A New Boundary -Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo
"I have some saddening news for everyone today. Today will be the last of Nico Smiley's exciting recap corner!" Nico recap, bemoaning. "On that note, we're heading into the fourth and final match I produced for Yuzu! And her opponent is Noboru Gongenzaka! As everyone knows, he is Yuzu's best friend!" He explains. "Yuzu is feeling shaken at having to fight her old friend who always supported her…" Nico states. "On top on that, Gongenzaka had been betting his entrance to the Junior Youth Championship on this Duel…" He adds. "In front of the trembling Yuzu's very eyes, Gongenzaka did the unexpected…and succeeded in a Synchro Summon!" Nico exclaims. "Well then, our time together is over" He declares. "Please enjoy the continuation to this story in the show!" Nico ask everyone "Adieu! Adieu! Adieu!" He bids them.
"Gongenzaka did a Synchro Summon?" Yuzu shocked as she looks at Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo (DEF: 3800). "As expected of Gongenzaka!" Nico comment, but Gongenzaka's father didn't seem happy. Up in the hidden room "Yuzu…" Yuya worries. "Here we go Yuzu! From here on out in the real match!" Gongenzaka tells Yuzu. "Are you prepared for this?" He asks. "That's enough!" Gongenzaka's father interrupts. "My son, Noboru, has lost this match!" He claims. Gongenzaka and Yuzu gasps in shock. "Gongenzaka…lost?" Yuya shocked. "Huh?!" Shuzo shocked. "Why?!" Sora and the kids asks in shock. "Steadfast Dueling means that having an immovable spirit is crucial. From the moment you stole techniques from another school in order to win…you lost this Duel!" Gongenzaka's father explains. "I did not steal them, I requested instruction!" Gongenzaka replies. Mr. Gongenzaka was shocked. "Intruction…? You don't mean…!" Yuzu realizes. "Of course, Yaiba Todo" Gongenzaka confirms. "From LDS?! From an opponent who caused you to suffer so much?!" Yuzu shocked. "If there is need to learn, I will graciously request instruction from even my enemies! It's only normal" Gongenzaka replies. "I didn't learn Synchro Summoning just to win, but to bring forth a new horizon to Steadfast Dueling!" He claims. "In order to bring forth a new Steadfast Dueling…?" Mr. Gongenzaka confused. "Dueling evolves every day! It is a necessity for even the stationary Steadfast Dueling in order to not get left behind along with an era!" Gongenzaka emphatically claims.
Yuzu grits her teeth. "Save your judgment on my decision until after you witness this match!" Gongenzaka tells his father. "Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo can attack while in Defense Position using its DEF as its ATK!" He explains. Yuzu grunts and runs. "Battle Phase!" Gongenzaka declares. "Go, Susanowo! Attack Cynthia the Melodious Valkyrie!" He orders as Yuzu leaps onto Cynthia back and she runs to get an Action Card. "Kusanagi Sword Slash!" Gongenzaka declares. Yuzu grabs an Action Card "Action Spell: Evasion!" She declares. "It negates an attack!" Yuzu states. "I won't let you! While I control a face-up Defense Position Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo, and there are no Spell Cards in my Graveyard: I can pay 500 LP to activate a Spell Card from my opponent's Graveyard!" Gongenzaka reveals and he glows red (Gongenzaka's LP: 3500). "The Spell Card I choose to activate is Action Spell: Over Sword!" Gongenzaka declares (Susanowo's ATK: 2900). "It can use Spell Cards in Yuzu's Graveyard…?" Yuya shocked. "But it doesn't matter how much he raise its ATK if he's attacking with its DEF!" Tatsuya confused. "No…Over Sword has another effect. And that is…" Sora points out. "The monster equipped with this card cannot have its attacks negated!" Gongenzaka explains. The attack destroys Cynthia and sends Yuzu flying (Yuzu's LP: 2000). "I end my turn with that" Gongenzaka states. "Bravo!" Nico claps his hands. "Using his knowledge of Synchro Monsters and Action Cards in a beautiful collaboration!" He praises Gongenzaka. "Wouldn't you say it's truly the birth of a new Steadfast Dueling?" Nico asks Mr. Gongenzaka, but Mr. Gongenzaka didn't seem convinced.
