"Sora was hospitalized after being exhausted from his Duel with Shun Kurosaki. And as we were waiting for him to recover…" Yuzu recaps. In Sora's room, Sora wakes up to see Ruri "Yuzu…?" Sora mistake Ruri for Yuzu. "I have some questions for you" Ruri tells Sora. Sora's eyes snap fully open "You're…!" He recognizes Ruri. "Contact headquarters immediately! Tell them that Sora Shiunin has escaped!" An guard orders. "Yes sir!" The guards reply. Yuzu, Yuya and Gongenzaka gasps in shock at what they overheard. "Fusion Summon!" Sora chants. Frightfur Bear appears, laughing maniacally (ATK: 2200). "Sora…" Yuzu whispers, she turns her head "That's… She looks like me!" Yuzu gasps in shock when she sees Ruri. Is that the Ruri girl Yuya was talking about?" Yuzu wonders. "Swift Strike!" Ruri declares and Assembled Nightingale attacks, talons glowing, destroying Bear. A massive gout of flame throws Sora backwards. "Sora!" Yuzu calls out as she runs over to him. "Are you okay, Sora?" She asks him. "Go away! This isn't any of your business!" Sora tells her. "What are you talking about talking about?! You should be getting rest in the hospital! Why did you sneak out here to Duel?" Yuzu asks him. Sora ignores her, glaring at Ruri, who barely reacts to seeing someone who resembles her.
"You said I have to destroy Fusion If I want to save Yuto, right?" Ruri comments. "Yuto?" Yuzu angrily asks. When she gets no responds "A larger building can be brought down by a single anthill. I'll have you become the first crack that we drill into the wall of Fusion!" Ruri declares to Sora. Sora grits his teeth. In the Leo Corporation observation room "Sora Shiunin is a valuable person who holds important information about Academia! If we let this continue…" Nakajima protest. "Stop it!" Yuzu's voice suddenly yells at Ruri. They look up to see Yuzu glaring at Ruri. "I won't let you harm my friends anymore!" She tells her doppelganger. "If you want to do this, then I'll take you on!" Yuzu yells as she activates her Duel Disk. Her Duel Disk reads, "Battle Royal Mode: Joining" as Yuzu runs forward and enters the Duel. "My turn!" Yuzu declares as she draws a card and she skids to a halt, looking at the Arial the Melodious Sorceress that she drew. "I, using the Scale 1 Arial the Melodious Sorceress and the Scale 9 Dulcet the Melodious Sorceress, set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu declares. "With this I'm able to summon Level 2 to 8 monsters simultaneously!" She states. "Swing, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth with your angelical and radiant voice, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu chants. Mozarta appears and Hymns dramatically behind Yuzu (ATK: 2600) (Assembled Nightingale's ATK: 4000)
And then a feeling strikes Yuzu, and she gasps, hunching over "What is… this?! My body feels hot…!" Yuzu wonders. Ruri appears to be experiencing the same feeling, holding her own hand over her chest. Mozarta and Assembled Nightingale hums and then they hymn at one another while emitting an aura, Mozarta red and Assembled Nightingale blue. In the observation room "It's as if the two artistes are calling out to each other…" Nakajima observes. "Next I activate the Spell Card: Music Freeze!" Yuzu declares. "One monster one the Field loses 500 ATK for each "Melodious" card I have on the Field" She explains. (Assembled Nightingale's ATK: 2500). "Next I activate the Continuous Spell: Mesmerizing Melody!" Yuzu declares. "Now when a "Melodious" monster attacks a monster, by lower i's ATK by 100, your monster can't activate its effect!" She explains. "Battle! I attack Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale with Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares (Mozarta's ATK: 2500). "Both of the artistes have 2500 ATK…"Nakajima notes. "Is she trying to crash!?" He wonders. "No, Mozarta is a Pendulum Monster…Even if it gets destroyed, it returns to the Extra Deck" Reiji reminds him. "Yuzu Hiragi isn't just being reckless…" He points out.
Mozarta leaps into the air and spins, while Assembled Nightingale, wings flaring blue, blocks the kick strike with its right wing. The artistes clash heads viciously, then Mozarta backflips to deliver another powerful kick strike. Assembled Nightingale dodges and Mozarta pursues it. "I activate a Continuous Trap! Lyrilusc's Mist Blade!" Ruri declares. "This card negates your attack!" She explains. The blade emerges from a jet of mist and separates the artistes with a slash. "And as long as I control this card, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra cannot attack!" Ruri states as both artistes retreat behind their masters. "A trap that negates attacks?! If she had that card Set, she would have stopped my Bear's attack!" Sora realizes. "So she took that attack in order to perform another Xyz Summon…" Reiji notes, while Kurosaki reacts with subtle pride in the background. Sora runs forwards "You baited out my attack just so could Xyz Summon again!" He accuses Ruri. "And in your attack earlier, you didn't use one of your Overlay Units!" Sora reminds her. "How…How much more are you going to make a fool of me!?" He angrily asks. "I will never forgive you! Never!" Sora vows.
