro, and Hagakure decided to bail, sneaking away secretly, when they realized that pro heroes had things contained at the warehouse. However, all three girls were suddenly overcome with a primal sense of fear that paralyzed them out of fright. Similarly, the heroes at the warehouse all took guard as they saw someone emerge from the shadows of the warehouse and go right for them. "Who in blazes are you?" Gang Orca demanded at the mysterious figure.

"Did you have something to do with Ragdoll and Pixie-Bob being unresponsive?" Best Jeanist demanded.

The mysterious figure merely chuckled. "Oh, you will have to forgive me, heroes. The ladies here made some... donations... to my cause. Ragdoll's donation was of particular interest to me personally, but the donation that Pixie-Bob made had helped to make the second bodyguard for my dear Dabi fully ready and maxed out. But you heroes and your police allies... you all are standing in the way of my successor and his team he's assembled. I will have to... help clear the way for them."

Then, before any of the heroes could react, a blast of power came from the mysterious individual and threw all of the heroes back. The girls where they hid were overcome with fright, barely able to keep themselves quiet. "...Ah, well this is certainly a surprise, Best Jeanist," the mysterious figure said as he clapped in applause, "Your mastery of your quirk, refined to the highest degree, had allowed you to save not just yourself but all of your fellow heroes. But the lot of you do all seem rather heavily injured."

Best Jeanist tried standing up, but the mysterious figure used a quirk to send a solid black tendril that pierced the side of Best Jeanist's body. "You have nothing to offer me that I am interested in," the mysterious figure said, seeing Best Jeanist collapse as Dabi, his Crew, and Yaoyorozu materialized from blobs of black ooze that had suddenly appeared in the air around the figure.

Dabi, looking to the mysterious figure, said, "The heroes caught us by surprise. Sorry about that, boss man."

"This was something that even I could have expected," the mysterious figure replied, "You have no need to apologize, my dear Dabi. You still have your team, you still have the hostage you took from the heroes as you've deemed her important in helping you send your message to this society that's over-saturated with heroes. You even still have both of your bodyguards, your second one playing with and learning the ins and outs of his twelfth and final gift."

Dabi smirked in amusement. "Yeah, I was able to take Usagi for a test drive since she was fully ready. I kinda wanna see how-" Dabi stopped short when he and the others saw the mysterious figure turn to block something.

They got their answer moments later when All Might zoomed through the air right at them, bellowing out, "ALL FOR ONE!" All Might clashed right into the now identified All For One, creating a shock-wave that sent Yaoyorozu and the villains aside from All For One flying. "I'm going to end your evil here once and for all!" declared the Symbol of Peace, "And I know just the ticket to do so!"

"We've clashed once before," All For One said, "You think you can succeed here to kill me, unlike how you failed to do so during our last clash?"

All Might smirked in amusement. "Who ever said that I would be facing you alone?" Toshinori remembered from the alternate timeline how he rushed in without backup and it had been a tad tough for him to keep track of everyone. But this time, the Symbol of Peace had as many heroes as possible follow him to confront All For One and the other villains; those who were with All Might at the villain bar came swarming in, having taken care of all of the nomus in that area and made things over there safe enough for the police and civilians.

While All Might kept All For One's attention, Tensei sped in, collected Yaoyorozu, and sped out of here with her before Dabi or any of the others were able to pick themselves up. In fact, they barely picked themselves up in time to prepare to fight off the other heroes, with Endeavor leading the charge against Dabi and his Crew. Dabi scoffed in bitterness, pissed as all get out that not only were he and the others routed, but that Endeavor was the one leading the charge that was breathing down the necks of all of them.

Talk about rotten luck.

...

As Mina, Jiro, and Hagakure used the fighting distracting all of the villains and heroes as a distraction to sneak away, they were stopped short when Tensei came to a screeching halt right in front of them. "Yo, you girls are some of Eraserhead's students in the same class as Tenya," Tensei said, "What the hell are you three doing here?"

"We came to try and rescue Yaoyorozu from the villains," Mina admitted, "We just couldn't stand by and do nothing while she was in danger!"

Sighing in an exasperated tone, Tensei said, "Hoo boy, am I glad Tenya never gets up to stuff like this." Tensei then set Yaoyorozu down on her feet and gestured for her to go join the other girls. "Listen, I'll agree to keep word of your shenanigans here to myself if you three take your classmate here and get straight out of here. Aizawa is a chill dude from what I've come to know personally, but something like this will be bound to put a brick in his dryer."

