A Difficult Question!? Attack Duel Quiz!
"We meet again! Welcome to the exacting world of recaps!" Nico states. "In order to qualify for the Junior Youth Championships, Yuzu Hiragi is facing off with the Quiz king: Eita Kyuando! Unable to answer a single Quiz Action Trap correct, Yuzu is driven into a corner!" He recaps. "And one more person who is driven into a corner…this man!" Nico says. Meanwhile Gongenzaka was meditating under a waterfall, wearing a Fudo cloth "Not enough! I am still lacking something!" He suddenly shouts.
"Action Card activate!" Kyuando declares. "The paradise of all form of knowledge! That will guide the witless to hell! Quiz Quest: Extra Stage!" He states and the point blocks from the Action Field and the floor starts to glow. The field transforms, and Yuzu soon finds herself rolling down a railway track on a wagon. "What the heck is the Field!?" Yuzu exclaims. Kyuando was moving along an adjacent track "Yuzu Hiragi, from here on, you'll experience how foolish you are!" He taunts her again, to which she sulks. "You've had a perfect duel so far, as expected of Meiseki School's ace!" The Meiseki's MC sings praises for Kyuando. "From here on, will be faced the five Action Trap cards" Kyuando tell Yuzu. "Action Traps? You mean more quizzes?" Yuzu realizes. "That's right! If you answer correctly, you gain 100 LP. If you answer incorrectly, you take 100 damage" Kyuando confirms. "Enjoy your quiz journey! Adieu!" He tells Yuzu just before the two tracks diverge. "Quiz journey?" Yuzu confused. The gradient falls sharply, causing Yuzu's wagon to speed up. "What's that?" Yuzu wonders. "An Action Card?!" She exclaims as she was about to crash into an Action Card. "It's huge!" Yuzu's supporters, Ayu, Futoshi and Tatusya notes.
"Action Trap activates! Attack Duel Quiz!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "Duel Quiz?" Yuzu confused. "Does that mean they're question related to Dueling?" She asks. "Alright! If that's that case…!" Yuzu exclaims. "Yuzu's really good at Duel questions!" Tatsuya states. Futoshi nods in agreement. "Question: Which of these Raigeki Break cards is correct?" The block-faced Quiz Action card asks. "You have five seconds!" It states. "The correct one? Umm…umm…Which is it? Which one is it?" Yuzu thinks, but couldn't tell the differences. "Too bad! Time's up! The correct one is the on the right!" The block-faced Quiz Action card states. "That's right, it is!" Yuzu frustrated. "You failed to answer, so you shall take 100 points of damage" The block-faced Quiz Action card states (Yuzu's LP: 700). "She got shivered!" Futoshi depressed. "Question: How many teeth does the Pot of Greed have?" The block-faced Quiz Action card asks Kyuando. "Twenty!" Kyuando answers. "Correct! There are twenty teeth on the Pot of Greed!" The block-faced Quiz Action card states. "You gain 100 LP!" It declares (Kyuando's LP: 5900). "This'll be bad if this keeps up…" Yuzu groans. "Alright, from my hand, I-!" She said. "Wa-wait!" Yuzu panics as she rams into another Action Card. "Question: How many people are being blown away in the card Heavy Storm?" block-faced Quiz Action card asks. "You have five seconds!" It states. "That's an easy one! Two! There's two of them! T-w-o!" Yuzu answers, but it was incorrect. "Too bad! The correct is three people!" The block-faced Quiz Action card states. "Three?!" Yuzu shocked. "That's right, three!" The block-faced Quiz Action card states. "One, Two, and Three!" It shows hers. "Huh!? There was another one there!?" Yuzu surprised. "You were incorrect, so you'll shall take 100 damage" The block-faced Quiz Action card states then they was a gust of