Hi everyone, Rosestar48 here! Today we'll be introducing Crow Hogan and we'll have a Duel between Gongenzaka and Dennis.
The Black Whirlwind - Crow Hogan
Yuzu, Yuri, Reira and Sawatari were being cornered by Security "Spread your pitch-black wings and fly along with the thunder's roar! Like a slash of lighting! Synchro Summon! Rain down! Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower!" A voice chants, then from above Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower whipping up a storm. Just then, four separate D-Wheel riders grab each of the hands of Yuzu, Yuri, Reira and Sawatari, and make their escape.
The next day, two Security offices were showing a picture to a man "No sightings of the suspect in District B" A Security officer reports in front of Rathie's stall. An officer was looks around. The suspects in question are Rin and Yuya, who are hiding behind a narrow pass between two Commons slum buildings. Rin hides her D-Wheel behind two planks "That should do it…" She states. Rin looks to her side and see Yuya about to walk out of the pass "Stop!" She tells Yuya. "They'll see you" Rin states. "This is your hometown?" Yuya surprised. "Yeah…I was born here, thought I never knew what my parents looked like" Rin says. "That's almost the same as me…" Yuya said. "Huh?" Rin asks. "I grew up with little memories my father…" Yuya smiles, states. Just then, Rin puts his right arm around Yuya's shoulders, quietly warning him to keep quiet "Those bastards from Security are out this far…The Slums is supposed to be for us Commons…" Rin said. When Yuya hears that, he responds by removing himself from Rin's contact "This isn't the time to be worrying about Tops or Commons!" Yuya points out. "Academia eventually will make their move to combine the dimensions! Who knows when they'll decide to attack here in the Synchro Dimension…" He states.
Meanwhile, at a Top crossing "I'm looking for a lady named Yuzu Hiragi! Have you heard of her? I'm looking for a lady named Yuzu Hiragi" Gongenzaka asks passers-by. Dennis sitting in front of a hedge behind "Our communications are being jammed too…" He notices. "Looks like this dimension has some strict regulation…" Dennis thinks. Gongenzaka turns around "Hey Dennis! You should help too!" He impatiently asks. "Yeah, yeah…" Dennis said and gets up. "But it sure is bright out!" He notices the bright sun above. He decides to use a magic trick to create a hat out of one of his cards. "Wow! Cool! He's doing magic! Isn't that awesome?" A passing boy, who's with his father, sees this and marvels at Dennis' magic. "Thank you very much!" Dennis bows. A coin in thrown into Dennis' hat. "See ya later!" The boy says as his father leads him away. Noticing the coin in his hat, Dennis gets an idea.
The person who saved Yuzu, Yuri, Reira and Sawatari the night before, bids farewell to his four accomplices after returning home. Then, he approaches Yuzu. "You're amazing protecting that kid while taking on that many of Security!" He said. "There aren't any bad guys out there who would protect children! You're pretty impressive!" He decides to make her an ally. "Oh…Um-Who are y-?" Yuzu was about to asks who is was, the door opens "Welcome back. Crow!" A young girl, addressing the person. "Yo, Amanda!" Crow addressing the girl. "Where are Frank and Tanner?" He asks her. "They're in the city. They said they'd like to be the ones to help you sometimes, Crow!" Amanda said. "The heck is with that?" Crow doesn't seem too pleased to hear it as he leads the travelling quartet in. Amanda bows courteously to greet them.
"I got some good stuff today!" Crow shows Amanda what he bought earlier. "Tuna! I'll make some tuna sandwiches!" Amanda excitedly says. "You guys are hungry too, right?" Crow said. "Let's all eat together!" Amanda said. Yuzu looks at Reira and smile as she gave him a little push. During the meal-time "By the way, I haven't seen you around her. Where are you from?" Crow asks with his mouth full. "Actually we are-" Yuzu begins to speak. "Thanks for that back there!" Sawatari interrupts. "Yeah…" Crows said as he and Sawatari shake hands. "That was quite the terrible welcoming party! Even though we came all the way from another dimension!" Sawatari states. "Another dimension?" Crow wonders what he means. "Yeah!" Sawatari said. "I'm Shingo Sawatari. I'm an undefeated Duelist from Miami City!" He introduces himself. "This girl over here is my disciple, Yuzu Hiragi" Sawatari introduces Yuzu. "Hey!" Yuzu isn't pleased to hear. "And this strong-willed man is Yuri. He also came from another dimension-" Sawatari introduces Yuri. "Woah woah! I went and saved some crazy people…" Crow suddenly starts doubting whether he was right to bring the quartet in. "No, it really is true" Yuzu speaks up. "We really did come to this dimension to search for our comrades…" She said. "Whatever! I don't quite get it, but since you just got here, I bet you don't have a decent place to stay!" Crow states. "You can stay here until things calm down. Don't worry!" He offers. Yuzu smiles as she acknowledges Crow's kindness.
