How I think the ending of First Duty should have ended.

Here is my one shot of what happened the morning after Beverly left Picard in Attached. I like to do one shots of missing scenes, so this fits with canon and is my idea of what happened. Hope you enjoy it!

After the encounter with Lore and Dr. Soong, Geordi attempts to comfort Data. Data does not require comforting, of course, but he appreciates it in his own way. Post 4.03 ("Brothers").

The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D encounters a time rift on a routine mission. Investigating the anomaly, a ship emerges from the rift, and everything changes. Suddenly the Enterprise D and Starfleet are living in a new reality where the Federation is at war with the Klingon Empire. The ship is the Enterprise C, the Enterprise-D's predecessor, and a choice needs to be made.