The three girls nodded in agreement, then they took Yaoyorozu with them and got the hell out of dodge. This left Tensei free to go back to help the other heroes, who were working hard to try and keep a lid on the villains.

Back where All Might was leading the other heroes in battle against the villains, Toga made a lunge at Mirko, but the teen villainess was knocked off to the side by Tensei who just sped into the area. "Momo Yaoyorozu has been secured," Tensei said, "Now all we need to do is defeat the villains here and everything will be wrapped up all nice and perfect!"

The Rabbit Hero smirked in amusement. "Well hot damn, Ingenium! I'm getting vibes that nothing will crop up to ruin the mood no-"

Mirko was cut off when Mt. Lady and Gang Orca coughed violently as they shook dust and debris off of themselves. "That... could have gone better," Mt. Lady scowled, "But we're awake now, we can-"

"Best Jeanist! Ragdoll! Pixie-Bob!" Gang Orca cried out, making Mt. Lady turn to see that the two remaining Pussycats and Best Jeanist were all laying on the ground unconscious, all of them bleeding from some bad wounds. Gang Orca quickly checked for pulses, scoffed bitterly on two of them. "...Best Jeanist and Ragdoll are gone," Gang Orca said grimly, "Pixie-Bob is still in it, but she's looking like she's fading fast."

"We need someone to come grab Pixie-Bob and get her the hell out of here and to someone who can treat her injuries!" Mt. Lady yelled out. Hearing that yell, Tensei ran over, learned the grim news that Best Jeanist and Ragdoll had been lost.

Looking around, Tensei said, "...Hey wait, the surrounding area suggests that the big villain that All Might is fighting didn't cause the damage that claimed the lives of Ragdoll and Best Jeanist."

"Yeah, Endeavor's a reckless asshole," Mt. Lady scowled, "But we can bust his chops for his recklessness later. Just take Pixie-Bob while she's still alive and get her some medical attention!" The older Iida brother collected Pixie-Bob carried her over his back, then ran off quickly to find someone who can save Pixie-Bob's life before she also croaks.

As for the fight between All Might and All For One, the Symbol of Peace was now able to cut loose as Yaoyorozu was safe, although help from some of the surrounding pro heroes lightened All Might's load. Even Endeavor was pitching in, and despite how Toshinori had some grievances against the Flame Hero, he could not deny that he was a powerful ally here in the battle against All For One. Toshinori just wished that Endeavor didn't fight so rough and recklessly; his fire attacks were causing a lot of damage to the surrounding area.

All For One tried taking aim at All Might, but Gran Torino zoomed in and struck All For One across the face. "You're going to be paying this night for what all evil you've done over your life, All For One!" Gran Torino scowled.

"Feh," All For One sneered, "Figures that Nana's old playmate would be among those who come to-"

*HUHWUHBAM*

All For One was cut off when Toshinori slugged him across hit metal helmet with a mighty fist, hard enough to shatter part of said helmet. "How dare you speak her name, All For One!" All Might bellowed, "Yours is a tongue unworthy to speak that name!" As the great villain stumbled back, Toshinori thought about his situation, thought about how much embers of One For All he had left.

In the alternate timeline by this point, he barely had enough power left after killing All For One to deal a serious blow to Dabi's bodyguard Usagi when she and Dabi's other elite bodyguard showed up before running out of power completely. Dabi, his villainous brood, his two bodyguards, and Izuku (he went villain in the alternate timeline) escaped afterwards, but only because some of the villains were seriously hurt and needed to be pulled out of there. Usagi was able to walk off Toshinori's final blow, and Dabi's other bodyguard was untouched.

But here, Toshinori felt he had a little bit more One For All embers left by this point than what he had in the alternate timeline around this point. Toshinori did recall that handing One For All to Bakugo in the alternate timeline, combined with having to fight the USJ nomu a bit, were drains on Toshinori's remaining reserves of power. But here in the current timeline, Toshinori gave One For All to Izuku. Even though his step-son got it five months earlier here than Bakugo in the alternate timeline, Toshinori did NOT fight the USJ nomu; he didn't do anything really strenuous here.

The (relatively) easier time here in the current timeline had helped Toshinori to conserve more One For All embers, and he'd be putting them to good use here even though he still felt he'll run out by the time things here are settled. But the Symbol of Peace was confident, with the future in the hands of his rightly raised step-son, in the fact that villainy would not succeed here in the current timeline unlike how it had won out in the alternate timeline. It was that thought that drove All Might to fight All For One faster, hit him harder, allow not even one moment of let up.

