Chapter 3

(Darien's home)

I woke up the next day with the sun shining directly in my face. I was too hung over and my head was pounding. I groaned and stretched out on my king side bed when I realized someone else was in the bed with me. Ann. Where did she come from? Come to think of it how the hell did I even get home? Parts of last night was starting to come back to me, I really needed to stop drinking so much.

Good morning my prince she said. I glanced over at her, but I didn't say anything. I was in no mood for her early morning antics. I had just remembered that today was Friday and I needed to get ready for school. I inwardly cursed at Tom, who the hell throws a party on a Thursday.

There was a knock on my door. Good morning master Darien will you and your guest be joining the family in the personal dining room before school. It was Jerry our head butler he's been working for our family since before I was born. My mother must have sent him to be nosy because everyone knows my quarters is my own sanctuary it's the only place, I can actually get a little privacy, I came here to escape and think at times.

Tell my mother no I'll be late for school, but I will come down to say goodbye. Very well master Darien Jerry responded closing my double doors to my room. I got up walking pass Ann to get in the shower, I stood in the shower allowing the water to run over my head. I had to apologize to the girls today, I didn't need them to be mad at me. They really hadn't done anything to deserve the treatment I was giving them.

I told Ann to get her things ready and look presentable we were going downstairs to meet my family. I could tell she loved the idea of meeting my family because she jumped out of my bed so fast to run into the bathroom to freshen herself up. After ten minutes ann finally came out the bathroom. Hey, I'll take you by your house to get your things before school I said to Ann. I mean I wasn't a true asshole.

We made it downstairs to the main dining room where my mom Kimberly, my dad August, and my 14-year-old little sister Ashley were having breakfast. I introduced them all to Ann I can see the excitement in my mom's eyes as she got up to hug Ann. I knew my family wanted me to stop my playboy ways and start getting serious, but I would one day when I felt the time was right. But whomever I chose to settle down with or marry wouldn't be just some ordinary girl especially not one from the second ring.

Oh, my goodness, Darien who is this charming angel please tell me you've finally got yourself a girlfriend. Mom seriously, I responded she's just a fried from school but listen we have to go I love you all see you tonight. Darien, my dad stopped me, make sure you treat people especially the ladies better you may run into your future wife out there one day, and your snooty attitude may turn her away. Ann face lit up as she was walking with me out of my home, she could see herself being my wife. The next Mrs. Shields that name definitely held power to it. She would have billions of dollars at her disposal access to things only citizens of the hill had access too. She already felt she was my best option; she was the only girl I actually kept coming back to all these years. If I could read her mind, I would definitely bet Ann knew she was in first place to claim my heart. But little did she know, there was no winner or loser in my book all these girls were the same a quick piece of ass to get off. I mean don't get me wrong Ann was probably the second-best looking girl in school behind mina, she was probably just as fashionable too, but like I said this was Mina's group and mina said Ann just does not fit.

I had all the intentions in the world of taking my brand-new motorcycle today but thought otherwise I didn't want to have Ann in the back of my bike. So, we settled for one of my cars. As we got into the car, I turned the stereo up loud so that Ann couldn't say anything to me. Soon we were off to Ann's house in the 2nd ring, there with no conversation between us. Just the way I planned it. Ann was probably thinking of how to get in good with my family now since they gave her these unwelcome thoughts in her head.

(Serena)

Princess, are you sure you don't want to start school on a Monday? Luna asked. Maybe since it was Friday maybe you would feel better getting a fresh start on a Monday.

Absolutely not Serena responded, I've been waiting for this day for too long. I'm tired of going out being covered from head to toe I can't even enjoy myself on family vacations and trips I have to stay back in the family castles in the other countries, there's no way I'm missing my first chance to interact with people my own age and the best part I get a clean slate because no one will know it's actually me she gleamed with joy.

A huge sigh came from Luna. If anyone knew this girl, it was definitely her. She knew there was no arguing with her. Luna sat and remembered her days as a young girl in high school, kids could be cruel to one another, she only prayed to the heavens that the students would be gentle to her girl. Luna loved her like she was her own daughter.

Artemis soon walked up to them don't worry Luna, you'll give yourself wrinkles and besides there's nothing to worry about the four generals will be accompanying her. And almost on cue the boys walked over to them dressed like regular schoolboys instead of their military uniforms they usually wear.

Come on let's get a move on it I'm ready, nephrite said impatiently I'm ready to get this show on the road. Patience nephrite, school doesn't even start for another 45 minutes kunzite responded. Serena and the other generals just sighed they were just as eager as she was.

It was finally time for the group to leave and Luna and Artemis had all the document prepared for the school for Serena's secret life. They all piled up into the diplomatic limo indicating they were indeed special individuals. They knew not to drive the royal vehicles with the family crest that would cause more attention than they already expected they would already get. Serena could hardly keep her composure in the limo she was fidgeting and asking the driver how much longer every two minutes.

They were finally pulling up the school and all the students stopped and stared they were all very anxious to see who would be stepping out of the car. Out stepped Luna and Artemis first, followed by the four generals and last was Serena.

Serena stood there she was taking in the sights she didn't want to miss a thing she didn't even notice the other students gapping at her. The group of seven prestigious looking people proceeded to walk into the school.

