Public Safety Coercion - The Duel Chasers
"During the Junior Youth Championship Battle Royale I was sent to another dimension. And in that world where Yuzu and the other weren't…" Yuya recaps. In Security, "The fleeing D-Wheel is currently on the 8th lane, and is being pursued by Duel Chaser No. 227" One of the technicians explains. "The named D-Wheel does not appear to be complying with the orders to halt" She explains. "Requesting to resort to brute force" The technician requested. The Director of Security moves a white pawn forwards on a chessboard "You're authorized to force a Duel" He grants them permission. "Immediately capture those who would not listen to the orders of Security" The Director orders. "Field Spell: Speed World Neo, Set On!" The Duel Chaser declares. "Duel Mode On! Autopilot: Standby" His D-Wheel declares and a purple pulse of light spreads across the sky. Hexagonal pillars emerge from the ground "It's a Duel!" A Common cheers. "A Duel is beginning. A Duel is beginning. All vehicles, please leave all indicated routes immediately. A Duel is beginning. A Duel is beginning. All vehicles, please leave all indicated routes immediately" A voice repeatedly declares as pillars splay out into road sections which sprout side-shoulders and Solid Vision bars. What was your name?" Rin asks. "Huh?" Yuya asks. "I haven't asked you name yet" Rin points out. "I'm Yuya. Yuya Sakaki" He tells her. "All right, hold on tight, Yuya! I'll show you what a Riding Duel is!" Rin tells him. She and Duel Chaser 227 speed down the road, turning onto one of the spread-out roads "Riding Duel, Acceleration!" Both of them declare.
In Security "Speed Word Neo deployment successful! We have a confirmed connection with the fleeing D-Wheel, it is now under Speed World Neo's control" The technician declares. "Chief, Duel Chaser 227 Duel has begun" She explains to the Director. "Their course?" The Director asks her. "From the Tops' Villa to the center of the City. STC 06 Route, sir" The technician replies. "Very well" The Director mutters, and moves a black pawn to meet the white pawn.
On the highway, Yuya remains perched on the back of Rin's D-Wheel, watching the pursing Duel Chaser. "I'm going first!" Rin states. "Let's go! My turn! I Summon Windwitch-Glaze Bell from my hand!" She declares (ATK: 300). "If I control a WIND monster, I can Special Summon Windwitch-Frigid Bell from my hand!" Rin states (ATK: 600). "I Tune my Level 3 Frigid Bell with my Level 3 Glaze Bell!" She declares. "Bewitched ice-blade with the form of a cross…Use that you power to rend all enemies! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Windwitch- Icicle Bell!" Rin chants (ATK: 2200). "Synchro Summon?" Yuya looks up at Icicle Bell, surprised. "Let's go! I activate Icicle Bell's effect!" Rin declares. "Once per turn, I can banish one "Windwitch" monster from my Graveyard to deal 500 points of damage to my opponent!" She explains. Icicle Bell fires a blue beam from its tip (DC 227's LP: 3500). "Yeah! Our lead-off punch connected!" Rin cheers. "I set one card and end my turn" She states.
Both Riding Duelists begin accelerating, terrifying poor Yuya, who screams as he holds on tightly. "Hey, don't tell me we're going to Duel while riding this!?" He asks Rin. "Of course!" Rin replies. "You're kidding me!" Yuya protests, with tears in his eyes. Rin swerves to keep ahead of the Duel Chaser "That's dangerous! Shouldn't we get off and Duel?!" Yuya protest. He sees a helicopter rise up beside them "What now?" Yuya wonders. "So they came?" Rin mutters. "Resident of the City, Good Evening!" A woman in a cowgirl outfit holding a microphone bids "This is Top City TV's top reporter, Melissa Claire!" She introduces herself. "Tonight, I'm bringing a thrilling chase and an exciting Riding Duel!" Melissa explains as she looks at the cameraman beside her. In the Director's office "Chief, a helicopter has appeared in the Speed World airspace" An officer contacts him, explains. "My goodness…" The Director chuckles. "The Tops truly do hate any form of boredom…" He comments. "It can't be helped, it's a bit out of our way, but change the route from STC 06 to 11" The Director orders. "Understood" The officer replies. More road-pillars rise from the ground and deploy, and signs appear on the Solid Vision bars warning of a sharp left turn 300 meters ahead. "It's showtime!" Rin mutters, and she quickly turns down the route with Duel Chaser 227 in hot pursuit. "Security's famous Duel Chaser and the two fleeing fugitives!" Melissa narrates the Duel so far. "The Duel has been dealt 500 damage and has lost the lead after the first turn!" She explains as the citizens of New Domino City watch, from the Tops in their luxurious homes and bars, to the Commons in an underground stadium. "Who will win this Duel, and how will this chase end?" Melissa wonders. "This live broadcast will leave your hands sweating! I promise as the top reporter Melissa Claire, this will be some great entertainment!" She promises.