After a brief pause, Ruri ignores Sora and locks eyes with Yuzu. "I activate Dulcet the Melodious Sorceress' Pendulum effect!" Yuzu declares. "Once per turn, it can negate the activation of a Trap Card that targets a Pendulum Monster!" She explains. "Reverse Melody!" Yuzu declares and time seems to re-wind, re-Setting Lyrilusc's Mist Blade. "Alright!" Yuzu cheers, but before Mozarta can resume its attack "Trap Activate! Booby Trap E!" Ruri declares. "This card copies the effect of a Set Trap I control!" She explains. An image of Lyrilusc's Mist Blade appears over Booby Trap E and replaces it. "Then that means the Trap that Dulcet negated…" Yuzu realizes. "That's right, since it has the same effect as Lyrilusc's Mist Blade…your attack will be negated. And as long as I control this card, your artiste cannot attack!" Ruri confirms. Frustrated "I end my turn here" Yuzu states (Assembled Nightingale's ATK: 4000).
Sora angrily runs over "If you can't do anything, then get lost!" He tells Yuzu, pushing her. "Sora!" Yuzu exclaims. "She's my prey! Don't interfere, Yuzu!" Sora tells her. Hearing Sora blatantly stating his intent "Your prey?! What the heck is that?! What does that even mean!?" Yuzu sharply asks Sora. "Answer me, Sora!" She demands him. "You said the same thing during your Duel with Kurosaki! You said they were just prey for your hunting games!" Yuzu points out. "Yuya told me…Your friends took Kurosaki's best friend! It seems like they're the ones who kidnapped Yuto!" She tells Sora. Kurosaki reacts with surprise, and Ruri reacts as well. "Yuya said that…!?" Sora angrily asks. "He said he heard that from Ruri…" Yuzu states. "Is that really true!? Answer me! You're Ruri, aren't you!?" Yuzu asks Ruri. "That's right" Ruri replies. "Tell me then! What happened?! Why do you two hate each other so much!?" Yuzu asks. But Ruri didn't reply "Why aren't you saying anything!? Answer me!" Yuzu asks. "There's no way they could!" Sora snickers. As he takes out a lollipop "If they do, they'd have to show their weak side!" Sora mocks. "What?!" Yuzu asks in as Sora viciously bites down on the lollipop, chews and swallows "She's just a remnant of those losers" Sora comments. He drops the lollipop and crushes it underfoot "They're just runaways from the Xyz Dimension that my allies took over!" Sora calls Ruri and Kurosaki. "Xyz Dimension!?" Yuzu gasps.
"Shut up!" Ruri yells at Sora. "We have not been taken over! And Shun and I didn't run away! We came to this world to oppose the Fusion Dimension!" She claims. "Fusion Dimension!? Xyz Dimension…Fusion Dimension?! What the heck is that?!" Yuzu asks. "It means she and that Kurosaki guy aren't from this world! They came from another world, the Xyz Dimension!" Sora accuse Ruri. "Another world?!" Yuzu shocked. "My allies fought gallantly and won against the Xyz Dimension! If I lose, I'd be smearing mud on their honor! And more than that, I cannot forgive myself! I was the top of the elite class in Academia and was even given this special mission…" Sora states.
(Flashback)
Sora remembers saluting before a man in a red cape.

"To think I'd lose to Xyz scum! There's no way that would happen!" Sora bemoans.
"My turn!" He declares and draws. "Stop it! if you keep this up…" Yuzu begs Sora. Ignoring Yuzu "I activate my Set Card on the field, Designer Frightfur!" Sora declares. "With this card's effect, I can Special Summon Edge Imp Tomahawk from my Graveyard and have it be treated as a Frightfur monster!" He explains (ATK: 1800). "Then, I activate the effect of my Edge Imp Frightfuloid in my Graveyard…and have Frightfur monster!" Sora reveals. "Then, I activate Frightfur Fusion from my hand!" He declares. "Using Edge Imp Tomahawk on my field with Frightfuloid and Frightfur Bear in my Graveyard, I perform a Fusion Summon!" He states. Sora's Extra Deck glows "I'll make you realize how powerful I am! The real power I developed at Academia! I'll bring out the strongest monster with real Fusion Summoning!" Sora claims.
