White-Hot Battle! Entertainment Duel Show!
"With this I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 4 to 10!" Sawatari states. "Pendulum Summon!" He declares. The portal opens, releasing a giant green tornado "O wind-clan chief of phantoms! Gouge these lands with your raging cloak! Come forth! Mayosenju Daibak!" Sawatari chants. Daibak, a giant weasel of green wind, roars as it stands (ATK: 3000). "It's time we settle this once and for all!" Sawatari tells Yuzu. "Settle this? Don't be ridiculous! The Duel has just begun!" Yuzu comments. "What?" Sawatari asks. "The fun has just begun!" Yuzu declares.
Yuzu runs up the hill around the Sunset Stronghold "This is truly earth-shaking!" Nico calls it. "And by that, I mean this shocking turn of event!" He states. "Rumor has it that only Hiragi can use Pendulum Summoning, but…Sawatari has just perfectly executed the Summons! And With her Pendulum Cards all returned to her Deck by the Yosen Lost Tornado combo, and her hand at zero, just what will Hiragi do?" Nico wonders. "I just wanted to see a Pendulum Summon, but this is turning out to be amazing!" One of the boys in the crowd admits. "I never would've thought both of them would be Pendulum Summoning!" His friend replies. "Yuzu, you're still in this!" Yuya shouts in encouragement. "Open a path with your own strength!" Gongenzaka shouts. "Yuzu!" Tatsuya shouts. "You can do it!" Ayu and Futoshi shouts, while Kurosaki watches from the sidelines. Meanwhile "I commend you for not giving up and looking for hope in Action Cards. But all that remains for you is despair!" Sawatari comments. "My turn!" He declares and draws as Yuzu. "I Summon Yosenju Kama 1 from my hand!" He states (ATK: 1600). "With Kama 1's successful Summon, I Summon Yosenju Kama 2!" Swatari states (ATK: 1800). "Then, I Summon Yosenju Kama 3 with Kama 2's effect!" He declares (ATK: 1500). "At the same time, Training Grounds' effect activates!" Sawatari states. "One Yosen Counter lights for each "Yosenju" Summoned" He explains. "While you've been running around looking for Action Cards, I've gotten everything set up! Now it's time to end this!" Sawatari comments. Yuzu runs into a section of the ruined castle itself "All right!" Yuzu said as she looping around a hole in the floor as she looks for Action Cards. Sawatari smirks "I know what you're scheming…You're just trying to bluff me with those two face-down cards you have, but that's not happening! I can't return face-down cards with Kama 1's effect, but…" Sawatari thinks. "I activate Shinchu R's Pendulum effect!" Sawatari declares. "When there is another "Yosenju" card in the opposite Pendulum Zone, its Pendulum Scale changes from 5 to 11 this turn!" He explains (Shinchu R's Scale: 11). "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 4 to 10!" Sawatari states, and as the crowd cheer and Yuzu runs up the castle stairs "Pendulum Summon" Sawatari declares. The portal opens and disgorges the tornado. "O wind-clad chief of phantoms! Gouge these lands with your raging cloak! Come forth, Mayosenju Daibak!" He chants (ATK: 3000). "I light one Yosen counter!" Sawatari states as another counter lights up on Yosen Training Grounds. As Yuzu runs up the stairs "Yuzu, what're you going to do?" Yuya wonders. "Daibak's effect even works on face-down cards!" Sawatari reveals. "He's going to wipe Yuzu's field?!" Shuzo realizes in horror. "I activate Daibak's effect!" Sawatari declares. "I return two cards on the Field to their owner's hand!" He states. Yuzu gasp as a big gust of wind blows away both of her face-down cards. "And now, Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village will send those to cards back to your Deck with its effect!" Sawatari states. "It's the end!" He declares. "Too bad! It looks like your precious backrow was useless!" Sawatari comments. Yuzu friends and family looks on in worrier.
