Hi everyone, Rosestar48 here! Today we'll be finishing the Duel between Yuzu and Michio.
An Exciting Performance! A Fulfilling Meal!
"Welcome to the exciting recap!" Nico announces. "Taking on the Cooking Duel Prince, Michio Makota, to qualify for the Junior Youth Championship, the hungry Yuzu is striving to become a pro duelist, but… her Pendulum Summoned monsters were shockingly served up and wiped out!" He recaps. "Now then, will Yuzu be able to overcome this trail?!" Nico wonders. "And then, there is also this man is facing his own tribulations!" He announces.
Meanwhile, Gongenzaka was training himself by hauling a boulder over a cliffside. "I have to improve my Steadfast Dueling now more than ever!" Gongenzaka promise. "Yuzu! Don't give up, and win your way to the top!" He urges her.
Back at the Duel, "Damn it" Yuzu cursed at her own predicament, while Michio smiles calmly. "I set one card…and end my turn" Yuzu said. "Yuzu's Pendulum Monsters were…" Tatsuya recalls. "all taken out!" Ayu recalls. "But since Michio lost all of his Cooking monsters, aren't they even?" Futoshi asks. "I wonder about that…" Michio says. "Well then, it's my turn. Draw!" He declares. "There are three cards inside of the Food Cemetery. All the prep-work is ready!" Michio remarks. "I activate the Continuous Spell: Regal Recipes' effect!" He declares. "This card allows me to Special Summon as many Royal Cookpals from my hand as I have cards inside of the Food Cemetery!" Michio explains. "There are three cards inside of the Food Cemetery…so that means all three of the Royal Cookpals from before are going to come back?" Yuzu realizes. "Your order is ready! One Knight Pasta! (ATK: 300) One Prince Curry! (ATK: 300) And one Princess Pudding!" Michio exclaims (ATK: 300). "I know they're fearsome monsters, but…" Yuzu notes as she stares the monsters down, but her stomach growls "they seem so delicious!" She remarks. "I'll let that starving belly of yours have its fill then!" Michio says. Yuzu wonders what he meant by that. "You'll take 300 points of damage for each monster Special Summon by Regal Recipes!" Michio explains. Pellets of energy hit Yuzu on her face, her stomach, and her bottom (Yuzu's LP: 1700). "How was it? I think it might have been a bit much fir your empty stomach…" Michio asks. Maiko continues recording the Duel "You're doing great, Michio!" She congratulates her son.
At Aiichiro's said chef is watching the Duel from his tablet "But the taste of perfect recipe is amazing, isn't it?" Michio says. "A perfect recipe, huh…" Aiichiro wonders before continuing his work. "At this moment, Knight Pasta's effect activates!" Michio declares. "Once per turn, it can double another Royal Cookpal's ATK!" He explains as he doubles Prince Curry's ATK (Prince Curry's ATK: 600). "And after that, I activate the same effect with Princess Pudding! Doubling it again!" Michio declares as he doubles Prince Curry's ATK again (Prince Curry's ATK: 1200). "It's another one of Michie's set menus!" The housewives watching the Duel squee. "However, monsters who use this effect cannot attack this turn!" Michio continues. Yuzu manages to get up "Your remaining life is just 1700. Prince Curry only needs a little more seasoning to finish you off" Michio points out. Michio jumps up a series of saucers "Ah, this'll do, how convenient!" Michio states as he finds and taking an Action Card on the third one. "Looks like the Goddess of Cooking is smiling on me!" Michio satisfied. "Action Spell! Victory Topping activates!" He declares. "For the rest of this turn, a monster's ATK will increase by 600!" Michio explains. Tonkatsu materializes on the shield of Prince Curry "Isn't that..?" Ayu comments. "It's tonkatsu!" Tatsuya exclaims (Prince Curry's ATK: 1800). "It's time I put an end to this! Battle Phase! I make a direct attack with Prince Katsu Curry!" Michio declares. "If this attack goes through, Yuzu will…!" Tatsuya exclaims. "Trap Activate: Melodious Call!" Yuzu declares. "This card negates a direct attack!" She explains and Prince Curry stops it attack. "I can also add Melodious from my Deck to my hand, whose total DEF equal the negated monster's ATK!" Yuzu continues. "Prince Curry's ATK is 1800…allowing me to add the DEF 1000 Rhyhim The Melodious Divaand DEF 800 Lyra the Melodious Diva to my hand!" She states. "But, the turn these monsters are summoned, I