wind and then the tracks became like a loop (Yuzu's LP: 600). "Now she's spinning!" Futoshi exclaims. "What's she doing?" A Meiseki's student wonders and laughs. "She's hilarious!" Another Meiseki's student laughs. "What's the point of making them laugh at you?" Ayu signs. But Yuzu gets the next three questions wrong, and is tickled (Yuzu's LP: 500), then thrown into mud (Yuzu's LP: 400) , then frozen solid (Yuzu's LP: 300). Her supporters signed. Meanwhile, Kyuando gets all five of his Action Card questions correct (Kyuando's LP: 6300). "The correct answer is…!" Kyuando starts. "ONLY ONE!" The Meiseki's student yells out. The "Quiz Quest: Extra Stage" expires, returning the Action Field back to Quiz Quest. Yuzu was still frozen solid "This is bad…" Tatsuya notes. "Getting them all wrong left her with 300 LP!" Ayu notices. "And in comparison, Kyuando got them all right and is at 6300 LP!" Futoshi states. Kyuando chortles "So you finally understand how completely incorrect you were to challenge me on this Field! The one who will win this Duel is me! Me, the perfect and the correct one!" He claims. "Correct!" His audience agrees with; at this point, Yuzu thaws out and ends up sneezing. This causes the audience to laugh. "What a disgrace" Kyudano said. But the audience still laughs when Yuzu sneezed. "Is it just me or…" Tatsuya notices. "They like it!" Futoshi points out. Yuzu then smiles "Thank you…" She thanks the audience. However "Y-you people! You dare ignore my shining display of skills and instead enjoy this buffoon's failure and incorrect answers?!" Kyuando annoyed as he notices that a loser like Yuzu was stealing attention from him. "Don't you think you're being too careless?!" He exclaims. "Alright! From here on is the real deal! I activate the Spell Card: Melodious Recasting from my hand!" Yuzu, now determined, declares. "I shuffle the five Melodious in my hand into my Deck, then draw that mount of cards plus one, six!" She explains as she shuffle five Melodious monsters back to her deck and draw six cards. "Alright, there it is!" Yuzu notes as she draws the Pendulum Monsters that she needs. "I, using the Scale 1 Arial the Melodious Sorceress and the Scale 9 Dulcet the Melodious Sorceress set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu declares. "With this I'm able to summon Level 2 to 8 monsters simultaneously!" She states. "Sway, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw the arc of light across the aerther! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters!" Yuzu chants. "Opus the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 1200)Viola the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 1700) and lastly, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" She declares (ATK: 2600). "This is Pendulum Summoning…" The MC amazed, witnesses a Pendulum Summon for the very first time. "That's it?" Kyuando brushes it off. "Now she can wipe out Kyuando's monsters!" Tatsuya states. "But he has Quiz Monkey and the Not So Fast! card waiting!" Futoshi points out.

"Too bad! The correct answer was one! Your answer of zero is incorrect!" Kyuando declares. "Too bad! This time I'm using No so Fast! So the correct answer is zero! You're incorrect!" He declares.

"No matter what she answers, that combo guarantees she'll be incorrect!" Ayu knows. "No, it's fine!" Tatsuya states. Ayu and Futoshi looks at Tatsuya in confusion. "You can only use Not so Fast!'s effect once per turn. Right now, Yuzu has three monsters! Even if she gets stopped once, she still destroy all of Kyuando's monsters with two attacks!" Tatsuya points out. "That's it!" Ayu and Futoshi understand.
