"Son, you did a lot today. Why don't you take a nice long rest? You deserve it."

Going over to his father and giving him a huge hug.

"Thanks dad and Merry Christmas."

Shippou followed everyone else out of the kitchen into the foyer. Heading up the stairs taking the stairs to the right with Victoria, Kate, Allison, Peter, Chris, Liam, Ginta, and Hakkaku.

Arriving at his room Ginta and Hakkaku followed him inside and the rest went to their prospective rooms. Ethan went to the library to read the book he got for Christmas. Scott picked up Inuyasha bridal style and walked up the steps to the west wing.

Walking down the long hallway eventually arriving at the doors of the royal bedroom. Using his tail to open the door walking in, then used his foot to close the door. Walking over to the bed placing his tired mate on the bed and started stripping them both. Once they were bare they both tiredly climbed into the bed and cuddled close.

"Good night and Merry Christmas hon I love you." Said Scott with a kiss.

"Good night and Merry Christmas hon l love you too." Replied Inuyasha with a kiss.

Then they both slowly drifted off to sleep in each other's arms. Eleven hours later, both Scott and Inuyasha were woken up by the sound of the alarm. Scott turned over and pressed the button to stop it. Through sleepy eyes the clock says 8:00 am turning back over to look at Inuyasha.

"Babe it is time to get up if you still want to do our daily run. We better go now and have a quick breakfast and shower before Victoria and Liam wake up?"

Grumbling. "Five more minutes honey?"

"Don't make me dump ice cold water on you!"

Sitting up on his elbows to look at Scott.

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Try me!" Said Scott evilly.

With that Inuyasha sat fully up, Scott then got up and grabbed the robes, tossing one to Inuyasha. Catching it and putting it on, Scott walks back over to the bed holding out his hand to his mate. Gladly accepting it and standing up then embracing Scott.

"Let's go babe."

Inuyasha nods.

Both of them walk over to the door holding hands Scott reaches out and opens it. Both of them head down the long hallway and out the doors leading to the foyer. Heading down the foyer and out of the front doors. Removing their robes then shifted into their primal forms and took off.

Two hours later, they returned to the castle doors shifting back to their humanoid forms and putting the robes back on. Heading inside and turned left to the kitchen upon entering the kitchen they saw bowls of oatmeal and glasses of juice and milk also a note which said.

"Morning my king and mate king, I saw that you guys were returning from your daily run and thought to have breakfast ready for you. Don't worry about the dishes, I will take care of them afterwards. Sincerely, Your brother and brother-in-law Sesshomaru."

Smiling at the sweet admission of him they sat down and ate. Twenty minutes later, with bellies filled, the both of them left the kitchen and headed back to their room. Five minutes later, they arrived back at the door to their room, opened it and walked in.

Removing their robes and heading to the bathroom for a quick shower. Fifteen minutes later, with the shower finish and walked out of the bathroom and headed over to the dresser grabbing t-shirts, sweaters, pants, and wool socks.

Quickly dressing because they noticed it was nearly 11am. Dressed and headed out the room. Heading down the hallway to the door leading to the foyer. Entering the foyer and heading out the front doors after going through they noticed Chris on the carriage waiting for them.

"Hey sires good morning!"

"Good morning Christopher, how are you?" Asked Inuyasha

"Good and feeling much better, the last residue of the sickness passed finally last night."

"That is great to hear." Said Scott sympathetically.

"Oh lady Victoria there you are!"

"Morning boys sorry for being a little late my daughter needed to discuss something with me and it ended up delaying me a little."

"No problem Vics we arrived not even a few minutes ago so we weren't waiting long." Said Scott

"Perfect, let's get this show on the road."

Nodding the four of them climbed into the carriage compartment then Chris closed the doors and got up on the usher's seat and urged the horses on with the whip and they were off.

Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the city of beacon hills. Chris stopped the carriage and hopped off the usher spot and opened the door to let the four out. Stepping out the carriage and smiling. Looking around at the scenery Liam was amazed at the many colors and buildings.

Handing a small roll of bills to each of them with a wink.

Don't spend it all in one place and make sure to have fun.

Nodding the four left to explore.

"So how shall we do this?" Asked Victoria.

"Why don't you and I go together, Vics? Scott and Liam go together to explore and shop." Inuyasha said with a wink.

Victoria smiled and nodded. "So why don't we all plan to meet up at the buffet at 2:30pm?"

The boys nodded in agreement.

The four then parted in the decided pairs Vics with Inuyasha and Scott with Liam. As Liam and Scott were walking Liam noticed a small toy store.

"My king, can we go in there first please."

