Hi everyone, Rosestar48 here! Today we'll have Reiji explains the true purpose of the Battle Royale and he and Yuzu are going to have their second Duel.
Lancers - The Chosen Warriors
"What do you mean the Battle Royale was a selection exam for deciding Duelist Warriors!?" Yuzu asks Reiji. "Answer me, Reiji Akaba!" She desperately tells him. "Did you know those guys from the Fusion Dimension were going to show up from the start?!" Yuzu asks. "Yes. I knew. That is why I changed the finals of the Junior Youth Class Championship…from a Tournament to a Battle Royale within this city" Reiji admits. "I intended to have you face and fend off the enemy invasion" He states. "Us!?" Yuzu shocked. "Why not the Pro or Youth Classes? Why us, the Junior Youth?" She asks. "The Youth Class was fighting too. They were all wiped out except for one guy" Sawatari grimly explains. "Wiped out?!" Gongenzaka asks. "That's why yours truly was assigned to come out here!" Sawatari states. "And as I had expected, you succeeded in fending off Academia. You are truly our anti-Academia Duel Warriors! You have shown the power worthy of the title Lancers!" Reiji declares. "Screw that!" Yuzu yells. "To the hell with your Lancers!" She exclaims.
(Flashback)
For something like that Michio and Teppei were…! And everyone else!" Yuzu exclaims as she remembers seeing Michio, Teppei,Hikage and the Knights of Duels being sealed into cards.

"Yuya too…!" Yuzu sadly whispers before beginning to cry. "Darling…" Satoru whispers and Yuri looks at Yuzu sadly.
"It's your fault everyone was… Yuya was…!"" Yuzu sobs. "It's not Reiji's fault" Yuri speaks up, and everyone looks at him. "If Yuya was defeated by Academia, then the fault is mine" Yuri claims. "What do you mean it was your fault? And before that, who are you?" Gongenzaka asks Yuri. "I am Yuri" Yuri introduces himself. "A Duelist from Academia" He explains. "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Academia!? Then doesn't that mean you're the enemy?!" Sawatari, suspicious of Yuri, asks. "Ah jeez, you went and said it yourself. I was thinking of bringing you back to Academia myself, but…Now that doesn't look like it'll be possible" Dennis sadly laments to himself. "Why is the enemy here with us?! And in Yuya Sakaki's outfit as well! Are you a spy?! Are you gathering information while pretending to be Yuya!?" Sawatari asks. "That's it, that's got to be it!" He decides. Tsukikage steps in front of Yuri "Hey! Why are you getting in my way!? You bastard! Are you going to protect the enemy!" Sawatari angrily asks him. "This is by orders of my client" Tsukikage stiffly replies. "Huh?! Who's this client you're talking about!" Sawatari asks him. "Yuri is not a spy. He is being chased by Academia" Reiji declares. "That's right" Yuri confirms it. "The Obelisk Force came here chasing after me" He explains. "I'm sure that Yuya was mistaken for me and was…" Yuri said. "Mistaken for you!?" Gongenzaka asks. "Why did you even change clothes!?" Satoru asks "That was…in order for me to meet with Kurosaki" Yuri explains as Tsukikage steps aside. "What?!" Yuzu asks. Everyone looks at Kurosaki "Yuya told me to go meet Kurosaki and asks him in person exactly what happened in the Xyz Dimension. That's why he went out as bait! In order to draw the Obelisk Force away from me!" Yuri explains. "You can't be…" Yuzu gasps, and grits her teeth. Kurosaki closed his eyes. "I see…So that's what it was" Reiji muses. He adjusts his glasses "You all won and survived. What we need right now is that strength!" Reiji states. Yuzu begins clenching her fists "Instead of mourning those who were defeated, You should take pride that you have overcome such strong Duelists!" Reiji claims. "Shut up! Screw your pride!" Yuzu yells at Reiji. "If you hadn't has us fight…! Yuya…" She mutters, cuts off her sentence. "Give everyone back!" Yuzu yells at Reiji, launching a punch. Reiji catches the younger girl's fist with ease "If you call yourself a Duelist, express your anger not through your fist, but through your Duels!" He tells Yuzu. He throws Yuzu backwards "I will! In place of Yuya and everyone else…! I'll make you grovel before me!" Yuzu replies. Adjust his glasses "Fine with me. If I lose, I'll repent until you're satisfied" Reiji replies.