"No, that's fine!" Yuzu replies. Sawatari was confuses. Somersaulting out of a hole to land on the castle's roof. "If this Set card is removed from the Field: It changes the names of all my opponent's monsters to "Amnesia"!" Yuzu explains as she holds up the Continuous Trap: Amnesia. "What?" Sawatari gasps in shock as light strikes his cards, changing their names. "What's this!? All of Sawatari's cards are now nameless!" Nico exclaims. "Why you…! You were trying to do this from the start!" Sawatari gasps furiously. "That's right! "Yosenju" monsters aren't affected by Dizzying Wind…But...!" Yuzu replies. "I get it!" Yuya realizes. "Now that his monsters are no longer "Yosenju" cards, at the end of this turn…" Tatsuya realizes. "They'll return to the Deck instead of the hand due to Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village's effect…" Sora confirms. Sawatari almost loses his temper, but he manages to calm himself down "You're not half bad…" He admits. "Only because I was able to use your cards' effects against you!" Yuzu replies. Sawatari laughs "But do you think you'll last until the end of this turn?" He asks Yuzu. "I'll end this Duel berfore then!" Sawatari states. He leaps into the air, and Daibak blasts a tornado from its horn that provides a platform for Sawatari to land, and then jump again to land on Daibak's shoulder. "It's time to battle! I attack directly with Daibak!" Sawatari declares. "All of you, follow me!" He orders his other Yosenju monsters. "Sawatari makes a brutal attack! His appearance cam be likened to a daredevil laying waste to a castle!" Nico narrate as Daibak and the Kama brothers devastate the gate of the stronghold before leaping into the air. Yuzu dons her visors "I won't let this be ober!" She refuse and backflips into the hole that she leapt out of. "It's the end!" Sawatari yells and Daibak attacks, sending a tornado towards the building and ripping into the foundations. "Yuzu!" Yuya and Gongenzaka cries out, and then the building collapses. "No!" Yuya screams in horror. "Yuzu!" Tatsuya screams. "No way…." Ayu shocked. "Yuzu…" Yoko whispers, while the LDS students watch impassively. Sawatari laughs "You've lost, Yuzu Hiragi!" He tells her.
Then someone snaps their fingers. Yuya looks up "Hold on! Who is that we see over there!?" Nico asks. "That's…!" Shuzo cheers. "She did it!" Gongenzaka cheers. "It's Hiragi!" Nico declares, who stands unharmed in a spotlight. "Yuzu!" Yuya gasps her name in joy. "All right!" The kids cheers. "No way! I should have landed that direct attack!" Sawatari protest. Yuzu smiles "Did you think I would be running around without a plan?" She asks. "So she got an Action Card at the last second, then?" Yaiba muse. "That's pretty good!" Masumi impressed.

"It looks like she baited Daibak's attack knowing where the Action Card was" Hokuto comments as Yuzu snagging the card on her way down.

"Action Spell: Big Escape!" Yuzu declares. "It ends the Battle Phase!" She explains. Sawatari got annoyed. "Amazing! It's like she's a escape artist!" A girl in the crowd gasps. "Nice one!" Another spectator congratulates her. Yuzu bows to the crowd "Stop messing around! You're not allowed to excite the crowd!" Sawatari protest. "This is MY dueling style!" Yuzu snaps back. "But I'm one who will be getting the last cheer!" Sawatari retorts. "I activate the effect of Training Ground!" He declares. "I can add one "Yosenju" monster to my hand by using three Yosen counters!" Sawatari explains. "I add Kama 3 to my hand and end my turn!" He states. "Now, then, may I ask that your monsters leave the stage?" Yuzu asks. Daibak dissipates in a whirlwind that lowers Sawatari to the ground, and then the Kama brothers retreat as well. "At the end of my turn, Yosen Whirlwind is destroyed because a "Yosenju" monster did not return to my hand" Sawatari explains. "Also, Shinchu R's Pendulum Scale returns to normal" He adds (Shinchu R's Scale: 5). "Sawatari's monsters return not to his hand, but to his Deck due to the effect of Dizzying Winds!" Nico reminds the crowd as Sawatari slides the cards into his Duel Disk. "Looks like both of our Fields have gotten pretty lonely" Yuzu comments. Sawatari grins "I'll be making it lively again as soon as my next turn comes around! During the main event in which you'll taste defeat!" He reassures Yuzu. "Sorry, but I don't plan on losing either!" Yuzu replies as she puts her visors on her forehead.
