As Victoria and Inuyasha were walking to the entrance of the bookstore Inuyasha heard hIs name being called out.

"Yo, Yasha how have you been?"

Inuyasha turns to see Miroku.

"Hey, Miroku I am good, how is mayor life treating you?"

"It has its ups and downs but it is great. I am really glad that I ran for office. The town seems to be a much better place now."

"Glad to hear that!"

"So what brings you back to town?"

"Oh nothing much besides a little shopping and seeing the sights."

Miroku then notices Inuyasha's stomach.

"Yash, are you pregnant?"

Blushing! "Yes I am. I just entered my third trimester today."

"Third, you're kidding! You look like you're about to pop."

"Yes third it is that because werewolf babies take longer to mature before birth."

"How long exactly?"

"10-18 months."

Miroku's eyes go wide and then cringes.

"Damn man that must be rough for you?"

"It is but I don't regret it!"

"I am happy for you and Scott. I also wanted to apologize for my part in his injuries a year ago!"

"Think nothing of it that is in the past and you're making up for it being the mayor and passing new laws to protect everyone."

Miroku blushes.

"So, have you found anyone special yet?"

"No, sadly being mayor takes up most of all my time to even have a life outside of work."

"That's a shame but don't fret you will find him eventually."

"Do you really believe that someone would fall in love with a cowardly human such as myself?"

"Absolutely! Also don't sell yourself short, you're not a coward you just made a few wrong choices in the past but you made up for it."

"Thanks!"

"Anytime!"

Miroku and Inuyasha share a brief hug.

"Goodluck on your pups and future endeavors Yash."

"Thanks Miroku and good luck with being mayor for the years to come and finding a mate as well."

They broke the hug and Miroku left them and headed to the mayor office to start his duties for the day. Inuyasha and Victoria continued on the way to the bookstore. Ten minutes later, they arrived and walked inside.

"Good Afternoon, have a look around I will be with you in a moment."

Inuyasha went straight to the fantasy section and Victoria went over to the history section to see the collections. Five minutes later, the bookstore owner came from the back.

"Welcome, is there anything I can help you to find?"

But before the bookstore owner got a response he noticed a familiar figure over at the fantasy section. Going over to reunite with his favorite customer after so long.

"Is that you Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha looks up and sees the owner.

"Hey, Naraku! It has been a long time?"

"Yes it has been, where have you been and what happened to you?"

"Well long story short I got married and am expecting."

"Wait, you're pregnant, who is the father?"

At the mention of the word father the doorbell rang. Inuyasha turned around and saw Scott and Liam at the entrance. Running over to Scott and giving him a hug and kiss.

"Hey baby, did you miss me?"

"Yes!"

Naraku walks over to the entrance to greet the newcomers.

"Hi, my name is Naraku. I am the bookstore owner and who might you be?"

"This is Scott, my husband as well as my mate and the father of these babies that I am carrying."

"Hi, sir, it is nice to meet you. My husband had told me all about this lovely little bookstore you have. I gotta say it is quite something."

"Thanks you're too kind."

"Anyway is there anything I can help you find Scott?"

"No, I am only here to bring this little one back to his mother and for him to see the town."

Liam and Inuyasha slipped away unnoticed and went over to the fantasy section. Liam began searching and then noticed a book about a lion, witch, and a wardrobe as well a book about a prince and a book about a ship picking them up and running over to his mother.

"Mom, can I get these please?"

Victoria looks at the books that her son had picked out.

"Let me see what you got there?"

Looking at the titles and at the back descriptions then acknowledging that the books he had chosen sound like great reads and nodded. Jumping for joy Liam rushes over to the counter to pay for the books.

"Looks like the little tike found some good books. It always brings a smile to my face when I see a youngster so happy about my books. Anyways it was nice meeting you Scott."

"Likewise Naraku."

Naraku walked over to the counter and went behind it to scan the books that Liam had picked out.

"That will be $25 little man."

"Reaching in his pocket to pull out the roll of cash and then handing a fifty to Naraku."

"Here you go your change. Please come again and have a nice day."

Walking back over to his mother with the books held in his arm with a smile on his face.

Scott walks over to the counter.

"Naraku, do you have anything on mating rituals and pregnancy remedies I am asking for a friend?"

"Let me see!"

Naraku turns to his computer to look up what Scott asked for and a minute later he looks back to Scott.

"Ah yes I have one copy of each left in stock in the back just give me a sec to grab them for you."

Scott nods.

Three minutes later, Naraku returns.

"Here you go!"

"How much do I owe you?"

"Nothing they are on the house."

"Are you sure they are pricey?"

"Yes, for someone who is a friend of my favorite customer I can let go of $150 worth of product."

"Thanks, my friend will be thrilled to have these."

"Anytime."

Scott then goes over to the bench to sit down since he has been lugging several bags of toys for over an hour. Inuyasha continues to search the fantasy shelf to see if anything will catch his eyes.

After ten minutes of searching Inuyasha finally finds an entire book series about were creatures and true mates called the doubt series. Grabbing the last copies of the series off the shelf and sneakingly walks up to the counter so Scott wouldn't see what he was holding.

"Hey Naraku, just these please!"

"Oh great choice that is one of my top sellers series next to The Olympians, Twilight and Hunger will be $225.75 but since you're my favorite customer I will give them to you for $200."

"Sweet! Reaching into his pocket and pulling out four fifties then handing them to Naraku."

"Here you go and congratulations on your mating and pups Inuyasha."

"Thanks Naraku, you take care man."

"Oh I will don't you worry."

Victoria reluctantly leaves the store empty handed since she didn't find any books that piqued her interest and the other two went over to the bench and each grabbed two bags of toys and Scott grabbed the last three and then the three of them left as well.

"Thanks come again. Naraku called out as they were leaving."

The three of them smiled and left the store heading to the camaro and putting the books in the trunk and the four of them hopped in the car. Inuyasha started up the car and drove to the center of the town to inform Chris to meet them back at the castle then headed for the buffet.