Yuzu gets up "Amazing…I'm shocked…That means you've master Synchro Summon this much…" She admits. "Now that you've shown me this much, I can't afford to lose!" Yuzu claims. "My turn, Draw!" She declares and draws, getting Arial the Melodious Sorceress.

"I finally found it…just one answer" Yuzu thinks as she remembers her first Fusion Summoning.

"Pendulum Fusion…" Yuzu thinks. "Yuzu…" Yuya thinks as he looks worriedly at the Polymerization card in his hand. "There isn't a Fusion card in my Deck anymore, but…I've decided. I'll use that as a hint to help me find what lies beyond Pendulum Summoning with my own strength!"Yuzu muses. She looks at her hand, which contains Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra, Empty Fishing, Opus the Melodious Diva and Caroline the Melodious Guardian. "And what I can do is…" Yuzu muse. "I, using the Scale 2 Caroline the Melodious Mercenary, and the Scale 6 Opus the Melodious Diva…set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu declares. "Swing, pendulum of souls! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters!" She chants. "From my hand: Arial the Melodious Sorceress! (DEF: 2400) From my Extra Deck: Cynthia the Melodious Valkyrie!" She declares (DEF: 700). "There it is, Pendulum Summon!" Shuzo cheers. "Shivers!" Futoshi exclaims. "But Arial and Cynthia are both in Defense Position…" Tatsuya notes. "Why?" Ayu asks. "The DEF of Gon-chan's Susanowo is 3800. Yuzu doesn't have a monster powerful enough to challenge that…" Sora reveals. "That's why she's making a wall with Defense Position monsters" Yuya comments. "So it would seem" Sora muse. "But she can't win with just that" Yoko points out. "Think…a new way to defeat him…I have to summon Musia!" Yuzu thinks. "I end my turn with this!" Yuzu states. "In the end, she only tightened up her guard…" Tatsuya observes. Everyone signs. "Just as I thought…Yuzu should have held onto this…" Yuya thinks as he looks at his Polymerization card.
"Yuzu! Even if you tried and build up your defense, you have no time left!" Gongenzaka warns her. "My turn, draw!" He declares and he draws explosively. "I Summon Superheavy Samurai Soulpiercer from my hand!" Gongenzaka exclaims (ATK: 1200). "And I equip it to Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo!" He states. Soulpiercer merges with Susanowo's arm. "With Soulpiercer equipped, Susanowo deals piercing damage!" Gongenzaka explains. "What?!" Yuzu shocked. "Battle Phase, Susanowo! Attack Cynthia!" Gongenzaka declares. The Soulpiercer portion of Susanowo draws back. "Cynthia's DEF IS 700! If she takes an attack from Susanowo's 3800…!" Tatsuya gasps. "She'll take the 3100 difference in damage and…!" Futoshi continues. "Yuzu, with just 2000 life points, will…!" Ayu finish. Yuzu dashes forward. "Soulpiercer, Fire!" Gongenzaka orders and Soulpiercer fire an arrow at Cynthia. Yuzu dives and grabbed an Action Card "I activate Action Spell: Miracle!" Yuzu declares. "It negates a monster's destruction and halves the damage from that battle!" She states. Yuzu's LP takes a heavy hit (Yuzu's LP: 450). Yuzu breathes heavily from the impact. "I end my turn now!" Gongenzaka declares. "She somehow managed scrape by this time" Shuzo muse. "Yuzu only has 450 life remaining" Tatsuya states. "And she only has two cards in her hand. Whatever she draws next will decide the match" Sora points out. "Yuzu…" Yuya thinks as he watches worriedly.