Wow was that just the generals of the royal family, and who was that girl they were standing with. One of the students said in the distance. That is definitely the general and Captain Artemis too and his wife Luna, but I have no idea who the girl is, but it actually looks like Mina and the others may have some competition this school year the other student responded.

(At the school)

Rei, Ami, Lita, and Mina all were standing outside when a stretch limo arrived with the diplomatic flags indicating someone from a noble family had just arrived. All the students that were standing around talking to them hurried to see who was getting out of the car.

The girls slowly walked together towards the crowd to see what the commotion was about to get a better look. That's when they noticed an older couple probably in their early 40s step out the car the man who had on a military uniform with long white hair stepped out first they immediately recognized him as the captain of the royal army Artemis, he held his hand out to a beautiful woman in a gold and black dress as she step out to the car with long black hair he kissed her hand as he guided her to the side. This has to be his wife Luna, Ami acknowledged them. Then as the two stepped to the side a young blonde boy with short hair and blue eyes stepped out then a brunette boy with long hair and brown eyes was next.

Many of the female students started to scream they recognized them they were always with the royal family wherever they went. The whole world knew these young, gifted boys as the royal special guards known as the generals. Next came another blonde with longer hair and green eyes. And followed by him was a silver haired boy with light grey eyes.

What was going on Lita asked why the generals would be attending our school. Then that's when they noticed everyone grew silent like everything stood still, a beautiful girl who looked like an angel herself with delicate features with blonde hair and blue eyes stepped out with her mouth wide open like she'd never seen a school before let alone the outside world.

Who was this girl?

(Darien's car)

I had just finished stopping by Ann's house for her to get her things and was finally driving with her on our way to school. Ann was talking about various amounts of things that I wasn't paying much attention to. I knew one of her questions consisted of what our plans were for the weekends and if we could invite the girls. Little did she know the girls wouldn't be at least bit of interested in hanging with Ann.

As we got out the car, I noticed no one was rushing to my car and everyone was standing elsewhere talking. I also noticed that the girls hadn't been calling me either. Did I do something wrong maybe they were still mad at me about that party last night.

I proceeded to walk to the school, and I heard a little of what the students were talking about. "Did you see them, what could the generals be doing here do you think they'd be actually going to our school, or do you think they're just escorting that young girl?" One of the male students in the group could be heard saying "man speaking of that girl she was beautiful" the other male student said.

So, it appears we have new students, and the four generals are here as well this should be interesting, I thought to myself, this may be my chance to use them to get into the castle and then win the heart of this supposed troll of a princess and next the king and queen would be begging me to marry their daughter and then here comes KING DARIEN!

(Inside of the school)

Luna proceeded into the school office, hello my name is Luna my husband and I are here enrolling a noble born visiting from the western country of sea-slides you will see here that I have the crest sealed letter of the king here for recommendations to send her to your fine and wonderful establishments. And by the royal family wishes I will also be enrolling the generals to guide her and to protect her. The school staff welcomed Luna and told her how happy they were to be able to have more nobles attending their school. The school staff started by explaining that even though they were already accepted they still need to take a placement test to determine where they stood academically.

Luna stepped out and told the five teenagers what the office just told her, and she heard four upset groans because Zoisite was actually excited about taking test since he was the nerd of the group.

The test seemed to go on forever, but Serena knew most of these answers, her and generals and most of the staff's children of the castle were privately taught by the finest instructors the world had ever seen. Most of it had to do with the history of the royals which of course she had to know she was sure she probably got everything right. Soon she noticed zoisite stood up, he must have been done with the 500-question exam. He looked smug because he knew he scored high. Next was kunzite he was always so serious so Serena couldn't really tell what he thought of the exam. Finally, Serena was next, and she was escorted with the rest of the group who was still waiting for the other two to get done.

Thirty more minutes went past, and everyone was done. The school's dean Mrs. Haruna came in next to tell them they were getting their scores ready and if they needed anything to let her know. Jed took this time to make smart remarks about how they needed to hurry up and Neph agreed they were ready to meet some of the students and make friends. Now boys, Artemis chimed in remember you are still technically on duty, do not get sidetracked keep Serena in your sights at all times.

Serena only huffed, knowing the generals she would never make any friends at this rate they would all be too afraid to approach her.

Finally, mrs Haruna returned with a huge smile on her face. Wow these scores are all very impressive she remarked. No one batted an eye this was nothing new to them. I want to place you all in advanced classes is it possible. Luna felt like a proud parent and was just about to agree when Serena stood up interrupting them. With all due respect I will have to decline. Everyone just looked at her. I plan to finish my last two years of high school there is no rush. Mrs Haruna was impressed, well ok but can I suggest at least one advance class can we upgrade you to one senior class of your own choice. Serena sat there thinking about the offer. Then she agreed on history.

Haruna was going around the room talking to the generals asking them their choice of taking advanced classes and they all disagreed they as well would however take history with Serena that way it would be much easier to keep an eye on her.

Well, everything is settled Haruna said with a big smile on her face she couldn't believe it students like this would give her school so much more good recognition. She would go down as one of the greatest deans ever. But before she could finish her victory speech in her head luna interrupted. I have one last condition luna stated with all seriousness in her voice. One of the generals must take one class off their schedule to keep an eye on Serena at all times.
