The Merged Demonic-Beast VS The Evolving Falcon
"After everyone was filled with shivers from Yuzu's Duel, Sora's match began!" Fudoshi recaps. "His opponent is that Shun Kurosaki guy from LDS. "But if he's the culprit behind the serial attacks on LDS, why is he with them now?" Yuzu wonders. "Battle!" Kurosaki declares. "Raidraptor - Rise Falcon! Rend and tear all our enemies! Brave Claw Revolution!" He orders. It dive-bombs Sora's monsters and violently beheads them. Sora grimaces, wiping his cheek "Now you've done something pretty interesting!" He comments. "Well then I guess I have to…" Sora said as he leaps to his feet. "Go all out for a bit against you" Sora states, and he pulls a psychotic grin.
"Sora Shiunin's monsters just got completely wiped out by Kurosaki's attack!" Nico explains. (Sora's LP: 3400) (Kurosaki's LP: 3100). "How will he mount his counter-attack?!" He wonders. "My turn, draw!" Sora declares. "I summon Edge Imp Saw!" He said (ATK: 500). "When this card is Summoned I get to draw two cards by sending one "Fluffal" monster to the Graveyard!" Sora explains. Discarding the Fluffal Sheep that he returned to his hand, he draws Edge Imp Chain and Fusion Conscription. "I activate the Spell Card: Fusion Conscription from my hand!" Sora declares. "I can call a Fusion Material monster from my Deck to my hand" He explains. He adds Fluffal Leo to his hand and smirks "All right, now all of the preparations are complete" Sora thinks. Turning to the crowd "Your attention please!" Sora calls out. "Make sure the spotlight is only on me!" He asked. As the spotlights snap on "The fun has just begun!" Sora calls out. "Woah! There's another one of Yuzu's famous catchphrases!" Nico states. "Jeez, that guy..." Yuzu sighs in exasperation again. "He really does like you" Yoko comments again. "I activate the Continuous Spell: Frightfur Factory from my hand!" Sora declares. "I can banish one "Fusion" card in my Graveyard to Fusion a Frightful Fusion Monster!" He explains. "I'm going to fuse Edge Imp Saw and the Fluffal Leo in my hand!" Sora declares. As Fluffal Leo hops onto the field (ATK: 1600), "It's Mr .Lion!" a girls cries out. "Cute!" a boy said. "Steel blades possessed by demons! Become one with the fanged beast and reveal to us your new form! Fusion Summon! Come forth, king of beast that shreds all! Frightfur Leo!" Sora chants. The terrifying "Frightfur's" blades rip their way out of "Leo's" skin, and it laughs madly as it appears (ATK: 2400). The kids in the crowd are scared by the monstrous "Frightfur" and they immediately start crying. "I'm scared!" a boy cries. Kurosaki looks around Neo Heartland City and immediately turns and flees. "Oh! The tides have turned on Kurosaki!" Nico comments. Sora laughs "What's this? Are you scared?" He asked Kurosaki. Kurosaki leaps into the air to grab one of Raidraptor - Rise Falcon's talons and the Winged Beast swoops into the air with a screech. "You can't escape…" Sora muses. "I activate Frightfur Leo's monster effect!" He declares. "Once per turn, it can destroy an opponent's monster and deal damage equal to its ATK to my opponent!" He explains. Leo blasts the six blades that make up most of its mane into the air, glowing with energy, and they swarm after Kurosaki and Rise Falcon, who dodge through the buildings, flying around a particularly tall tower.
