Hi everyone Rosestar48 here! Today we will have a Duel against Ruri and Sora.
The Academia and The Resistance
"Sora and Kurosaki's battle turned the Solid Vision Heartland into a battlefield" Yuzu reaps "Stop it!" Yuzu screams. "This isn't Dueling! The Dueling I believe in is supposed to make everyone happy..." She protests. But her words go unheeded as Frightfur Chimera was surrounded by flames. Sora prepares to activate an Action Card with a sneer, but is distracted by a falling building, and freezes in shock, simply kneeling there as the building crashes to the ground. Yuya gasp "Sora!" Yuzu screams. The Action Field dissolves, leaving Sora battered and bruised (Sora's LP: 0). "Th-the winner is Kurosaki!" Nico announces. Kurosaki looks at Sora over his shoulder and leaves. "Wait! Don't run away!" Sora screams. "Again...Duel me...again!" He begs, but finally passes out from the shock of his injuries. Yuzu and Yuya runs down to the arena "Sora! Sora! Sora!" Yuzu yells outs, but the security personnel hold them back, even as Kurosaki walks away.
Sora lies in a bed at Leo Duel School, and his friends watch from outside the room. "Sora…" Yuya murmurs. "He'll be fine. I'm told that LDS has very skilled medical team" Shuzo reassure Yuya. "But if the building hit his head before the Field Spell turned off…" Ayu points out. Yuzu clenches her fist "Shun…Kurosaki…" She thinks in anger. Meanwhile "Sora Shiunin is currently receiving treatment in the Center Court's care ward. There are superficial injuries on his legs and head, but his life is not in danger" Nakajima explains to Reiji. "I see. Then call for our emergency care team and have him brought to Leo Corporation's facilities immediately" Reiji orders Nakajima. "I have many things I wish to ask him" He states. "Yes sir" Nakajima replies. "Get me the Duel Disk he used as well" Reiji orders. "Understood" Nakajima replies and bow, leaves the room.
Later at night "Yoko and I will be walking the kids home" Shuzo tells Yuzu, Yuya and Gongenzaka. "Take care of Sora for us" He asks them. Once the adults and the kids were out of earshot "What do you think?" Yuzu asks Yuya. "Huh?" Yuya confused. "Kurosaki is the culprit for the serial attacks on LDS. I saw him take out members from their top team right in front of my very own eyes" Yuzu reminds Yuya. "And you, Yuya?" She asks. "I saw Masumi get into a dangerous situation while she was chasing the culprit, too…But Masumi…" Yuya reiterates.
(Flashback)
"What are you talking about?" Masumi asks. "He's always been one of us" She claims.
(Flashback ends)
"The one she had been chasing was one of them?!" Gongenzaka surprised, repeating the statement. "I don't know why Masumi would say something like that…But Ruri said they were attacking LDS to save one of their comrades…" Yuya states.
"Ruri…" Yuzu surprised to hear the name, and in the care ward, Ruri herself was walking through the darkened corridors.
(Flashback)
"We're after our comrades…Saving our dear comrades who have been captured by our enemy!" Yuya remembers what Ruri told her.

Yuya had finished explaining about Ruri "Then that girl called Ruri is the one who attacked Sawatari?!" Gongenzaka realizes. "Why didn't you say anything about it!?" He asks Yuya. "If you had told the truth, Yuzu would have been cleared of suspicion" Gongenzaka states. Yuya hesitates "Don't tell me you doubted Yuzu?!" Gongenzaka angrily asks. "That's not it!" Yuya denies it. "Yuzu doesn't even use Xyz…But…." He points out. Ruri continues to walk down the corridors "Ruri…A girl who looks just like me" Yuzu muses. "That's the same girl who would disappear whenever your bracelet would shine, right?" She asks Yuya. "Disappear?!" Gongenzaka exclaims. Yuya looks at his bracelet "I don't know why Ruri would vanish whenever this bracelet shone…I thought you were changing out of a costume, but you didn't have a reason to do that!" He admits. "She doesn't have a reason to attack LDS either!" Gongenzaka adds. After a brief moment of hesitation "Assaulting their enemy is a means to save their friend captured by the enemy" Yuzu asks. "Yes…Ruri said that" Yuya confirms. "Who is their enemy? Are they not LDS?" Gongenzaka asks. "That's…" Yuya begins to explain who it is. Ruri, meanwhile, enters Sora's room and stands over him. "Fusion is their enemy? Ruri said that?" Gongenzaka surprised. Yuya nods. "Kurosaki is Ruri's brother. That's why he's so hostile towards Sora…" Yuzu points out. "You guys…" Gongenzaka signs. "Did you ever ask Sora where he came from?" He asks. "No…" Yuya said. "Even if we asked him, he'd just dodge the question…" Yuzu explains. "Then they might have some kind of connection…Between Kurosaki, Ruri and Sora…" Gongenzaka states. "Connection…?" Yuzu asks. "Kurosaki and his sister are Xyz users. So Sora was a member of an opposing Fusion School or something?" Gongenzaka suggest. Yuzu then remembers Sora's demented admission
(Flashback)
"It's just a game! There's no way I need to get serious! That's the same with my friends as well! We all hunted you just for fun!" Sora claims.
