Underground Riding Duel!
"What the self-proclaimed Gallagher the Promoter guided us to was… an Underground Dueling Arena…where illegal Gambling Duels were taking place" Dennis recaps. "Kurosaki, who was there to find strong Duelists, had become number one with his popularity and display of skills" He explains. "To cut to the chase, Gallagher told me to fight Kurosaki to hype up the show!" Dennis states. "If you win 10 Duels in a row in this Duel Arena, you'll be allowed to participate in the Friendship Cup!" Dennis explains. "So I challenged Kurosaki to a Duel" He states. "Pendulum Summon! Come forth my monsters!" Dennis chants as he summons 2 copies of Performage Wing Sandwichman and Performage Ball Balancer. "Pendulum Summon?" The Director asks. "Yes sir. In the Underground Duelling Arena in the center of the City" One of his aides confirms it. "Send personnel immediately. They may be hiding out there" The Director orders. "It shall be done" The aide replies. The Director places a white knight down.
"Three monsters in an instant!?" A man shocked. "And two Level 5 monsters without a Release!?" Another man shocked. Dennis' monsters face off against Kurosaki's Raidraptor - Blaze Falcon, and both players have 100 LP and no cards in their hands. Gallagher laughs "Shocked, aren't you?!" He asks the crowd. "This is the main reason why I had my eyes on Dennis!" Gallagher states. "That's right, I remember seeing them on TV duelling in Central Park…" A woman remembers Dennis and Gongenzaka's Duel. "That's right back then…" A man remembers. "So that's it?" Another man realizes. "That's right!" Gallagher confirms it. "And the name of this magical Summoning method that has left everyone speechless is…Pendulum Summon! This guy is today's gem that I. Gallagher, the ever-competent Promoter, has had his eyes on!" He describes. The Commons cheer and the Tops watch from their private boxes.
"I'm just getting started! You better keep your eyes peeled!" Dennis tells the crowd. "I activate Wing Sandwichman's effect!" He declares. "If I control another Wing Sandwichman, I can make the Level of a monster between them 5!" Dennis explains. He chooses Ball Balancer, and both Wing Sandiwichmen stamp it with their shields (Ball Balancer's LV: 5). "So using Wing Sandwichman's effect, he's gotten three Level 5 monsters on the field?" Gongenzaka observes. "I Overlay my two copies of Level 5 Wing Sandiwichmen and Ball Balancer!" Dennis declares. "Fold upright, artisan of the underworld! Xyz Summon! Rank 5! Performage Shadow Maker!" He chants (ATK: 2600). "See what did I tell you? He's giving you a show right now! Pendulum Summoning into an Xyz Summoning!" Gallagher asks the crowd. The crowd cheer again "The hearts of the audience are in the palm of my hands! I'm really in the spotlight!" Dennis laughs. "If he attacks now Kurosaki is going to lose!" One of the Commons comments. "What? I don't want Kurosaki to lose…" His girlfriend sadly laments. "But Dennis is so great too!" She squeals, much to the man's displeasure. "If the Number One Rookie Kurosaki gets beaten by a guy who just entered today…! People would be making a killing on him!" Another man with a criminal mark beside them observes. "Now then, what's going to happen? Will Kurosaki protect his Number One seat? Or is this the birth of a new Number One!? Kurosaki or Dennis!? Dennis or Kurosaki!?" Gallagher asks
"Sorry, looks like I'll be taking the Number One spot!" Dennis apologizes to Kurosaki. Kurosaki smirks. "You're going to lose" Dennis tells Kurosaki. They both accelerate "These two are filled with killing intent…" Gongenzaka notes with disapproval, comments. Dennis powerslides "Battle! Shadow Maker, attack Blaze Falcon!" He declares. Shadow Maker slices Blaze Falcon into six pieces with its massive scissors, destroying it. "I activate the effect of my Equip Spell: Raptor's Ultimate Mace!" Kurosaki responds. "When the equipped monster is destroyed, I take no damage! Then, I can add one "Rank-Up-Magic" card from my Deck to my hand" He explains. "The card I will add is Rank-Up-Magic Revolution Force!" Kurosaki states. "Keep on struggling!" Dennis calls it. "Even if you add a Quick-Play Spell to your hand, you won't be able to use it on my turn! And with no monsters on your field, my win is guaranteed!" He comments.