"Bring it on! Everyone watching on TV is getting restless!" Rin tells Duel Chaser 227. The Duel Chaser scoffs "Let me warn you that I've never lost a Riding Duel! There is no way I'd lose to a rat like you" He replies. Rin wasn't impressed, but the Duel Chaser ignores her "My turn!" He declares and draws. "I Summon Jutte Fighter from my hand!" Duel Chaser 227 declares (ATK: 700). "Then, if my opponent controls a Synchro Monster, I can lower its ATK by 500 (Icicle Bell's ATK: 1700) and Special Summon Sasumata Gardna in Defense Position!" He states (DEF: 2000). "And now, I Tune my Level 3 Sasumata Gardna and my Level 3 Jutte Fighter!" Duel Chaser 227 declares. "Chase them to the depths of Hell! Behold this soul of justice! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 5! Goyo Chaser!" He chants (ATK: 1900). "He's Synchro Summoned as well…Then this place really is the Synchro Dimension!" Yuya observers. "Let's go! I attack Icicle Bell with Goyo Chaser!" Duel Chaser 227 declares, destroying it (Rin's LP: 3800). "200 points of damage dealt to the fugitives!" Melissa narrates. "It's not over yet" The Director comments. "Activate Goyo Chaser's effect" He orders as he moves another white pawn forwards. "A monster destroyed in battle by this card can be Special Summoned on my field with its ATK halved!" 227 reveals. Icicle Bell was revived on 227's side of the field (ATK: 1100). "What?!" Rin shocked by the effect, and the Director moves a white knight out of the line "Attack directly with Icicle Bell" He orders. "That's dirty! Using my own monster against me!" Rin complains, but it does her no good, as Icicle Bell attacks directly (Rin's LP: 2700). "Now that one must have hurt! The fugitives takes 1100 damage!" Melissa calls it and the Tops respond with approval. Rin gets her D-Wheel back under control "Are you okay?" Yuya asks Rin. Rin chuckles "Now it's getting interesting!" She comments. "I set one card and end my turn" Duel Chaser 227 states. In his office "Just two more turns, it seems…" The Director comments. "Gather the security patrol at Point 5 at Sector D in the Town" He orders. "We should be able to settle this there" The Director states. "Understood" A technician replies. "Also…To make sure those Commons watching this broadcast don't try and pull anything, raise the alert level to 5" The Director orders. "They are truly Duelling with their mind and body as one!" Melissa comments. "Now, how will our fugitive counterattack in this upcoming turn?!" She wonders.