Meanwhile, back at Tops "Ladies and Gentlemen…" Gongenzaka says, half-heartedly. "It's showtime!" Dennis responds. Gongenzaka and Dennis were busking with their magic in front of a monument. "One! Two! Three!" Dennis counts, and throws up a few Spell Cards that materialize as actual wands, and begins to juggle with them. The crowd that have already gathered, react with awe. "Woah! Cool!" A passing young boy wearing a bobble hat awes. "Ignore it, we've gotta go, Tanner!" His friend told him. The magic session ends, and Dennis has gathered a lot of money. "Unforgivable! We didn't come here to do things like this!" Gongenzaka isn't pleased that they're wasting time. "But you know, Gon…" Dennis address Gongenzaka. "Gon!?" Gongenzaka surprised by the nickname. "If we keep standing out like this, Yuzu and the others are bound to find us!" Dennis said. "Do you think it'll work out that well?" Gongenzaka not sure. "It'll be fine!" Dennis says. "Take it easy!" He tells Gongenzaka.
Meanwhile, just outside of a Tops cuisine restaurant "This is something that concerns the future of everyone in the City!" Yuya, who was next to Rin, addressing passers-by. "The dimensional war already begun! Academia has already attacked the Xyz Dimension, eventually they'll come attack the City!" He mentions. Two restaurant customers hear Yuya speak "There are some weirdos out today…" The man dismisses his claims. "Don't you think we should report them?" The women discuss. Yuya continues, warning of an imminent attack on City. "Please, listen! I'm begging you! You must believe me! If they attack, you'll be turned into cards, just like this!" Yuzu, with desperation creeping through to his voice, pleads, pulling out the cards Olga and Halil were sealed in as proof. The two restaurant customers behind Yuya burst into laughter, and Yuya sighs "I know this won't be easy, but…If we don't explain it properly…" He laments. "Hey, you know, I get it sounds unbelievable, but it's true…I've fought across dimensions also" Rin, addresses the restaurant pair, said. "Then why don't you cross dimensions right now?" The man mocks Rin. "Hey, not you too, Dear!" The women not believing that Rin really can travel dimensions. Rin get annoyed "Fine, I'll do it! I'll warp across dimensions now, watch closely!" She exclaims. Behind a bush across the road, facing the restaurant "Looks like things are getting pretty noisy…" Tanner notices the commotions. "What, are you sure!?" Yuya surprised at Rin's outburst. "Shut up! Just stand there and watch!" Rin tells Yuya. "This is a chance for us!" Frank decides.
"Winds of winter, snow and ice! Become my power to blow everything away! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Windwitch-Winter Bell!" Rin chants as she holds up her Windwitch-Winter Bell card, expecting to be warped away. But nothing happens. "I knew it was nonsense!" The women states. "I'm telling you it's the truth!" Rin tells them. Before Rin can reason with the restaurant pair "You two are bothering my customers" The restaurant's chief interrupts her. "I'm sorry, but I went and called for Security!" He said. Just then, a woman's scream is heard. "Thieves!" The women yells as Frank and Tanner steal food from the restaurant tray, detracting the chief's attention, and they run away. "Hey! You brats from the Commons!" The chief yells. "We're going to run too!" Rin takes this opportunity to run the other way with Yuya. "Huh?!" Yuya exclaims as Rin pulls him along. "Hey! You two hold it!" The chief calls out to Rin and Yuya.