cannot summon monsters from my Extra Deck!" Yuzu explains. "You negated the direct attack and added monsters to your hand…Looks like you've got it after all" Michio takes note of Yuzu's earlier tactic. "Then I shall as well…Trap Card: Canning Cuisine activates" He counters. "When my opponent adds cards to their hand outside of their Draw Phase, I can choose the same amount of Cookpal cards from my deck and put them into the Food Cemetery!" Michio explains. "With that, I add Cookpal Lionion and Rabbitomato into the Food Cemetery!" He states. "He's added cards to the Food Cemetery again!" Yuzu exclaims. "Furthermore, I active the Spell Card: Food Fraud!" Michio declares. "Adding two Royal Cookpals from my deck to my hand!" He explains. "The cards I'm adding to my hand are Royal Cookpal King Burger and Queen Omelette!" Michio declares. "He got two more Royal Cookpals to his hand…" Yuzu whispers. "What do you think of my fabulous prep-work?" Michio asks Yuzu. "However, the monsters added to my hand by this effect cannot be summoned this turn" He adds. Michio jumps down to his original spot "I end my turn with that. At this point, Victory Topping, Princess Pudding and Knight Pasta's effect wear off…and Prince Curry's ATK returns to normal" He states (Prince Curry's ATK: 300). Said monster appears disappointed as its tonkatsu disappears.
"When his turn comes again, he'll have five Royal Cookpals out, I have to do something before that happens!" Yuzu realizes. "My turn!" She declares and draws Wall of Disruption. "I can't do anything with a Trap Card!" Yuzu displease. "If it's come to this, I've got to bet it all on an Action Card!" She decides as she leaps from saucer to saucer to try to reach one on a high plate. However, her stomach growls again "I can't do it! I', so hungry, my strength is…" Yuzu realizes, causing her to fall on her back. The children are concerned, "Sheesh, that's what you get for running out without eating breakfast!" Shuzo chides as he come in. He tossed Yuzu a package, which she catches. "Dad! Why are you-" Yuzu asks. "Hurry up and eat that and get to it!" Shuzo tells her. Yuzu opens the package, which contains pancakes "Awesome! It's Dad's pancakes! Time to eat!" Yuzu yells. She takes a bite out of it and looks inside "Wait…this is?" Yuzu wonders. "It's a sandwich using the Mille-Feuille Tonkatsu you didn't eat!" Shuzo reveal. She takes another bite as her eyes tear up. "It's delicious!" Yuzu exclaims. "I made that Mille-Feuille Tonkatsu using Michie's recipe so it's prefect, isn't it? And to add to it, I put it in between some pancakes!" Shuzo says. "He added something to my perfect recipe!?" Michio angered. "Perfect…Add to it…" Yuzu says. before finishing off the pancake sandwich. "All right, charge complete!" Yuzu reenergized as she rises. "I have Arial and Dulcet on the Field, setting my Pendulum Scale to 1 and 9! With this I'm able to summon any monsters between Levels 2 and 8!" Yuzu declares. "Don't do it! If you summon them now they'll just get destroyed again!" A distressed Tatsuya urges Yuzu. But Yuzu ignores him "Sway, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw the arc of light across the aerther! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters!" She chants. "In DEF position, Rhyhim the Melodious Diva (DEF: 1000) and Lyra the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu declares (DEF: 800). "Our new couple of customers have leapt into the fire themselves" Michio welcomes his new customers. "I activate the Royal Cookpals' effects! Full House of Full Stomachs!" He declares. Princess Pudding and Knight Pasta former force-feeding Rhyhim and the latter doing the same to Lyra. "When a monster is Normal or Special Summoned to my opponent's side of the Field: I can return ant number of Royal Cookpals to my hand and destroyed one monster each! By returning Knight Pasta and Princess Pudding to my hand, I destroy Rhyhim and Lyra!" Michio specifies. The bellies of both monsters burst before they're destroyed. "How do you like my hospitality?" Michio asks Yuzu. "You just destroyed them! You call that hospitality?" Tatsuya points out. "That's right!" Ayu states. "It's awful!" Futoshi exclaims. As Michio laughs "Pendulum Monsters are not sent to the Graveyard, but are instead put into the Extra Deck" Yuzu explains. "I set one card and end my turn!" She declares.