"I'll go full throttle! My turn!" Rin declares and draws. She draws Windwitch-Wintry Bell and adds it to his hand, which contains Wind Draw and Windwitch-Frost Bell. "I activate the Spell Card: Wind Draw!" Rin declares. "For each "Windwitch" monster in my Graveyard, I get to draw one card from my Deck!" She explains. "I Summon Windwitch-Frost Bell!" Rin states (ATK: 1000). "During the turn this card is Summoned, I can perform a Synchro Summon using it with a Tuner monster in my opponent's Graveyard!" She explains. "I choose Jutte Fighter! I'll use your monster too!" Rin states. "I Tune my Level 3 Frost Bell with the Level 2 Jutte Fighter!" She declares. "Synchro Summon! Feel the surge of this swordswomen's spirit! Come forth! Level 5! Windwitch-Glacier Bell!" Rin chants (ATK: 2000). "Oh my! The fugitive had performed a Synchro Summon using the Duel Chaser's monster!" Melissa narrates. "All right, let's battle! I attack Icicle Bell with Glacier Bell!" Rin declares. "At the same time, I activate Glacier Bell's effect!" She states. "When this card battles, its ATK increase by 100!" Rin explains (Glacier Bell's ATK: 2100). Glacier Bell destroys Icicle Bell (DC 227's LP: 2500). "I'm not done yet! Glacier Bell can use this effect to attack twice during the Battle Phase!" Rin adds. "What?!" Duel Chaser 227 shocked. "Go Glacier Bell! Attack Goyo Chaser!" Rin orders. "Then Glacier Bell's ATK increase by 100 when it battles!" She states (Glacier Bell's ATK: 2200). Glacier Bell destroys Goyo Chaser (DC 277's LP: 2200). "All right!" Rin cheer happily. "With the fugitive's repeated attack, damage is piled onto the Duel Chaser! This is a closer match than we expected!" Melissa comments, and while the Commons cheer, the Tops weren't pleased. The Director scoffs. "It's too bad I've already read three steps ahead of her…And it's over at the third" He notes, returning a white knight to its starting place. Trap Activate: Descending Lost Star!" Duel Chaser 227 declares. "I can target one Synchro Monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it in Defense Position!" He explains. "Rise again, Goyo Chaser!" Duel Chaser 227 declares (DEF: 1000). "But the Special Summoned Goyo Chaser's effect is negated, its level is reduced by 1, and its DEF is reduced to 0! And I cannot change its battle position" He reveals (Goyo Chaser's DEF: 0, LV's: 4). "Watch closely, it seems that Duel Chaser's Goyo Chaser is back!" Melissa tells the audience. "I set one Card and end my turn here!" Rin states. "But if this fugitive is able to corner our Duel Chaser like this, she may have a chance of winning!" Melissa declares. "Corner, you say?" The Director mused by the remark. "And you call yourself a top reporter?" He comments. "Soon, she'll be in check" The Director declares as he moves another white knight.
The Duel Chaser manages to overtake Rin. "The Duel Chaser has pulled ahead of the fugitive!" Melissa notes. "You're pretty good, aren't you?" Rin admits, and the Duel Chaser swerves to block Rin's attempts to pass. "Now that I've taken the lead, I won't let you slip past me! I have no blind spots!" The Duel Chaser replies. Rin smiles "Oh, really?" She asks. Accelerating and terrifying Yuya once again, she drives onto the sloped shoulder and overtakes the Duel Chaser. "You're wide open!" Rin laughs. "You-!" Duel Chaser 227 annoyed. "Th-the fugitive-! Was she just now riding on the wall?!" Melissa shocked. Don't be so reckless!" Yuya tells Rin. "Don't you remember we'll get sent to the internment camps if we get caught?!" Rin reminds Yuya. Yuya gasps. "If that happens you can't participate in the Friendship Cup! You won't be able to get anywhere in life!" Rin explains. "Dueling is the fastest way to rise up! In order to get a decent lifestyle!" Rin states. "Dueling is a way of life…" Yuya muse at the statement. "All right, bring it! The only way you're going to catch me is if you win this Duel!" Rin tells Duel Chaser 227.
"Damn rat!" Duel Chaser 227 calls Rin. "My turn!" He declares and draws. "I Summon Torapart from my hand!" Duel Chaser 227 states (ATK: 600). "I Tune my Level 4 Goyo Chaser with my Torapart!" He declares. "Capture them with the raging fangs of the beast! Synchro Summon! Level Six! Goyo Predator!" Duel Chaser 227 chants (ATK: 2400). "Come quietly! I attack Glacier Bell with Goyo Predator!" He declares. "During battle, Glacier Bell's ATK increases by 100!" Rin states (Glacier Bell's ATK: 2300). But it's still not enough to match the 2400 ATK Goyo Predator and it's destroyed (Rin's LP: 2600). "When Goyo Predator destroys a monster in battle, it can Special Summon that monster" The Director comments as he takes a black pawn with a white one. Glacier Bell appears on the Duel Chaser's field (ATK: 2000). "Take a look! The Duel Chaser has gotten the fugitive's monster on his side!" Melissa narrates the twist. "It's finally the climax!" She calls it. "Hey! You've been taking my monsters over and over now! Is it fine for Security to be playing so underhanded?!" Rin protest. "The end justifies the means when capturing a fugitive. Capturing them is all that matters" 227 replies. Rin doesn't respond, so the Director takes a black pawn with the white queen "Make a direct attack with Glacier Bell" He declares. "Glacier Bell gains 100 ATK when it battles!" The Duel Chaser reminds them (Glacier Bell's ATK: 2100) and Glacier Bell blasts twin blades of light from its swords (Rin's LP: 500). "Glacier Bell can attack twice…If we take the next direct attack…!" Yuya gasps. "That's right, it's over!" 227 agrees. Rin remains silent.
