Hi everyone Rosestar48 here! Today we'll be finishing the Duel against Yuzu and Shuzo and the Lancers leaves the Standard.
"Smile World" - A Duel Filled With Smiles
"The Miami Championship was canceled due to Academia invasion. And even the audience, who couldn't believe there were invaders from another dimension…were impressed by our battles on video…and praised us as heroes. But I couldn't even protect Yuya, so…" Yuzu recaps. "I'll become even stronger than before! And take out our enemies! I'll definitely get back Yuya!" Yuzu swears. Shuzo appears on his Motorcycle inside the abandon arcade "Then, Dad challenged me to a Duel all of a sudden!" Yuzu recaps
(Flashback)
"Deciding who is right or wrong in a dispute…Don't use Dueling for something like that!" The man reasons with the gang. "Then what should we do?! Are you saying I should abandon my friends?!" Shuzo asks. "If you're going to Duel, then…Have more fun with it!" The man says.
"I activate Smile World!" The suited man declares. Smiling faces radiate from the card. Shuzo and his teammate looked at the suited man, mesmerises. "And the one who appeared then, the man who saved my accomplice…Yusho Sakaki. That's right. Yuya's father" Shuzo explains.
"He suddenly interrupted out Duel, and saved my accomplice in a blink of an eye" Shuzo remembers Yusho swooping down and swipes Shuzo's teammate from an opposing gang member's grasp. He and his companion start to laugh. Yusho deposits Shuzo's teammate next to him. "And that's how he easily ended the fight without hurting anyone, I was stunned…" Shuzo states.
(Flashback ends)
"…and my spirit was taken" Shuzo states as Yuzu looks at her dad.
Satoru was hearing Shuzo's story from outside "Wait, so it's just a friendship story!? He Dueled her to tell her this?" He wonders. As Ayu, Futoshi and Tatsuya appear visibly underwhelmed "I thought this guy was ridiculous at first! I always thought Duels were tools for conflict. Then he goes and says…that they're to make people happy!" Shuzo explains.
(Flashback)
"Duels can make people happy! They can make everyone happy! Duels are a bridge to connect people together!" Yusho declares as he grabs his monster and flies around. "I believe that!" He states. The gangsters, their victim and Shuzo all reacted with awe at Yusho's exit, as the sprinkles formed a bright rainbow in the night sky. "Amazing! I've never seen this before!" Shuzo said and a rainbow was formed.
(Flashback ends)
"That meeting is what prompted me to graduate from the Males…and I decide to live my life as an Entertainments Duelist" Shuzo states. "It is a friendship story! What is the point of all this?!" Satoru not pleased at hearing the back story. "Around that time, Pro Dueling was changing…as Leo Corporation's Real Solid Vision begun to spread in popularity. Simply put, it was the dawn of Action Duels! Even if they were called "Action," at first, it was just a matter of clashing powerful monsters against each other like roosters in a ring" Shuzo explains. "And from there, well, Yoko has already told you the rest, hasn't she?" He was aware what Yoko told his daughter. "Yeah…" Yuzu confirms.
(Flashback)
"Yusho Sakaki brought thrills and speed to Action Dueling. The door to a new world won't open unless someone with courage pushes it! And now, Yuzu! You've open a new door called Pendulum!" Yoko tells Yuzu.
(Flashback ends)
"Just like Uncle advanced Action Dueling…As the one who opened the door to Pendulum…I have to set an example to the people who will follow after me." Yuzu realizes. "Auntie told me that while she Dueled me. She pushed me forward" She states as she looks at Yoko.