The card begins to form on the screen of his Duel Disk, the display freezes up and then begins glowing red. Sora gasps in horror "Stop! I don't want to go yet!" He begs it. "Sora!" Yuzu yells. Wait please! Until I defeat her! Until I finish off that Xyz user!" Sora pleads with his Duel Disk. "I can't go back to Academia!" He screams as he dissipates into blue light (Assembled Nightingale's ATK: 2500). "Sora…Sora!" Yuzu yells out. "Hey! What is going on!? What just happened!?" She asks Ruri.
In the observation room "He ran away back to his dimension" Kurosaki mutters. "Rather than running away, it's more likely…He was forced to return" Reiji corrects him. "It must have been programmed into his Duel Disk. When his true objectives were revealed, it would activated" He states. "He went back to the Fusion Dimension" Ruri tells Yuzu. "Went back!?" Yuzu asks. "Yes. He was originally from that world" Ruri explains. "That world…!? What this ridiculous garbage you've been spewing!?" Sora is from the Fusion Dimension…You and Kurosaki are from the Xyz Dimension!? Are you saying there are other worlds than this one?!" Yuzu asks. "That's correct" Ruri confirms it. "Stop screwing around! There's no way I believe that!" Yuzu denies it. "Hurry up and give Sora back! He was injured during his fight with Kurosaki!" She tells Ruri. "You won't have to worry about that. Academia should have their own doctors" Ruri reassures Yuzu. "Academia?!" Yuzu gasps.
(Flashback)
"Sora mentioned that name too…" Yuzu remembers.
(Flashback ends)
"Just what the heck is the Academia?!" Yuzu asks. Tightening her fist "Academia is…A Training School for Duel Soldiers in the Fusion Dimension!" Ruri explains. "Dueling Soldiers?" Yuzu shocked by the term.
In the Fusion Dimension, Academia castle sits atop an island in a pristine ocean, and students in red, yellow, and blue jackets similar to Sora's walk through a courtyard. One of the yellow-jacketed students sees Sora lying unconscious on the ground. "The medical team has provided accommodations for the students who contacted them. It appears the forced return program had activated…Which means he has revealed his true motive to our enem-"An Aide updates a tall, tan-skinned bald man in a red cape on the situation. "Standard is not our enemy" The bald man tells the Aide. "Yes! Pardon me sir" The Aide apologizes. "I'm sure we'll understand the situation once we investigate his memories" The bald man reassures him. "Yes, sir. I shall make the preparations immediately, Professor" The Aide claims, calling the man, Professor. The Aide turns and leaves, leaving the Professor to stare into a circular machine with green particles floating into it.
"Now that Sora Shiunin has left, it would be my turn, but…this Duel no longer has any reason to continue" Ruri explains. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell: Emergency Provisions!" She declares. "I can send number of Spell or Trap Cards from my field to my Graveyard and gain 1000 LP for each one" Ruri explains. She destroys both of her Trap Cards (Ruri's LP: 5000). "And I end my turn" Ruri states. "Are you sure?! With your Trap gone, I can attack you with my Mozarta!" Yuzu asks Ruri. "If you want to, then do it" Ruri tells Yuzu. "There's no way I could!" Yuzu angrily snaps and she removes her Deck from his Duel Disk. Mozarta and the two Sorceresses vanish, and Ruri removes her own Deck, causing Assembled Nightingale to vanish.
"You said that Sora would be the first step in destroying the Fusion Dimension…But with Sora disappearing like that, aren't you relieved somewhere deep down?" Yuzu asks Ruri. "Even back in your Duel with him, you would have won if you had used two Overlay Units…But you tried to end it by only using one to destroy Sora's monster!" She reminds Ruri. "Could it be you really don't want to fight?!" Yuzu asks. "Those guys…The people at Academia are invaders! They invaded the Xyz Dimension and kidnapped my comrade…my brother's best friend! Our homeland was attacked by them!" Ruri replies. "And turned into a battlefield…"Kurosaki muses from the observation room. Reira gasp and turns to look at him. "Your homeland…? The Xyz Dimension was?!" Yuzu asks. "Academia calls it…Just as they use Fusion Summoning, people of our world all use Xyz Summoning…But it was never used as a tool for fighting! Our Duels were there to make everyone smile and to have fun! That's right…until that day…the day when Academia attacked us!" Ruri explains.
(Flashback)
"Heartland was overflowing with people's smiles" Ruri explains as she remembers Heartland. Duelists were Dueling with their Xyz Monsters in the plaza one day when a burst of lightning struck the ground, and red-jacketed Academia students emerged from the portal, activating sword-shaped Duel Disks and Summoning Ancient Gear Knights that begin attacking the city. The people of began to flee, and one-after-another, they were turned into cards amid the blazing city.