"My turn, draw!" Yuzu declares. "All right!" She cheers at her draw. "When neither of us controls any monsters, I can Normal Summon this card from my hand by reducing its Level by 1!" Yuzu states. "I Summon Layla the Melodious Virtuoso!" She declares (ATK: 1600) (LV: 5-4). "Let's battle! I attack directly with Layla" Yuzu declares as she leaps onto Layla's back. "So you're going to attack, huh?" Sawatari mutters. "I can't back down now!" He refuse as he look his hand, containing the Kama 3 and Yosenju Oyam that he added to it earlier, along with another Oyam. "When you declare a direct attack: I send one Yosenju to my Graveyard…to Special Summon Yosenju Oyam!" Sawatari declares as he discard the another Oyam, and the giant pillar towers over the stronghold. "I light one Yosen counter!" Sawatari remains Yuzu. "Oyam's ATK is the same as the original ATK of the monster it battles!" He states (ATK: 1600). "I activate Layla's effect!" Yuzu declares in responds. "It can increase one monster's ATK by 600 until the end of the Battle Phase!" She explains (Layla's ATK: 2200). Layla pounds her chest to send out shockwaves that destroy Oyam (Sawatari's LP: 1400). "Hiragi has recover from a near-death situation and manages to deal damage to Sawatari!" Nico narrates the event as Layla slides down the hill and comes to a halt, Yuzu hops off Layla. "At the end of the Battle Phase, Layla's effect wears off!" Yuzu states (Layla's ATK: 1600). "All right! Yuzu Hiragi is fighting back!" One of the boys in the crowd cheers. "Will she show us a Pendulum Summon now?!" His friend wonders. "I end my turn with this!" Yuzu states. "Huh? No Pendulum Summon?" A Boy disappointed. "What a letdown!" A girl disappointed. "Well, her hand is empty…" The girl's friend points out.
"Okay, okay! Don't worry! I'll show you an elegant Pendulum Summon!" Sawatari reassures the crowd. "My turn!" He declares and draws. "I'll use three Yosen counters from my Training Grounds to add Mayosenju Daibak from my Deck to my hand!" Sawatari states. "Daibak is in Sawatari's hand!" Nico covers. "Which means…!" A boy gets excited. "Pendulum! Pendulum!" His friend cheers. Pendulum! Pendulum! Pendulum!" The crowd cheers. Basking in the cheers "That's it! Scream! Cheer more! Louder and louder! Ever hotter!" Sawatari encourages them. He snaps his fingers "Let's go! My Pendulum Scale is currently set 3 to 5! So I'm able to Summon Level 4 monsters!" Sawatari explains. "He's not going to raise Shinchu R's scale?" Hokuto surprised. "He's not Summoning Daibak?" Masumi wonders. "Pendulum Summon! Come forth, wind-slicing blades! Yosenju Kama 1! (ATK: 1600) and Kama 3!" Sawatari chants (ATK: 1500). "This counts as a single Summon, so Training Grounds only lights one Yosen counter!" He explains. "First, I'll have that eyesore of an Melodious disappear!" Sawatari comments. "Kama 1's effect!" He declares. Yuzu turns and runs for an Action Card "Action Card…right there!" She exclaims. "Once, when I control another "Yosenju" monster, I can return one card from my opponent's field to the hand!" Sawatari explains as Kama 1 sends out a slice of razor wind. "Be gone, Layla!" He declares, but Yuzu snatches the Action Card "Action Spell: Invisibility!" She declares. "One of my monsters is unaffected by my opponent's effect for the rest of this turn!" Yuzu explains. Shining gold and fading, Layla dodges the razor wind, which destroys the structure behind Yuzu. Sawatari throws another tantrum "Don't disappear like that!" He yells. "You're the one who said "disappear" in the first place!" Ayu points out. "That's right!" Futoshi points out. "Hiragi somehow held on, but she's cut her escape route!" Nico explains.
