Now with only 800 LP and both Royal Cookpal Princess Pudding (ATK: 300) and Royal Cookpal Knight Pasta (ATK: 300) on his field "When monsters are Special Summoned to my opponent's field, I can activate the effect of Princess Pudding and Knight Pasta!" Michio states, as Olga has 2400 LP and Glacial Beast Iceberg Narwhal (ATK: 2700) on her field and Halil has 1800 LP and Fire Jinn the Flame Genie of the Lamp (ATK: 2400) on his field. "Full House of Full Stomachs!" He declares and he has his "]Royal Cookpals force-feed Olga's Glacial Beast Iceberg Narwhal and Halil's Fire Jinn the Flame Genie of the Lamp, causing them to swell up. "Mokota was pushed into a corner, but has just turned the tables! Can Olga and Halil's monsters handle the rush of exquisite cuisine?!" Nico narrates the twist. Unfortunately for him, the crowd were still displeased by the lack of the other areas "Show us the Duels from other Areas!" A man complains. "You've been only showing us the jungle!" Another man complains. "And what's wrong with letting Mitchie be in the spotlight?!" One of Michio's fans argues. "Yeah, that's right!" Another fan agrees. "If they'd just keep showing Michie, it'd fine…" Another fan states. "We can't allow that!" Yoko states. Tatsuya, Ayu, Futoshi and Shuzo were pleased "Yoko, you!" Shuzo smiles. "This is a Battle Royale. Michie's not the only one fighting" Yoko states. "You have to show me more of Dennis!" She gushes, shocking the local crowd. "Dennis aside! I want to know what's going on with Yuya and Yuzu!" Futoshi states. "If it's come to this, let's go see in person!" Tatsuya decides. "Yeah!" Ayu agrees, and the kid runs off. "Hey! Wait, you guys!" Shuzo tells in pursuit. "I can't forget about Halil's ethnic appeal either…" Yoko muses.
Tatsuya, Ayu, Futoshi run through the halls, followed by Shuzo, until a staff member stops them "Non-participants are forbidden from entering the Battle Royale!" The staff member explains. "Please return to your seats" He asks them. "No way!" Tatsuya shock. "Why?!"Futoshi shock. "Then we can't even go back to our homes?!" Ayu shock. "Even given the situation, isn't that just weird?" Shuzo confuses. "My utmost apologies" Himika apologizes, standing down the hall with Reira. "But we do this because we are thinking of your safety" She states. "Director Akaba!" Shuzo gasps. "This is the first time that Leo Corporation has used the Real Solid Vision System outside of a stadium. We wouldn't want any accidents happening" Himika explains. "I see…So you don't allow people into the Action Fields in order to avoid any accidents?" Shuzo muses. "Yes, thank you for being so understanding" Himika thanks Shuzo. "Oh, you're one of the finalists for the Junior Class Championship, Tatsuya Yamashiro, aren't you?" She notices Tatsuya. "Yes, ma'am!" Tatsuya replies. "The other Semi-final match to decide your opponent is about to start in another stadium right now. The winner will, of course, be Reira. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's finals!" Himika comments. Reira's hand tightens on his teddy bear. "The Top 8 matches for not only the Junior Class, but also the Youth Class, are all on schedule. It is a shame we can't show them here, but…" Himika states. "Soon, all the feeds will return, and the tournament will continue as if nothing had happened at all. Yes, everything will go as we planned" She reassures them. "Everything goes as they plan…" Shuzo repeats the cryptic statement to himself.