"Trap Card: Lightning Quick!" Kurosaki declares. "This cards effect allows me to activate any Quick-Play Spell Cards in my hand!" He explains. Dennis gasps in shock. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell: -Up-Magic Revolution Force!" Kurosaki declares. "I take control of one Xyz Monster my opponent controls!" He states. The crest on the card flashes out, and Shadow Maker uses one of its Overlay Units. "Then, I can Rank Up that monster onto a "Raidraptor" monster 1 Rank higher!" Kurosaki explains. Shadow Maker reappearing on Kurosaki's field and entering the Overlay Network "Prideful falcon, Spread your wings dyed in the blood of heroes! Advance through the path of revolution! Rank up: Xyz Change! Come forth! Rank 6! Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon!" Kurosaki chants (ATK: 2000). "Dennis no longer has any monster on his field" Gongenzaka observes. "It looks like the stronger one made the comeback…" He asks. "B-Bravo…Bravo!" Gallagher shocked, praising Kurosaki's move. "This is exactly the back and forth I'd expected from the number one!" He states, and laughs. The shadow of Revolution Falcon suddenly begins to extend; and Shadow Maker emerges from it. "I-Impossible! What is going on?!" Kurosaki shocked (ATK: 2600). "Shadow Maker should've become Revolution Falcon's Rank-Up Material!" Gongenzaka shocked. "When Shadow Maker is targeted by an effect, I can use one Overlay Unit to Special Summon another Shadow Maker from my Extra Deck!" Dennis explains. "So it's a card that can continuously make shadows of itself?" Kurosaki remarks.
In the shadows "All units, report in" A Security officer whispers into his microphone. "Unit 2 in position" An officer reports. "Units 3, 4 and 5 are in position!" Another officer reports. "C and D area are all sealed off" Another officer reports. "And the peoples from Tops?" The officer asks. "They will finish being evacuated in three minutes" Another officer informs him. "All right, commence this mission in three minutes" The officer tells them. "Now then, let's keep on making this more exciting!" Dennis suggests to Kurosaki, and both Duelists accelerate even further.
Just as Kurosaki pulls ahead, the lights snap off, and the energy blades of Dennis and Kurosaki's Duel Disks dematerialize. Their D-Wheels soon shut down as well, and Dennis is sent tumbling from his D-Wheel, while Kurosaki was able to leap off and land safely. As soon as they come to a stop, spotlights snap on them. "Wh-What the?!" A man confuses "A blackout?" Another man asks. "This is Security. On the chargers of participating in illegal Riding Duels, you're all under arrest!" A Sector Security officer informs them. The Commons panic and attempt to flee "Do not move! Do not resist arrest!" Security orders them. "I repeat, you are all under arrest under the chargers of participating in illegal Riding Duels" He repeats his orders as Security officers surround Kurosaki and Dennis. Gallagher flees through the stunned crowd, with Gongenzaka hot on his heels "Hey! Wait!" Gongenzaka tells him, but materialized Gate Blockers cut him off from Gallagher and he is cornered by Security officers "Regrettable…" Gongenzaka uttering an expression of regret.
Later "All dangerous individuals from the audience have been detained. As well as the two users of Xyz and Pendulum Summoning and their accomplice" An officer informs the Director. Viewing Gongenzaka, Dennis, and Kurosaki on a screen "Well done" The Director congratulates the officer. "Continue by widening your search range. Comb every corner of the Common's Underground Arena. Those on our wanted list are most likely among the other commons. Arrest any who show any resistance by any means necessary" He orders the officer. "Roger" The officer replies and signs off. The Director looks at his chessboard with a smirk "Perfect. Now I can also clean up the City as well" He comments.