"So? Are you actually doing that?" Shuzo wonders. "Huh?" Yuzu asks. "I'm asking if you've set an example or not!" Shuzo states. "An example…?" Yuzu asks. "I..I've…"She hesitates. "I've…?" Shuzo repeats. "I don't know if I've set an example or not, but…" Yuzu said. "But?" Shuzo asks. "I've worked hard in my own way! After I saw Yuya working hard to become stronger…I also found out what lies beyond Pendulum!" Yuzu states. "And then?" Shuzo asks. "I found it! Pendulum Fusion and Pendulum Xyz!" Yuzu states. "And then?" Shuzo asks again. "Wha?" Yuzu confused. "I'm asking what you're going to do now that you've found what's beyond Pendulum and gotten stronger!" Shuzo explains. "That's obvious! I'm going to save Yuya!" Yuzu replies. Shuzo became speechless. Yuzu…" Yoko whispers. "But…I'm not strong enough as I am now! I have to get stronger…Even stronger than I am right now! And then I'll definitely…I'll definitely save…I will save Yuya!" Yuzu swears. "Darling…" Satoru whispers. "Sheesh, you really are just like me." Shuzo's father smiles, said. "Huh?" Yuzu confuses. "You're straight-forward and don't cut any corners, to the point that you get tunnel vision. Saving your friends, even if it means wiping out the entire team…You're saying the same thing the Males' Leader, Shuzo the Meteor Burst, would say." Shuzo states. "But you know, you're also Yusho Sakaki's student. Your feeling of wanting to save Yuya are precious. And that is something you need to accomplish…And that's because to Yoko, Yuya is an irreplaceable treasure" He reminds Yuzu. At that point, memories of Yuya's past, from birth to early childhood, including when You Show Duel School was inaugurated, flash across Yoko's mind. Even the recent past where Yuya slaps his mother with a fan and Yuya's smiling face becomes too much for Yoko to bear "Yuya!" She cries. "Yuya…" Ayu cries. Futoshi starts to cry. "Why…?" Tatsuya cries. Yuzu starts to tear up as well. "We're all praying for Yuya's safety, just like you. The will to save Yuya is shared by everyone here" Shuzo explains.
"Just like Uncle did…my enemies and my friends…" Yuzu starts to remember what Yusho said. "That's right, you'll make Sora smile as well!" Shuzo says. Yuzu gasps. "You'll be fine. As long as you still think of Sora as your friend, you definitely can do it. And not just Sora, you'll be able to make everyone smile! Because you are Yusho Sakaki's student after all!" Shuzo reassures Yuzu. Yuzu was speechless. "Sorry for the drawn-out story" Shuzo apologizes. "I end my turn here" He states. "At this moment, Smile World's effect end, And all of the affected monsters' ATK are return to normal" Shuzo points out (Mandoilena's ATK: 100) (Allegra's ATK: 100) (Inferno Blaze's ATK: 2000). "At the same time Guts Master-Inferno Blaze's effect ends… Allegra and Mandoilena are freed and return to my opponent's field. And their ATK also returns to normal" He adds (Mandoilena's ATK: 1700) (Allegra's ATK: 1200). But before Yuzu can start her turn "Now then, why don't you tell me again…Now that you've discover what lies beyond Pendulum and become stronger, what will you do?" Shuzo asks. "I…I…!" Yuzu hesitates, as memories of Yusho, Sora and Yuya flash across. "My turn, draw!" She proceeds with the duel by drawing a card. Yuzu imagines the spotlight on her "Ladies and Gentlemen!" Yuzu professionally declares. "Yahoo!" Futoshi cheers. "Yuzu's-!" Ayu cheers. "Entertainment Duelling!" Tatsuya cheers. "Shivers!" Futoshio cheers. "Hold on! It's too early for those shivers!" Yuzu tells Futoshi. "The fun has just begun!" She declares. The You Show Youths join in on the catchphrase, and both Shuzo and Yoko look on with delight. "I'm having fun too!" Satoru squeals with delight.