"I still have other options!" Sawatari snaps. "I Tribute Kama 1 and Kama 3 to Tribute Summon Daibak!" He declares. Daibak manifests on the field (ATK: 3000). "I light one Yosen counter!" Sawatari states. "Here it is, Daibak!" Nico announces. "Instead of Pendulum Summoning…." Masumi surprised. "He Tribute Summon it?" Yaiba surprised. Yuzu was smiling "What are you smiling at?! Do you know what kind if situation you're in?" Sawatari asks Yuzu. "I do! But…The audience is excited!" Yuzu replies. "Huh?" Sawatari confused. "It's not just me…Our unpredictable show is getting the crowd hyped!" Yuzu replies. "I've found a new possibility! That's why I can't help enjoying this!" She states. "I can't help but enjoy this either! I'll be able to crush you in front of a huge crowd like this!" Sawatari replies. "Sawatari…" Yuzu said in pleased surprise as she looks at him. "I told you, I won't let you end it that easily! The show is still has more to come!" She tells him. "No, right now is the climax!" Sawatari replies. "Let's go, it's time to battle! I attack Layla with Daibak!" He declares and Daibak blasts a tornado at Layla. "I activate Layla's effect" Yuzu declares. "It can increase one monster's ATK by 600 until the end of the Battle Phase!" She explains (Layla's ATK: 2200). The tornado hits and destroyed Layla (Yuzu's LP: 1400). "The destroyed Layla is send to the Extra Deck!" Yuzu states. "Hiragi uses her monster's effect to lower the damage from her monster's destruction!" Nico narrates the twist. "Wow! This is a really intense match!" A boy states. "Yeah, this is a great fight!" A girl agrees. The crowd cheers "I feel like Yuzu's evolved again in this Duel…" Yuya observes. "Yeah, and Sawatari is doing pretty well" Gongenzaka agrees. "I end my turn" Sawatari states. "The Tribute Summoned Daibak will remain on the Field" He explains. "Daibak returns to the hand if it is Special Summoned, so to avoid that, Sawatari Tribute Summoned it…" Hokuto explains. "It looks like he's making the right strategic decisions…" Masumi comments. "On top of that, he's having quite a bit of fun…" Yaiba comments. The three of them pause "Even though he's Sawatari…" They comments while frowning. Meanwhile "Will Yuzu Hiragi use Pendulum this time!?" A boy wonders. "Pendulum! Pendulum!" The crowd cheers over and over again. "Come on, Entertainment Duellist! They're all cheering for it…The entire stadium is cheering on our Duel right now! The audience is looking forward to it!" Sawatari tells Yuzu. "Sawatari…" Yuzu whispers. It's your turn!" Sawatari reminds Yuzu. "You better answer to them!" He states. "Yeah!" Yuzu agrees.
A spotlight snaps on "Ladies and Gentlemen!" Yuzu calls out. "Yuzu!" Yuya gasps her name in surprised. "As you can see, my Field is absent of set cards, let alone monsters! The next draw will be betting this whole show on a Destiny Draw!" Yuzu explains. "If I managed to draw something, I want to hear you cheer!" She tells the audiences. The kids nod. "Draw!" Yuzu declares as she draws in an arc, turning the card to reveal it to be Sorceress Manipulation. "Got it!" She exclaims. "Right now I'll show you the most amazing Magic show you've seen in this world!" Yuzu declares. Sawatari was confused. "This card can only be activated when I have no cards on my Field and only this card in my hand!" Yuzu states. "Spell Card: Sorceress Manipulation!" She declares. "I can draw as many cards as my opponent controls, then reveal them!" Yuzu explains. "Right now, Mister Sawatari controls five cards! So I draw five cards!" She states and she draws. "The cards I drew are Cadenza, Beste, Dulcet, Lyra, and Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu reveals. The crowd gave a big cheer "She drew Mozarta" Yuya exclaims. "Go for it, Yuzu!" The kids cheer. "I, using the Scale 4 Beste the Melodious Enchantress and the Scale 9 Dulcet the Melodious Sorceress, set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu declares. As the Pendulum Monsters materialize in their Pendulum Zones "Here it comes! Hiragi's original Pendulum Summon!" Nico declares. "Just what kind of show will she show us!?" He wonders. "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 5 to 8!" Yuzu explains. "Swing, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the aether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters!" She chants. "First off is Layla the Melodious Virtuoso! (ATK: 1600) As well as the angelical and radiant voice, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares (ATK: 2600). "Both of the players' ace monsters are out and facing off!" Nico declares. "Now it's time to end this!" Sawatari declares. "Yeah!" Yuzu agrees. "Time to battle! I attack Daibak with Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares. As Mozarta flies its way down the path "You don't have enough ATK!" Sawatari laughs. "I activate Layla's effect!" Yuzu response. "It can increase one monster's ATK by 600 until the end of the Battle Phase!" She explains (Mozarta's ATK: 3200). Mozarta deals a physical blow to Daibak "Mozarta's effect!" Yuzu declares. "If Mozarta battles a Level 5 or higher monster, battle damage is doubled!" She explains. "Shinchu L's effect!" Sawatari declares. "When a "Yosenju" monster would be destroyed, I can destroy this card instead!" He explains. Shinchu L explodes into dust as the backlash washes over Sawatari (Sawatari's LP: 1000). "Woah! Sawatari has managed to prevent the destruction of his ace monster!" Nico narrates. "Man, this is getting really excited!" A boy exclaim. "Me too, I don't care who wins now!" He friend states. "I wish both of them could win!" A girl states. "Yeah! Go for it, you two!" A boy cheers. "This is fun, isn't it?" Sawatari comments. "Yeah!" Yuzu agrees. "But the fun has just begun!" She claims.