Frank holds up his Colossal Fighter monster "Synchro Summon!" He declares. "You can't do that! That's not a Tuner monster!" Tanner tells him. "You noticed?" Frank said. "Don't give me that!" Tanner reprimands him. "Sorry, sorry!" Frank apologizes. Reira sits on the steps to Crow's house as the two Commons boys Duel "Brother…where are you?" He wonders. Yuzu steps outside "Hey…Have you seen Yuri or Sawatari?" She asks Frank and Tanner. "That scary guy and that pompous guy?" Frank asks. "We haven't seen them, aren't they inside?" Tanner replies. "No, I can't find them at all. Did they go to the City's center again?" Yuzu irritably muses. She looks up at one of the Tops' towering complexes "I hope they didn't actually go all the way up there…They're really a handful" Yuzu admits. Reira gets up "Reira, what's wrong?" Yuzu asks. "I'm going to go look for Brother…" Reira states and runs down the stairs. "You can't!" Yuzu tells him sharply. Reira stops short "S-Sorry…" Yuzu apologizes. "It's not that I' m mad…" She reassures Reira. "Brother…" Reira whispers. "Right now, it's dangerous for us to be walking around the City. That's what Crow told us" Yuzu reminds him. "Just wait for now, all right, Reira" She suggests. "Don't worry, I'll make sure that you'll see Reiji Akaba again" She reassures him.
"I attack directly with Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri declares, who lands a kick and reduces the LP of Yuri's opponent from 500 to zero. Crossover dissolves and Sawatari claps him "Splendid. This makes eight people" He comments. Yuri gave him a look. "You said you'd go look for Yuya, but you've only been Dueling. You fine with leaving Yuya alone?" Sawatari observes. "Of course, searching for Yuya is of utmost important. But, finding strong Duelists is important as well" Yuri replies. He deactivates his Duel Disk and kneels down in front of his opponent "Answer me! Who is the strongest one around here?!" Yuri fiercely asks his opponent. "He is…" The shaken boy nods to a poster of Jack Atlas. "Jack Atlas? We've been seeing this poster in plenty of places…" Sawatari muses. "Where do I have to go to fight him?" Yuri asks the boy. In a nearby alleyway "Target spotted. It is the man who used Fusion Summoning a few days ago. The blond-haired man is with him as well" A Security officer reports to the Director. "Continue to trail them. The other one will definitely be where they are headed. The one who used Pendulum Summoning…" The Director orders him.
"Those two went out on their own again…" Crow learns from Yuzu that Yuri and Sawatari went off on their own again. "Jeez, even after I kept telling them not to go anywhere!" Crow mutters. "Sorry…" Yuzu apologizes. "I'll tell them again when they get back" She reassures Crow. The door opens "I brought the things you asked for" A man in a Riding Dueling suit comes in with a bag in his arms, claims. As soon as he sees Yuzu "What…you're still here?" He crossly asks. "You're…" Yuzu recognizes the man as one of Crow's comrades who rescued them. "My friend, Shinji" Crow introduces his comrade. "Thanks for earlier" Yuzu thanks Shinji. "You guys are still wanted, aren't you?" Shinji points out to Yuzu. "Don't get the kids here involved" He tells her. "Yeah…I'll be careful" Yuzu reassures them. Shinji lightens up when the kids come in "Shinji! You came by!" Amanda cheers. "Shinji!" Frank and Tanner cheers, something that makes Yuzu smile. "Here, I got some good things for you guys" Shinji explains as he tips a pile of sweets and biscuits out from the bag. "How'd you get all of these?" Tanner asks. "Don't tell me you stole them?" Amanda asks Shinji. "Well done!" Frank appreciative. "Idiots!" Shinji offended. "I got them because they were on sale!" He claims, but the kids all shoot sceptical looks at him. "What's with that look? I'm telling the truth!" Shinji indignantly asks. "Just hurry up and eat already!" He tells them. "You too, over there!" Shinji call over to Reira. "There's plenty to go around, so get your share!" He tells him. "It's a welcoming gift from us Commons" Shinji describing it as he holds up a doughnut with a smile. "Eat your fill!" He tells Reira. "All right, I'm heading out" Shinji comments. "Thanks again" Crow thanks him. "Be careful, Security is all around the City looking for you guys" Shinji warns them. "Yeah, got it" Crow replies. "Bye!" The kids bid him. "See ya later!" Shinji said and heads out and quickly makes his way off the premises. The kids dig into the food appreciatively "Hey, you come over here too!" Crow tells Reira. Reira doesn't move "If you don't hurry up, they're going to eat all up!" Crow comments. Reira still doesn't move "Go on, hurry" Crow tells him. "What? You being polite for our sake?" He wonders. "There's no need for that! Come and get something to eat" Crow reassures him. "Is that…An order?" Reira finally asks, and Crow bursts out laughing "An order? You've been here for three days, but that's the first thing I've heard you say!" He comments. "All right…Then I'll give you an order" Crow tells Reira as he puts his hands on Reira's shoulders. "Before eating, make sure you properly wash your hands!" He tells him. Reira nods and heads to the sink. "Hey! You guys wash your hands too!" Crow tells the other kids. "At this point?" Tanner asks. "We're already eating!" Amanda protest. "Quit whining, it's an order!" Crow replies. "Okay…" That child said.
