In this chapter Yuya will meet both Selena and Rin and get warped.
Selena of The Cold Smile
At the LDS Center Court, the crowd were furious that none of the streams are showing "Cut this out already!" A man complains. "Give me my money back!" Another man demands. "What's the management even doing?" Another man asks angrily. "I'm gonna go home, damn it!" Another man yells. The staff gave out blankets to the audiences. "I'd like to voice some of my complains too, you know! I don't even know who's Dueling where, or who's beating whom! Now this isn't even a live broadcast anymore!" Nico sits in the middle of the arena in frustration. "Ah, jeez! Please let me at least do my job! I'm begging you! Please!" He begs. "It looks like LDS' Director was telling the truth…" Tatsuya comments as he Ayu and Futoshi wrap up warm to spend the night at the stadium. "Look, the eight from the Youth team are doing their own Battle Royale!" He states. "What does this "lost" text mean?" Futoshi asks about the "LOST" text on Tatsuya's Duel Disk means for Ren Takamine and Koki Shinoda. "Probably that they were defeated in a Duel and lost their Pendulum Cards…" Tatsuya theorize. "Reira won!" Ayu gasps as she holds up her Duel Disk. "Huh?" Tatsuya gasps. "See!" Ayu shows him the results of Reira's match on her Duel Disk. "Just like that old lady said!" Futoshi said. "Reira and I are fighting in the finals…" Tatsuya realizes.
A glow shines out as Dennis looks over the Iceberg Area. He turns "Oh, it's just you? I was getting tired of waiting" Dennis comments. "You're finally here, Selena" He tells her. "So did you find him?" Selena asks. "Of course!" Dennis replies. "I've already…Huh?" He said as he turns to point at Yuya. "He's surrounded already…" Dennis surprise, Yuya was already surrounded by three Obelisk Force Duelists. "Ah, jeez…" Dennis tuts about the situation. "What are they doing here?" Selena asks. "Professor gave only me the orders to capture and bring back Yuya Sakaki" She states. "Yes, a good question. But the answer is rather simple. Yuya exchange outfits with Yuri" Dennis explains. "The Obelisk Force is probably going after Yuri" He states. "The two of them are look-alikes, just like you and Yuzu. That's why-" Dennis comments. "And who is that? Yuzu?" Selena sternly asks. "I keep telling you, the girl from this dimension who looks just…"Dennis begins explaining. Before he can finish, Huh?" Dennis said as they both hear screaming as Halil and Olga toboggan along an ice wave, ramping into the air and crashing against the railing on the other side of the building. "That scared me!" Olga gasps. "We went too fast!" Halil gasps. "It's because you said you wanted to ride it!" Olga protests. "But we found some Duelist!" Halil points out. "Oh boy, they saw us" Dennis cheerfully laments that Halil and Olga saw them. "What are you people doing here?" Olga asks Dennis and Selena. "Sheesh, that's the last thing I want to hear from you…"Dennis comments, and he looks on sadly as Selena steps forward "You people are nuisance" Selena comments. Halil and Olga get fierce looks on their faces.
Yuya looks around at the Obelisk Force "In order for Yuri to learn what happened in the Xyz Dimension, he has to meet Kurosaki! I have to keep these guys away from him!" Yuya thinks. He activates his Duel Disk, and the red jeweled Obelisk Force activates his sword-shaped Duel Disks "Those Duel Disks! Those are from the Fusion Dimension…" Yuya promptly notices as the Yellow jeweled Obelisk Force activates his Duel Disk, and then Green activates his. "Since its come to this…I have to fight!" Yuya declares. "You people are nuisance too!" Selena call the Obelisk Force, leaping from the building to land in a crouch. "Yuzu!" Yuya exclaim as Selena resemblance to Yuzu strikes him. "What are you saying?" Selena irritably asks. "I'm not that girl" She states. She stands up "That aside, you three, out of my way. If you get in my way, you'll end up like this" Selena tells the Obelisk Force. Selena tosses two cards forwards, which embed in the ice. "Huh? Those are?!" Yuya shocked to see them, and the ice breaks, turning the cards over to reveal Halil and Olga sealed inside. "It can't be…People are sealed inside these cards…!?"It can't be" Yuya shocked as he knees down and the Obelisk Force run off.