"Crow is going to be happy for sure!" Tanner mentions as he runs. "Crow, we're home!" Frank said as he and Tanner make it back to Crow's in the evening. "Hey! Where were you guys?" Crow asks the boys. "Ta-dah!" The boys said as they show the grub to Crow. "What's with all this stuff!?" Crow shocked. "We nabbed it!" Frank admits to stealing them. "It was so exciting!" Tanner chuckles. Crow wasn't impressed and hits them on the heads "You idiots! Who said you should do this?!" He scolds them. "But…Crow, you're always…" Franks states, as Tanner starts to cry. "What if you get sent to an internment camp when you get caught doing these kinds of things?" Crow asked them. "Internment camp!?" Yuzu shocked to hear. "Yeah. You guys might not have heard about it, but…Here, people are split between two types: Tops and Commons" Crow mentions. "To put it simply, the Tops are the winners and we, the Commons, are the losers. While the winners gain everything and live a life of luxury, the losers spend a pitiful existences wondering where their next meal will be" He explains. "And on top of that, if you try and fight this system, you get captured by Security and sent off to the camps" Crow states. "That's horrible…" Yuzu said. "Yeah, it's a horrible world! But despite all of that, we still have to live! That's why all of us Commons works together and desperately-" Crow responds. Frank then notices Yuzu and Yuri and nudged Tanner. "Ah! You're from earlier!" Tanner exclaims. Yuzu was confusion. "Huh? But your clothes might be different…" Tanner said. "Hey! Are you even listening to me!? I'm telling you for-" Crow not pleased at being interrupted. "Weren't you guys just at that restaurant earlier?" Frank asks. "Huh? Yuzu and Yuri were?" Crow confuse. "It's Yuya!" Yuri exclaims. "Yeah! And the girl with him must be Rin!" Yuzu believes. "Where was this?!" Yuri asks as he gets up: This scares Frank and Tanner. "Hey, what's wrong?" Crow defends them. "Our comrades are un this city!" Yuzu says. "Security has got their eyes on you guys! If you're caught, it's straight to the camps…" Crow repeats. But after a pause "Fine, I got it!" He understands. "I'll look for those friends of yours, just wait here" Crow offers. "Crow…" Yuzu smiles to express her gratefulness.
The TV show Tell Me Melissa is on air "Good afternoon, people of the City! This is Melissa Claire!" Melissa greets everyone. "Here on Tell Me Melissa, I'll bring you the latest in the hip and happening treads of our city!" She states. "Today I'd like to introduce you a pair of street performers currently in Central Park!" Melissa announces. The two in question are Dennis and Gongenzaka. "Let's go all out today too, Gon!" Dennis hopes that Gongenzaka will give another great performance today. "I refuse!" Gongenzaka not interested. "I'm going to search for Yuzu instead!" He states. "TV reporters are here too!" Dennis sees that a TV crew has arrived. "If you call yourself a Duelist, then you can't forget the spirit of Entertainment!" He says. "It's not like we're going to be Dueling anyways" Gongenzaka says. This gives Dennis an idea: he clicks his fingers "That's a good idea! Let's Duel!" He challenges Gongenzaka. "What?!" Gongenzaka confuses. "Let's do a hero show since there are so many kids watching!" Dennis says. "Are you serious?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "I'll be the hero and you'll be the villain!" Dennis declares. "Why are we doing it like that?!" Gongenzaka tries to protest, Dennis activated his Duel Disk. "H-Hey, Dennis!" Gongenzaka surprised. "Action Field! On!" Dennis declares. "Field Spell: Crossover" His Duel Disk announces. "Don't blame me for what happens!" Gongenzaka says as he activates this Duel Disk. "DUEL!" Both Duelists shouts out.