Spotting something shining, Kurosaki leaps from his monster and snatches up the Action Card. "I activate the Action Spell: Mirror Barrier!" Kurosaki declares. "It negates an effect that would destroy a card!" He explains. Rise Falcon" swoops under Kurosaki to catch him, and a Sphere Field forms around them, blocking the blades. Sora gasps, and mirrored slabs seal Frightfur Leo into a makeshift cage, where it shrieks angrily. "Dang it, he even knows how to use Action Cards…" Fudoshi cursed. "He wasn't just running away!" Ayu gasp. In the Leo Corporation control room "Just before, he used that Raidraptor – Return and now Mirror Barrier…It seems that man is well-versed in the use of Spell and Trap Cards" Nakajima observed. "Those are skills that must have been polished in actual combat...When he fought for the Resistance" Reiji explains. "Break it down! Leo!" Sora orders and the Frightfur gleefully rips the slabs apart with its claws and blades. "Umm...even if it is Solid Vision, destroying it for no reason is a little..." Nico protest. "Oh, sorry! Cats just don't like being out of the spotlight!" Sora mockingly apologizes, explaining. "Cat what?" Nico surprised by the statement as Leo bursts out of its cage and looks up at Rise Falcon. "But thanks to that, I found one...An opponent I should destroy!" Sora thinks. Kurosaki grits his teeth "You did well trying to protect it with Actions Cards, but too bad! You can't run away from the king of beasts that shreds all! You'll take some huge damage when your 100 ATK monster gets taken out by a 2400 ATK Lion, won't you?" Sora comments.
"Time to battle! Frightfur Leo, attack Rise Falcon!" Sora orders. Leo leaps into the air with its claws ready to slice into Rise Falcon "Trap Activate! Adversity!" Kurosaki declares. "When a monster I control is attacked by a monster with higher ATK: I take no damage and my monster is not destroyed..." Kurosaki explains as the attack knocks Rise Falcon backwards "...And it's ATK increased by 1000!" Kurosaki adds as he clings for dear life (Rise Falcon's ATK: 1100). "What?!" Sora gasped in shock. "And there's another Trap! This time, he fended off Leo's attack and boosted his own monster's ATK with a previously Set card!" Nico explains to the crowd. "Impressive! He'll be useful, won't he?" Nakajima comments. Damn it! I'll definitely get you next time!" Sora cursed and vows as he angrily stamps his feet as he throws a tantrum. "I end my turn here!" He sulking said. "Sora's usually laid back..." Yuzu shocked. "I've never seen him look that annoyed..." Yuya claims. "Don't sweat it, Sora!" Shuzo reassures him. "Keep your heart burning, but your head cool! Have fire only in your heart!" He tells Sora. "Don't worry I'm fine! I'm not really letting it bother me! I'm just having fun!" Sora reassures Shuzo. But as soon as he turns away, he loses his smile and gets a determined look on his face.
"My turn!" Kurosaki declares and draws. "I activate Rise Falcon's monster effect!" He declares. "By using one Overlay Unit, it gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all of my opponent's Special Summoned monsters until the End Phase!" Kurosaki explains. The Overlay Unit explodes in front of Leo, causing it to exude purple energy that Rise Falcon absorbs (Rise Falcon's ATK: 3500). "Battle! I attack Leo with Rise Falcon!" Kurosaki declares. Rise Falcon blasts a sonic screech at Leo "Not happening!" Sora snaps leaping and snagging an Action Card from a tree branch "Action Spell: Evasions!"Sora declares. "Pointless" Kurosaki replies. "Counter-Trap: Raptor's Storm activate!" He declares. "If I control a "Raidraptor" monster: It negates the activation on an opponent's Spell or Trap card!" Kurosaki explains. Sora gasps in shock and then the attack hits, destroying Leo. Sora screams as the attack blasts him backwards (Sora' LP: 2300). "Sora!" Yuzu and Yuya gasp. "I set two cards and end my turn!" Kurosaki declares. "At this time, Rise Falcon's effect ends and its ATK returns to normal" He states (Rise Falcon's ATK: 1100). "Are you okay, Sora?" Yuzu asked, but Sora ignores her "You really...are pissing me off, you know that? How many times have you destroyed my monsters now?!" He snarls. "No more Mr. Nice Guy!" Sora tells Kurosaki, taking out another lollipop. "This time, I'm really going all out!" He claims, and he puts the candy in his mouth.