At the Ancient Ruins area "My turn!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force declares and draws. "I activate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound's effect too!" He declares. "I deal 600 damage to my opponent!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force states, knocking Yuzu onto her back (Yuzu' LP: 200). "Darling!" Satoru yells and tries to help her. "Wait!" Gongenzaka holds him back. "But at this rate, Darling will get…!" Satoru protest. "Is that really Yuzu?" Gongenzaka wonders. Yuzu meanwhile gets to her feet and roars in anger, emitting a dark aura. Nakajima and Reiji were watching from the Leo Corporation observation room "Just what is…?!" Nakajima wonders. "What the hell is with this girl!?" The terrified red jeweled Obelisk Force wonders. "Hurry up and eliminated her!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force yells. Yuzu's eyes widen at the statement "My turn!" She declares. She draws while shrouded in darkness, and the shadows burst apart to reveal that she's drawn Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra. Her eyes flick from the card to his Pendulum Zones "Swing again, Pendulum of my Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monster servant!" Yuzu chants. Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra appears from the Summoning portal and hymns (ATK: 2600). "Yuzu has two artistes on her field!" Gongenzaka gasps. "Dissonat the Melodious Sorceress, who watches over contrast! Unite the stars your sharp judgment!" Yuzu chants. "Dissonat the Melodious Sorceress' Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, I can target one Xyz monster to have it gain a Level equal to its Rank! I grant the Rank 1 Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale a Level 1!" She declares. The energy becomes a star in a circle, which unleashes three pulses of light that combine and infuse " Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale with a Level of 1 (Assembled Nightingale's Rank: 1 – Level: 1). "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Giving an Xyz monster a Level?!" Nakajima shock. "Symphonia the Melodious Sorceress, who watches over harmony! Fill the heavens with stars using your arcane powers!" Yuzu chants. "Symphonia the Melodious Sorceress' Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, I can target a monster to make it the same Level as another monster!" She declares. Symphonia the Melodious Sorceress fires an arrow at the space between Mozarta and Assembled Nightingale, covering them in red and purple energy respectively "I make Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale's Level the same as Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra's: 8!" Yuzu declares (Assembled Nightingale's Level: 8). "N-now she has…" Gongenzaka observes. "Two Level 8 monsters" Reiji observes. "It can't be!" Nakajima gasps. "I Overlay my Level 8 Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra and Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale!" Yuzu declares. "Artiste of radiant voice… Release the night aristocratic rage, and eradicate all opposing enemies! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 8! Artiste with voice emotional with fury! Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale!" She chants. With a shrike, the new Artiste appears (ATK: 3000), causing powerful shockwaves to rock the area. "These shockwaves can't be from Standard…" The green jeweled Obelisk Force gasps. "Darling!" Satoru tries to leap for Yuzu, but only succeeds in being blown back into Gongenzaka by the shockwaves and knocking them both down.
In the Iceberg Area, Rin emerges in surprise from a flash of light on her D-Wheel. "Huh?!" Rin surprised as she looks around. "Is this…the Ice Age?" Rin wonders, and then she pulls out her Windwitch - Winter Bell card "Whenever this girl shines, I get warped to random places…" She wonders. Looking around the icy landscape "Don't tell me that now I've jumped through time?!" Rin exclaims. Rin takes off her helmet "A world ,eons later, where humanity is destroyed…" She wonders. "Wait! There are people here!" Rin notices Takeda and Umesugi. "Hey! You guys!" She yells to them. Takeda and Umesugi turn around to see Rin behind them "You're!" Takeda exclaims. "Yuzu Hiragi!" Umesugi exclaims. "Don't get my name wrong right off the bat!" Rin irritating that her being mistaken immediately. "I'm Rin!" She tells them.
Back at the Ancient Ruins "When Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale is Summoned using Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale being treated as a Level 8, It can destroy all of my opponent's Level 8 and under monsters. And deals damage equal to their ATK!" Yuzu explains. Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale lets out a shriek that destroys the three Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds as they try to retreat, and the Obelisk Force all take 1000 damage (Red's LP: 1500) (Green's LP: 3000) (Yellow's LP: 3000). "Furthermore, by using one Overlay Unit…it can attack as many times as monsters were destroyed this turn!" Yuzu explains. "As many as monster were destroyed?!" Gongenzaka shocked as he shields Satoru and Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale absorbs one of its Overlay Units into its mouth "There were three monsters destroyed this turn…So, I can attack all three all three of you bastards at once!" Yuzu explains. The struts that make up the wings of Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale open up, generating energy beams to spread its wings "Get them, Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale!" Yuzu tells her. "Turbulent Fury Assault Violation!" She declares. Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale plunge it talons into the ground and flies forwards, ripping up the road. Mozarta the Melodious Nightingale rips its talons from the ground to strike the Obelisk Force, knocking them down (Red's LP: 0) (Yellow's LP: 0) Green's LP: 0).
