Hi everyone, Rosestar48 here! Today Yuzu will begin her Second match against Eita Kyuando.
The Universe of Knowledge! Eita Kyuando
Yuzu and Nico were on a tram heading towards their destination. "What's wrong? " Nico asks as he notice Yuzu has been daydreaming for a while. "You've been spacing out for a while now" He states. "It's nothing, really…" Yuzu said. Nico jump on top of the seat "Are you still feeling sleepy?" He asks.
(Flashback)
Yuzu starts to recall to herself the mysterious person that she encountered, who Xyz Summoned. "Just who the heck was that…?" She wonders.
(Flashback ends)
Yuzu, are you…good at quizzes?" Nico asks, interrupting Yuzu. "Q-quizzies?" Yuzu intrigued, having remembered watching a quiz show with Ayu, Futoshi and Tatsuya the night before.
(Flashback)
"Okay! Now on to the next question!" a MC on TV said. "Question: What instrument was Sherlock Homes good at?" He asks. "Solving mysteries!" Yuzu answered wrongly. "Kyuando that was fast!" The MC said. "Violin!" Kyuando answered. "That's correct!" The MC declares. "Huh?" Yuzu confused. "Yuzu, you got it wrong again!" Ayu states. "Well he's a detective, isn't he!? Shouldn't he be good at solving mysteries?" Yuzu asks. "He said "instrument," didn't he? You need to think it through!" Tatsuya reminds Yuzu. "Give me a break!" Yuzu whines. "Next question: The Earth's dia-" The Mc said, but Kyuando buzzed in before the full question was even read out. "Kyuando!" The Mc calls out. "12,742 kilometers!" Kyuando answers. "That's correct!" The MC declares. "The question was: What is the Earth's diameter?" He states. "And with that your winner is… Eita Kyuando!" The MC announces. "Wow! He answered it right when he started reading the question!" Futoshi impressed. "He's really well-known right now! He's won every quiz show he's been on, and he's being called the Universe of Knowledge!" Tatsuya agrees. "Unlike a certain someone…"Ayu comments. "Don't look at me when you say that!" Yuzu tells Ayu. On the show, "Kyuando, what do quizzes mean for your?" The MC asked him. "To put it shortly, life!" Kyuando explains, to which Ayu, Futoshi and Tatsuya looked on with amazement. "Knowledge is an acclimated by your day to day struggles…and among those, the correct and incorrect answers to life are found! That's what I think!" Kyuando believed. "And as for Yuzu, who only gets incorrect answers…" Ayu said as she Futoshi and Tatsuya looks pitifully at the flustered Yuzu. "Stop looking at me like you're pitying me! I don't care about quizzes at all!" Yuzu angrily dismissed. "…is what I said, but I ended up watching quiz shows until the sun came up. But I ended up getting almost all of the questions wrong…" Yuzu thinks.

Yuzu shrugs off the embarrassment "I-it's not like being bad a quizzes…has any effect on my Entertainment Duels!" She tells Nico. "hmm, I wonder about that?" Nico said. "Huh?" Yuzu get annoyed. The tram suddenly stops, and Nico falls to the floor, having ignored the sign telling him not to put his feet on the seats. "Please sit on the chairs properly" The PDA said.