Selena walks up "Oh, do you know them?" She asks Yuya. "Sorry, they were interfering with my work" Selena apologizes, explaining. "You can have them back" She states. "Rin…another girl who looks just like me" Yuya remembers Yuzu telling him about Rin, who resembled her and Ruri. "So she's Rin…" He decides that Selena must be Rin. "Did you do this?" Yuya asks. "That's right" Selena responds. "Why!?" Yuya asks. "Why? Because they were nuisances" Selena responds in confusion. "Turning people into cards-!" Yuya angrily yells at him. "If you keep on bugging me about it…I'll turn you into a card too" Selena softly interrupts, warning him. "The threat silences Yuya "But I won't. If I did something like that, I'd bet scolded by the Professor" Selena admits. "Professor?!" Yuya exclaims as he remembers what Yuri told him.

"In Academia, the Professor's orders are absolute" Yuri explains.
(Flashback ends)
"So that means you're from Academia!?" Yuya ask. "Yeah, that' right" Selena replies. "But you really do look just like them….Yuto and Yugo, that is" She comments. "Yuto and Yugo!?" Yuya gasps in shock. "Then the one who kidnapped Yuto was…!?" He asks. "Yep, me" Selena admits with a grin. "Why would you do something like that?!" Yuya asks her. "Why? Because it was the Professor's orders" Selena replies. Yuya gasps. "Right now, I'm only acting on the Professor's orders. His order to bring you to him, that is" Selena explains. "Me?! Why!?" Yuya asks. "I don't know, I only follow" Selena explains as she walks up to him. She holds out her hand "Anyways, Come, the Professor is waiting for you" Selena tells him. But the leering smile on his face gives Yuya pause, and he slaps her hand away and backflips four times, landing on his feet. Selena shakes the hand that Yuya slapped "Oh? Pretty good!" She praised him. "You're really just like Yuto and Yugo" Selena comments. Yuya looks at Selena in shocked. "Then, how about we do this? We'll Duel, and if I win, you have to listen to what I say. Sound good?" Selena suggested. "Hold on! You didn't just kidnap Yuto, but also this Yugo boy too? Why!?" Yuya asks Selena. "I told you, it was an order" Selena states. "Come on, hurry up! Weren't you just all ready to go against the Obelisk Force?" She tells him. "I…!" Yuya hesitates. "If you won't start, I will" Selena tells Yuya, activating her Duel Disk. Yuya grits his teeth "I won't go down that easy!" He vows.
Off to the side, Dennis stands with the Obelisk Force "Now then we can leave this to Selena and…" Dennis comment. He turns "I'm going to need you all to cooperate with me" Dennis tells the Obelisk Force, and flips his collar to reveal his Academia pin.
In the Volcano Area, the real Rin sits on her D-Wheel, perched on top of an outcrop. "What the heck is this? First the Ice Age, and now a blazing hell…" Rin puzzles as she opens her visor. "What's going on with this world?" She wonders. "Stop it!" Rin hears someone screams, and he looks across to where the three Youth Team members were Duelling the Obelisk Force. "That's…" Rin gasps. Yuu Sakuragi and his two fellows still control their ace monsters, Hierophant of Prophecy (ATK: 2800), Naturia Leodrake (ATK: 3000), and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth (ATK: 3500), but the Obelisk Force each control a copy of Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound (ATK: 1400x3) and Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound (ATK: 1800). "I activate the Continuous Spell Card: Ancient Armageddon Gear from my hand!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force declares. "And with Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound's effect, I can attack three times!" He reminds the Youth Team. "First I'll start with your monster!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force points to the purple-haired Duellist. The purple-haired Duellist recoils in fear. "Get him, battle! I attack Naturia Leodrake! And I activate Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound's effect" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force declares. "Any monster with a Gear Counter on it can be destroyed before damage calculation!" He explains. Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound flings a Gear Counter at Naturia Leodrake, destroying it. A cannon-covered machine emerges from the ground "And now, with Ancient Armageddon Gear's effect, the destroyed monster's ATK of 3000 is dealt to its controller!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force explains. The machine blasts several bolts of light that coalesce into a single blast that knocks the purple-haired Duelist down (Purple-haired Duelist's LP: 2400 → 0). The impact throws the Duellist to the feet of the red jeweled Obelisk Force, who begins inputting a code into his Duel Disk. "St-stop! Please!" The purple-haired Duellist begs the red jeweled Obelisk Force, but no-one heeds his words "Help me!" He screams in fear as purple light envelopes him and disintegrates his body. A card slides out of the Duel Disk, bearing the image of the Duelist, and the red jeweled Obelisk Force laughs as he holds the card. Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth was destroyed as well "With the same effect, you also take 3500 damage!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force tells the Insect Duellist. Another blast strikes the terrified Insect Duelist down (Insect Duelist's LP: 2100 → 0). The Insect Duelist falls on his face, and is swiftly sealed in a card by the green jeweled Obelisk Force. "Those guys are…" Rin recognizes the Obelisk Force from the invasion of the Xyz Dimension.