"First off, I'll need to transform you into the villain, Gon!" Dennis states. "I activate the Continuous Spell: Hot Surprise!" He declares. "I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower FIRE monster from my hand to my opponent's field" Dennis explains and Gongenzaka was set on fire. "I Special Summon Performage Plushfire to Gon-chan's field!" He declares (ATK: 1000). "What did you do!?" Gongenzaka reacts angrily. "Good acting!" Dennis tells Gongenzaka as he gave him a thumb up. "Watch out, everyone! There's a rampaging flame beast!" He tells the crowd. "And if my opponent controls a monster and I don't, I can Special Summon Performage Wind Drainer from my hand!" Dennis states (ATK: 2100). "It seems today, our street performer's show is a Duel! With thunderous applause, a fight between good and evil has begun! Even I, Melissa Claire, am burning up with excitement!" Melissa comments, while a black limousine has also showed up in the area. "All right, as the hero, I'll give you a taste of my hammer of justice!" Dennis recites a "hero" line, then backflips between Crossover platforms. "I activate the Spell Card: Performance Mage Hurricane" He declares. "If there is an Performage on the field, all Spell and Trap cards are returned to their owner's hands!" Dennis explains, and Hot Surprise was blown away. "When Hot Surprise leaves the field, and card Special Summoned with this card's effect is destroyed, then deals 400 damage to my opponent!" He explains. "Accursed flaming spirit, calm your rage at once!" Dennis said as Plushfire disintegrate. Gongenzaka no longer catches fire (Gongenzaka's LP: 3600). "With his hammer of justice, he's dealt 400 damage to the flaming spirit!" Melissa comments. "That's it, Hero of Justice!" One of the young spectators calls Dennis. "I'll protect everyone's peace!" Dennis vows. "Unforgivable…" Gongenzaka, at this point, was visibly frustrated. "Making me the villain on a whim…How come only you get to make yourself look cool?!" He accuses Dennis. "G-Gon…" Dennis shocked. "Beside, you haven't even tried to actually search for Yuzu!" Gongenzaka also accuses Dennis. "You aren't taking your position as a Lancer seriously!" He disregards him. "Are you mad?" Dennis wonders. "Of course I am! I'm fighting you for real in this Duel to make you reflect on your actions!" Gongenzaka says. "Listen up everyone! This man is not a hero at all! He's a bad guy who lit me on fire just to make himself more popular!" He tells the audience. "Huh? Really?" One of the young spectators confuses. "I, the man Gongenzaka, will punish those who are truly evil!" Gongenzaka decides. "Get him! Go for it!" The supporters that had gathered encouraged him. "Well, as long as they're enjoying it, it's fine…." Dennis reacts by taking off his hat. Gongenzaka huffs and Dennis starts to laugh maniacally. "A shame you had to find out…" Dennis said with a more evil tone in his voice and thrown his hat away. "It is just as you said, I am one of true evil!" Dennis, now wearing a mask, states; thus re-casts himself as the villain that Gongenzaka accuses him of being. "I set one card and end my turn" He states. "Face me if you dare, Hero of Justice!" Dennis goads Gongenzaka. "The veil has been lifted, revealing the true face of evil! And now true justice faces him in battle!" Melissa notes the role reversal. Melissa then smiles "Don't change that channel!" She says.
"My turn!" Gongenzaka declares. But before Gongenzaka could draw "Continuous Trap: Mage's Fortress!" Dennis declares. "As long as I control a Spellcaster-Type monster, my opponent cannot declare an attack!" He explains. "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Now you cannot even attempt to attack me!" Dennis states as a haunted house illusion emerges behind him. "What will you do now, Hero of Justice?!" He wonders. "Draw!" Gongenzaka declares, blowing a wind that causes the young spectators to cry out. "An amazing draw from the Hero of Justice!" Melissa narrates. "I send Superheavy Samurai Soulhorns to my Graveyard and Special Summon the Level 2 Tuner Monster Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter!" Gongenzaka declares (ATK: 300). "Additionally, I Summon the Level 4 Superheavy Samurai Scales!" He states (ATK: 800). "When the card is Summoned, I can Special Summon one "Superheavy Samurai" monster from my Graveyard!" Gongenzaka explains. "Come, Superheavy Samurai Soulhorns!" He calls out (ATK: 0). "I Tune my Level 4 Scales with my Level 2 Trumpeter!" Gongenzaka declares. "Raise your voice, godly demon! Come before us! To this battlefield where evil dwells! Synchro Summon! Come down! Level 6! Superheavy Samurai Ogre Shutendoji!" He chants (DEF: 2500). "Get him, hero!" One of the young spectators cheers. "Leave it to me!" Gongenzaka said. "When Shutendoji is Synchro Summoned, and I have only Monster Cards in my Graveyard, it destroys all Spell and Trap Cards my opponent controls!" He states and Mage's Fortress starts to crack. "I won't let you take it like that!" Dennis declares. "When this card is destroyed, I can draw one card!" He states. He leaps off the Crossover platform, onto the ground as he makes his draw.
