Cat Noir yawned, and sat up in his sleeping box. He'd just had a nightmare, who knew gingerbread could be so scary?
For Cat, there were only two cures for this, scritches from Marinette and a warm glass of milk. Wandering downstairs, a bright light caught Cat's eyes, lots of shiny bright lights to be exact.
The Dupain-Cheng Christmas tree stood proud and glowing next to the staircase, and scritches and milk where soon forgotten as Cat's curiosity was piqued. He'd never seen anyone so shiny, so tempting, and did it smell good!
Checking to make sure the coast was clear, Cat's tail swished as he carefully flopped down under the tree, staring up into the branches. Hm, this ornament looked fun to bat at, and surely there would be no harm.
Bat, bat, bat. Oh, this was fun! Cat's cats instincts took over and soon the tree was shaking as he went absolute wild.
Plonk! Plonk! Plonk! Oops, a few balls rolled off and into the darkness. Oh, bows and wrapping! He'd better pick them up beforeā¦.
Cat froze as he heard a key turning in the lock. No, no, no! He'd been naughty, and he'd worked so hard to get a Christmas stocking this year which would hopefully be stuffed with toy mice. Cat dove under the tree, holding his breath.
"Cat? Are you up from your nap?" Marinette. Twigs and berries, she was looking for him! Well, maybe it would be better if he confessed. Even if it meant having a time-out. Cat slowly stood up, forgetting where he was, finding himself stuck within the branches. He meowed as a needle poked him.
"Ahh! The tree is alive! Spots On!" "No, My Lady-" Cat didn't finish for he found Ladybug's string wrapped around the tree and Cat felt himself and the tree being pulled towards her.
"My Lady-help!" The string slackened, and Ladybug peered between the branches. "Cat? Is that you, love?" "Your one and only, Bugaboo!" Ladybug groaned and giggled. "Oh, now I see you tail. You've been naughty haven't you?"
"My Lady, its hard to resits the shiny, and the tree here was the ultimate temptation! And I only came down for milk and scritches!"
"Hold on, I'll help you out." Cat yelped as another needle jabbed into his paw. Ladybug snorted as he finally came free. "You really put a new meaning to O Christmas Tree!"
Cat nodded, giggling too. O Cat Christmas Tree was more like it.