Nico and Yuzu arrive at their destination, Meiseki Duel School. "Let's go!" Nico said as he walks on. "Yeah…" Yuzu said as she follows him. "Isn't Meiseki School…a really famous prep-school?" She asks. "That's right!" Nico confirms. "Whether they're scholars, politicians, or any field of scholar, the top class of any field has come from this school! You could call it the school that cultivates those who succeed at the game of life!" He explains. "I see..." Yuzu said. "Of course, they've invested their resources into raising Duellist as well" Nico states as he leads Yuzu inside. "Knowledge is…!" The MC said. "NUMBER ONE!" The Students said. Yuzu and the children were confused. "The correct answer is…?!" The MC asks. And the spotlights came on. "ONLY ONE!" Kyuando yells and the student gave their applauses. Kyuando landing in front of Yuzu on a prop suspended by cables. "Ah! You're-!" Yuzu recognizes Kyuando. "Our school's best of the best, the king of quizzes! The Universe of Knowledge, Eita Kyuando!" The MC declares. "It seems you know of me. I'm honored" Kyuando states. "I've seen videos of your Pendulum Summoning myself" He claims. "Nice to meet you" Kyuando greets Yuzu, as he give out his hand. "Yeah! I've seen your quiz shows as well! Let's have a fun match today! Nice to-" Yuzu returns the greeting, but just as they're about to shake hands, Kyuando turns away "Now then! A question for you!" He said. "Huh!? A question?" Yuzu confused. "It's pertains to the "nice to meet you" you just used" Kyuando states. "How do you say it in French?" He asks. "In French!?" Yuzu wonders. "You have 10 seconds!" Kyuando gives her. "10 seconds!?" Yuzu exclaims. "Uh…uhm…Y-yo…Yorei…hoshiku?" she made up the answer. "INCORRECT!" Kyuando declares. "The answer is…Merci d'avance!" He states. "Merci?!" The children exclaims. "Incorrect…You're incorrect, Hiragi!" Kyuando tells Yuzu. "You don't even know French…and you tried to say "nice to meet you" to me!" He laughs at Yuzu. The audience do the same, laughing and pointing at Yuzu in an attempt to embarrass her. "Wh-What's your problem?!" Yuzu embarrass. "Well sorry for not knowing it was merci!" She exclaims. "Oh pardon me, that was rude. Everyone has things they're good and not good at after all" Kyuando collect himself. "I'm good at solving riddles too, you know!" Yuzu states. "Well, I look forward to seeing that!" Kyuando said. "By the way what aren't you good at? Aside from French that is" He wonders. "There's no reason for me to tell you that!" Yuzu exclaims. "Oh come now, I'll tell you what mine are as well" Kyuando offers. "Science and math" Yuzu claims."Oh? Science and math, you say… Kyuando said. "So? What are yours?" Yuzu enquires. "What I'm not good at? Me?" Kyuando inquires he then chuckles. "There isn't anything AT ALL OF COURSE!" Kyuando says, contrary to his previous claim. "There isn't!?" Yuzu shock. "My strong points are that I don't have anything that I'm bad at! Because after all I'm prefect! Impeccable!" Kyuando smirks. "Don't lie! There's no way that's-" Yuzu claims. "It's a fact. Pertaining to knowledge, there is nothing that Kyuando is bad at!" The MC claims. "That's how it is. My dear weak-at-science-and math-Hiragi" Kyuando states. Yuzu was getting annoyed.
Meanwhile at another Duel School, "Go! Direct attack!" Sora decalres as he hold a Shogi piece, and two big Shogi pieces came down on his opponent. "I have been defeated" Sora's opponent moans (Opponent's LP: 0). "Amazing…it was over in an instant" Yuya amazed. "So is this what they call "checkmate?" Sora wonders as he hops down on the Shogi pieces as the Field disappears. "It was kinda fun, but not very satisfying…" Sora claims. "I'm going to get stronger as well! No…I have too! I'm sure Yuzu's Duel has started already…Do your best" Yuya thinks. Soon, at a Meiseki School duel court, "Thank you for waiting! We shall begin the Duel now! First off is Meiski's Ace! The ever-expanding Universe of Knowledge! Quiz Master: Kyuanadou Eita!" Nico declares. Meiseki's students claps for Kyuanadou. "Knowledge is…" Kyuamadou starts. "NUMBER ONE!" Meiseki's students declares. "Facing him is the successor of Entertainment Duels and Pendulum Summoning Pioneer…Yuzu Hiragi!" Nico announces. Ayu, Futoshi and Tatsuya, who has come to support Yuzu, and are the only ones clapping when Yuzu's name was announced. "Yuzu!" They cheers, but Yuzu looks displeased. "Action Field: On! Field Spell: Quiz Quest! Activate! Knowledge is Light! Knowledge is Love! Use knowledge as a weapon to clear your way to success in life! The Success Frontier! True to it's name it is Meiseki School's pride, and joy the Quiz Quest!" The MC declares. "Q- Quiz Quest!?" Yuzu bewildered. "That's right! My personal best field, one that requires knowledge! Of course, it's the Field where I can shine the brightest and display my abilities the best!" Kyuamadou claims. "I wonder how Yuzu's Entertainment Dueling will fare inside this Quiz Field…" Nico wonders. "Duelist locked in battle!" The MC chants. "Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters! They storm through this field! Behold!" The MC chants. "This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling! Action!" Nico chants as he and The MC snaps their fingers. "DUEL!" Yuzu and Kyuando shouts and the Actions Card disperses.