Rin remembers red-jacket Academia students transforming the fleeing and helpless citizens of Heartland City into cards.

"Those bastards are here too!?" Rin furiously asks. "This is the end!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force tells Sakuragi. "I attack Hierophant of Prophecy!" He declares, and Sakuragi cries out in fear.
"Hold it right their!" Rin roars at the Obelisk Force. Ramping into the air, Rin lands on the bridge in the middle of the Obelisk Force. In the Leo Corporation observation room "There is an intruder in the Volcano Area!" A technician notes Rin's presence. "She's…! She's not a Duelist from the Fusion Dimension! Then is she from the Synchro Dimension…?" Nakajima wonders. Rin's Duel Disk activates "I Special Summon Windwitch-Polar Bell from my hand!" Rin declares (ATK: 100). "With its effect, I change all of my opponent's monsters to Defense Position!" She explains. Polar Bell blast vapours from her corners, switching all of the Obelisk Force's Fusion Monsters to Defense Position (Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound: DEF: 1000x 3) (Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound: DEF: 1000x 3). "Damn it, then…I end my turn!" The yellow jeweled Obelisk Force curses. "You! Just who are you!?" The red jeweled Obelisk Force asks Rin. "I'm Rin!" Rin introduces herself. "Kin? Are you an ally, then?!" The red jeweled Obelisk Force asks. Frustrated at her name being mistaken again "I said "Rin," damnit!" Rin snaps, speeds towards the Obelisk Force. "My turn!" She declares and draws. "I Summon Windwitch-Glaze Bell from my hand!" Rin declares as she drives up an outcrop and speeds into the air (ATK: 300). "I Tune my Level 4 Polar Bell with my Level 3 Glaze Bell!" Rin declares, and she lands on the side of the building. "Winds of winter, snow and ice! Become my power to blow everything away! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Windwitch-Winter Bell!" She chants (ATK: 2400). "Winter Bell?" Reiji surprised, and Rin hits the ground with Winter Bell behind her. The Obelisk Force were surprised "But whenever a monster is Summoned or Special Summoned, Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound's effect puts one Gear Counter on it!" The yellow jeweled member states. "Now your Artiste shares the same fate as their monsters!" The red jeweled Obelisk Force comments.
"I wonder about that…" Rin comments. "What?!" The red jeweled Obelisk Force exclaims. "When a Level 5 or higher monster activates its effect, I can activate the Quick-Play Spell: Ice Storm from my hand to negate that effect and destroy that monster!" Rin declares and Winter Bell's blasts light from its blades that disintegrates one of the Double Hunting Hounds. The destruction of a monster triggers the effect of Ancient Armageddon Gear, and the yellow-jeweled Obelisk Force is struck down (Yellow's LP: 1800). "From his own card's effect?!" The green jeweled Obelisk Force gasps in shock. "And Windwitch-Winter Bell's ATK is increased by the destroyed monster's ATK!" Rin interrupts, explaining (Winter Bell's ATK: 3800). "Prepare yourself! Now it's over!" Rin, grinning, tells the Obelisk Force. "I activate the Spell Card: Synchro Cracker from my hand!" She declares. "I return Windwitch-Winter Bell to my Extra Deck and destroy all monsters with lower ATK than it!" Rin explains. Winter Bell blasts out blades of light that destroy the Hunting Hound Fusion Monsters "Get finished off by your own card!" Rin tells them. "With Ancient Armageddon Gear, you take damage equal to the ATK of your monsters!" She reminds the Obelisk Force, as Ancient Armageddon Gear blasted them (Red's LP: 0) (Green's LP: 0) (Yellow's LP: 0), knocking them to the ground. "She wiped out that many opponents that fast!?" Nakajima shocked. "Synchro…is not our enemy?" Reiji realizes.