"When a "Superheavy Samurai" Synchro Monster is Summoned, I can Special Summon Superheavy Samurai Soulclaw from my hand!" Gongenzaka states (ATK: 500). "I activate Soulhorns' monster effect!" He declares. "Once per turn, I can equip it to a "Superheavy Samurai" monster!" Gongenzaka explains. "And since Shutendoji is a Superheavy Samurai monster…!" He states. "Furthermore, I activate Soulclaw's monster effect!" Gongenzaka declares. "Once per turn, I can equip it to a "Superheavy Samurai" monster and increase its ATK and DEF by 500!" He states (Shutendoji's DEF: 3000). "Shutendoji can attack in Defense Position!" Gongenzaka explains. "Battle! I attack Wind Drainer with Shutendoji!" He declares and Shutendoji destroys Wind Drainer (Dennis's LP: 3100). "Soulhorns' Equip effect!" Gongenzaka declares. "When I have no Spell or Trap cards in my Graveyard, the equipped monster can attack twice!" He states. "I attack directly with Shutendoji!" Gongenzaka declares. "What?!" Dennis shocked. Dennis was sent flying (Dennis's LP: 100). The spectators watch on "The Hero of Justice has overcome a pinch and land two consecutive attacks for huge damage!" Melissa marvels at the hero's reversal. Dennis gets up "Now it's the villain's showtime!" He states. "My turn! Draw!" Dennis declares. "I, using the Scale 3 Performage Mirror Conductor and the Scale 6 Performage Fire Dancer, set the villainous Pendulum Scale!" He declares. "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 4 to 5" Dennis states. "Behold, this nefarious Summoning method!" He declares. "Pendulum Summon! Level 4 Performage Plushfire! (ATK: 1000) And the Level 5, Wind Drainer!" Dennis chants (ATK: 2100). "What!? You can do that?!" One of the spectators reacts with surprise. "Summoning multiple monsters at once?!" Melissa reacts with surprise. "What an overwhelming Summoning technique! This must be our first time catching it on film!" She notes. "It is the second, though…So Pendulum Summon can also Summon monsters that were destroyed before…? That aside, it seems they have two more pawns available to them…" Someone, somewhere else, notes, as he watches the broadcast and playing chess at the same time.
"Stricken with fear?" Dennis asks. "Even when destroyed, Pendulum Monsters are simply sent to the Extra Deck!" He explains to Gongenzaka and the spectators. "Therefore, I can Summon as many times as I wish!" Dennis states. "No way!" One of the young spectators doesn't believe. "That's cheating!" Another young spectator claims. "And I'm not even done yet!" Dennis states. "I activate Wind Drainer's monster effect!" He declares. "When this card is Special Summoned, I can decrease its Level by 1!" Dennis explains (Wind Drainer's LV: 4). "And I Overlay my Level 4 Plushfire and Wind Drainer!" Dennis declares. "The show must go on! Artisan of the air, swing across the stage with grace! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Performage Trapeze Magician!" He chants (ATK: 2500). "Xyz?" The person inside the black limousine surprised, and them smirks. "Rank? Not Levels?" one of the spectators surprised. "And another unknown Summoning method revealed to us a monster with Rank instead of a Level? I can't even imagine what kind of power it could possess!" Melissa repeats, claiming. "I activate Mirror Conductor's Pendulum Effect!" Dennis declares. "When this card is in a Pendulum Zone all monsters on my opponent's fields ATK and DEF become the least of that monster's original values!" He explains (Shutendoji's DEFK 1000). "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "And…! Fire Dancer's effect!" Dennis declares. "It gives Trapeze Magician Piercing Damage!" He states. "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "And on top of that! I activate Trapeze Magician's Effect!" Dennis declares. "By using one Overlay Unit…This card can attack twice this turn!" He states. "Take the attack of evil! I attack Shutendoji with Trapeze Magician!" Dennis declares, and Trapeze Magician attacks Shutendoji. "The monster equipped with Soulclaw cannot be destroyed in battle!" Gongenzaka states. "But you'll take the Piercing Damage from Fire Dancer's effect!" Dennis reminds him (Gongenzaka's LP: 2100). "Are my evil attacks working on you, Hero of Justice?" He taunts Gongenzaka. "This is nothing!" Gongenzaka states. "Then it's time for the second battle!" Dennis states. "I attack Shutendoji with Trapeze Magician!" He declares and Trapeze Magician attacks Shutendoji with its bar. "You know it since this is the second time…Even if Shutendoji can't be destroyed in battle you take the Piercing Damage!" Dennis states (Gongenzaka's LP: 600). "I end my turn!" He declares. "You can do it!" One of the young supporters cheers. "Hero of Justice!" Another young supporter cheers. "Don't lose!" A third young supporter cheers. "Just as I planned!" Dennis said.