Kyuando was on a block a few feet above the ground "A question for you all! Who will be going first in this Duel?" He asks rhetorically. "Kyuando!" The audience shouts. "Correct!" Kyuando says. "My turn! I Summon Quiz Monkey from my hand!" He declares (ATK: 0). "A monster with 0 ATK?" Futoshi notes with surprise. "Zero is the beginning of everything, as well as the endpoint for everything! Zero itself means infinite possibilities!" Kyuando claims. "I set one card and end my turn!" He states. "Yuzu, that's just a bluff!" Ayu exclaims, hoping that Yuzu can see through Kyuando 's lies. Before Yuzu's turn starts "Now then, I'm looking forward to your specialty Pendulum Summoning! If you can do it, that is" Kyuando taunts Yuzu. "My turn, Draw!" Yuzu declares. "I summon Arietta the Melodious Diva!" She states (ATK: 1500). "Alright a monster with 1500 ATK!" Tatsuya exclaims. "Let's go! Battle Phase!" Yuzu declares. "Arietta! Attack Quiz Monkey!" She orders. "Quiz Monkey's effect activates!" Kyuando declares. "When this monster battles, the opponent must answer: How many Quiz monsters will remain on the Field at the end of the Battle Phase?" He explains. "Huh?" Yuzu confused. "If they answer correctly, the opponent will gain 1000 Life Points! If they answer incorrectly, I am able to Special Summon this card from my Graveyard, and destroy one monster on my opponent's Field! Then it will gain the same ATK/DEF as the destroyed monster" Kyuando continues explaining. "Now give me your answer!" He demands. "Umm…Yeah…Wuh? What?" Yuzu hesitates, having not listened to the effect properly. "Like I said, guess how many Quiz monsters will be on the field at the end of the Battle Phase!" Kyuando repeats. "Your Quiz Monkey's ATK is 0! There's no way Arietta with 1500 ATK will lose! Of course, the answer is zero!" Yuzu confidently states and Arietta went to attack Quiz Monkey. "Hiragi's answer was zero! Is that the correct answers…?" Kyuando wonders. Arietta made contact with Quiz Monkey causing an explosion. "Alright, now I am right!" Yuzu exclaims. "Is how I made it seem! I activate the Continuous Trap: Not So Fast!" Kyuando declares. "Once per turn, I can negate the destruction of one of my Quiz monsters in battle! As well as making the battle damage zero!" He explains. "Huh!?" Yuzu and her supporters gasp. "The Battle Phase is over! Oh, what's this? Hiragi's answer was there would be zero monsters remaining. But wait! There is one Quiz Monkey still remains on my field!" Kyunado points out. "Too bad, you're incorrect!" He declares. Yuzu gasps. "And thus, Arietta is destroyed!" Kyunado states and Quiz Monkey destroys Arietta. "With that, Quiz Monkey gains the same ATK as Arietta!" Kyunado state (Quiz Monkey's ATK: 1500).
