"Are you sure you don't want me to stay and help?" Marinette asked, as she wound her scarf around her neck. "No, you go to your sewing class. Besides, when you come back, they'll be fresh cookies and milk, straight from the oven." "Okay, just remember, Mama and Papa are up front if you need them."

Adrien sighed in relief as Marinette finally left. He could make surprise Ladybug cookies for her, if she was here, right? He donned his reindeer antlers and consulted his cookbook. "You know your a cat, not a reindeer, right?" Plagg asked, as he sat up on a high shelf, clutching a chunk of cheese. "I know, Plagg. I just wanted to be in the Christmas spirit and my green sweater didn't seem like enough."

Adrien measured and mixed the ingredients, humming along to the Christmas music. He rolled out the dough, and dug through a small drawer of cookie cutters. "Other bakeries have snowflakes and snowman, while we have the most beautiful girl in Paris! Behold, Plagg, the Ladybug cookie cutter!"

"Blech, the cookie may be sweet, but your sweet sugary devotion is disgusting," Plagg mumbled, cheese crumbs dropping to the counter. "So are your manners," Adrien glared at him. "And what about Sugar Cube?" "She's just a friend, and you know Kwamis don't fall in love!" "Oh, no," Adrien waggled the rolling pin at him. "Don't play the just a friend card. Look at what happened to me."

Adrien slid the cookies into the oven, setting a timer for twenty minutes. It felt good to sit down, as the closer it got to Christmas, the less free time Adrien had.

Soon, the air smelled delicious, the smell of sugar cookies wafting through the air. Adrien's timer beeped, and he jumped up, pulling on the snowman oven mitts.

Oh, how good they looked! Golden brown and buttery, Adrien slid the tray onto a rack, and consulted the recipe book.

"Twenty minutes for cool down time?!" Adrien groaned in frustration. Marinette would be getting back from class soon, and he had promised cookies. He glanced at the pan. Did they really need to be cooled?

"Let's start decorating," Adrien grabbed the red piping bag. Ten minutes later, Adrien sighed. He had held the piping bag the wrong way at first, and a few globs of frosting decorated his face, but the cookies looked pretty good.

Marinette walked through the swinging doors just then, carrying her Starbucks. "No peeking!" Adrien told her, shielding the tray. "Ooh, are the cookies fancy?" Marinette said, setting down her drink and covering her eyes.

"Ta-da!" Adrien said, proudly, presenting Marinette her cookie. Icing dripped off the cookie as it was still warm, and Ladybug looked like she had seen better days. "Oh, its me! Thank you, love!"

Okay, Adrien still had a few things to learn about baking, but it was the thought that counts. And the cookie was delicious. "You like it?" Adrien asked, holding his breath. Marinette nodded, biting into hers. "Its so yummy. But I have one question? How come you didn't make any of Cat Noir?"

Adrien opened his mouth and closed it. He glanced at the dough leftover. "Well, if your not busy, Princess, I'd love to give them a go!"