"You really strong, Gongenzaka" Yuzu compliments Gongenzaka. "Are you admitting your defeat? Do you plan to surrender now?" Gongenzaka asks. "No, if I was going to lose, I'd let you land the finishing blow. But, that's only after I've gone all out!" Yuzu reassures Gongenzaka. "My turn!" She declares and draws Gita the Melodious Diva. "All I can do now is…" Yuzu thinks. "Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monster! Level 3, Gita the Melodious Diva!" She declares (ATK: 800). "Huh?!" Yuya and Shuzo shock. "At a time like this…?!" Sora shock. "Gita!?" The kids shock. "Gita the Melodious Diva can be counted as two materials for Advance Summon!" Yuzu states. "I Release Gita, and Advance Summon Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra from my hand" She declares (ATK: 2600). "There it is!" Tatsuya cheers. "Yuzu's ace monster!" Ayu cheers. "But she can't defeat the 3800 DEF Susanowo with the 2600 ATK Mozarta" Sora notes. "What are you planning to do, Yuzu?" Yuya wonders. "The only thing I can do is…" Yuzu thinks. "I activate Opus the Melodious Diva's Pendulum Effect!" Yuzu declares. Gongenzaka gasp. "I can draw one card from my Deck, then return this card to my Deck" Yuzu explains. Opus fades from the Pendulum Zone "This is the best I can do now!" Yuzu declares. "Draw!" She shout as she draws dramatically, getting Beste the Melodious Enchantress and the card glows yellow. "This is…!" Yuzu surprises. "I set the Scale 4 Beste the Melodious Enchantress in the Pendulum Zone!" She declares. "You're wasting your time! Even if you do that, you can only Pendulum Summon once per turn!" Gongenzaka tells Yuzu. "I activate Beste's Pendulum Effect!" Yuzu declares. "Once per turn, I can use monsters on my Field as materials to perform a Fusion Summon!" She explains. Beste blasts a barrage of musical symbols from her staff at the ground, creating a Fusion portal. "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Using a Pendulum Monster's effect to…" Sora surprised. "Do a Fusion Summon?!" Yuya surprised. "The monsters I choose to fuse are Arial the Melodious Sorceress and Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares. As they swirl together "Wielder of mysterious vocals, become a dazzling melody in the eyes of the maestra! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Arcane maestra of ancient magic! Musia the Melodious Pendulum Mystic!" Yuzu chants (ATK: 3000). "Yuzu has a Fusion Monster?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Yeah! She did it!" Tatsuya cheers. "A Fusion Summon without a Fusion Card!" Ayu cheers. "Too many shivers!" Futoshi cheers. "That's Yuzu's Fusion Monster?!" Shuzo shocked. "Amazing! She's managed to overcome my expectations yet again!" Sora proudly comments. "Yuzu…" Yuya, clutches his card, pleased at Yuzu's success.
Yuzu leaps onto Musia back and dons her visors. "Battle Phase! Musia the Melodious Pendulum Mystic, attack Susanowo!" Yuzu declares. "At this moment, I activate Caroline the Melodious Mercenary's Pendulum Effect!" She states. "It lowers Susanowo's DEF by 800 and lets Musia deal piercing damage!" She explains. Caroline breathes a bubble at the Machine, which bursts (Susanowo's DEF: 3000). "Shoot! Luminous Stream!" Yuzu declares and Musia blasted Susanowo. "It's pointless! Even if you lower Susanowo's DEF to 3000, it won't budge to your 3000 ATK!" Gongenzaka points out. "I wonder about that!" Yuzu wonders. "What?" Gongenzaka confused. "Musia the Melodious Pendulum Mystic can attack a number of times based on the Level of the Spellcaster-Type monster used as it Fusion Material!" Yuzu explains. "With the Level 5 the Melodious Sorceress as its Fusion Material, it can attack three times!" She states. Gongenzaka gasps. "Along with each attacks, Susanowo's DEF decrease by 800 from Caroline' effect!" Yuzu adds and Caroline breathes another bubble at the Machine, which bursts (Susanowo's DEF: 2200). Yuya and Sora smiles. "Go! Here's the second attack! Eternal Luminous Stream!" Yuzu declares and Musia attack a second time. "I pay 500 LP to activate the Action Card: Evasion using Susanowo's effect!" Gongenzaka counters (Gongenzaka's LP: 3000). "And I negate your attack!" He declares and "Susanowo" slashes with its naiganta (Susanowo's DEF: 3000). "Brilliant tactic! Well done, Noboru!" Gongenzaka's father congratulates his tactics. "It's not over yet!" Yuzu states. ""By Caroline's effect, it DEF drops by another 800!"She declares and Caroline breathed a third