"My turn!" Sora declares and draws. "I activate the Spell Card: Suture Rebirth!" He declares. "I Special Summon Fluffal Sheep from my Graveyard!" Sora states (DEF: 800). "Next, I activate Continuous Spell: Frightfur Factory's effect!" He declares. "By banishing one "Fusion" card in my Graveyard, I can Fusion Summon a Frightful Fusion Monster!" He explains as he banishes Fusion Conscription from his Graveyard. "I'm going to fuse is my Fluffal Sheep on my Field and Edge Imp Chain in my hand!" Sora declares. "Fusion Summon! Come forth, beast of chains that binds all! Frightfur Sheep!" He chants (ATK: 2000). "When this monster attacks, my opponent can't activate Spell or Trap cards!" Sora explains. "Now that little specialty of you has been sealed!" He comments. "But I wonder if that will actually work..." Reiji wonders to himself. "Battle! Go, Sheep! Attack Rise Falcon!" Sora declares. Sheep blasts a laser beam into the air, and Rise Falcon dodges, but it can't escape, finally skimming past the ground and climbing into the sky to be destroyed. "He did it!" Ayu cheers. "He really has no outs if his Spell and Trap cards are sealed!" Tatsuya comments. "As expected of Sora! Shivers!" Fudoshi points out. Kurosaki meanwhile, plummets head first (Kurosaki's LP: 2200). He rights himself and kicks off building to slow himself down, then rolls across the ground to lower his momentum. Getting up and dusting off his collar "And with that, your monster's attack is done. So that effect has ended as well" Kurosaki comments. "What was that?!" Sora asked as he gasped in shock.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell: Rank-Up-Magic Raptor's Force!" Kurosaki declares. "I Special Summon the destroyed Rise Falcon and make it Rank Up to a "Raidraptor" monster that is 1 Rank higher!" He explains. "What did you say!?" Sora painc, asked. "What?!" the children gasped. Yuya and Yuzu were speechless. "Rise Falcon's" energy form disappears into the roiling clouds "Ferocious falcon, break through this fierce battle and spread you wings! Destroy our gathering foes! Rank Up! Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 5! Raidraptor - Blaze Falcon!" Kurosaki chants (ATK: 1000). The Xyz Monster spreads its wings and screeches as Sora looks at the monster in shock.
"Wh-wh-what?! His supposedly destroyed Xyz monster was reborn with its Rank increased!" Nico asked. "Rank Up?!" Reiji shocked. "I never learned that kind of Xyz Summon at school!" Hokuto comments. "He's on a different level from you!" Masumi comments. "No, he's on a different rank!" Yaiba corrects her. Sora was still silent out of shock, but, then smiles and begins to laugh "Nice! Very nice! You're quite the entertainer yourself, aren't you? Let me thank you for making this so exciting!" Sora compliment Kurosaki. "The audience is loving it!" He states. Kurosaki just glares at Sora "I'm so excited and having so much fun, I can't contain myself!" Sora continues. "I end my turn here!" he states. "Now then, why don't you let me enjoy this even more!" Sora asked Kurosaki. "Enjoy?" Kurosaki asked. "What you will experience now is the agony of death and defeat!" He states. "My turn!" Kurosaki declares and draws. "I activate Blaze Falcon's monster effect!" He declares. "By using one Overlay Unit, it destroys all Special Summoned monsters my opponent controls, and deals 500 damage per monster destroyed this way!" Kurosaki explains. Blaze Falcon" disgorges several attachments from its wings that blast green laser beams at Sora's monster "Wh-What a ruthless card effect!" Nico excitedly describes it. "Trap card, Open! Frightfur Defender!" Sora declares. "It negates the destruction of a Frighfur monster and increases its ATK by 800!" He explains. The disks attached to Sheep spark and shield forms around Sheep (Frightfur Sheep's ATK: 2800) and Kurosaki grits his teeth as the deflected laser beams explode around him. "And Shiunin manages to hold off that attack with a Trap Card, and on top of that, increases his monster's ATK!" Nico narrates. "Alright! Nice reaction, Sora!" Gongenzaka congratulates him. "But the city is…" Ayu gasped. The kids in the crowd, including the You Show Trio, are scared at the progressing destruction of Heartland City, which was in flames. "Blaze Falcon can attack my opponent directly! Go!" Kurosaki continues. "Kurosaki continues his attack! Shiuin is in a pinch!" Nico exclaims as Sora flees, but is unable to avoid the attack, with knocks him into a building (Sora's LP: 1300). The impact leaves a large crater in the building and it cracks in half and begins to fall. "The building's collapsing! Look out!" Nico warns Sora. "Sora!" Yuzu yells out, and Sora looks up in shock to see the building plummeting towards him.