(Flashback ends)
"Could it be that Kurosaki and Ruri are trying to save their comrade from Sora's group?!" Yuzu wonders. Yuya gasps. In Sora's room, Sora wakes up to see Ruri "Yuzu?" Sora mistake Ruri for Yuzu. "I have some questions for you" Ruri tells Sora. Sora's eyes snap fully open "You're…!" He recognizes Ruri. "I want to know where Yuto is" Ruri asks Sora. "Yuto?" Sora repeats the name in confusion.
Yuya has just told Gongenzaka and Yuzu about Yuto as well. "Their comrade is Kurosaki's best friend?" Gongenzaka surprised. "Yes…That's what Ruri said" Yuya confirms. "If Sora's friends really do have Kurosakai's best friend…If they really kidnapped the boy called Yuto…I can understand why they would treat Sora as their enemy, but…." Yuzu understands. "Then does that mean he joined LDS to fight against Sora?" Gongenzaka asks. "No, wait, Masumi said that he's been in LDS from the start…" He remembers. "Then why would he attack LDS in order to get his best friend back?" Gongenzaka asks. he conflicting information gets to Gongenzaka "I don't get this!" He growls in frustration. "Just what is going on?!" Gongenzaka asks. "Fusion and Xyz…I can't imagine it's just a dispute between two schools…There has to be some kind of… larger power behind it…" Yuzu muses.
"I don't know any Yuto! There's no way I would, anyways!" Sora snaps at Ruri. "Then do you at least know where the hostages are?" Ruri asks. "I don't! All I know is that your so-called prisoners of war don't exist!" Sora tells Ruri. "Don't exist?" Ruri asks. "Because people who are hunted get put into cards! So I'm sure he is, too…" Sora tells her. Ignoring the stricken look on Ruri's face "More importantly, where is he?" Sora asks. "He?" Ruri asks. "Shun Kurosaki! I have to settle the score with him!" Sora exclaims. Sora grabs his Duel Disk "That's already been settled. You lost" Ruri comments. "I didn't lose!" Sora denies. "There's no way I would lose to Xyz scum!" He claims. "Take me to him now! I'll beat him to a pulp this time! If I go all out, someone like him would be easily…" Sora tells Ruri. But his yelling has attracted the attention of two guards "Where is that shouting coming from?" A guard asks. "This way!" Another guard states and they enter the room. "Who are you?!" The Guard asks. Ruri quickly dashes between them, and both Sora and the guards turn in pursuit. "Wait!" Sora yells out. "You shouldn't be moving yet!" The Guard protest. "Move it!" Soratells them, knocking them out with two swift punches. "Did you see him?" A guard asks. No, not over here!" Another guard said. "Where could he have gone?" A third guard wonders. "I'll search this way!" A forth guard state. Yuzu, Yuya and Gongenzaka notice the disruption as guards run around the area. "What's all the fuss about?" Gongenzaka wonders. "He might already have gotten outside!" they overhear the guard deducing. "Contact headquarters immediately! Tell them that Sora Shiunin has escaped!" Another guard orders. "Yes sir!" The guards reply. The group gasps in shock. "I'll put together a search team for the entire city in pursuit of Sora Shiunin right away" Nakajima swiftly informs Reiji. "No, we're currently running a tournament" Reiji reminds Nakajima. "Don't make a scene" He orders. "But Sir-!" Nakajima said. "First, use all of the city's cameras to confirm his whereabouts. I'll head to the observation room soon as well" Reiji tells Nakajima. "Principle said he'll be here soon!" Yuya explains to Yuzu and Gongenzaka. "All right, let's all spilt up and search!" Gongenzaka suggested. "I'll head towards the ocean" He states. "Then I'll go towards Central Park" Yuzu decides. "I'll go this way then!" Yuya states.
