Hana's pov
I am hana Rose from dauntless . I have a best friend whose name is. Natalia Wright. She is acting pretty strangely lately because she is usually not home recently. She always come back so late and her mother who is a dauntless leader gets angry every single day
I also have a crush who was transferred from erudite and became dauntless instructor this year . His name is Nathan pedrad . He is so handsome but I know that I am not his type .
"Hey hana , I am back." Natalia rushes to my house breathless . "Can i stay with you and your family for a night?"
"What's wrong?" I narrow my eyes
"I was caught seeing an erudite boy by Nathan . If he tells my mom and dad , I will be so dead ." Natalia shivers
She is seeing an erudite boy? We aren't suppose to see people from other factions secretly except at school. That's what she is spending everyday after school?
"Are you dating?"i close the door behind us .
"I don't think we are dating. I am helping with the homework." Natalia sits down on the couch
"I don't think that your parent will be angry because of this ." I shrug. "That is really fine ."
"Nathan is going to exaggerate the fact." Natalia is sobbing.
I know that Nathan is really gossipy . Even though he is now dauntless but he is also very erudite as well. I wander what make him come to dauntless
"Wait here , I will go talk to him." I stand up. "Don't leave ."
I walk out the room. When I turn around , I run into max . Max is the new leader of dauntless
"Hey hana , what's wrong?" Max raises his eyebrow
"I am going to look for someone . I am sorry sir that it is accident." Hana lowers her head
"It's fine . Are you going to see Nathan? You were seeing him so frequently." Max smirks . "Crush on him?"
Hana is blushing. How did max know that?is that too obvious?
"No, I am going to see my friend Elizabeth ." I run away as soon as possible
I find Nathan above the pit. I don't know why is he there but I have to talk to him before he tells on Natalia .
"Nathan." I wave at him
"Hana? Why are you so hurry." Nathan folds his arms
"I have something to talk." I am breathless
Nathan nods at me . He starts walking downstair and I follow him. We get into training room.
Nathan pedrad's pov
I walk hana downstair to the training room. Everyone are saying that she has crush on me . Well me too, she is so pretty. She is slim and tall but beautiful. She has very gentle voice and I really want to kiss her .
"So what do you want to tell me ?" I lean against the punching bag.
"Ummmm you caught Natalia talking to an erudite boy?" Hana bites her lips
"Yes I did and I am planning to tell her parent." I nod at her seriously. "Where is her now ."
Hana is blushing. Is she shy? Is she shy for talking to me
"Can you please don't tell them? Natalia was just helping him doing some homework ." Hana is almost crying . "I owe you something okay?"
"Well Hana , how are you going to pay me back?" I approach her and lean into her
"I don't know ." Hana pushes me away. "We are too close ."
I am about to say something but someone is already behind us
"Hey Nathan and Hana , what are you guys doing?" Laura , Natalie's mom is here
"We are just chatting ." I shrug.
"So where is Natalia ? I haven't seen her ." Laura looks at me
She knows that I saw her before . I do want Hana to owe me something so I shake my head
"I don't know where she is . She usually hang out with Hana . If she doesn't know where she is , then I have no ideas ." I am so nervous
"Oh thank you. Please go home early. Hana you have a test to go tomorrow ." Laura smiles at us . "See you soon."
She leaves and we sigh with relief . I turn around and Hana is gone .
"Waiting for someone?" Someone pats me on my back
"Max!" I am shocked .
"Don't be this scared . I am not going to eat you. You were hiding the truth for Hana ." Max raises his eyebrow . "Issue with her?"
I don't know how to say. Hana is pretty and many boy in dauntless must be eyeing her .
"I don't know max . I just think that she is too pretty for me ." I say
"Don't be a coward . You like her just tell her ." Max scoffs. "I like someone else."
"Oh you do?" I am gossip again.
Max looks at me strangely. He must think that I am not erudite anymore
"I think that you no longer are gossipy ." He rolls his eyes .
