Chapter 8: Reindeer:
Jolnir's POV:
I'm an old man now, but that doesn't matter to me. I still have a job to do.
"Maybe you should rest," says Carol.
"I'm fine," I said, "how are the skies, Mr. Warlock?"
"Winter and it should be clear, but what about your transportation," asks the Winter Warlock, "you're not as young as you used to be."
"I got it," I said.
. . .
So, I borrowed two reindeer from Beaivi, goddess of the sun, spring, and sanity. She's associated with many plants and animals, especially reindeer. "Remember, you get them for one night," says Beaivi.
"On Rocky," I said, "on Mitzi!" Rocky and Mitzi would eventually become the parents of a certain red-nosed reindeer... but that's another story.
. . .
The Winter Warlock gave them pellets that should allow them to fly. "Side effects include the ability to talk," says the Winter Warlock.
"These are really good," says Mitzy.
"My compliments," says Rocky.
. . .
We then traveled the realms and started leaving toys.
Mogorb's POV:
There must be a way to put an end to his foolishness!
Santa's POV:
The next morning, I had to return Rocky and Mitzi to Beaivi. "We had a deal," says Beaivi, "one night!"
"But the children," I said.
"They shouldn't have been so greedy," says Beaivi. She then leaves with the deer.
She's right about one thing, I did make a deal with her. I just wish I knew what I was going to do.
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, a new deal is made.