In Central Park, Sora was caught on camera and in the observation room of the Leo Corporation, Reiji, Nakajima, Kurosaki and Reira watch him run across the screen. "Location?" A technician asks. "Central Park!"Another technician states. "Send a team over immediately and capture him!" Nakajima orders. "Wait" Reiji tells him. They watched as Sora stop, panting. "Turn the camera to where Sora Shiunin is looking" Reiji orders. The camera turn to Ruri, who was standing on a stage in the middle of the Park with her back to the camera. "That's…!" Nakajima gasps. "Hurry up and get him! Shun Kurosaki!" Sora screams at Ruri. Ruri turns around and looks at Sora, and the camera shows her face. "This is…Yuzu…Hiragi!" Nakajima gasps. "No…" Kurosaki interjects. "That is Ruri" He explains. "Ruri?" Reiji repeats the name in surprise. "She's my younger sister" Kurosaki explains.
As the cameras continue to monitor Sora "I see…I had suspected that there were two Xyz users attacking LDS, but…It was you and that Ruri girl, wasn't it?" Reiji realizes. "But that face…she looks exactly like Yuzu Hiragi" Nakajima mutters. Reiji notice Reira trembling at the sight of Ruri. "Hurry up and get Kurosaki!" Sora once again tells Ruri. "You want to fight Shun again with those injuries?" Ruri asks Sora. "Yes! This time I definitely won't lose!" Sora replies. "To someone like him…Xyz scum are all destined to be hunted by me! You,Kurosaki…and even that Yuto boy you talked about!" He claims. Yuto's name provokes a reaction among both Ruri and Kurosaki. "There's no way I would lose to Xyz users! I'll prove to you that if I fight seriously, I'm the stronger one! If you're going to hide him, I won't show you any mercy!" Sora further states. "I don't know where that boy is, but…I bet he was turned into a card. Or maybe there might actually be a way to save him…" He comments. "What?" Ruri asks. "What way would that be?" Kurosaki asks. "By destroying all of us! But that's impossible for the likes of you, though" Sora claims. Kurosaki scoffs, and turns to leave the control room. "Wait, Kurosaki!" Nakajima tells him. "Let me go!" Kurosaki snaps. "No. You'll only cause more of a scene if you go. And if this cause the Miami Championship to end…my entire plan will amount to nothing" Reiji tells Kurosaki. Kurosaki grits his teeth "Don't forget that this is a selection exam to determine which Duelists are fit to fight against Leo Akaba" Reiji reminds him. "Besides, even if you don't go…" He states.
At Central Park, Ruri activates her Duel Disk with the same flourish as Yuzu does. "Oh! Finally feeling up to it? That's more like it!" Sora laugh. "I'll take you out first before I finish Kurosaki! I'll prove that I can deal with every Xyz user in this world by myself!" He claims as he rips the plaster off his cheek and activates his own Duel Disk. "I won't let that happen. Defeating you will be the first step towards saving Yuto!" Ruri retorts. "DUEL!" Both Duelists yell. "I'm going first! My turn!" Sora declares. "I Summon Edge Imp Tomahawk from my hand!" He states (ATK: 1800). "With Edge Imp Tomahawk, once per turn I send one Edge Imp Monster to my Graveyard to deal 800 damage to my opponent!" Sora explains. He discards Edge Imp Frightfuloid and a gust of wind blasts Ruri into the wall, leaving an impact crater (Ruri's LP: 3200). "Think of that as a little greeting from me. I end my turn" Sora tells Ruri. "800 damage right out of the gates?" Nakajima shocked. "Don't worry. Ruri would never falter against this amount of damage" Kurosaki reassures him. Reiji puts his hand on Reira's shoulder Ruri get to her feet "Are you okay?" Sora asks. "Feel free to call Kurosaki out and trade spots with him!" He tells her.
