During their travel to Haven Team RNJR come across a frontier town in need of help. A strange and cowardly Grimm has been attacking the town of Libourne. The locals call the awful thing Bonehead and describe it as a coward. In need of cash, the team jumps at the chance for work. A single Grimm? And it's a coward too? To team RNJR it sounded like a pay day too good to be true.

Jaune can't quite understand the raw suffering that comes through the link to his Soulmate, and yet, he finds he wants to help them, regardless. To Cinder, the tiny light in her soul is the only thing that's really hers, and above all else, she hopes that one day, she'll meet whoever they are. Or; In a Remnant where Soulmates share one another's pain, Jaune is linked to Cinder.

In the world of Remnant, many aspire for change: wealth, power, justice. Amidst the cries of equality and righteousness, youth across all nations dream of the same tales, to be a hero. Huntsman, considered the true bulwark against despair. To others, it is a means of escape from destitution. And yet to these seemingly average few, it is a chance to write history.