With her confidence restored "Everyone, pardon the long wait!" Yuzu apologizes, and, while standing on an illusory tiger's head "I now present to you reenacttment of You Show Duel School's Yusho Sakaki's Entertainment Dueling!" She declares. "We've been waiting for this!" Yoko cheers. "Our opening act will be from when I first opened that door, a Pendulum Summon!" Yuzu states. "I, using the Scale 1 Arial the Melodious Diva and the Scale 9 Dulcet the Melodious Diva, Set the Pendulum Scale!" She declares. "With this I can now simultaneously Summon multiple monsters from Level 2 to 8!" Yuzu states. "Swing, Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the either! Pendulum Summon! Come forth! With your stunning and radiant singing voice, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" She chants (ATK: 2600). "What's next?!" Futoshi wonders. "Pendulum Fusion?" Tatsuya wonders. "Pendulum Xyz?" Ayu wonders. "Hurry up with it!" Futoshi excited. "Yeah! Yeah!" Tatsuya and Ayu agrees. "Oh, I see, I see…" Yuzu agrees. "Considering how things have gone lately, you would assume those would assume those would come next but…Today, in honor of the miraculous meeting between the Males' Leader, Shuzo the Meteor Burst, and my teacher, Yusho Sakaki, I shall paint a rainbow across this wharf's night sky!" She said. "I activate Enchanting Heaven Mirror from my hand!" Yuzu declares. "I can target a Spell Card in my opponent's Graveyard that was activated last turn, and activates its effect!" She explains. "I activate Smile World in my opponent's Graveyard!" Yuzu declares. Yoko and the You Show youths are awed "Shivers!" Futoshi exited. "Darling!" Satoru said in awe. "Smile World's effect increases the ATK of all monsters by 100 for each monster on the field!" Yuzu explains (Mandoilena's ATK: 2100) (Allegra's ATK: 1600) (Mozarta's ATK: 3000) (Inferno Blaze's ATK: 2400). "They're smiling!" Tatsuya exclaims. "Mozarta and Inferno Blaze too!" Ayu notes. "This is the effect of Smile World!" Yoko explains. "With everyone smiling…I'm filled with shivers!" Futoshi said.
With Shuzo's confidence in her restored as well "Now then it's time for the climax! Please enjoy this grand finale!" Yuzu announces. "Battle! I attack Guts Master-Inferno Blaze with Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra! Graceful Assault Wave!" She declares. The residual damage hits Shuzo. "When Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra battles a Level 5 or higher monster, battle damage is doubled!" Yuzu explains. "Reaction Echo!" Yuzu declares. Shuzo lands on his feet and he takes Mozarta's effect, and Shuzo falls on his bottom (Shuzo's LP: 2800). "Next up, a direct attack with Mandoilena the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu declares , and it does so by blowing bubbles on Shuzo. One pops on his face, and he drops to the floor (Shuzo's LP: 700). "Dad!" Yuzu addresses her father, who gets back up "It's not Dad! Right now, I', Shuzo the Meteor Burst!" Shuzo claims. "As the Legendary Males' leader, I'll take your final attack!" He proudly claims. "Bring in on!" He exclaims. "All right! It's the finisher! Go, Allegra the Melodious Diva! Attack the Males' Leader directly!" Yuzu declares. The glove-on-a-baton from Allegra the Melodious Diva directly strikes Shuzo on the face, knocking him down (Shuzo's LP: 0).
Yuzu hops down from the illusions as the Action Field dissipates, and she finds herself back in the arcade setting. Shuzo, still flat on his back, was laughing "It's been awhile, but Dueling really is fun!" He states. "Dad!" Yuzu calls out as she quickly tends to her father. "Shuzo the Meteor Burst!" Yoko exclaims as she and the You Show youths join up by Shuzo. Shuzo gets up to a sitting position and hold up a card to Yuzu. "Take this as your farewell gift" Shuzo said as he entrusts his daughter with the Smile World card. "Smile World…This is a memento for you and Uncle…" Yuzu said. "He told me to pass it to you eventually. When you really needed this card" Shuzo explains. "I'm certain that now is that time" He states. Yuzu gasps. "Listen, no matter where you go, don't forget to smile" Shuzo reminds his daughter. "And if you ever do, take that card and think about today and Yusho!" He tells Yuzu. "Dad…" Yuzu whispers. "And whatever it is you have to do…I'm sure you can save Yuya and end the conflict! I believe that" Shuzo believes. "I believe in you to, Yuzu!" Yoko believes. "Me too!" Futoshi said. "Me too!" Tatsuya said. "I do too!" Ayu said. "Auntie…everyone…" Yuzu gasps. At that point, Satoru enters the arcade building "Everyone's wish will be grated. That is what my fortune telling say to me" He states. "That's why you should believe in yourself, Yuzu Hiragi the Duelist" Satoru tells her. "Satoru…" Yuzu whispers. Having seen everyone's smiles "I'll believe! I'll believe in the Entertainment Dueling I've inherited from Uncle! I'll make everyone smile with my Duels and get Yuya back! And I'll come back to You Show Duel School, where everyone is waiting!" Yuzu tells them.