"I activate Beste the Melodious Enchantress' Pendulum effect!" Yuzu declares. "Once per turn, during the Battle Phase, I can use monsters on my Field as materials to perform a Fusion Summon!" She explains. "Wh-what?!" Sawatari gasps in shock. In the stands "A Fusion Summon!?" Ootomo shock. "During the Battle Phase!?" Yamabe shock. "Is that even possible!?" Kakimoto asks. Beste blasts a barrage of musical symbols from her staff at the two monsters on the field "Chest-pounding voice of the sea! Become one with the artiste of mystery and give birth to a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth, passionate maestra with exquisite sounds! Lace the Melodious Pendulum Fanua!" Yuzu chants (ATK: 3000). A readout out with the words "Pendulum Fusion" appears in the Leo Corporation control room "A Fusion Summon with a Pendulum Monster!?" Nakajima shocked. "Oh? You've already evolved this far, Yuzu Hiragi…." Reiji pleasantly surprised. "It's a clash of high-level monsters, both with 3000 ATK!" Nico declares. Perched atop the head of Lace "Battle! Lace the Melodious Pendulum Warrior, attack Daibak!" Yuzu declares and Lace rampages towards the Beast. Sawatari rushes forwards, and Yuzu leaps off Lace. "Both of them are aiming for Action Cards!" Nico exclaims as both of them leaping for Action Cards hidden under roof tiles that have slid aside. Lace launches a wave of flames and Daibak blasts a tornado from its horn. Each Duelist grabs a card as the attacks hit home and both monsters vanish behind clouds of smoke. As Yuzu's friends watch, holding their breath "I activate the Action Spell: Burning Barrel!" Sawatari declares. "This card deals damage equal to half of the ATK of an opponent's monster destroyed in battle to my opponent!" He explains. The card produces a cylinder that blasts a fireball at Yuzu, who has landed on a roof. "Yuzu!" Yuya yells out.
Suddenly, the flames are caught by a tarp held by toonish hands and catapulted into the air, exploding as fireworks in the sky. "What?!" Sawatari gasps in shock. "Hiragi has turned the damaging flame into a huge firework!" Nico exclaims. "How pretty!" A girl admires. "This is truly Entertainment!" Nico exclaims. "Wow!" A boy express his admiration. "Due to the Action Card: Miracle negating Lace's destruction, your card's effect was negated!" Yuzu explains. "You…! That was too flashy" Sawatari curse Yuzu as Lace emerges from the smoke. "And now, Lace the Melodious Pendulum Warrior's effect activates!" Yuzu declares. "When it destroyed an opponent's monster in battle, it can inflict damage equal to the ATK of its Aqua-type Fusion Material!" She explains. "Layla's ATK is 1600!" Yuzu states. Lace blasts an energy surge at Sawatari and knocks him flat on his back (Sawatari's LP: 0). "And that's it! The winner of the second match is Yuzu Hiragi!" Nico declares. We…did it!" Gongenzaka, Yuya and Sora cheers. Sawatari sits up with a grunt, and Yuzu offers him her hand with a smile. Sawatari refuse Yuzu's hand and gets up himself "Sawatari…" Yuzu said. But to Sawatari's surprised he hears the crowd cheering and clapping the both of them. "They're really excited!" Yuzu laughs and she waves to them while Sawatari bows. "I'll face you again anytime" Sawatari graciously tells Yuzu. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to it!" Yuzu agrees. As Sawatari waves to the crowd "That's right, this may be the kind of Dueling I'm aiming for" Yuzu muses. "Uncle, have I gotten closer to you?" She wonders as she see Yusho's image in the sky.
In the Leo Corporation observation room, Reiji looks at a screen displaying Yosenju Shinchu L, Mayosenju Daibak, and Yosenju Shinchu R. "Retrieve Sawatari's Pendulum Cards. Analyze them and have them mass produced immediately" Reiji orders. "Understood" Nakajima moves to comply, and Reiji looks at the screen with a determined expression.