"Checkmate" The Director declares, moving the white queen. But before he can place it beside the black king, he stops.

He remembers the card that Rin Set on her first turn.

"Why hasn't she used that card she set on her first turn yet…?" The Director wonder, and then he starts. He immediately contacts Duel Chaser 227 "Duel Chaser 227, hold off your second direct attack!" The Director orders. But 227 pays him no heed "With this, my undefeated record is guaranteed! I'll get a promotion for sure!" He declares. "I make another direct attack with Glacier Bell!" Duel Chaser 227 declares, and the stolen Synchro Monster blasts in, Yuya gasping.
And Rin smiles "Trap Card: Wind Whirl Battle!" She declares. "When my LP is 1000 or lower and an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can sent on "Windwitch" monster to the Graveyard from my hand and perform a Synchro Summon using monsters in my Graveyard!" Rin explains. "What!?" Duel Chaser 227 exclaims. "I send Wintry Bell from my hand to the Graveyard!" Rin states. "I Tune my Level 6 Icicle Bell with the Level 1 Wintry Bell!" She declares. "Winds of winter, snow and ice! Become my power to blow everything away! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Windwitch-Winter Bell!" Rin chants (ATK: 2400). "Trap Card: Twin Wind Squall!" She declares. "Now I can equip two Equip card from my Deck to Winter Bell!" Rin states. "I choose Wind Saber and Wind Veil!" She decides. "Also due to Wind Whirl Battle's effect, all monsters you control must battle Winter Bell!" Rin explains. "Also during either player's Battle Phase, the monster equipped with Wind Saber battles, that monster gains 100 ATK for each "Windwitch" monster on my field" She revels (Winter Bell's ATK: 2500). "Glacier Bell's ATK increases by 100 when it battles! But when a Level 5 or higher monster activates its effect, Wind Veil can negate that effect and destroy that monster!" Rin states. "What!?" Duel Chaser 227 shocked "Trichromatic Reflector" Rin declares and Glacier Bell was destroyed. "Furthermore, Winter Bell's ATK is increase by the destroyed monster's ATK!" Rin adds (Winter Bell's ATK: 4600). "An ATK of 4600!?" Duel Chaser 227 horror. "Now then, due to Wind Whirl Battle's effect, Goyo Predator and Winter Bell must battle!" Rin reminds him. "I-impossible!" 227 protests, while the Director watches impassively. "Go! Windwitch-Winter Bell, attack Goyo Predator!" Rin orders. "Maelstrom Dash Icicle Slasher!" She declares as light spreads through the blades of Windwitch-Winter Bell. It destroys Goyo Predator (DC 227's LP: 0) and deactivating Duel Chaser 227's D-Wheel, causing him to spin out. The Director tips the white queen over impassively.
"We did it!" Yuya cheers. "Wh-what a turn of events!" Melissa gasps. "The fugitive has defeated Security's pride, the Duel Chaser!" She shocked. The Director rolls the white queen piece between his fingers "As you close the course, guide the fugitive to Sector D, Point 5. Seal off the highway's exit. And for added measures prepare an express route for additional Security to the area" He calmly tells the officers. "Understood" an officer reply. "227…It is over for him" The Director muses, and contemptuously tosses the piece into a bin behind him.
"Now we're fine right?" Yuya asks Rin. "Don't be ridiculous!" Rin scoffs. "Huh?" Yuya confuse. "Huh!? A wall!?" He shocked to see a wall spring up in front of them. "Here it comes!" Rin yells. She makes a swift left turn towards a Security roadblock "Huh!?" Yuya gasps in horror. "Shut up already!" Rin angrily wonders. "Stop! Stop!" Yuya begs. "She here!" One of the officer states. But Rin doesn't stop; instead, she ramps into the air, jumping clean over the van and landing safely on the other side. "After them!" A officer yells and the Security officers dash to go after them. "What an amazing sight! Right after winning the Duel, the fugitive has broken through Security's blockade and has gotten away!" Melissa still narrating calls it. "I've got to keep my eye on her…" She muses to herself, and then she collects herself. "That's all for tonight, this has been Melissa Claire!" Melissa tells her audience.