In the Leo Corporation observation room, the view of the Duel was interrupted "What is it!? What is going on now?!" Nakajima asks. "We have detected a high-level Synchro Summoning energy in the Iceberg Area!" A Technician reports. "What?!" Reiji caught off guard by the announcement.
The person responsible for the reading, Rin, sits astride her D-Wheel "How long are you going to lie there!? Where is this place!? Answer me!" She asks the defeated Takeda and Umesugi. But the unconscious Ryozanpaku students doesn't respond. "Jeez…" Rin said. She takes off her helmet again "You're the ones who came at me!" Rin protest. "Is anyone else around? Hey!" She calls out.
Yuzu turns away from the defeated Obelisk Force and walks towards a temple, darkness still emanating from her body. Gongenzaka lets go of Satoru "What's happening inside that temple?" He wonders. An explosion of particles echoes out from inside the temple, knocking Kurosaki to the edge of the stairs. "Kurosaki!" Gongenzaka shocked to see him. "She's going to Duel with Kurosaki!?" He wonders. Then he notices a weakened pillar crumbling beside where Yuzu was walking towards "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka yells his friend's name as he runs forwards. As the pillar fall toward Yuzu "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka dives on her. Satoru covers his eyes in horror, and peeks out to see that Gongenzaka had pinned Yuzu down to the ground while at the same time taken the weight of the pillar on his back. Yuzu begins screaming and struggling "Hurry! Go get someone!" Gongenzaka yells at Satoru. Satoru was terrified to move and Yuzu continues to struggles under Gongenzaka. "I'm counting on you!" Gongenzaka tells Satoru. "O-okay!" Satoru agrees and runs off in terror as Yuzu continues to scream.
"Now for the finish!" Michio declares. "By returning Princess Pudding and Knight Pasta to my hand, I can destroyed one monster for each card return by this effect!" He states. Both Fire Jinn and Iceberg Narwhal explode. Both Olga and Halil gasps in shock "At this moment, I activate the Trap Card: Metabolic Storm!" Michio declares. "I deal damage to my opponent equal to the ATK of the monsters destroyed by my Royal Cookpal's effect!" He explains. The storm blasts the increasingly worried Halil and Olga over "I hope you come dine with me again" Michio bows (Halil's LP: 0) (Olga's LP: 0). "All right, you won!" Teppei congratulates Michio. Olga and Halil sits up as Teppei went to them "Hurry up and give me your Pendulum Cards!" He greedily tells Halil and Olga. "You didn't even do anything!" Olga states. "How shameless" Halil said. but they hand the cards over regardless. "Thanks, come again!" Teppei sneers. He chuckles "This is good! I'm looking forward to working with you, partner!" Teppei states to Michio, but turns to see Michio talking to Satoru "What!? Yuzu is-?!" Michio exclaims about the information Satoru gave him about Yuzu. Satoru notices Teppei "You too! If you're his partner, then come with us!" He snaps a Teppei. "Huh?" Teppei confused as the stream being stopped in the LDS Center Court, infuriating the crowd. "Hey! Why can't we even see Mitchie now!?" One of Michio's fan complains. "He was happy that he had just won, too!" Another fan states. "Umm, from what I have been told, it seems a non-participant or a fan has snuck into the Battle Royale…" Poor Nico could only offer a cobbled together explanation. "That person who was on the screen for an instant was…The boy who we saw one the last day of the first round of the Youth division" Shuzo remembers Satoru. "I thought I heard him say something about Yuzu…" He thinks.