"Hey, are you okay?" Rin asks Sakuragi, but the stress of the battle has gone to Sakuragi's head. "W-we can't fight like this!" Sakuragi protest and flees, screaming in terror. "Hey! What the heck? I saved him and he doesn't even thank me?" Rin offended. Back in the observation room "Our elite Youth Team was…" Nakajima shocked. "President! If it's come to this, we need to send out the Top Team…!" He tells Reiji. "It wouldn't work. Right now, LDS doesn't have the strength to fend off Academia" Reiji bluntly replies. "We won't know that unless we try!" Nakajima protest. "Have you forgotten why I am working to form a new team of Lancers?" Reiji reminds Nakajima. "Since the discovery of Pendulum Summoning, Dueling has moved to a new stage. Any skills that were acquired before that will not be able to compete with Duelists from other dimensions!" He explains. "But, to use the term "Yuzu Hiragi's generation", if they and any Duelist younger than Junior Youth are able to embrace Pendulum without any resistance, there is a possibility they could become even stronger" Reiji states.
"Quit messing around, Reiji Akaba!" Sawatari tells him as he enters the room. "Sawatari!? Why are you here?" Nakajima shocked. "What are the guards doing!?" He asks. "My dad's influence was more than enough for that!" Sawatari explains. "More importantly, what is going on!? Why aren't you showing what's going on with the Battle Royale?!" He demands. "You want to see it?" Reiji asks. "Of course I do! I want to see how far the girl who beat me, Yuzu Hiragi, gets with my own eyes!" Sawatari states. "I see…" Reiji muse. "Then I'm fine with letting just you see" He decides. "President!" Nakajima tries to protest, but Reiji turns in his seat "Shingo Sawataari, would you like to take part in a revival match?" He asks Sawatari. "A revival match?!" Sawatari surprised, but grins in anticipation.
The sun begins to rise in the Jungle Area, but while Gongenzaka, Satoru, Teppei and Michio were sleeping peacefully, Yuzu sits against a tree holding the Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale card. "There are two souls inside of me. One of them is me and the other is Ruri…It was you, wasn't it?" Yuzu muses.
(Flashback)
"When those guys from Academia showed up and turned Knights of Duels into cards…I saw the tragedy of the Xyz Dimension unfold before my very eyes. The anger, that sadness drove me into darkness" Yuzu remembers.

"But you had said this…" Yuzu muses.
(Flashback)
"With your power…Give it to the world…and everyone's futures…Smiles…" Ruri tells Yuzu.
(Flashback ends)
"Those words had to have been how you truly felt! If so, then…What threw me into that rage wasn't Ruri…" Yuzu decides.
(Flashback)
"What I saw earlier was another soul and…And even deeper, another dark shadowy thing…" Satoru tells Yuzu.
(Flashback ends)
"A dark shadow…Even I have no idea what that could be" Yuzu thinks. "And if that unknown thing is what threw me into that rage…!" She despairs. "When you let fear gets a hold of you, you won't be able to do a thing" Yuzu hears Yusho's voice.
(Flashback)
"If you want to win, gather your courage and press forward!" Yuzu remembers what Yusho told her.

"That's right!" Yuzu realizes that Yusho was right, grasping her pendant. "Don't be afraid!" She reminds herself. "No matter what kind of demon may residing in my soul…I'll believe in myself and the Ruri inside of me!" Yuzu vows. Everyone else hears her and wakes up, and Yuzu stands up "If we combine our strength, we'll never lose to that thing! We'll definitely win and bring Duels with smiles to the world and everyone future!" She states. "I'm not alone!" Yuzu yells and Gongenzaka smiles proudly, as do Satoru and Michio. "Everyone, it's morning!" Yuzu tells them. "All right, let's have breakfast!" She suggests.