Ruri glares at Sora "My turn!" She declares and draws. "I Summon Lyrilusc- Amber Finch!" She states (ATK: 800). "First off is an 800 ATK monster, huh? Now how will you advance you play, Miss. Xyz Loser?" Sora mocks. Shooting Sora another glare "When I control a Level 3 "Lyrilusc" monster, I can Special Summon Lyrilusc- Garnet Asity!" Ruri explains (ATK: 200). "I get it…Since you've got two Level 3 monsters…" Sora realizes. "I Overlay my Level 3 Lyrilusc- Amber Finch and Garnet Asity!" Ruri declares. "Sprite of the birds lost in the battlefield, revive now and become light to rend the darkness! Xyz Summon! Appear before us! Rank 3! Lyrilucs- Masque Orioles!" She chants (ATK: 2000). Sora ducks from the shock of the monster's Summon "Here it is! An Xyz monster!" Sora excited. "Battle! I attack Edge Imp Tomahawk with Masque Orioles!" Ruri declares. Masque Orioles slices Tomahawk in two, pushing Sora back (Sora's LP: 3800). "I set two cards and end my turn!" Ruri states. "Well, it wouldn't be any fun if you couldn't at least do this" Sora comments. Meanwhile "It's no good! No matter how many times I call him, he won't pick up!" Yuzu tells Yuya over their Duel Disks. "Gongenzaka said the same thing!" Yuya confirms. "Just where is he and what is he doing…?" He wonder. "Anyways, all we can do is look for him! I'll call you later!" Yuzu tells Yuya.
"Now that you've shown off your Xyz, it's time for me to go all out!" Sora comments. "My turn!" He declares and draws "Designer Frightfur", which he adds to his hand. "I activate the Spell Card: Polymerization from my hand!" He declares. Ruri and Kurosaki both flinch at the sight of the card "The cards I'm going to fuse are Fluffal Bear and Edge Imp Sabres in my hand!" Sora declares. "Claws of the demon and fangs of the beast! Become one and reveal to us your new form! Fusion Summon! Come forth, horrifying beast that shreds all! Frightfur Bear!" He chants. Frightfur Bear appears, laughing maniacally (ATK: 2200). Then Yuzu arrives "Sora!" Yuzu exclaims as she see him, she turns her head "That's…! She looks like me!" Yuzu gasps in shock when she sees Ruri. "Is that the Ruri girl Yuya was talking about?" Yuzu wonders. "Time to battle! I attack Masque Orioles with Bear!" Sora declares. Bear lands a powerful blow with its arm, destroying Masque Orioles (Ruri's LP: 3000). "At this moment, I activate Masque Orioles' effect!" Ruri declares. "When this monster leaves the Field I can Special Summon its Xyz Materials as Level 1 monsters!" She explains and Lyrilusc- Amber Finch and Garnet Asity reappeared (LV: 1x2). "Lyrilusc will never fall! No matter how many times you take them down, they will always rise up! This is how we of the Resistance fight!" Ruri explains. "Resistance?" Yuzu asks. Fusion…Enemy…!" She remembers. "Bear's effect activates!" Sora declares. "Once per turn, Bear can equip a monster it destroyed in battle!" He explains. Masque Orioles emerges from a Graveyard portal and Bear devours it, then burps, before laughing madly. "And then its ATK is added to Bears'!" Sora explains (Bear's ATK: 4200). "This means that your Xyz monsters are only going to be nutrients for Bear!" He comments. "Now, go ahead and Xyz again with those monsters you Summoned! I'll devour those as well!" Sora tells Ruri. "I set one card and end my turn!" He states.
"My turn!" Ruri declares and draws. "I Overlay the Level 1 Lyrilusc- Amber Finch and Garnet Asity!" She declares. "Birds with beautiful wings! Gather on the battlefield and take brilliant flight! Xyz Summon! Dance in the sky! Rank 1! Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale!" Ruri chants (ATK: 0). "Lyrilusc – Assembled….Nightingale!?" Yuzu surprised at the monsters name. "Assembled Nightingale's ATK is equal to her Overlay units times 100!" Ruri states (Assembled Nightingale's ATK: 200). "I activate the Spell Card: Lyrilusc- Bird Roost!" She declares. "For each "Lyrilusc" monster on the Field I get to draw one card from my deck!" Ruri explains. "Next, I activate the Equip Spell: Lyrilusc's Crown!" She declares. "Now my monster gains 400 ATK for each of her Overlay Units!" Ruri explains (Assembled Nightingale's ATK: 1000). "Next, I activate another Equip Spell: Lyrilusc's Cloak!" She declares. "For Each Card your control Assembled Nightingale's ATK increase by 500!" Ruri explains (Assembled Nightingale's ATK's 2500). "Next I activate another Equip Card: Lyrilusc's Aura!" She states. "Now the ATK of Assembled Nightingale will not decrease when she loses an Overlay Unit!" Ruri explains. "Just what are you going to do with just a monster with a measly 2500 ATK? Right now, Bear's ATK is already 4200!" Sora mocks. "I activate the Continuous Spell: Lyrilusc-Forage!" Ruri declares. "Now by using one Overlay Unit, this card can halve the ATK of an opponent's Level 5 or higher monster until the end of this turn… (Bear's ATK: 2100) and increase my monster's ATK by that amount!" She explains (Assembled Nightingale's ATK's: 4600). "This is bad…if she uses her remaining Overlay Unit, Bear's ATK will be lower to 1050…" Sora panics. "Assembled Nightingale's ATK's ATK will be at 5650!" Yuzu observes.