Elsewhere, Sora was in another Duel "Direct attack with Frightfur Bear!" Sora declares , knocking his opponent into a feudal Japanese castle wall (LP: 0) "It seems it has.. ended.." Sora's opponent said. "I did it! See that? Two wins in a row!" Sora exclaims. "You're spacing out again!" He catches Yuya. "I-I'm not!" Yuya insists. "I saw all of it!" He lies causing Sora to groan.
"My turn! Draw!" Michio starts his turn. "Excuse me sir, but I heard you made some modifications to my recipe!" He addresses Shuzo. "Y…yes…" Shuzo confirms. "I'm going to show you that my prefect recipe has no room for any other additions!" Michio says. Next to Shuzo "That's right my Michio is flawless!" Maiko agrees. "He's prefect!" She calls him. "Now then, there are five cards inside of the Food Cemetery, and so with the Continues Spell: Regal Recipes' effect…! I can summon four more Royal Cookpals!" Michio states. "Your order is ready! One King Burger! (ATK: 300), One Queen Omelette! (ATK: 300), One Knight Pasta! (ATK: 300), and Princess Pudding!" He declares (ATK: 300). "Just as I thought, he summoned four monsters at once…" Yuzu notes. "Curry, Hamburg Steak, Omelette and Neapolitan…!" Futoshi said. "And Pudding too!" Ayu adds. "I wouldn't be able to finish all of that!" Futoshi saying as he looks at the five monsters in awe, to the annoyance of his other two friends. "First, I'll offer you the hospitality of Regal Recipes' effect by giving you 300 points of damaged per monster Special Summmoned by this effect!" Michio declares. The total is 1200, as energy pellets hit Yuzu again (Yuzu's LP: 500). "Yuzu!" Shuzo yells. "Yuzu's worked hard, but with all five Royal Cookpals out this is the end…"Kirigakure comments. "Knight Pasta's effect activates!" Michio declares. "This monster can once per turn double the original ATK of another Royal Cookpal!" He explains (Prince Curry's ATK: 600). "After that, Princess Pudding uses the same effect! Double it again!" Michio declares (Prince Curry's ATK: 1200). "Now, with Queen Omelette's effect. Double it again!" He follows up (Prince Curry's ATK: 2400). "On top of that, double it once more with King Burger's effect!" Michio finishes. "It's a 4800 ATK calorie explosion!" Tatsuya exclaims (Prince Curry's ATK: 4800). "Battle Phase! I make a direct attack with Prince Curry! Golden Royal Cook Family Curry Plate!" Michio declares. Prince Curry releases a vortex of curry "Golden…" Tatsuya repeats dumbfounded. "Curry!?" Futoshi and Ayu repeats dumbfounded. "Trap Activate! Wall of Disruption!" Yuzu declares. "For this turn, an attacking opponent's monster loses 800 ATK per monster on their Field!" She explains. "A pointless struggle!" Michio calls the card. "There are five monsters on my opponent's field, making a 4000-point decrease!" Yuzu further explains (Prince Curry's ATK: 800). "But your life is a measly 500. 800 is more than enough to finish you!" Michio clarifies. Prince Curry regains its composure and continues its attack, but Yuzu dons her visors and starts running. But the attack of Prince Curry hits its mark, leaving the children and Shuzo stunned.
"My my, it took a bit of work, but she was no match for my perfect recipe!" Michio breathes a sigh of relief. His relieved expression changes to confusion as he notices Yuzu standing strong after the smoke clears (Yuzu's LP: 200). "Yuzu!" Ayu cheers, while Shuzo was relieved as well. "Why!? This can't be! Why do you have life left!?" Michio demands. Yuzu chuckles "I used a Action Card!" She reveals.