The next day, Yuzu and Gongenzaka were being led by Nakajima to a meeting room at the Leo Corporation headquarters. "Gongenzaka…your face…" Yuzu notes Gongenzaka's bruised face covered with plasters. "I had a serious match with my father in order to prove my determination" Gongenzaka said. Yuzu chuckles. When they arrive "You're late, Yuzu Hiragi! You're 100,000 years too early to make me wait!" Sawatari chastises them. "When you put it that way, you can't tell if she's late or early…" Dennis said. "Shut up! Don't pick at it!" Sawatari tells Dennis. Yuzu looks at Yuri. "It seems you're all here" Reiji quells the escalation by drawing the attendees' attention as he walks down a spiral staircase. "So our President shows up last, then?" Sawatari comments.
"All seven of the Lancer are present and accounted for, Captain!" Dennis reports as he strikes a "Yes, sir!" pose. "It's not seven" Reiji states. "Oh pardon me, including you, Captain, that would make eight!" Dennis apologies. "Make it nine" Reiji states. Yuzu wonders what Reiji meant by that. "Reira will be going as well" Reiji reveals. "We aren't going to play around! You're bringing that child to fight Academia? He'll just be a burden!" Kurosaki disgusted. "Reira's abilities are comparable to all of yours. He will not be a burden" Reiji suggests. "Comparable to us?!" Sawatari exclaims. "Oh? If Captain believes so much in you, you must be amazing!" Dennis states. "How old are you?" He asks Reira. "It's obvious he's an elementary schooler! I don't believe that there are any Junior Class Duelists with the same abilities as us of the Sawatari Generation with our Pendulum Summoning" Sawatari refuses to believe as Reira turns away. "Who are you calling "Sawatari Generation"? Yuzu was the first one to discover Pendulum Summoning!" Gongenzaka corrects him. "Don't try and make it like it was you!" He said. "Anyways, I won't accept this! You plan to invade Academia with that child?!" Kurosaki said.
"We aren't going to Academia" Reiji states. "What?!" Kurosaki surprised, as well as the rest of the Lancers gasps. "Our destination is the Synchro Dimension" Reiji announces. "Synchro Dimension!? Not Fusion!? Why!?" Kurosaki asks. "The Synchro Dimension has yet to be engulfed in the wave of interdimensional conflict. There, we will gather comrades and strengthen our bonds with them" Reiji explains. "Our main objective is to form an alliance to fight Fusion Dimension" He states. "An alliance?!" Gongenzaka repeats. "We don't have the time for such luxuries! We have to break into Fusion Dimension and crush Academia as soon as possible! Isn't that what the Lancers are for?!" Kurosaki displays his crass impatience at this point, believes.
"I will not pick a fight I cannot win" Reiji states. "What?!" Kurosaki annoyed. "In order to win, there is a certain amount of preparation required. If we invaded Academia in our current states, we would have no chance of victory" Reiji explains. "It was a mistake at ally with you! I'll go into Academia alone and save Yuto!" Kurosaki decides. "Going alone is impossible" Yuri stops Kurosaki. "Academia gathers Duelists all over the Fusion Dimension, and with intensives education, and they create fearsome Duelist Warriors who able to battle on real combat every day" He states. "What could you possibly do alone?" Yuri inquires. "I agree with Reiji's plan. Right now, we should build up our strength and make preparation in order to win!" He states. "Don't worry, the Professor won't bring any harm to Yuto" Yuri reassures Kurosaki. "I can tell by how the Professor treated me…Yuto and I look alike, don't we? And Yuya as well…" He remembers. This catches Yuzu's attention. "The Professor, for some reason, is collecting boys who look like me. The reason Yuto was captured, and why I was almost taken back, is because of the Professor's orders. It is most likely the same for Yuya" Yuri known. Dennis winces at this. "I don't know what he plans to do by gathering all of us…But it seems that we are precious things to him. That's why I'm certain the Yuto is being well cared for" Yuri states.
