Air, Water, Earth, Fire.

I went off into Republic City alone as a means of being less conspicuous. Having one person probably wouldn't hurt if I explained it as my fictional father being over protective, but it's much easier if I went off alone. The less I have to lie the better when it comes to my cover. I decided it would be better that I be honest about being from the Fire Nation as it's easier for a lie to pass as the truth if there is some truth in it.

Honestly though, I had no clue on were to start on finding an Air Bending Master. Air Temple Island would be an obvious choice but you would have to be invited there and as I am under cover I can't just show up. So I need to figure out where and Airbender might spend their free time around the city. I stop to get lunch first. Listen into some conversations to find out anything of use.

"Did you watch the pro bending match last night?" A guy at the table in front of me asks the person who they were eating with.

"Nah, had to work late. Needed the extra money." The other person said.

I then listened into another table.

"Anything interesting going on lately?" Asked one guy at the second table.

"Been going to the park more, besides that nothing else." Replied the other person at the second table.

The park, that might be a good place to start looking. Maybe. Guess I will head over there once I finish eating lunch. Once I was done I rushed out of there, to look for the city park. I ended managing to get lost though and found myself in the part of town with the spirit portal. I hear the sound of a girl's voice.

"Why can't I get this?" She says.

So I walk around until I find her, she's wearing traditional Airbender garb and long black hair placed in pig tails. This girl appears to be trying to meditate. I walk over.

"If you excuse me, sorry to disturb you." I say to her.

"Ah!" She jumps and then try's to regain her composure. She also puts her hand over her mouth. "I wasn't expecting to see anyone here. What do you want?"

"I am looking for someone to teach me how to Air Bend and I was wondering if you could help me?"

"I am the last person who you should probably go to for teaching. Sure I may have the physical aspects down, but the spiritual? Please."

I sit next to her. "Maybe you just need to find the way that works for you, master…." I waited for her to respond and hopefully tell me her name.

She turned, put down her hand and gave a closed mouth smile before saying anything "My name is Tomoko, my apprentice. And what's yours?" When Tomoko spoke it revealed that she had metal wrapped around every tooth, with wires tied in place across both rows of teeth. She must be in her late teens early twenties from the looks of this.

"It's Showa."

"Your not from around here are you?"

"No, I'm not. Just arrived from the Fire Nation, my dad owns a small fishing company and thus had me come with one of his ships, as to make some money fishing over on this side of the world."

"Well what makes you think your an Airbender then?" She asked the big question.

"I'm told while I sleep that when I pass gas it sends people flying."

"Fart bending, of course. Well let's get going to Air Temple Island. I have to explain how despite not having my tattoos yet I already have a student. Sigh."

I fallow her, for some reason I have a good feeling about her. I don't know why though.