Scott looked to where Liam was pointing at a toy store. The sign saying toys for all ages to fill your hearts desires. Eyes gleaming at that notion Scott nodded and Liam jumped for joy. The two walked inside and were greeted by a young woman whom Scott recognized.

"Hey Kira, what are you doing here?"

"Oh hey Scott well to answer your question my family owns this toy store also how have you been and how is Inuyasha?

"We are great. Inuyasha is soon approaching the end of his pregnancy and tomorrow is my 27th birthday."

"That is amazing news and happy early birthday."

"Thanks."

"So what brings you here?"

"Well this little guy wanted to see the town and the toy store caught his eye. Also I will be needing toys for our soon to be born pups."

"Great if there is anything you need help with let me know?"

"Absolutely!"

Scott and Liam grabbed a cart and hit the pet aisle first. Arriving at the pet toy aisle noticing that most of the toys were universal meaning they are playable by actual pets and newborn pups and cubs.

Scott's eyes lit up at that and he grabbed one of everything since they will be born as wolves and be in wolf form till they are five years of age. Nodding and smiling at his good decision to have stocked up for the time being.

Next they went down the toddler aisle and grabbed one of each of the boy toys for Adrian. Afterwards heading to the young adult aisle and grabbing a few board games for Liam, Shippou and the twins to play. Lastly, they headed to the food court to grab a quick snack and sat down.

"What do you think of the city Liam?"

"It sure is big and bright not to mention pretty."

"Yeah it sure is to wait until you see the rest of the world. It is absolutely beautiful."

"Really."

"Yep! When I was about your age my parents used to take my brother and I on vacations regularly. They were a lot of fun. Each time we went on a vacation we went to a new location, may it be a country, continent or state."

"Wow, do you think I could do the same?"

"I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, but it will be up with your mother!"

"Great, I will ask her if the three of us could take a vacation sometime somewhere."

Finishing up their snack and heading to the checkout lane.

"Hey Scott I see that you had fun!"

"Yes we did and found everything we will need in the coming months!"

"Great! If you would follow me I would be delighted to personally checkout your items!"

"That would be great."

Scott and Liam started placing the toys on the counter and Kira started scanning them.

"Scott, how was your Christmas?"

"It was the second best one I ever had!"

"Second best?"

"Yes second best the first best was when I met Inuyasha. The second one symbolized our anniversary of knowing each other and our mating so that is why it is the second best."

"That makes sense! I remember the time when Malia Lydia and I had our first Christmas together as a poly couple. It was the best day of my life."

"I know what you mean it is like you were shot by cupid's arrow a thousand times."

"Exactly! That is how the three of us felt."

As they were talking Kira had finished scanning the items.

"Your total is $556.98."

"Scott took out the roll of bills from his pocket and handed six one hundred bills to Kira."

"Thanks! And here is your change."

"No, keep it and use it to take those girls out." Scott says with a wink.

Kira blushes! "Thanks, that is much appreciated and have a nice day."

"You too as well Kira and say hi to the girls for us."

"Totally! Bye".

"Bye."

Scott and Liam grabbed the bags and left the store.

"So where next we still have three hours til our meet up?"

Meanwhile back in the city square…

"Inuyasha where to first?"

"Well it is Scott's birthday tomorrow so that is the reason why I wanted to go with you!"

"Smart. So what does Scott like to do?"

"He loves reading, hiking and fishing."

"Why don't we find a sports store and a book store then. And look right over there at a sports store called the Whittemore's sports and fun."

Heading over to the store upon entering Inuyasha and Victoria were greeted by a familiar voice whom Inuyasha recognized.

"Hey Jacks, long time."

"Hey Yash yes it has been. I see you are doing well and from the looks of it you're about to pop."

"Yes Scott and I are doing well thanks for mentioning. Also yes I have just 1-6 months left to go. We are so excited."

"Glad to hear that. So what brings you here?"

"Well for starters it is Scott's birthday tomorrow and he also has a deep interest in sports so I thought of buying his own hiking and fishing gear."

"Splendid and great news my parents' shop is throwing an end of the year sale for everything here 40-80% off."

"Awesome."

"Yep so if you need any assistance on anything just let me know."

"Will do thanks."

"Anytime."

Inuyasha and Victoria both grab carts and went their separate ways.

Inuyasha goes over to the fishing section first. Admiring all the different types and styles of poles. Deciding to grab one of each including an ice fishing tent since they live not too far from a lake.

Heading down the tackle aisle and grabbing several types of tests of line and three of each lure as well as steel tackle and a few coolers. Next heading down the fishing accessories aisle grabbing a few hats, rod holders, ice fishing clothes, and repair kits.