Leaping into the air, Sora quickly vaults from pieces of debris even as they fall to get out of the fall zone "Wow!" Yoko impressive. "What's with that movement!?" Shuzo shocked. Sora lands with a sneer on his face as the building crashes to the ground behind him, while Yuzu and Yuya watch in shock. "When Blaze Falcon deals damage from a direct attack, it can destroy one of my opponent's monsters!" Kurosaki explains. Panels open on Blaze Falcon and it blasts several gas-powered missiles at Frightfur Sheep. "Like I'll let you!" Sora snaps, and snatches up a nearby Action Card. "I activate Action Spell: Mirror Barrier!" Sora declares. "It negates an effect that would destroy a card!" He explains. Another Sphere Field forms around Sheep, and the missiles crash into it. "This time, he defended with Action Spell! With the same Mirror Barrier Kurosaki used just before!" Nico explains to the crowd. "Trap card, Open! Raptor's Gust!" Kurosaki declares. "If I control a "Raidraptor" monster, it negates the activation of an opponent's Spell Card and destroys it!" He explains. The Sphere Field shatters and the still bombarding missiles hit, destroying Sheep. "And we have another turnover!" Nico calls it. "All right! He finally ended that sheep bastard!" Yaiba cheers. "He already had a Trap Card set up…this is Kurosaki's Duelling!" Hokuto expresses his admiration. "If they get you, get them back! This clashing and exchange of blows has gotten me so excited!" Nico comments. But Yuzu wasn't excited at all "This is almost like…a battlefield, isn't it?" She realizes.
Down below, Kurosaki looks at the final card in his hand "I set one card and end my turn!" He states. "Where'd that grin of yours go?" Kurosaki asked Sora. Sora was surprised, and clenches his fist angrily. "Now do you understand a bit of what it feels like to be hunted?"Kurosaki asked Sora. "You bastards would always laugh while you continued to attack my comrades! But we are no longer submissive for your hunt!" He states. "Sora's people attacked him…? What does he mean?" Yuzu shocked, asking herself.
"Aren't you getting carried away?" Sora asked as he smiles ferally. "Don't even joke about it! I can win a Duel like this while licking some candy!" He tells him. He holds up a large lollipop and bites it in half, chewing loudly and swallowing "It's just a game! There's no way I need to get serious! That's the same with my friends as well! We all hunted you just for fun! Because all of you are just prey for our hunting games!" Sora claims. "Prey? Game?" Yuzu repeats. "What is he saying?!" She asked, while the kids watch in shock.
"My turn!" Sora declares and draws with a crazed look on his face. "I activate the Spell Card: Frightfur Fusion!" He declares. "I banish the Frightfur Bear, Frightfur Leo, and Frightfur Sheep in my Graveyard, and Fusion Summon a Frightfur Fusion Monster using them as Fusion Materials!" Sora explains. "Unusual plaything possessed by demons! Destroy and root out the plebeians who dare rebel against you! Fusion Summon! Come forth! A chimeric fusion of all playthings! Frightfur Chimera!" He chants (ATK: 2800). As the horrifying monster towers over the city, the crowd cower from it in fear, while Kurosaki watches impassively. "Battle! Chimera, attack Blaze Falcon!" Sora declares. Chimera launches a rocket from its bear head and Blaze Falcon and Kurosaki flee as the rocket strikes, destroying Blaze Falcon Kurosaki dives and rolls away from the impact as the ground explodes behind him.(Kurosaki's LP: 400). "I activate Chimera's effect!" Sora declares. "If it destroys a monster in battle, I can Special Summon that monster to my Field!" He explains. Blaze Falcon is revived on Sora's side of the field (ATK: 1000). "Chimera's ATK increase by 300 for each monster I gain control of this way!" Sora continues (Frightfur Chimera's ATK: 3100). "Now your monster has become mine!" He states. "Do you understand now?" Sora asked Kurosaki. "You can never hurt me! The ones being hunted are always you! Now and forever more!" He exclaims. "What has he been talking about this whole time?!" Yuzu asked in shock. "Sora..." Yuya whispers. "I'll at least give you the honour of dying by your own monster's hand! With a direct attack from Blaze Falcon's 1000 ATK, you and your last 400 LP will..." Sora comments.