bubble at the Machine, which bursts (Susanowo's DEF: 2200). Gongenzaka groans in annoyance. "Time for the third attack! Musia! Eternal Luminous Stream!" Yuzu declares and Musia attack a third time and destroyed Susanowo (Gongenzaka's LP: 2200). "Alright!" Ayu cheers. "She finally…" Tatsuya said. "took out Susanowo!" Futoshi finish. "This is nothing!"Gongenzaka calls it. "I send Superheavy Samurai Soulbeads from my hand to the Graveyard and activate its monster effect!" He declares. "I can Special Summon a destroyed monster in Attack Position!" Gongenzaka explains. Susanowo grabs onto Soulbeads as it re-materializes (ATK: 2400). "Brilliant tactics again! Nice recovery, Noboru!" Gongenzaka's excited, calls it. "She just managed to take it out too…" Ayu bemoans. "Gongenzaka really is a tough opponent" Futoshi bemoans. "Yuzu needs to finish it this turn since her life is 450" Sora comments. "That'll be really difficult though" Shuzo admits. "I can't just sit around anymore!" Futoshi states. Ayu nods in agreement. "Let's get a closer to cheer for her!" Tatsuya decides. "But-" Yuya tries to get them to wait. "It'll be fine" Yoko reassure Yuya. "Huh?" Yuya confused. "She's completely focused on her Duel. She's already overcome the wall of being the away team" Yoko states. "Mom…" Yuya whispers
"You truly are a wall, Gongenzaka. A huge wall in front of me barring my way" Yuzu admits as she removes her visors. "It means I won't be able to beat you without surpassing my own limits!" Yuzu states. "I've got no choice but to use that. The first card that I had set…" She thinks. Yuzu sets off on Musia. The kids dash into the dojo "Yuzu!" Tatsuya cheers. "Good luck!" Ayu and Futoshi cheers. "Yuzu's one hope is probably…" Sora states. "the Action Cards scattered across the field" Yuya agrees. Musia dashing towards an Action Card in the fork of a dead tree on the other side of a chasm. "I will surpass my own limits!" Yuzu yells. Yuzu had Musia leap over the chasm. "She jumped!" Yuya shocked. "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka shocked. Yuzu jumps off in mid-leap, trying to grab the card, to everyone's shocked. She snags it with her fingers, and lands and rolls to a safe stop. Yuzu heaving a sigh of relief as well as the kids. "Yuzu…you really…!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Alright!" Yuzu cheers. "I send the Action Card: Over Sword to my Graveyard, and activate the Trap Card: Danger Draw!" She declares. "By Danger Draw's effect I am able to draw one card, but if the card I draw is a monster…I will take damage equal to its ATK!" Yuzu explains. "Wh-what?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "If a monster 450 or more ATK comes up, then…!" Sora shocked. "Yuzu will lose right then and there!" Tatsuya shocked. Ayu and Futoshi were shocked. "Yuzu!" Yuya shocked. "She's gambling on it…Oh whether she moves on from here or if it's game over. All on this draw!" Yoko explains. Yuzu herself swallows "I believe…In myself and my cards!" She thinks as her Pendulum begins to swings. "Draw!" Yuzu yells, getting Big Return, and a head of a fairy. "Quick-Play Spell: Big Return allows me to reuse a "once per turn" card effect currently on my Field! Activate!" Yuzu declares. "I'll reuse Beste's Pendulum Effect!" She states and Beste let loose a blast of musical symbols again at Yuzu's monsters. "I chose Cynthia the Melodious Valkyrie and Musia the Melodious Pendulum Mystic to…Fusion Summon!" Yuzu declares. "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Another…" Sora shocked. "Fusion?!" Yuya shocked. "Prideful sliver valkyrie, become one with the arcane maestra and give birth to a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth, passionate maestra with exquisite sounds! Lace the Melodious Pendulum Fauna!" Yuzu chants (ATK: 3000). Everyone gasps in shock at the 3000 ATK Fairy as Nico claps. Yuzu jump on to Lace, and they into the air. "Lace the Melodious Pendulum Fauna, attack Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo! Melancholy Thrust Rupture!" Yuzu declares and Susanowo was destroyed (Gongenzaka's LP: 1600). Yuzu lands "Furthermore, I activate Lace the Melodious Pendulum Fauna's effect!" She declares. "When it destroyed an opponent's monster in battle, it can inflict damage equal to the ATK of its Aqua-type Fusion Material!" She explains. Cynthia's ATK is 1800!" Yuzu states. "This will end it, Gongenzaka!" Yuzu tells him as Luce blasts a shockwave at Gongenzaka (Gongenzaka's LP: 0).