Crow and Yuzu watch Reira wash his hands with the other kids "Why is he that quiet…" Crow asks. "I don't really know myself" Yuzu admits. "Kids should be more free and he able to do what they want to! If they do something wrong, then you just lecture them" Crow, sighing, reassures Yuzu. "I want to…His smile…I want to bring back his smile. No…not just Reira's…I want to make everyone in the world smiling and happy" Yuzu admits. Crow smiles wryly "The first step to happiness it a full stomach! You don't get it at all, do you?" He comments. "Smiles are the symbol of happiness!" Yuzu replies. "Can you fill your stomach with smile?" Crow asks. "Without a smile, no matter how much you eat, you can't say you're happy! All that is is loneliness!" Yuzu retorts. "First you have to eat your fill! Smiles come after that!" Crow yells. "That's not true at all!" Yuzu replies. "Too bad, but those are just words coming from the privileged!" Crow apologizes. "What was that?!" Yuzu irritably asks Crow. The kids take notice of the argument "It's obvious that just stuffing your face isn't enough!" She protests. "No! First you have to eat your fill! That's the most important!" Crow snaps. "That's not true at all!" Yuzu retorts. "Hey you guys, getting to eat all you want makes you happy, right?" Crow cheekily asks the kids, but they don't respond. "Hey, say something!" Crow irritably asks them. "Reira? What about you? He asks him. Reira freezes up in shock. "It's all about smiles, right Reira?" Yuzu takes advantage, suggest. "Eating a full meal!" Crow shouts. Crow and Yuzu's argument descends into them shouting " at one another "Smiles!" Yuzu shouts. "A full meal!" Crow shouts. "Smiles!" Yuzu shout Meals!" Crow shouts. All four kids shoot skeptical looks at the young adults. "You really don't get it, do you!?" Crow shouts. "That's my line!" Yuzu shouts. "Fine then, let's decide who's right with a Duel!" Crow decided. "Fine with me! I'll show you the Entertainment Duelling I inherited from Sir!" Yuzu vows.
In a junk-laden alleyway, Sawatari looks at various advertisements depicting Jack "He's a pretty famous guy, is seems" He comments. "I hope he's as good as the rumors say" Yuri states. They notice two patrolling Security cars "The closer we get to the center, the tighter the security is…" Yuri observes. "No helping that. I'm getting hungry, so let's head back" Sawatari suggested.