The Security office was abuzz "Immediately seal off all Town routes from Sector D to Sector R!" A Technician orders. "Have all security on patrol in the area immediately track the fugitive's whereabouts!" Another Technicians orders. "We have a photo of the fugitive and her accomplice! Begin the search immediately!" Another Technician states. The mugshots of Rin and Yuya were displayed to the Director.
Down in the slums the next day, a warp appears, and Yuzu, Yuri, Sawatari and Reria emerge from it, walking out into another street. "Travelling between dimensions isn't pleasant at all…" Sawatari comments as he rolls his shoulder. Yuzu looks around "This is…" She wonders. "It's probably the Synchro Dimension" Yuri comments. "Somewhere here Yuya is…" Yuzu muses. "There's another city on top of this city?" She surprised. "Where are Gongenzaka and the others?" Yuzu asks. Sirens suddenly sound, and a Security patrol car drives up "This is Security! We have you completely surrounded!" An officer declares. Three officers step out of the car "What're they talking about?" Sawatari asks. "We've found them!" A fourth officer in the car informs the Director, mistaking Yuzu and Yuri for Rin and Yuya. "They appear to be wearing different clothes, but they match up with the photo! Their friends are with them as well!" He notes. "Capture them immediately" The Director requests. Terrified by the sudden encounter, Reira cries, turns, and flees. "Wait, Reira!" Yuzu calls out and goes after him. Reira doesn't get far before Real Solid Vision Gate Blockers appear in front of him and knock him to the ground. Yuzu comforts him "Are you okay?" She asks. "What is this? Real Solid Vision? They have it activated outside…?" Yuzu wonders. More Gate Blockers seal the other exits, leaving the Lancers with no escape. "All of you have been on the wanted list since last night!" A brutish officer tells the Lancers. "Come with us quietly!" He orders them as he and a brown-haired officer activate their Duel Disks. "Don't be ridiculous! We just got here!" Yuzu protest as she walks up. "Don't talk back, surrender and come with us!" Another officer tells Yuzu. "Hey you! Acting all high and mighty ordering me around, are you!?" Swatari snaps. "Who do you think you're talking to?! I'm Shingo Sawatari!" He furious. "No wait, hold on, Sawatari…" Yuzu tries to claim her fellow Entertainment Duellist down. "You want to Duel me!? Fine by me! I'll make you sure you know your place!" Sawatari accepts their challenge to Duel, activating his Duel Disk. "I said wait! Sawatari!" Yuzu exclaims, but not to be outdone, Yuri has also activated his Duel Disk and steps forwards. "W-wait, not you too, Yuri!" Yuzu shocked. "Action Field! On!" Sawatari declares. "Field Spell: Crossover" Sawatari's Duel Disk declares., and multiple blue platforms appear. The Action Cards scatter "DUEL!" Sawatari, Yuri, and the Security declares. "S-Seriously…?" Poor Yuzu asks.

If this card was Normal Summoned this turn: You can target 1 Tuner monster in your opponent's Graveyard; immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster, using that monster and this card only. You cannot Special Summon during the turn this effect is activated, except with this card's effect.

This card make a second attack during each Battle Phase. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles: it gains 100 ATK.
Wind Whirl Battle (Trap Card)
If your LP is 1000 or less, when an opponent's monster declares an attack: Send 1 "Windwitch" monster from your hand to the Graveyard; immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster using monsters in your Graveyard only. These Synchro Materials are banished. Then, all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls must attack, if able.
Windwitch-Wintry Bell (Effect/Tuner Monster, Level 1, Type Spellcaster, Attribute wind, ATK 100, DEF 100)
If this card is Normal Summon: You can target other Level 1 monster you control and declare a Level from 2 to 6; it becomes that Level.
Twin Wind Squall (Trap Cards)
You can chose two Equip Spell from your deck and equip them to one "Windwitch" monster.
Wind Saber
During either player's Battle Phase, the Equip monster Attacks it gains 100 ATK for each "Windwitch" monster you have on your field.
