Chapter 12: Santa's First Annual Christmas Sleigh Ride:

Jolnir's POV:

Now that I got my toys, it was time to use my gift and deliver the gifts.

Santa: Toy cats and wagons and horses and dragons
Toy cats and wagons and horses and dragons
Plus, dolls of every color
Shape and size Plus dolls of every color
Shape and size
Packed and headed for the far horizon
Flying through the starry skies
Who would know I am invisible
To all those tiny, peering eyes?
Here I come down the chimney
If it's slippery, I get to slide
Even those who don't see me here
Still have proof of this my first magical
Christmas sleigh ride
Still have proof of this my first magical
Christmas sleigh ride
All this in one night, albeit a fun night
Is just about the wildest night I know
Wondering how I'll get it done by morning
All those houses yet to go
Some will hang their little stockings out
To dry them from the rain and snow
Here I come down the chimney Here I come down the chimney
If it's slippery I get to slide
Even those who don't see me here
Still have proof of this my first magical Christmas
Handing-out-a-world - of-presents sleigh ride
Not each house has a chimney
But I always find a way inside
Even those who don't see me here
Still have proof of this my first magical Christmas
Handing-out-a-world - of-presents -get-it-all-done - by-morning sleigh ride
Sleigh ride
Morning!

. . .

After all that, Carol and I were both feeling too old.

The Winter Warlock's POV:

Unlike Fred, Santa didn't inherit eternal youth and Carol is human. They are both going to die of old age and Hela will claim then, unless I can convince the Immortals to grant them with immortality.

"Because of the good Santa Claus has done," I said, "the humans name the day Christmas! A man who gave a mean warlock who tried to kill him a toy train, a man who gave someone as heartless as Meisterburger a yo-yo, a man who didn't want to fight the Awgwas who stole from him! What do you say?"

. . .

Just as Hela was about to claim them... "They're not going anywhere, Hela," I said. I gave Santa and Carol the blanket of Immortality.

Santa's POV:

I never knew what it was, but I felt great and so did Carol, and Blinky and Topper! I then got started on writing a new list. I have decided to keep things organized. Maybe I should make a list for the naughty ones too. And that's the story of Santa Claus!

Singer/Chorus: You better watch out you better not cry
You better not pout I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list and checking it twice
He's gonna find out who's naughty or nice
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows that you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake

With little tin horns and little toy drums
Rudy toot-toots and rummy tum-tums
Santa Claus is coming to town

And curly haired dolls that cuddle and coo
Elephants boats and kiddie cars too
Santa Claus is coming to town

The kids in girl and boy land
Will have a jubilee
They're gonna build a Toyland town
All around the Christmas tree

You better watch out you better not cry
You better not pout I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town!

One Year Later:

Carol and I were then relaxing and telling our newborn daughter stories.