"I'm going to drill into that think-headed skull of your how important a full meal is!" Crow tells Yuzu. "I'll make you understand that smiles are the most important!" Yuzu replies. "Meals!" Crow yells. "Smiles!" Yuzu yells. "Jeez, there's no helping these guys…" Frank comments. "What a waste of time…" Tanner agrees. "It's really immature…" Amanda comments. "DUEL!" Both Yuzu and Crow yells. "Field Spell: Crossover" Yuzu's Duel Disk declares. The platforms materialize, and the Action Cards scatter. "I'll be going first!" Yuzu states. "Ladies and Gentleman!" She declares much to the kids' surprise. "Is she talking to us?" Frank wonders. "That is correct!" Yuzu confirms. "Right now, I'll bring forth my reliable monsters with a Pendulum Summon just for you!" She states. "Pendulum Summon!" Amanda excited. Franks was also excited. "Do it quick!" Tanner urges Yuzu. "When I pull it off, give me a standing round of applause!" Yuzu tells them. "You're going to pull it off right out of the gate?" Crow asks. "I, using the Scale 1 Arial the Melodious Sorceress and the Scale 9 Dulcet the Melodious Sorceress, set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu declares. "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 2 to 8!" She states. Reira watches "Amazing!" Frank calls it. "Hurry up! Hurry up!" Tanner continues to urges her. "Swing, Pendulum of my Soul! Draw an arc of light across the aether! Pendulum Summon! Come my monsters! First off, Cynthia the Melodious Valkyrie! (ATK: 1800) Next is, Mandoilena the Melodious Diva! (ATK: 1700) And our final introduction is for, Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" Yuzu chants (ATK: 2600). "Wow!" Frank amazed. "Three monsters at once!" Amanda notes. "So cool!" Tanner amazed. "With my Pendulum Summon, I made smiles bloom of the faces of three kids in an instant!" Yuzu states. The kids all cheer "Don't make such a big deal out of a few cheers!" Crow confidently calls it. "I end my turn here! With this, my First Act is complete!" Yuzu states. Yuri and Sawatari returns "What? They're Dueling?" Yuri surprised. "They're doing something interesting when I'm away, I see…" Sawatari comments.
"Let's go! Hungry Duel Start! My turn!" Crow declares and draws. "When I control no monsters I can Special Summon Blackwing - Gust the Backblast!" He states (ATK: 900). "Next, when I control a "BlackWing" monster, I can Special Summon this card from my hand!" Crow explains. "Come forth! Blackwing - Oroshi the Squall!" He declares (ATK: 400). "Crow's gotten two monsters out in an instant too!" Frank observes. "I Release Oroshi the Squall and Advance Summon Assault Blackwing - Kunai the Drizzle!" Crow declares (ATK: 2100). "It's not just Pendulum Summoning that can Summon multiple monsters!" He states. "It seems we've both cleared our first stage perfectly" Yuzu comment. and Crow grins "If you're going to Pendulum Summon, then I'm going to Synchro Summon!" He comments. "Huh? But there aren't any Tuner monsters on your field!" Yuzu surprised. "Don't underestimate Blackwings!" Crow tells her. "I activate Kunai the Drizzle's effect!" He declares. "When this card is Summoned by Releasing a "Blackwing" monster, it can be used as a Tuner monster!" Crow explains. "I Tune my Level 2 Gust the Backblast with my Level 5 Kunai the Drizzle!" He declares. "Spread your pitch-black wings and fly along with the thunder's roar! Like a slash of lighting! Synchro Summon! Rain down! Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower!" Crow chants (ATK: 2600). "He pulled off a Synchro Summon!" Frank cheers. "But Pendulum Summoning is cool too…" Tanner points out. "Oh? Tanner, you're on Yuzu's side?" Amanda cheekily asks. "Even though Crow has helped you out so much…" Frank chimes in. "Well I mean…" Tanner protest. "Reira, you're on Yuzu's side right?" Amanda suggests. "That's a given!" Frank states. "With Reira on my side, I've got the strength of an army!" Yuzu cheerfully replies. Reira looks away "Re-Reira..?" Yuzu disappointed and Crow's glee. "Kids are honest! That means you're on my side, right Reira?" Crow comments. Reira looks away from Crow. "Hey…" Crow feels bad.
Shinji speeds up on his D-Wheel "Security is coming, run for it!" He yells. "You're surrounded!" Shinji tells them. "Surrounded?!" Yuzu shocked. "Don't tell me they followed us!?" Yuri asks and Sawatari looks up to see a Security officer fire an energy net at Crow. "Crap!" Crow yells that this is bad before the net snares him, causing Raikiri to vanish. Another officer blasts a net at Yuzu, and she too was captured, Mozarta and the Crossover Action Field fading away. "Damn it!" Shinji cursed as he tries to escape, but is quickly surrounded, as was Sawatari. Yuri was captured "Let go of me!" He yells at the officers. Yuri looks up to see the kids just in time to see Tsukikage speed in. Tsukikage meets his eyes, grabs Reira, and speeds away. "Re-Reira?" Yuzu looks around. "Reira? Reira!" She panics when she can't see him. "Get your hands off the kids!" Crow, who was pinned down by Security officers, yells at them. "Reira! Reira!" Yuzu desperately screams.