Yuzu eats a small sandwich whole "Delicious! Your cooking really is the best, Michie!" She praises Michio's cooking. "It's just a simple little something I put together from what we could find!" Michio modestly calls it. "No, it really is impressive! You're strong at Duels and your cooking is delicious! You are the best partner, Michie!" Teppei agrees with Yuzu. "Yuzu being able to regain her spirit is also thanks to your cooking" Gongenzaka agrees, pointing out. "I, the man, Gongenzaka, must express my thanks. Thank you, Michie!" He humbly thanks Michio. Satoru finally had enough "What the heck! You keep going on about Michie this and Michie that!" He angrily asks, springing to his feet. "Even I can make delicious food for Darling!" Satoru states. He runs off "Hey!" Yuzu calls out. "What's with him? Where is he going?" Teppei asks. "Maybe to search for ingredients?" Michio suggests. "Hey wait, he's not a participant in the Battle Royale, is he?" He realizes. "It's not only Satoru. There are plenty of other Duelists not a part of the Junior Youth Championship that have invaded!" Gongenzaka explains.

Yuzu remembers the encounter with Sora and the Obelisk Force.

"Sora was there too…" Yuzu muses. "Sora!?" Gongenzaka surprised by that news. "Sora came back?!" He asks. "Yeah, with those guys from Academia" Yuzu confirms it, in addition to the fact that Sora was with Academia.
Yuya flees through a canyon of ice, gasping "I can't do it…I'm not match for her!" He thinks. Then he flinches as he sees the shadow of a artiste emerging over the top of the canyon and gasps "You're amazing, it's already morning! The fact that you've managed to run away for this long is truly amazing! You have my praises" Yuya hears Selena's voice praising him, commenting. She walks up the top of the canyon with her Artiste, a purple feral monstrosity hovering behind her "But our game of hide and seek is over. Come out. Come with me back to the Professor" Selena tells him. Yuya slowly backs under the outcrop, and the Artiste swings its legs through the air, breaking off a piece of ice that lands next to Yuya. Startled, Yuya barely holds back a gasp, clapping his hand over his mouth. "I hope you'll come out soon…" Selena softly comments. Tears forming in his eyes "It's over! I can't get away!" Yuya thinks. "Help me, Yuzu!" He begs.
And then his bracelet begins to glow. "What's this?" Selena caught completely off-guard, asks before being warped away. "Huh? It shined again?!" Yuya realizes what's happened. "Don't tell Yuzu really is…?!" He wonders.
But it's Rin who rockets over the canyon on her D-Wheel. Their gazes meet "Yugo!" Rin yells. "Huh?" Yuya confuses. Rin lands, flicking her visor up "Yugo!" She yells again as she runs over to Yuya. "Great! I've missed you, Yugo!" Rin claims, hugs him tightly. "H-hold on! Yugo!?" Yuya completely caught off guard by being called Yugo, but then he remembers what Selena said to him.

"You're really just like Yuto and Yugo" Selena comments.
(Flashback ends)
"You know who Yugo is?" Yuya asks as he grabs Rin's head and forces it backwards. But when he sees that she too resembles Yuzu, he was shocked into silence. Up above, Satoru see Yuya and Rin (though he doesn't see Rin's face) "That's Yuya Sakaki! He's changing clothes and messing around with other women while seducing Darling!" He assumes. "Unforgivable!" Satoru calls it. "I'm going-" He prepares to give Yuya a piece of his mind, but the outcrop that he's standing on breaks, causing Satoru to slide down the hill, catapult into the air, and get stuck unconscious in a crevasse.