"Ridiculous" Kurosaki claims. "What?!" Sora asked. "We of the Resistance always fight prepared for the worst-case scenario! All while considering the possibility that our comrades might be captured by the enemy..." Kurosaki explains, Yuya gave a pause. Outside LDS, Ruri walks by, fully unmasked and she turns to see Kurosaki speaking on the big screen "But even if they may be taken away...We will never abandon them!" Kurosaki explains. "We will always take back our comrades!" He vows. The fierce expression of hatred in his eyes gives both Sora and Yuzu pause "What's with those eyes?!" Yuzu wonders in shock. In the observation room, Reiji leans over and grips Reira's shoulders. "Quick-Play Spell: Rank-Up-Magic Revolution Force!" Kurosaki declares. "I take control of an Xyz monster on my opponent's Field (Frightfur Chimera's ATK: 2800), and make it Rank Up to a "Raidraptor" monster that is 1 Rank higher!" Kurosaki explains as he takes back Blaze Falcon, and then is enveloped in flames. "What?!" Sora screams in shock. "Prideful falcon, spread your wings dyed in the blood of heroes! Advance through the path of revolution! Rank Up! Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 6! Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon!" Kurosaki chants (ATK: 2000). "Wh-what is this!? Kurosaki's Xyz Monster has Ranked Up even further!" Nico excitedly asks. "Watch closely, Reira. For the sake of our future..."Reiji tells him. Sora begins to laugh "What? You start talking about revolutions and nonsense, but it's just 2000 ATK?! "He comments. "You can't defeat my 2800 ATK Frightfur Chimera with that!" Sora laughs. "Oh, is that so?" Kurosaki asked. Sora filches "That's just a bluff, isn't it?! Because you don't have any Set cards on your Field at all!" He claims as he looks around nervously."Stop it! Don't provoke him! He's dangerous! He really will-!" Yuzu yells at Sora.
"Revolution Falcon's monster effect activate!" Kurosaki declares. "When this card is Xyz Summoned by Ranking up a "Raidraptor" monster: I can destroyed one Special Summoned monster my opponent controls...and deal damage equal to half its ATK to my opponent! He explains. "What?!" Sora gasped on horror again. "Go! Revolution Falcon!" Kurosaki orders and Revolution Falcon glides high into the air, opening its bay doors."Burn and scatter in the flames of revolution!" Kurosaki tells Sora as bombs fall from the Winged Beast. The bombs strike and the explosions lay waste to Neo Heartland City. "Stop it!" Yuzu screams. "This isn't Duelling! The Duelling I believe in is supposed to make everyone happy..." She protest. But her words go unheeded as Frightfur Chimera was surrounded by flames. Sora flees through the city, and spots an Action Card, diving for it. He prepares to activate it with a sneer, but is distracted by a falling building, and freezes in shock, simply kneeling there as the building crashes to the ground. Yuya gasp "Sora!" Yuzu screams.
The Action Field dissolves, leaving Sora battered and bruised (Sora's LP: 0). Nico emerges from under his desk in fear, and sees the result "Th-The winner is Kurosaki!" he announces, but the crowd just sit there in stunned silence. Kurosaki walks up to Sora and prepares to activate a function on his Duel Disk "That's enough. I forbid you from taking any further action in the eyes of the general public" Reiji warns Kurosaki over the Duel Disk. "He will be a useful experiment material for us. Experiments to understand Academia!" He explains. Kurosaki turns and begins to leave silently "Wait...This match isn't over!" Sora tells Kurosaki as he struggles up. Kurosaki looks at Sora over his shoulder "There's no way I can lose to you! To you Xyz scum, I could never...!" Sora protest. Kurosaki ignores Sora's blathering and leaves. "Wait! Don't run away!" Sora screams. "Again...Duel me...again!" He begs, but finally passes out from the shock of his injuries. Yuzu and Yuya runs down to the arena "Sora! Sora! Sora!" Yuzu yells outs, but the security personnel hold them back, even as Kurosaki walks away.