In the Leo Corporation observation room, Himika and Reira, the latter holding his Youth League trophy, ascend on the lift to where Nakajima was waiting. When she sees Reiji on the main screen, Himika runs forward "Why?! Why is Reiji there?!" She asks. "You are all not aware of your true mission yet. Or why I decided to create the Lancers. And that is to save our home world from the tragedy that befell the Xyz Dimension" Reiji explains. Raising his hand "Action Field: On! Neo Heartland City: Activate!" He declares. Heartland City materializes around the assembled group. Kurosak grits his teeth. "Heartland! From the Xyz Dimension…!" Yuri recognizes it first. "That's right. My…Our…" Kurosaki confirms it. Yuzu gasp "Homeland!" Kurosaki yells. Yuzu gasp and hangs her head "Kurosaki. Accept Yuya Sakaki's wish and tell us. Just what happened in Heartland" Reiji tells Kurosaki. But Kurosaki closes his eyes and tightens his mouth, refusing to answer "It seems I've stirred up some indescribable disgrace. Then I will say it" Reiji muses. "In the midst of the Battle Royale, Academia attacked you, and they did the same to…" He explains. "Stop!" Yuzu interrupts, begging Reiji. "Please stop…" He begs Reiji as she hugs herself and walks forwards "Darling!" Satoru cries. "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka cries. "Before they came here…" Reiji explains. "Stop it!" Yuzu plea. "They had already finished with the Xyz Dimension…" Reiji continues to explains. "Stop it!" Yuzu yells. "I won't let you say another word!" She with Ruri speaks alongside her, yells. "I'll beat you right now and make you repent!" Yuzu declares. "DUEL!" Both of them yells.
"I using the Scale 4 Beste the Melodious Enchantress and the Scale 9 Symphonia the Melodious Sorceress, set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu declares. "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 5 to 8!" She states. "Swing, Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! Arial the Melodious Sorceress! (DEF: 2400) And Stanza the Melodious Cavalier!" Yuzu chants (DEF: 2300). "A Pendulum Summon right out of the gates?" Dennis surprised. "Yuzu is really into it!" He comments. "With this, I end my turn" Yuzu states. Kurosaki turns to Yuri "What did you hear from Yuya Sakaki? What would a person from Academia want to know?" He asks. Yuri doesn't reply.
"My turn. Draw!" Reiji declares and draws D/D Berfomet. "With the effect of the D/D Swirl Slime in my hand, I am able to Fuse it with the D/D Berfomet" He explains. "Arcane swirl that takes on all forms! Engulf the grotesque god and give birth to a new King! Fusion Summon! Be born! D/D/D Flame King Genghis!" Reiji chants (ATK: 2000). "Genghis…The Fusion Monster he used the last time they fought!" Gongenzaka recognizes the Fusion Monster. "Darling has fought Reiji Akaba before this?" Satoru surprises, asks. "She has. At You Show Duel School" Gongenzaka confirms. "And who won that time?" Dennis asks. "The match was interrupted before it could end. But had the Duel played out…" Gongenzaka explains.