Back in the Jungle Area, "Hey, Yuzu!" Dennis runs up to Yuzu and Gongenzaka. "Dennis!" Yuzu calls out. "How are you doing?" Dennis asks them. "I just beat Yuya in a Duel!" He proudly explains. "With Yuya?!" Gongenzaka exclaims. "Where!?" Yuzu asks. "In the Volcano Area…why, what happened?" Dennis asks. "There aren't just 16 of us in this Battle Royale!" Gongenzaka explains. "You're saying there's someone else here?!" Dennis asks. "Yeah! It might sound unbelievable, but other Duelists from different dimensions have snuck in!" Yuzu explains. "Different dimensions? You can't be serious!" Dennis tells Yuzu. "It's the truth! There's also a friend of mine named Sora among them…" Yuzu states. "Sora…" Dennis mutters in interest. "Oh? You're friends with someone from a different dimension? Amazing!" He calls it. "I saw the Knights of Duels taken out by them with my very eyes!" Yuzu explains. "We can't use our communication in this field, so we can't get in touch with anyone" Gongenzaka explains.
(Flashback)
"That's why we decided to split up and search for everyone" Yuzu explains remembering separating from Michio and Teppei.

"Wow! This sounds like a big deal!" Dennis comments. "Yuya said he was going to the Iceberg Area" He claims. "Let's go look for him!" Dennis suggests.
In the Iceberg Area "You want to know who Yugo is?!" Rin asks Yuya in confusion. Yuya's bracelet suddenly glows again "What the?!" Rin surprises. "It's shining again!" Yuya gasps, and it warps Yuya, Rin and Rin's D-Wheel away. The cause, Yuzu, runs with Gongenzaka and Dennis to the top of the canyon "It's no good…It looks like Yuya…" Yuzu laments. "Isn't here…" Dennis finishes. "Maybe he went to a different area?" Yuzu wonders. "Looks like Selena safely finished her work then. Then all that's left is…." Dennis thinks to himself in satisfaction.
In the Ancient Ruins area, Kurosaki and Sora continue their Duel, both Duelists were heavily fatigued. Although Kurosaki has 2100 LP compared to Sora's 300 and two Raidraptor - Vanishing Lanius in Attack Position (ATK: 1300x2) and two Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius in Defense Position (DEF:1500x2) powering up his Raidraptor - Force Strix (ATK: 2100) while Sora only has Fluffal Mouse (ATK: 100) and Edge Imp Sabres (ATK: 1200). "My turn!" Sora declares and draws Polymerization. Grinning "Hey, do you think you've already won?" He asks Kurosaki. "You're naïve!" Sora calls him. "I activate Fluffal Mouse's effect!" He declares. "When I control this Attack Position monster, I can Special Summon two copies of "Fluffal Mouse" from my Deck!" Sora states (ATK: 100x2). "All right, let's do this! The fun has just begun!" He declares in a terrifying tone. "I fuse Edge Imp Sabres and my three copies of Fluffal Mouse!" Sora declares. "Demon claws, and sharp fangs! Become one in the mystic whirlpool and show your new power and form! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Mystical beast of the jungle who tears all to shreds! Frightfur Tiger!" He chants (ATK: 1900). "Next, I activate Frightfur Tiger's effect!" Sora declares. "I can destroy one of my opponent's monsters for each Fusion Material used in the card's Fusion Summon!" He explains. "What!?" Kurosaki gasps in horror. Since Sora used four Fusion Materials, he destroys four cards – all of Kurosaki's Vanishing Lanius and Fuzzy Lanius, the blades of Tiger extending and slicing the Raidraptors into pieces.
"And now, the last Force Strix's ATK returns to normal. Right?" Sora states. Kurosaki grits his teeth in panic (Strix's ATK: 100). Behind Kurosaki, Yuri runs up the stairs, stopping and gasping for breath. "Frightfur Tiger's ATK increase by 300 for each Frightfur monster I control!" Sora explains (Frightfur Tiger's ATK: 2200). "This is the end!" He yells. "Go, Battle! Frightfur Tiger, attack Force Strix!" Sora declares. "Send Kurosaki…this Xyz remnant to his grave!" He orders Tiger with demented shriek. "Kurosaki!?" Yuri gasps in shock, as Tiger grabs Force Strix and violently beheads it. The shockwave blasts Kurosaki off his feet and he yells in shock as he falls past the shocked Yuri, down the temple steps, and finally hits the ground, (Kurosaki's LP: 0) as Yuri looks on in horror.