"Here we go! Battle Phase!" Yuzu declares. Viola, attack Quiz Monkey!" She orders. "I activate Quiz Monkey's effect!" Kyuando declares. "When this monster battles, the opponent must answer" He states and Viola stops. "Here it comes!" Yuzu exclaims. "Question: How many Quiz monsters will remain on the Field at the end of the Battle Phase?" Kyuando asks. "This time, I'll definitely get it right! The answer is ZERO!" Yuzu states. "Go, Viola! Destroy Quiz Monkey!" She orders and Viola continues its attack. "Too bad, but that won't be happening!" Kyuando smirks. "Quiz Sphinx's effect activates!" He declares. "Once per turn, when a Quiz monster is attacked, the opponent must answer" Kyuando explains and the question mark on Quiz Sphinx lit up. "Huh!? Quiz Sphinx has a question too?!" Yuzu shocked and Viola stops suddenly. "It's a simple and easy question!" Kyuando said. "Which monster on the Field has the highest Level?" He asks. "Huh?" Yuzu confused. "If you answer correctly, that monster will be destroyed and its controller will take damage equal to its ATK. If you answer incorrectly, the Battle Phase ends!" Kyuando explains. "That's easy, of course Mozarta is the highest level at Level 8!" Futoshi states. "Man, you're really an idiot" Ayu signs. "Why?" Futoshi asks. "Were you listening to the effect?" Tatsuya wonders. "If she answers correctly with Mozarta, then Mozarta will not only get destroyed…she'll take 2600 damage!" He reminds Futoshi. Futoshi gasp as he realizes. "And when that happens, Yuzu would lose!" Ayu states. "So to avoid losing, I have to answer incorrectly on purpose?" Yuzu wonders. "That's correct!" Kyuando confirms. "No, it's fine really, go ahead and answer correctly!" He said. "Now then, give me your answer!" Kyuando demands. Yuzu grits her teeth in frustration.
"Which monster on the Field has the highest Level?" Kyuando asks. "Go on, give your answer" He taunts Yuzu. "Quiz Monkey…" Yuzu answers. Kyuando look surprised and then laughs. "That's right, of course you'd answer that way. But, too bad! Since your incorrect, the Battle Phase ends!" Kyuando states. "At the same time, you answered "zero" to Quiz Monkey's questions" He points out. "What's this? Don't I still have two monsters on my Field at the end of Battle Phase?" Kyuando inquires. "Which means you've answered the questions incorrectly as well! So I'm able to destroy one of your monsters!" He states. "I'm destroying Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" He declares and Quiz Monkey blasted Mozarta. "What the heck, Mozarta still ended up getting destroyed!" Futoshi exclaims and Mozarta disappeared. "With that destruction, Quiz Monkey's ATK become the same as Mozarta's!" Kyuando states (Quiz Monkey's ATK: 2600). "Destroyed Pendulum Monsters go to the Extra Deck instead of the Graveyard" Yuzu states. "So, you just managed to avoid losing, but what will you do now?" Kyuando asks. "I activate Opus's monster effect!" Yuzu declares. "Once per turn, when a monster on my Field is destroyed, I can draw one card per "Melodious" monster on my Field" She explains. "There are two Melodious on my field, so I draw two cards!" Yuzu states and draws. "Alright! My options aren't closed off yet!" Yuzu thinks. "I set three cards and end my turn!" Yuzu declares. At that moment Yuzu dons her visors and sees a 5000 block and aims for it. "Your hand is at zero, so all you can do is rely on an Action Card?" Kyuando knows. "My, turn, Battle Phase!" He declares.
"Quiz Monkey, attack Viola!" Kyuando orders. "Trap Activate: Absolute Delay!" Yuzu responds. "This card turns all monsters on my field to Defense Position, (Opus's DEF: 600, Viola's DEF: 900) and for this turn, Melodious destroyed in battle are returned to my hand!" She states. Viola was destroyed, causing Yuzu to miss her 5000 block and fall. "I return Viola the Melodious Diva to my hand!" Yuzu states. "Continuing the Battle Phase, Quiz Sphinx, attack Opus!" Kyuando orders and Quiz Sphinx attacks Opus. "I return Opus the Melodious Diva to my hand!" Yuzu states. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell: Double It! from my hand!" Kyuando declares. "If a Level 4 or higher Quiz Monster destroyed a Defense Position monster this turn, its ATK is doubled and it can attack again!" He explains (Quiz Sphinx's ATK: 2000). "Then that means it'll end with this direct attack!" Tatsuya realizes. "Quiz Sphinx, direct attack on Yuzu Hiragi!" Kyuando order. "This will end it!" He declares. "No, not yet!" Yuzu declares as she continues to aim for the 5000 block. "I don't think that Action Card will be of any help to you now" Kyuando states. "I'm fine with that! Yuzu states as he jumps up on the platforms. "To think she's going to gamble away 5000 LP…She really grasping at straws now" Kyuando sense desperation from Yuzu and Quiz Monkey nods in agreement. "There!" Yuzu cheers as she lands on the 5000 block and the Action Card was flung up and Yuzu grabs it. "Action Trap, activate!" Yuzu declares. "Quiz Action!" The block-faced Quiz Action card declares. "The genre you have chosen is Math for 500!" It states. "Of all things, math!" Futoshi panics. "Question: Prove Fermat's Last Theorem" The block-faced Quiz Action card asks. Yuzu's supporters were stumped. "Ha! That's such an easy question! For me at least" Kyuando claims. "You have five seconds" The block-faced Quiz Action card states. Yuzu smiles and takes off her visors "I don't know" she calmly states, much to Ayu, Futoshi and Tatsuya's shock. "So you're not going to answer?" Kyuando inquires. "It seems there's no need for me to step in then!" He states. "Enjoy being wiped out by the 5000 of damage from your incorrect answer. Adiue!" Kyudano tells Yuzu. "I'm fine with being incorrect!" Yuzu states, which confused Kyuando. "Trap Activate: Melodious Refreshed Surge!" Yuzu declares. "In a turn an Melodious monster is destroyed, I can reflect effect damage to my opponent once!" She explains as images Viola and Opus came out of the card and floats to the 5000 block and it glows and pulsated. "Huwha?!" Kyuando exclaim. The 5000 came out of the block and into Melodious Refreshed Surge "Go!" Yuzu yells out and the 5000 is blasted at Kyuando and he was hit with the numbers one at a time. "No way…" Kyuando shocked (Kyuando's LP: 1300). "If this is activated during the Battle Phase it is ended immediately!" Yuzu explains.
"She did it!" Ayu and Tatsuya cheers. "Shivers!" Futoshi cheers. "Unbelivable! THE Kyuando actually took damage?!" The rest of the audience chant their disbelief in unison. "Using an incorrect answer against me!? How is that even possible!?" Kyuando shock. "It means that quizzes aren't just constrained to correct and incorrect answers. Because after all, this is a Quiz Duel…It's a Duel, isn't it?" Yuzu simply states. "Th-that's…I'm well aware of it!" Kyuando angry at Yuzu for stating the obvious. "I set two cards and end my turn!" He states. "Double It!'s effect ends and Quiz Sphinx's ATK returns to normal!" Kyuando said (Quiz Sphinx's ATK: 1000). "My turn! The fun has just begun!" Yuzu declares. Yuzu's supports cheers. Then a spotlight shines on Yuzu. "Ladies and Gentlemen! With my Pendulum Scale already set to 1 and 9, I'm able to summon multiple Level 2 to 8 monsters simultaneously!" Yuzu declares. Kyunado look around with a angry look on his face. "Now then let us begin!" Yuzu states. "Sway, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw the arc of light across the aerther! Pendulum Summon!" She chants. "First up is Gita the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 800) Next up will be the reintroductions of our Melodious monsters who just left the stage! Viola the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 1700) Opus the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 1200) And with it wondrous and beautiful angelic voice…Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares (ATK: 2600). "Trap Activate: Final Question!" Kyuando declares. "Question: At the start of this turn's Battle Phase, how many monsters will be on the Field?" He asks. "Another quiz?!" Futoshi signs. "If you answer correctly, all of my monsters will be destroyed. If you're incorrect, then all of your monsters will be wiped out" Kyunado explains. "Now see if you can answer this one!" He states. "There will be two on your field, and four on mine. My answer is six!" Yuzu confidently declares. "Battle Phase!" She calls out. "You fell for it!" Kyuando smirks. "Trap Activate: Card Chute!" He declares. "This card increase Quiz Sphinx's ATK by a Level 4 or lower Quiz Monster's ATK, in this case, Quiz Monkey's 2600! (Quiz Sphinx's ATK: 3600) And then, Quiz Monkey is returned to my hand!" Kyuando states. "With that, there are now five monsters on the Field at the start of the Battle Phase!" He points out. "Which makes your answer of six monsters incorrect!" Kyunado states. "That means all of your monsters are wiped out!" He declares and an explosion accrued on Yuzu's Field. "It went all as I planned, I corrected you with my correct answer!" Kyunado, laughs maniacally, claims.