"Additionally, I Summon the Tuner Monster D/D Nighthowl from my hand!"Reiji declares. Nighthowl appears and screeches (ATK: 300). Satoru gasps in shock. "A Tuner Monster?!" Dennis shocked. "That's right. Reiji doesn't use only Fusion Summoning!" Gongenzaka confirms. "When this card is successfully Summoned, I am able to Special Summoned one "D/D" monster from my Graveyard and make its ATK 0!" Reiji explains. "Be reborn, D/D Berfomet!" He declare as a purple energy forms in Nighthowl's maw and it releases D/D Berfomet (ATK: 0). "I Tune my Level 4 D/D Berfomet with my Level 3 D/D Nighthowl!" Reiji declares. "Roar that slices the darkness…Gain the speed of a whirlwind and become a new king's cry! Synchro Summon! Be Born! Level 7! D/D/D Gust King Alexander!" He chants (ATK: 2500). "Wow! Even Synchro Summoning…!" Dennis shocked. "D/D/D Flame King Genghis' effect: When another "D/D" monster is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon a "D/D" monster from my Graveyard!" Reiji states. "Be reborn! D/D Swirl Slime!" He declares (ATK: 200). "Additionally, I activate Gust King Alexander's effect!" Reiji declares. The winds surrounding Alexander intensify "When another "D/D" monster is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower "D/D" monster from my Graveyard!" He explains. "Be reborn again! D/D Berfomet!" Reiji declares (ATK: 1400). "I double D/D Swirl Slime's Level with D/D Berfomet's effect!" He declares (Swirl Slime's LV: 1). "With this, he has two Level 4 monsters" Gongenzaka observes. Realizing what Gongenzaka was implying "Don't tell me he can use more that Fusion and Synchro…!" Dennis gasps. "I Overlay my Level 4 D/D Berfomet and Swirl Slime!" Reiji declares. Dennis and Satoru gasps. "In order to subjugate all the resides with this world…descend now into the peak of the universe! Xyz Summon! Be born! Rank 4! Wave King Caesar!" Reiji chants (ATK: 2400). Dennis swallows "Fusion…Synchro…And Xyz too!" He shocked. "Wait, you're from LDS and you didn't know that much?" Sawatari asks Dennis. "Reiji Akaba is famous for mastering three different Summoning methods!" He explains. "You knew?" Dennis asks Sawatari. "Well, this is my first time seeing it" Sawatari admits. "It's not just three!" Yuzu states. "Huh?" Satoru, Dennis and Sawatari said. "Reiji Akaba can use Pendulum as well!" Yuzu explains. "Well even I know that much!" Sawatari crossly states. "And most likely…what lies beyond that!" Yuzu explains. "Beyond?" Sawatari confuses.
As Reiji and Yuzu stare one another down "You came here to fight me?" Kurosaki asks Yuri. "That's right" Yuri confirms. "If I could defeat the Xyz remnants in Standard…I thought I would be able to prove my abilities to the Professor, Leo Akaba, who hadn't sent me to the front lines! That was what drove me to come to this dimension. But…I believe that Academia's fight to unite the dimension is justice. And I was proud to be able to fight for that cause. But Yuya told me my comrades who went to the Xyz Dimension did not act as if they were preserving justice. Instead, they acted as if it was a hunting game, smiling and laughing as they attacked people!" He explains. "Is that the truth?! What Yuya told me…!" Yuri desperately asks Kurosaki. "It is" Kurosaki replies. "They continued to hunt defenceless people as if it were a game!" He explains as he remembers the attack. Yuri listens in shocked.