"Tch, Yuzu would've been right if she had answered one…" Futoshi said. "No, the results would've been the same. If Yuzu had answered one, he wouldn't have activated the trap and just let the monster be destroyed" Tatsuya said. "No matter which answer I chose, I would've been incorrect!" Yuzu notes. "Oh? Look at that, you're correct for once!" Kyunado states. "Whether you were correct or incorrect was all up to me! Me having the initiative, that is correct! You having any kind of advantage, that is incorrect!" He taunts. "I end my turn" Yuzu said. After being allowed to start his turn "Now then, here is a question for you. Who is the unsightly duellist that will be receiving damage from a direct attack this turn?" Kyunado asks Yuzu. Yuzu hesitates, "What's this? I'm giving you a really easy question this time thought…The answer is YOU, Yuzu Hiragi!" Kyunado answers. Yuzu responds by running off. "My turn, Draw!" Kyunado declares. As Yuzu climbs the floating steps of Quiz Quest "That's right, you can only rely on Action Cards now!" Kyunado notes. "Battle Phase! I make a direct attack with Quiz Monkey!" He declares. Yuzu finds an Action Card just in time "I got it!" Yuzu exclaims. "Action Trap, Activate! Welcome! Quiz Action!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "An Action Trap!?" Yuzu exclaims. "This Action Card recovers damage," The block-faced Quiz Action card explains. "Yes!" Yuzu happily said. "but that's only if they answer the quiz correctly!" The block-faced Quiz Action card continues to explains. "Huh? A quiz?!" Yuzu and her supporters bewildered again. "If you answer incorrectly, instead of recovering damage, you will lose 100 LP!" The block-faced Quiz Action card states. "What?!" Yuzu shocked. Kyunado laughs "All Action Cards in this Field activate depending on if you're correct or incorrect! All of them are quiz question! I will truly shine" He states. "Is that even allowed?!" Yuzu exclaims. "Now then, let's begin. The Genre is Science for 100!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "Science!?" Yuzu worried. "There is a cup full of water. There is ice floating in the water. When the ice melt, will the water overflow or not overflow? Which is it?" The block-faced Quiz Action card asked. "Overflow!" Yuzu answers, but the answer was wrong. "HUH!?" Yuzu gasped. "Incorrect. I'm looking forward to your next attempt!" The block-faced Quiz Action card states. "Wai-!" Yuzu said as The block-faced Quiz Action card disappeared (Yuzu's LP: 3900) "And now Quiz Monkey's direct attack!" Kyudano declares and Quiz Monkey attacks Yuzu.
Yuzu lands on a block further down (Yuzu's LP: 2400). "That was an amazing display of stupidity! It was truly refreshing!" Kyudano mocks. The Meiseki's students laughs. Kyudano raise his arm and the Meiseki's students stops laughing. "This card can be Special Summoned from my hand when a Quiz Monsters deals battle damage" Kyudano explains. "I Special Summon Quiz Sphinx!" He declares. "As long as there is a Quiz monster on my field, this card can't be targeted for an attack!" Kyudano states (ATK: 1000). "Battle Phase! I make a direct attack with Quiz Sphinx!" He declares. Yuzu was thrown against a wall (Yuzu's LP: 1400). "This is wonderful! You're awful at quizzes, and awful at Duels!" Kyudano mocks Yuzu. "Damn it!" Yuzu cursed as she gets up. "I respectfully end my turn" Kyudano states. "My turn!" Yuzu declares and draws. As long as Quiz Monkey and Not So Fast's effect apply, there isn't anything I can do…Then I have to do something about it with an Action Card! I just drew Science, which I'm bad at, but…If I draw any other genres…!" Yuzu thinks as she decides to trawl for another Action Card. "Run! Run! But I'll be beating you to the punch!" Kyudano said and runs off. "I'll have you experience being red-faced with shame again and again!" He declares. Yuzu climb on to a platform " First come, first served!" Kyudano states as he reaches an Action Card before Yuzu does. "Action Trap, Activate! Welcome! Quiz Action!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "If you get it right, you'll gain 300 LP!" It explains. "The genre is…Riddles for 300!