"We cannot confirm the presence of any Duelists in the Iceberg Area" A technician reports, unable to find Rin. "After detecting such a powerful Synchro Summon…It must have been a Duelist of the Synchro Dimension. And if she is the kin of the Fusion Dimension Kurosaki spoke of…" Reiji states. "Find them! Continue your search!" He orders his staff. "Yes sir!" His staff responds. "And Yuzu Hiragi…?" Reiji asks Nakajima for an upadate on Yuzu. "She was moved to the Jungle Area by the people who went after her" Nakajima explains.
Birds flee from the Jungle Area as Yuzu screams, thrashing her head while Gongenzaka, Michio, and Teppei pin her limbs to the ground, while the darkness that surrounded her has retreated. "How did this happen!?" Michio asks. "I don't know! It's almost as if something is possessing Yuzu!" Gongenzaka replies. "What? Don't say something like-" Teppei nervously tells Gongenzaka, but Yuzu leans over and bites Teppei's hand (fortunately through his glove), causing Teppei to let go with a scream, receiving an uppercut from Yuzu as the coup de grace before he grabs Yuzu's wrist again. "Why do I have to go through this?" Teppei asks. "Now that I think about it, I'm not even this girl's friend or anything!" He states. "And I wasn't your friend, either" Michio agrees. "But I listened to your request and decide to be your comrade. Because I believe if I worked with you, I could get plenty of Duels in and further polish my skills!" He states. "Now it's your turn to listen to my request! Please help Yuzu with me" Michio asks Teppei. "But…how would we do that?" Teppei asks and Satoru holds his crystal apple out over Yuzu's head "First and foremost, we should determine what is possessing Darling" He explains. "You can see that?" Teppei asks him. "I'm Satoru Unmei. I'm a Divination Duelist with the greatest fortune-telling abilities of my school" Satoru explains. "If I use that power then…!" He states as his crystal apple glows. "I can see it…I can see it!" Satoru exclaim, and then gasps. "What's wrong?!" Gongenzaka asks. "Did you see something?" Michio asks. "There are two souls inside Darling!" Satoru exclaims. "Two souls!?" Gongenzaka, Michio and Teppei shocked. "No…it's not just two! Deeper inside, there's something else that's trying to overwhelm the other two!" Satoru states. "Something what…?" Michio asks. "I don't know! I don't know, but it is a very terrifying existence!" Satoru gasps. "Terrifying existence?!" Gongenzaka surprised. "C-cut that out, you guys!" Teppei asks them and then Yuzu bolts upright with a scream, before gasping and falling unconscious. "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka exclaims. "Yuzu!" Michio exclaims. "Darling!" Satoru exclaims.
"President! The Fuuma Ninja have capture Yuri and moved him to the Iceberg Area" Nakajima informs Reiji of the update he received. "Yuri…" Reiji mutters.