(Flashback)
"The Action Card I wasn't able to get earlier!" Yuzu states as she remembers leaps from saucer to grab the Action on the high plate. "Action Spell: Energy Biscuits!" Yuzu declares. "Increasing my life by 500 points" She states (Yuzu's LP: 1000). Then Prince Curry's attack hits causing Yuzu to be blasted backwards (Yuzu's LP: 200).

"It's thanks to the power I got from Dad's pancake sandwich!" Yuzu attributes the action. Enraged that Yuzu hung on "I end my turn now!" Michio said. "At this moment, the Royal Cookpal effects fade and Prince Curry's ATK returns to normal" He states (Prince Curry's ATK: 300). "You may have held out, but your hand is at zero!" Michio points out. "How do you plan to defeat five Royal Cookpals!?" He asks.
"My turn!" Yuzu declares. Before she draws "I've done all the prep-work I can, all I need is to draw that one card…" Yuzu thinks. "Draw!" She yells, the card is Fantasy Balloon. "Ladies and Gentlemen! It's time for the climax of this back and forth battle!" Yuzu announce. "Huh? What the heck is she doing?" Michio confused. "Already set are the Scale 1 Arial the Melodious Sorceress, the Scale 9 Dulcet the Melodious Sorceress! With this I'm able to summon Level 2 to 8 monsters simultaneously!" Yuzu reiterates. "Swing, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw the arc of light across the aerther! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters!" She chants. "You're using Pendulum Summoning when you only have one card in your hand, so that's no different than a regular Summon!" Michio says. "Your attention, please. I'm going to introduce our Pendulum Monsters patiently waiting inside of the Extra Deck!" Yuzu directs the audience's attention. "Th-the Extra Deck!?" Michio surprised. "Turned every situation into a comeback, Lyra the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 0) Bouncing back all those in its way, Partita the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 300) Show him the power of friendship, Carol the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 500) Her cheers are awe-inspiring, Rhyhim the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 600) And our lead actress, "Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares (ATK: 2600). "Shivers!" Futoshi said, leaving him overwhelmed. "All five at once!" Ayu cheers. "That's right all destroyed Pendulum Monsters are sent to the Extra Deck! Tatsuya remembers. "So she was stockpiling them up, waiting for the chance to summon all five of them at once!" He understands. "So Pendulum Summoning was the addition needed for this" Shuzo says. "What're you calling an addition!? Even if you summon all five it'll turn out just the same!" Michio brushes the remark aside. "Your Pendulum Summoning is no match for my perfect recipe!" He yells. "I activate all five Royal Cookpals' effect!" Michio declares, with all five force-feeding each of Yuzu's monsters: Partita by Prince Curry, Carol by Queen Omelette, Lyra by Knight Pasta, Rhyhim by Princess Pudding, and Mozarta by King Burger. "They're going to get taken out just like before!" Ayu realizes. "For each Royal Cookpal returned to my hand, I can destroy a monster! With this, all of your monsters are destroyed!" Michio states as he returns all five of his Royal Cookpals to his hand to destroy each of Yuzu's monsters. "I was waiting for that!" Yuzu says. "What!?" Michio confused. "Spell Card: Fantasy Balloon activates!" Yuzu declares. "I can excavated an amount of cards equal to the number of cards destroyed this turn!" She explains. Each of the destroyed monsters turns into a pancake sandwich. "Wha?!" Tatsuya surprised. "Pancake sandwiches?" Ayu surprised. "They look delicious!" Futoshi drooling. "Now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Thanks to the effect of Fantasy Balloon, inside each of these pancake sandwiches, is one of the five cards I've excavated from the top of my Deck! I'll be checking each and every one of them, and will Special Summon the highest level Melodious monster I find!" Yuzu announces. "Amazing! She summoned five monsters in anticipation that they would all be destroyed! And she managed to tie in the five destruction to her combo of hope!" Nico calls it. "But if those cards turn out not to be Melodious…" Kirigakure points out.