"Battle! I attack the Defense Position Arial the Melodious Sorceress with D/D/D Gust King Alexander!" Reiji declares. Alexander swings its blade, sending a blade of wind at Arial and knocking her into a cylindrical building. The building begins to fall as Arial disintegrates. "I also attack the Defense Position Stanza the Melodious Cavalier with D/D/D Wave King Caesar!" Reiji declares. Caesar swings its massive greatsword, sending a surge of water through the ground that blasts Stanza off the plaza where they are Duelling, leaving a trail of flames in its wake. "Then, I attack directly with D/D/D Flame King Genghis!" Reiji declares and Genghis charges, swinging its broadsword. Yuzu was blasted off her feet and down the stairs leading to the plaza (Yuzu's LP: 2000). The sight of the flames brings back painful memories for Kurosaki "Ancient Gear Knights" and "Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds" attacking Heartland under the command of red jacketed Academia students who laugh monstrously with glowing red eyes. "Even now their faces and laughter are carved into my eyes and ears…I will never be able to forget it!" Kurosaki explains to a horrified Yuri as Tsukikage watches. In the Leo Corporation observation room "As expected of Reiji. Now his opponent has an empty field! And he even took out half of the opponent's LP in one blow" Himika proudly claims. "I set one card and end my turn" Reiji states. "I suspect that everything that has happened so far is just as you expected" He comments at Yuzu, who struggles up the stairs. Himika was shocked "From here on is the real deal…" You're thinking that, aren't you?" Reiji quotes. "You've already found what lies beyond Pendulum Summoning!" He comments. "Now, use that on me! That new power you have acquired" Reiji tells Yuzu. "You see though everything, don't you? As expected of a prodigy Duellist" Yuzu comments as she climbs the last step. "Reiji Akaba! Did you foresee the outcome of the Battle Royale with that brain of yours too? How many would fall, how many would survive…Are you satisfied that it ended just as you had expected?" She asks. Reiji doesn't respond "We are not your puppets!" Yuzu yells.
"Michio and Teppei…Everyone who was turned into cards…They were all humans with their own hearts! Even Yuya…!" Yuzu remembers. Satoru closes his eyes "Darling…" He sadly whispers. "Yuya was…always by my side and encouraging me! When I would be mocked for Uncle and bullied, he was always there for me. Because Yuya was there, I…! The reason I found what was beyond Pendulum was because I saw Yuya trying his hardest to become stronger! That's why I also…!" Yuzu sadly explains. "My turn!" She declares and she draws Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra "With the already set Beste and Symphonia, Pendulum Summon! Be reborn from the Extra Deck! Arial the Melodious Sorceress! (ATK: 1200) and Stanza the Melodious Cavalier! (ATK: 1900) Finally from my hand, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares (ATK: 2600). "I activate Stanza's effect!" She declares. "When this card is used as Fusion Material, I can Fusion Summon without a "Fusion" Spell Card! But Stanza is banished!" Yuzu explains. Stanza raises and then fragments the circlet over the tip of her staff, releasing several sparkles "The monster I will fuse Stanza with is… Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu declares. "Radiant singing artist, become one with the mistral protector and give birth to a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth, passionate artiste with exquisite sounds! Lace the Melodious Pendulum Warrior!" Yuzu chants (ATK: 3000). "That's the Fusion Artiste that made its first appearance in her Duel with me!" Gongenzaka excited. "I activate Arial the Melodious Sorceress' monster effect!" Yuzu declares. "When a Pendulum Monster leaves the field, I can Special Summon it!" She explains. "Return, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu calls out (ATK: 2600). "Then, I activate Beste the Melodious Enchantress' Pendulum Effect!" She declares. "Once per turn, I can use monsters on my Field as materials to perform a Fusion Summon!" Yuzu explains. "The monsters I choose to fuse are Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra and Arial the Melodious Sorceress!" She declares as Beste releases her musical symbols, causing Mozarta and Arial glow and lift into the air. "Wielder of mysterious vocals, become a dazzling melody in the eyes of the artiste! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Arcane artiste of ancient magic! Musia the Melodious Pendulum Mystic!" Yuzu chants (ATK: 3000). "This time it's the Fusion Artiste she used during our Duel!" Satoru gasps. "Lace and Musia are both monsters I was able to call upon thanks to the hint I got from Yuya!" Yuzu explains. "From wanting to defeat LDS and being taught by Sora" She recounts.
(Flashback)
"Training? Here with Yuya?" Yuzu asks. "Yeah, Yuya said next time for sure…" Sora says, but stops when he sees Yuya stare at his bracelet. "Wait did you want to keep that you were learning Fusion from me a secret from Yuzu too?" Sora wonders. "Yuya learning Fusion!?" Yuzu surprised.

Yuzu grits her teeth at the memory of Yuya.