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "Question: What is inside the treasure box of a Tanuki?" It asks. "Nothing!" Kyudano answers. "Correct! You gain 300 LP" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares (Kyudano's LP: 4300). Kyudano chortles "It's because it took the "ta" out of takara!" He states. "I know that!" Yuzu exclaims. "On to the next one" Kyudano said as he jumps onto another box. "I got it!" He exclaims as he takes another Action Card. "Action Trap, Activate!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "If you get it right, you'll gain 500 LP!" It explains. "The genre is…Riddles for 500!" it declares. "Question: What is a contest in which the loser is laughing at the end?" The block-faced Quiz Action card asks. "A staring contest!" Kyudano answers. "Correct! You gain 500 LP" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares (Kyudano's LP: 4800). Kyudano chortles again. "I knew that on too!" Yuzu states as she was stuck on a midair pole. "I'm going to keep going!" Kyudano declares as he runs towards another Action Card. "Action Trap, Activate!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "Give it a rest" Kyudano tells it. "Oh…yes, of course" block-faced Quiz Action card said. "If you get it right, you'll gain 1000 LP!" It explains. . "The genre is…Riddles for 1000" it declares. "Question: Which side is sunnier, the road or a sidewalk?" The block-faced Quiz Action card asks. "The sidewalk!" Kyudano answers. "Correct!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "Road sounds similar to shadow in English! So the shadow is darker!" Kyudano states. "I didn't know that one…" Yuzu said (Kyudano's LP: 5800).
"5800 LP…" Tatsuya notes. "This is really bad!" Futoshi states. "Damn, if that's how is going to be, then…I have to get that Action Card!" Yuzu states, forced to act quickly, jumping across the pole tops to reach for an Action Card on a 100 block. "Action Trap, Activate!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "If you get it right, you'll gain 100 LP! The opposite will happen if you are incorrect" It explains. "Alright" Yuzu cheers. "The genre is…Math for 100!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "Huh!? Math!?" Yuzu shock. "Question: If you place down a pillar every 10 meters, how many pillars would fit in 100 meters?" The block-faced Quiz Action card asks. "I know this one! 100 divide by 10 is 10 so the answer is 10 pillars!" Yuzu answers, but it was incorrect. "Wuh-wait!" Yuzu exclaims (Yuzu's LP: 1300). Kyudano laughs "The correct answer is 11 pillars!" He states. "Huh!?" Yuzu confused. The Meiseki's students laughs. "If you had just taken some time to think about it, you'd get it…" Tatsuya said. "Next one!" Yuzu said as she swings towards a 200 block. "Found it!" She said as she picks up an Action Card. "Question! The genre is Math for 200!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "There are two dice and roll a six on the first one. What is the probability that the other roll is also a six?" It asks. "Umm…there's two sixes so…." Yuzu hesitant. "12 times!" She answers, but it was also incorrect (Yuzu's LP: 1100). "Sheesh…She didn't even understand the meaning of the question, did she…" Nico notices. Yuzu then gets to a 300 block and picks up an Action Card "Question! The genre is Science for 300!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "Between 300kg of steel and 300kg of cotton, which is heavier?" It asks. "Cotton! It's cotton, of course! I won't fall for this one!" Yuzu declares, but she gets this one wrong and falls (Yuzu's LP: 800). "Yuzu…" Tatsuya said. "Listen to the question properly…" Ayu said. "Even I knew the answer to that one…" Futoshi states. "I feel sorry for you pulling all the genres you're bad at!" Kyudano taunts. "The only ones he pulled were the riddles that I'm good at! He made sure to get rid of them before I could find them. By doing that, the only quizzes left will be the ones I'm bad at!" Yuzu notices. "Damn it!" She cursed. "Now then a question for you, just who is the pathetic Duellist that will rot embarrassingly in the upcoming true Quiz Hell?" Kyuadano taunts as he walks down on the platforms. "True hell!?" Yuzu exclaim. Kyudano reaches an Action Card on a ? block "Action Card activate!" He declares. "The heavens of all forms of knowledge! Guide the witless to hell! Quiz Quest - Extra Stage!" Kyudano declares, which eliminates the point blocks from the Action Field and makes the floor glow. "The correct answer is YOU! Yuzu Hiragi!" Kyudano states as he points to Yuzu.