"That card of pure chance won't be able to break my perfect recipe!" Michio exclaims. "Being able to manipulate chance is a powerful skill in itself!" Yuzu replies. "Now then everyone, let's check the cards inside of the pancakes! The first one is this…!" She starts excavating her Deck. The first sandwich opens and the card is Diva Festival "Too bad, it seems the first one wasn't a monster!" Yuzu shrugs in disappointment, which disappoints the children as well. "On to the second one!" Yuzu continues, which was Gita the Melodious Diva "There it is, an Melodious!" She exclaims. "There's no way Michio would lose to a card like that!" Maiko says. "The third!" Yuzu declares as she excavates the third card, Request Recital. As Shuzo places her hope in Yuzu, "The fourth!" Yuzu reveals the next card, Lita the Melodious Diva. "It's an Melodious but it's just a lute fairy…" She comments. "Its level isn't high enough to help her win, what a pity…" Nico discouraged. "A pity?" Maiko repeats. "Ah! No, never mind that!" Nico reconsider his words. "Now then, what will the final one be…" Kirigakure wonders. "It's so exciting to wonder what will come out, isn't it!" A housewife gets excited. "I don't know much about Duelling but that looks fun!" Another one says. "Wh-what is this..?" Michio dumbfounded as he looks around. "Everyone is enthralled by her performance…" He thinks.
"Now it's time for the final pancake!" Yuzu announces. "Will the Goddess of Victory smile upon me?" She wonders. "Let's take a look at the fifth one!" Yuzu excavates her last card, which is Rayna the Melodious Diva. "It's here! A high level Melodious! We've saved the best for last!" Yuzu cheers. "I Special Summon the Level 6 Rayna the Melodious Diva! The heaven-shaking leader of the Melodious comes before us now!" She declares (ATK: 2600). "An ATK of 2600!? I-I'm going to lose!?" Michio trembles. "My perfect recipe is going to…!" He bemoans.
"There is no such thing as a perfect recipe!" Yuzu tells Michio, which causes the young chef to recall Aiichiro telling him the same thing.
(Flashback)
"There isn't perfection in cooking! No, actually, if there is, it's always being ready to add more to suit the people who will eat your food!" Aiichiro elaborates.
(Flashback ends)
"Always adding more…" Michio mutters. "Battle Phase! I make a direct attack with Rayna the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu declares. "Enjoy your monumental of a meal!" Yuzu tells Michio as Rayna swings the Maracas in her hands and the Maracas hands glows in a in star-shaped patterns. "It's my loss…" Michio smiles in satisfaction. The maracas swings down and crushes Michio (Michio's LP: 0).
"She did it!" Ayu exclaims. "She got her first win!" Tatsuya exclaims. "Shivery shivers!" Futoshi said. As Chaos Kitchen fades "Thanks for the meal!" Yuzu thanks Michio. "Shiver…" Michio whispers. "Michio!" Makio calls out as she runs to him. "This can't be right! Your perfect recipe can't have been defeated!" She said in denial. "Mama…this time I did lose" Micho calmly tells his mother. "Mi-Michio…" Makio surprise. "Yuzu!" The children calls out as they run to her. "You gave me the shivers!" Futoshi exclaims. "Yuzu!" Michio calls out as he walks towards her. "You won this time!" He congratulates Yuzu. "But, after this, I'll add more to my recipe and press onwards!" Michio promises. "Then I'll just have to stay ahead of you!" Yuzu replies. "I'm looking forward to facing you again in the Junior Youth Championship!" Michio says and offers Yuzu a handshake. "Yeah!" Yuzu accepts the handshake. Her stomach growls again "Looks like those pancake sandwiches from before weren't enough" Shuzo remarks. "Then how about I make you something?" Michio offers. "Huh?" Shuzo surprised. "Will you accept my hospitality?" Michio asks. "O-of course!" A blushing Yuzu replies. "Michio himself is going to make us some food, great! Hot-bloodied! Banzai! Banzai" Shuzo squeal. "D…Dad…" Yuzu embarrasses.