Lastly, going down the equipment aisle grabbing boots, waiters, ice hole pick, and some fishing books. Leaving the fishing aisle and heading over to the hiking aisle grabbing, two survivor backpacks, two sets of camping gear. Coexisting of boots, tools, and accessories and lastly grabbing a in home tent that comes with a stove and sink attachments.

Leaving the hiking aisle and heading over to the checkout. Upon arriving at the checkout Inuyasha noticed that Victoria was paying for her items consisting of young adult fishing and hiking gear. Victoria then noticed Inuyasha was behind her.

"Damn Inuyasha you don't think you went overboard do you?"

"Not at all. It never hurts to be prepared for the worst!"

"That is very true."

Inuyasha starts to place his Items on the line by the time he was halfway done two middle aged adults came over.

"Hey, would you be Inuyasha?"

"Yes, who are you two?"

"We are Jackson's parents. Our son has told us a lot about you."

"Has he now."

"Yes he has mentioned you are one of the very few of the demon race left which intrigued us."

"How so?"

"Well for starters we are of demon descent but our genes never activated."

"Which species?"

"Fox."

"So I take it Jackson is your adoptive son then?"

"Yep. His real parents died in a car crash years ago. We have been taking care of him since he was five."

"That is mighty kind of you to do that."

"Thanks! But back to why we are over here. Our son mentioned that you are the uncle of a fox demon. Can you pray tell his name?"

"Sure! His name is Shippou Tasho, that is his adoptive name but his birth name is Shippou Amara. Why do you ask?"

"Did you say Amara? Asked Mr. Whittemore."

"Yes, why?"

"Amara is my family name."

"You're kidding! Because Shippou had never mentioned a branch family in his clan that lived."

"You are correct my great great great great great grandfather was one of the many casualties of the great demon extermination. But before his death he and his brother both had a child who were taken in by families when they were young. One being the Tasho's and the other the Amara's."

"Tasho is actually my birth name before I got married and the one who adopted your cousin is my brother."

"Wow, what a coincidence of our son meeting the cousin of my family. It would be my utmost honor to offer you a partnership with my son at our store. My wife and I plan on retiring soon and our son is looking for a partner who is better than a relative of my ancestor."

"What does this partnership entail?"

"Well for starters multi millionaire status as well as free picks to anything in the store within reason of course so as not to bankrupt the company. Also membership benefits for health, medical, and retirement feats. Lastly, getting the chance to finally meet some of my last living relatives."

"Why not my recent benefits ended after I quit my job as a teacher at Beacon hill high because of my move and pregnancy so it will be nice to have insurance again."

"Splendid! Give me a week to write out the retirement and partnership paperwork and a letter will be eventually sent out to your place of residence. Lastly everything in your cart is on us as well."

"Awesome and thank you."

"No thank you. If you had never visited the salon my son would have never met you and informed me about a living fox demon. That is a debt that I will never be able to repay but giving you all of this stuff for free is a start. It won't just be the beginning of an amazing partnership but a beginning of your future with your family and pups is the least I could do."

"Many thanks Mr. Whittemore!"

"Anytime have a nice day."

"You as well."

After Inuyasha finished loading the items from the cart on the line Mr. Whittemore took out his card to comp the entire purchase as well as handing him a membership card also a card for insurance coverage lastly keys to a Camaro.

"Really a car too?"

"Take it as a late Christmas present from us. Here are keys to a traveling van as well for your mate and pups lastly keys to a company van whenever you have to transfer goods from state to state. But we would prefer you not to use the company van as leisure travels just for work."

With a nod Inuyasha gladly accepted them.

Jackson leaves and returns with a large trolley to bring Inuyasha items to the van.

"Don't worry about your purchases Yash I will personally take them to the castle. On one of my morning runs I came across it so I remember how to get to it." Assured Jackson.

"Thanks Jacks also here is a note for you to give to my brother and head of security, so they won't assume you as a trespasser." Added Inuyasha.

"Thanks, and enjoy the rest of your day and tell that mate of yours happy birthday for me as well."

"Thanks, you too and I will."

Jackson pushes the cart out of the store heading to the van. Upon arriving at the van, he unlocked the backseat doors to fold down the seats to have more room for the items.

Loading up the backseat and trunk of the van then hopping in the driver's seat and headed to the castle. After Victoria was done paying for the items, she picked out for Liam she and Inuyasha left the store but not before saying goodbye and having a nice day at the Whittemore.

"The bookstore next now. Asked Victoria."

"Oh, I know the perfect bookstore. The owner is a nice old man and has an unusual collection of books."

"Perfect!"

"The two of them hop in the bumblebee Camaro after Victoria put the items she bought for her son in the trunk. Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the bookstore and got out of the Camaro."