"Now then, I have a question for you!" Yuzu interrupts Kyunado. "Who will be the winner of this Duel?" She asks. "Well, that's obviously going to be me!" Kyunado confident. "I wonder about that!" Yuzu states which confused Kyunado. "Now your attention please!, For when the smoke clears, you'll witness an amazing spectacle on this Field! And please feel free to applaud!" Yuzu tells the audiences. When the smoke clears "Th-that's impossible!" Kyunando, shocked. "Why?! WHY!?" He outraged to see Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra is still standing. "Trap Card: Melodious Curtain Call!" Yuzu declares. "With this card, Mozarta's destruction is negated. Then, her ATK is increase by 600 for every Melodious destroyed the turn!" She explains (Mozarta's ATK: 4400). Kyunado went silent. "Let's go! I attack Quiz Sphinx with Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares. "Idiot! Did you forget Quiz Sphinx's effect?!" Kyunado yells out. "If you attack a Quiz monster you must answer its question first!" He reminds Yuzu. "Monsters under the effect of Melodious Curtain Call negates all of the opponent's Spell, Trap, or Monster Card's effect!" Yuzu states. "What!? Then that means my Trap Card: Not So Fast! too…?" Kyunado shock. "Mozarta's effect activates!" Yuzu declares. "When it battles a Level 5 or higher monster, the battle damage dealt to the opponent is double!" She states and Mozarta attacks and destroyed Quiz Sphinx. "With that the damage you take is 1600!" Yuzu states. "Th-this can't be!" Kyundao yells out as he was blasted backward. (Kyunado's LP: 0). "The winner of this Duel is me, Yuzu Hiragi!" Yuzu smiles. "Eita Kyuando, you're incorrect!" She states.
The Action Field disappears, "I'm…incorrect?" Kyuando shocked. "I won…" Yuzu whispers. "Congratulations, Yuzu! You didn't forget your Dueling fundamentals and turned it around by using the Field and the cards to your advantage!" Nico tells Yuzu. "Dueling is a method of communicating to your opponent through your cards" Meiseki's MC agrees. "You have reminded us of the original principles of Dueling" He states. "Communicating through your cards…?" Kyunado disheartened by his defeat, but receives an encore from the audience as well as Yuzu's supporters. "SH-IV-ER-S!" Futosahi said.
In some other place, a White Knight piece lands on a Duelist (LP: 0). "Checkmate! Right?" Sora states as he wins the Duel on a chess field as Yuya watches. At Leo Corporation "President, we've detected another unprecedented amount of Fusion Summoning in the city center" A man calls Reiji. "I see. It seems he is winning as well" Reiji said.
OC Cards:
Melodious Recasting (Spell Card)
Shuffle any number of "Melodious" monsters from your hand into the Deck, than draw that same number of cards + 1.
Opus the Melodious Diva (Pendulum/Effect Monster, Level: 3, Type: Fairy, Attribute: Earth, ATK: 1200, DEF: 600, Scale: 6)
Pendulum effect: You can draw one card, then shuffle this card into your Deck.
Monster effect: Once per turn, if another monster(s) you control is destroyed: You can draw 1 card for each "Melodious" monster you control.
Absolute Delay (Trap Card)
During either player's Battle Phase: Change all monsters you control to Defense Position, also return all "Melodious" monsters under your control that were destroyed by battle this turn to the hand.
Melodious Refreshed Surge (Trap Card)
If a "Melodious" monster(s) under your control was destroyed this turn: Once during this turn, if you would take effect damage, your opponent takes the effect damage instead. If this card is activated during the Battle Phase, end the Battle Phase.
Melodious Curtain Call (Trap Card)
Target 1 monster you control; until the end of this turn, it gains 600 ATK for each "Melodious" monster that was destroyed this turn, it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also if it attacks, negate the effects of all cards your opponent controls.