Hikage, Tsukikage, and Yuya walk through the Iceberg Area, with Yuri slung over Hikage's back "Let go of me! Get your hands off me, you masked ninja!" Yuri nosily telling Hikage. "I didn't need your help! Why did you interfere in my fight!? Let me go!" He protests. Sweatdropping, Hikage eventually complies and releases him. "What are you after!?" Yuri asks the ninja. "It doesn't seem like you're working with them!" He states. Ignoring him "Tsukikage, I'll leave these two to you. There might be more of them nearby...I'm going to go check on the situation" Hikage tells him. "Understood, Brother" Tsukikage replies, and Hikage speeds away. "Who are those guys?" Yuya asks Tsukikage. "From what we heard they are from Academia in the Fusion Dimension" Tsukikage explains. "Academia?!" Yuya shocked that Yuri was pursued by the Fusion Dimension. "Then you must be Yuto after all!?" He decides. "Did you escape from the Fusion Dimension on your own!?" Yuya asks him. "Those people from Academia are chasing after you…" He said. "I'm Yuri!" Yuri cuts him off by introducing himself. "My name is certainly not Yuto" He states. "Yuri…?" Yuya confuses. "It's true that they are from Academia and are out to capture me" Yuri admits. "But I won't be captured! Even without this ninja's help, I would have fended them off myself!" He states. Tsukikage scoffs and turns away. "Out to capture you…? Why are they after you?" Yuya asks. "It's obvious! They are obeying the Professor's orders!" Yuri replies. "Professor?" Yuya asks. "In Academia, the Professor's orders are absolute. We are not allowed to disobey them. But I disobeyed those rules in order to prove to him my own power! If I eliminate the remnants of the Xyz Dimension in Standard, The Professor will regret not sending me out to the front lines! That's why!" Yuri explains. "That's why you Dueled Dennis?" Yuya asks. "I had the wrong idea about him" Yuri admits. Eavesdropping from behind an ice wave on top of a nearby building "I told you so!" Dennis laughs to himself. "So that means you're from Academia? And by the front lines you mean the Xyz Dimension?!" Yuya realizes. "That's right!" Yuri confirms it. "All of my comrades went to the Xyz Dimension and were able to display their skills honourably! But I alone was to stay behind by the Professor's orders" He laments.
"Do you even know what Academia did to the Xyz Dimension!?" Yuya asks Yuri. Yuri didn't reply "Xyz Dimension, Yuto's homeland, was a peaceful place! Until that day came…" Yuya explains and remembers Kurosaki's explanation of the day.

"On that day, our enemy attacked us without warning and turned our town into a battlefield!" Kurosaki explains.
(Flashback ends)
"I heard that the people of Academia constantly attacked the people of Xyz Dimension with smiles on their faces. As if they were taking part in a hunting game…" Yuya explains.
Meanwhile, Kurosaki faces off against Sora in the temple, his previous attack having failed. Sora sneers at him while Kurosaki grits his teeth.
In the Volcano Area, Hikage stops on a rock to see Yuu Sakuragi and two of the Youth Team facing off against three of the Obelisk Force, who all control Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, while Sakuragi controls Hierophant of Prophecy, and his fellows control Naturia Leodrake and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth. "I thought there were six members of Academia that showed up…Where are the other three?" Hikage wonders.
By the time Yuya has finished his tale, the sun was setting and Dennis was still in hiding. Yuri scoffs "Ridiculous!" He calls it. "Huh?" Yuya said. "Laughing as if it were a game? The Duelist of Academia are warriors. They would never do something that foolish!" Yuri states. "Are you saying that they lying?" Yuya asks. "Academia has a noble objective! The objective to make the all worlds one!" Yuri explains. "Make the worlds one…?" Yuya asks. "The invasion of the Xyz Dimension was for that purpose. Eventually, we will assimilate the Synchro Dimension and this Standard Dimension and untie all the worlds! All of Academia's Duelists were trained to achieve that noble objective! Prideful warriors like that would never do such things!" Yuri states. "What pride is there in bringing tons of grief!?" Yuya angrily asks. "What do they have to grieve over?" Yuri asks. "The Xyz Duelists should have their own pride as well! Even if they were to lose their lives, if they fought with their all, they should be able to accept the result and-" He states. Yuya angrily grabs Yuri by the shoulders "Are you telling them to shut up and accept it when they lose their families as well!?" He asks. Yuri was confused. "Academia didn't just bring grief to Xyz Duelists, but to their friends and families as well!" Yuya explains. "Are their families not Duelists!?" Yuri asks. Yuya closed his eyes "Kurosaki and Ruri are fighting to save Yuto, Kurosaki's best friend, from Academia!" He explains. "To save him…?" Yuri surprised. "Shun Kurosaki is the Xyz remnant you're after!" Yuya states. "If you don't believe what I'm telling you, then go check with him yourself!" He tells Yuri.