Yuzu sighs in relief "Yuzu!" The kids calls out and Yuzu see them running towards her. "Y-you guys!" Yuzu surprised. "You won!" Tatsuya exclaims. "It was amazing!" Ayu states. "It gave me shivers!" Futoshi exclaims. "Don't tell me you were watching?" Yuzu asks. "Yeah! Nico told us we couldn't cheer you on in person, so…" Ayu explains. "We were watching secretly!" Tatsuya explains. "If you're aiming to be a pro, then you have to be able to win when you're away team after all" Yoko points out. "Aunt!" Yuzu exclaims. "And you pulled off a splendid victory!" Shuzo, speeds over, exclaim. "You were on fire, Yuzu! Hot-Bloodied!" He comments. "No kidding, even I got a bit excited watching that! I never thought you'd use a Pendulum Effect to Fusion Summon!" Sora admits "Yuzu! Congratulation!" Yuya congratulates her. "I see…I didn't notice, but they were all watching me!" Yuzu realizes. Gongenzaka then approaches "Gongenzaka…" Yuzu whispers. "Since I won, your entry in the Junior Youth Championship is…" She apologizes. "Don't worry about it. There's still a week until the tournament. I still have a chance" Gongenzaka reassures her. "I'm glad that I was able to push you this far" He admits. The two shakes hands "So moving! This is truly friendships between friends!" Shuzo emotional, calling it. "Principal! Tone it down!" Yuya tells him as he smacks him with his fan to calm him down. "Noboru, you fought well!" Gongenzaka father, also got emotional, tells his son. "You both are splendid Duellist!" He cries out. "Well done, Yuzu" Nico mentally congratulates her. "I knew I had chosen the right Duellist. You have what it takes to become a pro like Yusho Sakaki. You'll become a first-rate star, won't you?" He thinks as he watches a tearful Gongenzaka embrace Yuzu, who struggles to get away.
At the Leo Corporation, "It appears Yuzu Hiragi's entry into the Junior Youth Championship has been decide" Nakajima informs Reiji. "I see. Then that means all of the Duellist I've had my eyes on are accounted for" Reiji muses. "Yes, sir. Also concerning the incident with Masumi Koutsu, Yaiba Todo and Hokuto Shijima…" Nakajima states. "Have you finished erasing there memoires yet?" Reiji asks. "Yes, sir. Their Duel that night with Shun Kurosaki, as well as anything concerning him, has been erased" Nakajima informs Reiji. "Good work. Now the environment for Kurosaki's entry into the tournament is prepared" Reiji states. "All that's left is seeing how much power he will display…The same question applies to them as well…" He muses. He looks at a folder on his tablet entitled Lancers Selection, "From among these few, how many of these Duelist will become lancers to fight for our world?" Reiji wonders, looking at several Duelists including Yuzu and Sora.