Hana Rose's pov
I get back home . My heart jumps so fast. Natalia is sitting with my dad . My dad is a leader as well . Mom is cooking dinner . We don't like to eat at cafeteria .
"Where have you been?" Dad is switching the show
"I was talking to Nathan about something." I shrug
"You and Nathan get together a lot ." Mom says
I don't know how to explain this . There are so many rumours about I like him . Which is true but I don't know about Nathan .
"We are friends ." I sit down beside Natalia .
"Anything wrong ?" Dad is suspicious
"No dad , everything is fine ." I yawn . "I am nervous about the test so I talked to Nathan about it."
Dad doesn't look at me anymore . Someone is knocking on the door now . I walk to the door and open it. Amar is outside
"Hello Amar ."I smile at him
"We are playing Candor or dauntless tonight." Amar leans against the door . "Do you and Natalia want to come?"
"Yeah we want to. At what time ?" I am so excited
Amar gives me a number 7. Now it is four o clock . We have three hour before that.
"See you at seven."
Amar leaves and we sit down for dinner . Dad and mom are going for an anniversary date .
"So we are going to be at home late . So you and Natalia can sleep together ." Mom starts eating.
We finish eating as soon as possible because I want to dress up nicely for Nathan . After dinner , mom and dad leave the house and we are alone
"Do you do crush on Nathan ." Natalia leans on my shoulder
"What's the boy name ?" I ask
"I can't tell you." Natalia shakes her head
I know that she is having a relationship issue now .
"So are you going to leave dauntless for him?" I am sad
"Maybe yes and no. I am not sure hana . Are you going to stay for Nathan? I know that Jason coulter has crushed on you." Natalia holds my hand
"Yeah I am going to stay for him." I nod at Natalia . "So if you leave , then I will understand you."
Natalia hugs me . We grew up with each other and I want to make her happy.
"It is almost time so we can change our cloth." I stand up. "I can't wait."
Nathan pedrad's pov
Amar said that Hana agrees to come . When we walk past her house , I heard that Jason coulter also likes her . Who is Jason coulter? I don't even know who the fuck he is
"Who is Jason coulter?" I look at Amar . "I was also erudite ."
"He is the new leader of erudite . Yeah he and Hana used to be friends in school." Amar shrugs . "Jealous."
"I am not jealous . Definitely not jealous at all."
We enter the cafeteria . Hana and Natalia are both there. Hana is wearing a shoulder exposed dress . She is so pretty . I can see that she is happy.
"Good evening hana ." I sit down beside her
"Yeah good evening Nathan ." She wants to get up but I drag her down.
"Don't go anywhere." I say. "Just stay here okay? I am not that scary okay?"
She nods at me . I feel my heart jumps so fast.
"So we are going to play Candor or dauntless ."Amar announces . "Who is first?"
"Me." Hana raises her hand . "I am playing dauntless."
"I dare you to kiss the first male who comes in." Jason volunteers .
I look at him. He is so horrible . I am going to beat him up . Hana stands up and walks to the door . I stand up as well.
"Sit down Nathan ." Amar blinks at me . "Or you are showing them you care about her ."
The door opens and Jason coulter comes in before max . I see that Hana walks to him and he smiles at her .
I rush toward her and drags Hana into my arms and kiss her . I hear people start screaming and Hana stares at me with eyes wide .
"I am sorry hana . I just don't know what I am doing." I let her go. "I am sorry mr coulter ."
"It's fine . You guys are playing dare?" Jason coulter giggles
"I suppose to kiss you not him." Hana is embarrassed
I drag her away . She pushes me away. She is crying.
"Nathan why are you doing this?" She screams at me . "If you don't like me , why you care who likes me ."
"Hana I don't know . I don't know what is love ." I shake my head . "I am also just 20 years old."
"Nathan I don't know what you are hesitating about. I am done with this ." Hana is choking