In the Jungle Area, Michio spoons some soup into Yuzu's mouth. Yuzu slowly wakes up to see Gongenzaka, Michio, and Teppei staring down at her. "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka calls her name. "Yuzu!" Michio calls her name. "I've had my fill of scary occult things!" Teppei complains. "Michio…Gongenzaka…" Yuzu murmurs their names, and then Satoru leans over her "Darling!" He calls. "You're…Satoru?" Yuzu surprised to see him. "She's back! Darling is back to the usual Darling!" Satoru cheers that Yuzu was back to normal before tightly hugging her around the neck.
Later "Well, it was nothing, the reason you came back to normal is because of my help!" Teppei claims. "By the way, the soup you just drank was made with the fish that I caught from the sea!" He explains. "I don't need your thanks, but…If you insist, you can give me all the Pendulum Cards you…" Teppei said. "Hey! Are you even listening!?" He snaps having only just realized that everyone is ignoring him as they tend to Yuzu. Later everyone was around the Campfire "All I remember is…" Yuzu admits.

"Those guys from Academia showed up all of the sudden, and the three from Knight of Duels…" Yuzu explains what happened.

"People who lose to them in a Duel are turned into cards?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "That can't be!" Michio shocked. "After that, I can't remember anything…Did I defeat them!?" Yuzu asks. "Yeah, by Xyz Summoning a artiste I've never seen before" Gongenzaka explains. "A artiste you've never seen?" Yuzu surprised. Satoru, meanwhile, was examining Yuzu through his crystal apple again "I really can't see it…Darling is the same Darling as always" He laments. "Before, I saw another soul inside of you…And even deeper, another dark shadowy thing…" Satoru explains. "Another soul inside of me?!" Yuzu surprised. "I can't believe that at all!" Michio finds it hard to believe. "Maybe you mistook what you saw?" He asks Satoru. "I didn't!" Satoru protest. "Well, I can't say that for sure thought…" He admits. The mention of another soul sparks something inside of her "Could that be…Ruri…" Yuzu wonder, and she pulls out the Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale card "Is that it? You're inside of me?" She wonders. "That's why…those were the people of the Xyz Dimension! You're anger did that to me…" Yuzu realizes. "But..." She thinks. "With Duels…Smile…" Yuzu remembers what Ruri tells her. "You entrusted this card to me saying that. Why?" Yuzu wonders.
Back at the Iceberg Area, "I understand. I'll meet this Xyz Dimension Duelist called Kurosaki and check if what you said id true" Yuri states. Yuya nods "Oh I know! Let's swap clothes!" He excitedly suggests. "Clothes?" Yuri confuses. "It'd be a hassle if you were found by Academia before you got to Kurosaki, right?" Yuya points out. "I see…So you're willing to be my double and draw their attention away from me?" Yuri realizes. "Exactly!" Yuya confirms it. "All right!" Yuri prepares to strip off him jacket. ""W-w-wait a second!" Yuya protest vehemently. "Why!?" Yuri asks what he means, and Yuya shoots a glare at Tsukikage's back "Don't give me that!" He tells Yuri, leading the confused boy behind a rock to change. "Now, let's get change" Yuya said. "Okay…" Yuri confuses. "You hear that? We're changing, got it?" Yuya tells Tsukikage. "Understood" Tsukikage stiffly agrees; as does the eavesdropping Dennis, who turns away and closes his eyes. Soon the two boys have switched clothes, retaining their hairstyles, their bracelets and their Duel Disks. "This will do it!" Yuya states, while Yuri just looked at himself. "Kurosaki wasn't in the Volcano or the Jungle Area. All that's left is…" Yuya explains. "The Ancient Ruins!" Yuri finishes. Nodding at one another, the two boys run off in different directions And Tsukikage speed steps after Yuri
Dennis watches them go, and a light shines out in front of him. He turns to the light and smiles "What this? It's you?" Dennis comments. "I was getting tired of waiting…Selena" He tells her.