"Our Hero of Justice has just taken a huge blow! But a Hero mustn't give up at times like this! We expect a comeback right now!" Melissa commentates. "I will definitely answer to everyone's expectations!" Gongenzaka vows. "My turn! Draw!" He declares. "Once per turn, Soulhorns equipped to Shutendoji can unequip itself…and Special Summon itself in face-up Defense Position!" Gongenzaka states (DEF: 300). "Mirror Conductor's Pendulum Effect!" Dennis declares. "When a monster is Special Summoned to my opponent's field, its ATK and DEF become least of that monster's original values!" He explains (Soulhorns' DEF: 0). "The Soulclaw equipped to Shutendoji can also unequip itself once per turn, and Special Summon itself in face-up Defense Position!" Gongenzaka states (DEF: 500). "Soulclaw's ATK and DEF are the same, so Mirror Conductor's pendulum effect won't activate!" Dennis states. "Due to Soulclaw's being unequipped, Shutendoji's ATK and DEF go down by 500!" Gongenzaka explains (Shutendoji's DEF: 500). "And now I Summon the Tuner Monster, Superheavy Samurai Drum!" He states (ATK: 300). "I Tune my Level 6 Shutendoji, Level 2 Soulclaw, Level 1 Soulhorns and my Level 1 Samurai Drum!" Gongenzaka declares. "Raging deity, in unison with the roar of a thousand blades' souls, come forth and oversee the children on this battlefield! Synchro Summon! Now, come before us! Level 10! Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo!" He chants (DEF: 3800). "But due to Mirror Conductor's Pendulum Effect, its ATK and DEF become least of its original values!" Dennis points out (Susanowo's DEF: 2400). "Susanowo's monster effect!" Gongenzaka declares. "When this card is in Defense Position, and there are no Spell or Trap Cards in my Graveyard, I can pay 500 LP to use Spell Cards in my opponent's Graveyard!" He explains (Gongenzaka's LP: 100). "I activate the Spell Card: Performance Mage Hurricane in Dennis' Graveyard!" Gongenzaka declares. "All Spell and Trap Cards are returned to their owner's hand!" He states and both of Dennis' Pendulum Monsters returned to his hand. "Mirror Conductor's Pendulum Effect ends, and Susanowo's values return to normal!" Dennis states (Susanowo's DEF: 3800). "Susanowo can attack while in Defense Position!" Gongenzaka states. "Battle! I attack Trapeze Magician! Kusanagi Sword Slash!" He declares and Susanowo destroyed Trapeze Magician. Dennis falls on his stomach "I've been defeated!" Dennis moans (Dennis' LP: 0).
The spectators cheer for "superhero" Gongenzaka "A great victory for our hero! The City's peace has been protected by a single youth's bravery!" Melissa commentates as the Action Field dissipates. "Melissa Claire signing off!" She ends her broadcast, and at sunset, Dennis was counting his money again. "I still think this method is incorrect…" Gongenzaka states. "What're you talking about? You were totally into it, Gon…" Dennis points out. Then someone clapping caught their attentions "That really was something!" Someone congratulates them. The spectator that was watching from inside the black limousine appears before Dennis and Gongenzaka "You two are quite skilled! I've taking a liking to you!" He states. "Umm, who are you?" Dennis asks. "I am Gallagher, a promoter!" Gallagher introduces himself. "Would you mind lending those skills to me?" He asks Dennis and Gongenzaka. "Huh?"