"What about Yuya?! He wouldn't do anything to Yuya, would he?!" Yuzu asks Yuri. "Yuya is not with Academia" Yuri replies. "Huh?!" Yuzu gasps. "Isn't that right, Reiji?" Yuri asks. "It seems he saw it…That Yuya disappeared along with the Synchro Dimension Duelist" He states. "Huh?!" Dennis shock to the point of covering his mouth. "What? Synchro? I thought Selena had taken Yuya!" He thinks. "Is that true?! Is Yuya really in the Synchro Dimension!?" Yuzu asks. "It is true. He disappeared with the Duelist from the Synchro Dimension. And that Duelist also took out the so-called Obelisk Force, Academia's Duel Warriors. At that time I was convinced that Synchro Dimension could become our allies" Reiji explains. "Yuya is surely in the Synchro Dimension" Yuri suspects. "Yuya is my savior. I wouldn't let Academia get thoer hands on him!" He promises Yuzu, who he shares his determination to save Yuya. Yuzu grunts. "In order to save Yuto, we need to form an alliance with the Synchro Dimension!" Yuri addresses Kurosaki. "I still have my doubts, though…" Kurosaki said as he turns to look at Yuri, who nods. Reiji adjust his glasses.
The Lancers were given new Duel Disks "This is a newly designed device: a Duel Disk that allows travel between dimensions. It was made from a reference to one from the Xyz Dimension" Reiji explains. "The Xyz Dimension?! Ruri's Disk?!" Kurosaki exclaims. "You bastard, you said Ruri entrusted that card with you, didn't she? But you actually took it by force along with her Duel Disk!" He snaps at Yuzu. "Huh?" Yuzu confused. "Explains yourself!" Kurosaki demands. "Believe in her" Kurosaki hears Ruri's voice inside of Yuzu. "Yuzu is a comrade that I trust. We would never do anything that would betray others" Ruri tells Kurosaki. "Ruri!" Kurosaki gasps. "What wrong?" Yuzu, noticing Kurosaki's strange glare, asks. "Nothing…" Kuro said. "Allow me to continue…" Reiji said. "This Disk has the ability to activate an Action Field. Kurosaki and Yuri's Disk have the same functionality added as well" He explains. "Pendulum Summoning and Action Cards are our greatest weapons. I have made it so you can use those freely" Reiji said. "Now then, please prepare the card I gave out to all of you" He asks them. "This has Synchro Dimension's coordinates encoded into it" Reiji states. "Put it into your Disk and activate it on my signal" He orders. Yuzu inserted the card into her Duel Disk and the screen starts to glow
Meanwhile, Yoko, Shuzo and the You Show Youths look out over the river in front of their school. "I wonder if they've already left?" Futoshi wonders. "We could've at least sent them off…" Ayu said. "But I'm sure our feelings have definitely reached her" Yoko says. "That would be nice. And if mine would as well…" Nico said as he enters. "Nico Smiley!" Futoshi exclaims. "Yuzu was my dream…I wanted to raise her to be an elite Duelist and see her stand at the top of the world! But, I also believe in her. That she will eventually come back to us" Nico states. "She will, she promised after all!" Tatsuya says. "Yuzu would never break her promise!" Ayu agrees. "And then, she'll make everyone shiver again!" Futoshi said. "Yeah, that's right! Until that day comes we have to do our best!" Shuzo promised. "Yuzu, do your best too! Burning! Hot-bloodied!" He yells out.
"Now, then let us depart!" Activate Dimension Mover towards the Synchro Dimension!" Reiji finally gives the signal. All nine Lancers vanish in light. Yoko, Shuzo, Nico and the You Show Youths see a trail in the sky.