"They turned one person after another into cards!" Ruri explains. Yuzu listen in shock, and Kurosaki slams his fist down in emotional agony. But to Reira's surprised, Reiji was reacting as well, gritting his teeth and clenching his clasped hands subtlety with an expression of fury "Brother…" Reira whispers. "Something like that…I can't believe that! Using Dueling to take over worlds!?" Yuzu protest. "Do you think it doesn't concern you since you're from such a faraway world?" Ruri asks Yuzu. "The world is larger than what you perceive it to be! There are plenty of things happening in places unseen! In this reality, I saw countless people get turned into cards on front of my every own eyes" She tells Yuzu. "A world we don't know of…Does it really exist…? Fusion Dimension and Xyz Dimension?" Yuzu muses. "Then does that mean…!?" She realizes.
"Yes. It certainly exists" Ruri states.
(Flashback)
"The Synchro Dimension" She state as she remembers her clash with the Blue/White Rider and her white artiste.

"It's still a mystery as to why the worlds are divided by summoning methods. But it's an undeniable truth" Ruri tells Yuzu. "Then what about here!? What is our dimension called?!" Yuzu asks. "Standard. Those at the Academia call this world by that name" Ruri explains. "Standard…" Yuzu whispers. "The foundation of all that exists, the center world" Ruri tells Yuzu. In Academia, Sora was strapped down on a table, his bandaged body injected with a chemical that causes his vitals to skyrocket. "Fusion…Xyz…Synchro…Standard…The world is divided into four different dimensions. And the Fusion Dimension is invading the Xyz Dimension…" Yuzu muses. "Why did something like that happen!?" She asks.
"That is because of Leo Akaba's ambition!" Reiji mutters in the control room, startling Reira.
"I don't get anything about this dimension nonsense! But I know this! Dueling is not a tool for conflicts!" Yuzu states. Ruri filched when she hears that. "And even less so for invading…The Dueling that I believe in…is entertainment to make people happy and to put a smiles on their faces!" Yuzu states. Kurosaki looks surprised at this, but then quietly scoffs. "Even now, I remember it clearly. Uncle united everyone with Dueling!" Yuzu states.
(Flashback)
She remembers one of Yusho's Duels in the Showtime Street field alongside Performapal Sky Magician, and the cheering of the crowd, including Yuya and Yuzu. "That power was in the Action Dueling the Uncle created and polished! The power to grab people's attention and bring a smile to their face!" Yuzu states. "I even felt like I was just getting a bit closer to that…" She explains as she remembers her second Duel with Sawatari. "As you can see, my Field is absent of set cards, let alone monsters! The next draw will be betting this whole show on a Destiny Draw!" Yuzu explains. . "If I managed to draw something, I want to hear you cheer!" She tells the audiences. The kids nod. "Draw!" Yuzu declares as she draws in an arc, turning the card to reveal it to be Sorceress Manipulation. "Got it!" She exclaims. "Man, this is getting really excited!" A boy exclaim. "Me too, I don't care who wins now!" He friend states. Suddenly, the flames are caught by a tarp held by toonish hands and catapulted into the air, exploding as fireworks in the sky. "What?!" Sawatari gasps in shock. "How pretty!" A girl admires. "Wow!" A boy express his admiration. After the Duel, the crowd cheering and clapping the both of them. "That was Dueling! The Enteraiment Dueling I believe in!" Yuzu declares.

"To think that Dueling is being used as a tool to hurt people…! I can't forgive it!" Yuzu yells. "You…" Ruri shocked by Yuzu's words.
And then a green light shines out to their side, much to their shock "What is that?" Yuzu wonders. The light fills the area, blinding them and filling the screen in the observation room with static. "What's wrong? What happened!?" Nakajima asks. "The circuit has been disconnected!" A technician frantically explains. "All cameras in the area are not responding!" Another technician frantically explains. "What?!" Nakajima said. The light clears and Yuzu lowers her arms to see a destroyed streetlight; the cause of the disconnected cameras. "Ow…Damnit, what's this thing doing here!?" A rough voice angrily asks, it's the Blue/White Rider , sitting astride her D-Wheel. She takes off her helmet "Jeez…" She cursed, and her face looks exactly like Yuzu's and Ruri's. "You're!" Ruri gasps. "Huh? You're!" The Rider noticing Ruri. "It's finally time for me to finish you! I've been looking for you!" She eagerly yells at Ruri. Ruri grimaces. "There are two girls who look just like me…!?" Yuzu asks in wonder.

Activate this card by targeting 1 opponent's attacking monster; negate the attack. Negate that face-up monster's effects, that face-up monster cannot attack, also monsters you control cannot target that face-up monster for attacks.