"Oh? From Sora Shiunin?" Reiji asks. "While I did not that specifically, to think he'd learn from a Duelist from Academia…" He comments. "You knew?! That Sora was from Academia?!" Yuzu shocked. "Yes. His Fusion Summoning energy was on a different level from those of LDS" Reiji explains. "I see...So that in turn affected you, giving you the power to call upon a new artiste!" He muses. "Sora's power went from Yuya to me?!" Yuzu shocked. "Are you saying that by being able to call out Lace the Melodious Pendulum Warrior and Musia the Melodious Pendulum Mystic is from Academia's power?!" She asks Reiji. "It's just a single hypothesis, it hasn't been proven yet" Reiji replies. "I was moved by Yuya's feelings to become stronger on order to defeat LDS…That's why I also will…beat you, no matter what!" Yuzu states. "When Musia the Melodious Pendulum Mystic has used Arial the Melodious Sorceress as its Fusion Material, It can attack three times!" She explains. A triangle of energy attaches itself to the points in the ring on Musia's back "Go, Battle! Musia! Attack, Flame King Genghis, Gust King Alexander and Wave King Caesar!" Yuzu tells her. "Eternal Luminous Stream!" She declares and Musia blasted Caesar first, destroying it (Reiji's LP: 3400), next was Genghis (Reiji's LP: 2400) and finally Alexander (Reiji's LP: 1900).
"Then your friend was really kidnapped…" Yuri gasps. "It is the truth" Kurosaki confirms. "But…Why do you look so much like Yuto?" He asks Yuri, and Yuri finds himself unable to answer.
"This is the end! Get him, Lace! Melancholy Thrust Rupture!" Yuzu declares. Lace launches a wave of flames "Reiji's LP is 1900!" Satoru observes. "If he takes an attack from the 3000 ATK Lace the Melodious Pendulum Warrior…! It's over!" Gongenzaka observes. Even Reiji seems to be shocked as the attack hits and he vanishes behind a cloud of smoke. Everyone believes that Yuzu had won, but Reiji steps out from the smoke cloud. Satoru gasps in shocked. "What?!" Gongenzaka gasps. "I activated the Trap Card that I had set… D/D/D Contract Change" Reiji states. Yuzu grits her teeth.
(Flashback)
"By banishing the"D/D/D" monster with the highest ATK in my Graveyard, I negate any battle damage dealt to me" Reiji explains as he banishes Alexander and Lace's attack was absorbed into the Trap Card (Reiji's LP: 1900).

"No way…" Satoru gasps. "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka whispers. "Damn it!" Yuzu cursed. "And…I can add one Level 4 or lower "D/D" pendulum monster from my Deck to my hand" Reiji explains and he adds D/D Savant Kepler to his hand. "I have come to understand that the reason that you found the path from Pendulum to Fusion…was because of your strong feelings towards Yuya Sakaki. But! If you evolve only through strong emotions you cannot win at Duelling!" Reiji explains. Yuzu was shocked "The Lancers are a squad made to fight Academia in real combat! Remember that such unstable emotions can be fatal in a real battle" Reiji explains. "I don't intend to be a part of your Lancers!" Yuzu retorts. "You don't want to save Yuya Sakaki?" Reiji asks. Everyone gasps in shock "What?!" Gongenzaka gasps. "Yuya…Are you saying he's still alive!?" Yuzu asks Reiji. "Do you mean he was captured by the Obelisk Force?! Are you saying that you saw that!?" Yuri asks Reiji. "Huh?!" Dennis panics. "Don't tell me he saw Selena abducting him…?" He wonders. "Then that means my identity is also…!" Dennis ruefully thinks. "Now the, end your turn. Next is my turn to show you my true strength" Reiji urges Yuzu. Yuzu's lip trembles in anger "If you want to defeat Academia and save Yuya Sakaki, you must overcome me first!" Reiji tells Yuzu. Yuzu looks up angrily at Reiji and they stare one another down.