"Battle!" Ruri decalres. "What?!" Sora gasps in surprise as the wings of Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale emit a blue glow "I attack Frightfur Bear with Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale! Strike of the Whirlwind Violation!" Ruri declares and it attacks, talons glowing, destroying Bear. A massive gout of flame throws Sora backwards. "This isn't even a Solid Vision Field, but these shockwaves…!" Yuzu surprised. As the smoke clears Sora was on his back (Sora's LP: 1300) Yuzu gasps in shock. "I end my turn with this. At this moment, Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale's ATK returns to 2500" Ruri states (Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale's ATK: 2500).
"Sora!" Yuzu calls out as she runs over to him, entering the field of view of the cameras "That's!" Nakajima surprised as well as the other onlookers at Leo Corporation. "Yuzu Hiragi!" Reiji surprised. "Are you okay, Sora?" Yuzu asks. "Go away! This isn't any of your business!" Sora tells her. "What are you talking about talking about?! Why did you sneak out here to Duel when you should be getting rest in the hospital?!" Yuzu asks him. Sora ignores her, glaring at Ruri, who barely reacts to seeing someone who resembles her. "She'…! Holding back against me?!" Sora realizes. "Damn it! She's making fun of me!" He believes. Sora angrily gets to his feet "I'll…I'll never forgive you!" He vows, but he staggers. "That's enough! If you keep this up your body will…!" Yuzu tells Sora. "Shut up! I'm still not going all out yet! I'll prove to you that if I get serious, I'm the stronger one!" Sora tells Yuzu. "You can do that any time! Like in the next tournament!" Yuzu points out. "There isn't a next time! In a real battle, there isn't another chance!" Sora tell her. "That's right" Ruri agrees. "But even if you are my enemy, I can't bring myself to hurt you anymore. If you surrender now, I'll end this so you won't suffer" She said. "What are you planning on doing!? What are you going to do to Sora!?" Yuzu asks Ruri. Ruri didn't reply. "Answer me!" Yuzu orders Ruri. "That Kurosaki guy tried to do something to Sora too!" She remembers.
(Flashback)
Kurosaki walks up to Sora and prepares to activate a function on his Duel Disk

"You said I have to destroy Fusion If I want to save Yuto, right?" Ruri asks Sora. "Yuto?" Yuzu asks. Ruri closed her eyes "A large building can be brought down by a single anthill. I'll have you become the first crack that we drill into the wall of Fusion!" Ruri states. Yuzu looks at Ruri, and she also see Kurosaki. Stepping forward "Stop it! I won't let you harm my friends anymore!" Yuzu tells Ruri. Ruri flinches in surprise, and Yuzu straps on her Duel Disk "If you want to do this, then I'll take you on!" She said.

For each "Lyrilusc" monster you control, you get to draw one card from your Deck
Lyrilusc's Crown (Equip Spell)
The Card can only be equipped to a "Lyrilusc" Xyz monster. The Equipped monster gains 400 ATK for each their Overlay Units.
Lyrilusc's Cloak (Equip Spell)
The Card can only be equipped to a "Lyrilusc" monster. For each card your opponent controls, the equipped monster gains 500 ATK (This stay's in effect even when cards leave your opponent's Field)
Lyrilusc's Aura (Equip Spell)
Can be only equipped to Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale. When Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale lost it Overlay Unit, it ATK remains the same.
Lyrilusc-Forage (Continuous Spell)
This can only be activate if you control an "Lyrilusc" Xyz monster. By sending an Overlay Unit from one of your Xyz, you can half the ATK one of your opponent's level 5 or higher monster and give that same amount to one of your Xyz monster until the end of the turn. If there is no "Lyrilusc" Xyz monster on your Field this card is destroy.