The fury and speed with which the Symbol of Peace fought surprised even All For One, made the ultimate evil seriously believe his heroic nemesis was actually trying to kill him. All For One tried to attack with an ultimate combination of quirks, but a strike to the side of his head from All Might, plus a blast of fire from Endeavor off to the side on the arm that would have used said ultimate combo, had cut off All For One's efforts, had sapped his focus. The way with which All Might came at him for a final strike made all For One feel an emotion that he hadn't felt for literal generations, an emotion he had until that moment actually forgotten the feeling of.

Fear.

The Symbol of Evil was able to see just enough of his surroundings to be able to tell that Dabi and all of Dabi's Crew were present, but they were surrounded and Kurogiri was down. "DABI!" All For One called out; there was an actual hint of legitimate fear in All For One's tone, a hint of fear that made it clear that All For One could tell that his end was about to come very soon. Even Dabi was able to pick up on it, and it actually disturbed him on some level to hear the usually unflappable boss man call out with notable legitimate fear in his tone.

"ONE OF YOUR BODYGUARDS IS IN THE RUINS OF THE WAREHOUSE!" All For one called out as he struggled to fend All Might off just enough to send his final words to his successor, "CALL UPON HER! CALL UPON US-"

"SMASH!"

*CRACK*

*SCLORCH*

All For One was cut off, both in talking and in his life, when All Might struck him in his helmeted head hard enough to shatter the helmet and smash into the head hard enough to bash into what laid within the head. All For One dropped to the battlefield, and All Might was on him, pummeling All for One's form with enough fury to make damn sure All For One stayed dead this time; All Might recalled how he did this in the alternate timeline, and here he was ding things much the same. He also heard All For One urge for his successor to call for some rather serious backup.

But All Might still had to make sure All For One was NOT going to get up ever again. He pounded All For One's head until it was literally as flat as a pancake, and then gave the Symbol of Evil's chest the same treatment. Some of the other heroes present at the Battle of Kamino Ward were a bit surprised by how utterly vicious All Might was being, but Gran Torino told a few who asked about it that the villain All Might was pummeling was simply that big of a deal, that it was a villain who, when one got right down to it, simply just had to die. All For One was just that evil.

As for Dabi and his group, all of the girls plus Kurogiri were out of it, meaning Dabi and the guys were starting to feel even more pressure. "Was..." Rappa began, his tone carrying hints of shock, "...Was that really our boss man? And All Might just killed him?" The normally battle-hungry Rappa actually gulped out of nervousness. "We are in a lot of trouble, aren't we?"

"We're screwed unless we can come up with an out," Spinner said, "Any ideas?"

"Yeah," Dabi said, "Use the out that the boss man in his final words gave us." Dabi then raised his head up into the air as high as he could before he began to shout to the heavens above. "OI, USAGI! ALL MIGHT AND HIS FRIENDS ARE PICKING ON US! THEY EVEN BROUGHT ENDEAVOR! WE NEED YOU TO COME HELP US!"

Dabi's bellowed plea resonated throughout the area. Endeavor gave a sneering scoff of an amused chuckle, but All Might who just got up from ensuring that All For One stayed dead was of a different opinion. He knew that the danger to come was very much real, although for reasons that escaped him the dangers here in the current timeline were sounding like they wouldn't be as threatening as they were at this point in the alternate timeline. The Symbol of Peace wondered what was going on, but he had to put that wonder on hold as he, and the others, heard mighty footsteps come stomping their way at a running pace.

Looking over in the direction of the ruined warehouse that the Nomus were being developed in, it was All Might who first saw a being he hadn't seen in ages, a being he last saw back in the alternate timeline. It filled him with dread having just heard that she showed up here in the current timeline, but to see and hear her approach him and the other heroes here made him fear that, even WITH what all extra strength that was marshaled here, there will still be at least a few deaths this night, as he and the heroes present on the battlefield now had to deal with one of Dabi's two elite bodyguards right as she just reached the edge of the battlefield.

Author's notes;

This chapter covers the successful rescue of Yaoyorozu, although the heroes had to focus as much as possible on fighting the villains and Tensei handed Yaoyorozu off to Mina, Jiro, and Hagakure and allowed the girls to sneak away. There's also a scene back at the hospital where Izuku speaks to some shades in a certain realm, right before he wakes up to his friends checking in on him. Back in Kamino Ward, All Might kills All For One, same as he did in the alternate timeline at this point, but in his dying words All For One give Dabi the cue to call in Usagi for help.
