No Cards, No Pardon
A Security officer fires an energy net at Crow. "Crap!" Crow yells that this is bad before the net snares him. Another officer blasts a net at Yuzu, and she too was captured. Yuri was captured "Let go of me!" He yells at the officers. "Get your hands off the kids!" Crow, who was pinned down by Security officers, yells at them. "Reira! Reira!" Yuzu desperately screams.
"Let go of me! Who do you think I am!?" Sawatari yells at Security officer. "Shut up! Get in already!" The officer handling him tells him before tossing him into the back of a van. Sawatari gets up "Damn it! Do you know what will happen when I tell my father, you-!" He furiously asking the officer, but he's interrupted by first Shinji and then Crow being thrown in on top of him. "Damn it…" Sawatari cursed. "You two get in there too!" an Officer said. Yuzu was thrown in next, and she turns just in time to catch Yuri and prevent him from falling. "Wait, please!" Yuzu said as the officers begins to close the door. Yuzu shoulder charges it "Reira! Where's Reira!" She asks them. "Hey!" The officer shouts. "Reira, where are you!? Reira!" Yuzu yells out. "Quit struggling!" The officers tell Yuzu, they finally slam the doors shut. Frank, Amanda, and Tanner run up "Crow!" They cry his name. "Stop! Don't get any closer!" A Security officer urgently tells them. Crow gets up to the back window "Hey you guys! Don't worry about me, and eat properly!" He tells the kids. The van drives away "Crow!" The kids cries. "Damn it!" Frank cursed. "Give us back Crow! Amanda yells at the officers. The van's windows shutter rose up "Hey! You can hear me can't you!? Stop! I'm begging you!" Yuzu yells at the driver. "Calm down Yuzu" Crow tells her. "But Reira…I have to find Reira!" Yuzu protests. "You don't need to worry about Reira!" Yuri reassures Yuzu. "Huh?" Yuzu confused. "I saw Tsukikage slip in during the confusion and take him away" Yuri explains. "What?! Tsukikage did?!" Yuzu shocked.
(Flashback)
Tsukikage grabs Reira, and speeds away.

"Tsukikage…he…" Yuzu surprised. "He came from another dimension like you guys, right?" Crow observes. "Yeah" Yuri confirms. "Tsukikage must have been searching for us and Reira under Reiji Akaba's orders" He theorizes. "Well, anyway, that means he got saved in the nick of time…" Yuzu relieves. "Well that's one less thing to worry about. Isn't that good?" Crow suggests. "It's not! This is clearly a mistaken arrest! I'll tell my father on them and get them all fired!" Sawatari noses the camera, protests. "You can hear me can't you, bastards!"? He yells at the driver. "You need to calm down as well" Yuri tells Sawatari. "Sorry about this, Shinji. You only came by to warn us…" Crow apologizes. "Well, at least we managed to avoid getting the kids captured" Shinji reassures Crow. "I hope those kids don't resort to stealing food again…" Crow muses. "Our friends on the outside will look after them" Shinji reminds Crow."Yeah..." Crow said. Yuzu looks around the van "But where are they even taking us?" She wonders. Shinji laughs "If Security captures you and takes you in a car, it can only be going one place!" He comments.
In his office "The five we have captured will be arriving there shortly" The Director briefs the head of the Facility. "Among them, put the boy who used Fusion Summoning in special confinement. Once he is settled in, I'll come by to investigate" He orders. "You can treat the other like the rest of your prisoners. Lock them up and keep an eye on them" The Director tells the Facility head. "Understood" The head of the Facility replies, and the screen turned off. "We have plenty of time…I'll investigate each one of them thoroughly…" The Director muses.
At the Facility, "All right, I'm in the lead!" A blond guard cheers while playing Wheelie Breakers on a handheld. "Hey, we have some new arrivals coming. Don't put them in a shared cell, separate them and keep an eye on them" A dark-skinned guard enters the room, explains to him. "You listening?" He asks as the blonde guard was barely paying attention. "And put the purple-hair boy with them in special confinement" The dark-skinned guard adds. "Got it" The blond guard reassures the other guard. "You better inform them" The dark-skinned guard states. "Yeah, yeah, I said I got it" The blond guard states.
The van arrives at the Facility "We brought in five new prisoners" An Officer give tells the blonde guard and a female guard. "Confirmed" The female guard states. "Prisoners he said!? I'm Shingo Sawatari, I'm definitely not-" Sawatari protests. "I've never heard of you, keep quiet" One of the officers tells Sawatari. "You over there, you're being placed in separate quarters from those four. Come with me" The woman tells Yuri. Yuzu was surprised "It's fine, don't make a scene" Yuri reassures her, and the female guard leads him away. "Come on, you guys are this way" The blond guard states and Yuzu the group follows him. "We confiscating you disk. Unauthorized Dueling isn't allowed here" The blonde guard explains. "Take this with you guys" He give them back their decks. "You're not going to confiscate our Deck?" Crow surprise "Here, you deck is as valuable as your own life!" The blonde guard explains with smile. "You better make sure to treasure it while you can" He comments. The guard puts in a Keycard into a card reader "And with that, I welcome you to this gathering place of scum" He comments.
The doors open to the main communal area of the Facility; a cylindrical space ringed with cells that rise far above the floor. "From that greeting, I guess we can forget expecting a soft bed and a full-course meal" Sawatari muses. "Aside from a select few dangerous ones, almost everyone here is a Common arrested on false pretenses" Crow explains. "There are easily 100 or 200 held here on false charges" Shinji comments. "False charges? Then that's just like us isn't it?" Yuzu asks. "That's right, but here there are only two types of people" Shinji admits. "Two types…?" Yuzu confuses. "Yeah. People with no life left in their eyes…and the ones whose eyes still glows" Shinji states. He glances aside at some prisoners defiantly.
The Lancers' and Commons' Solid Vision cuffs are dematerialized "From now on, this shared cell will be your new home sweet home!" blonde guard tells them, and locks their shared cell. "Make sure to get along with your fellow roommates" He warns them and leaves with a snicker. Crow snorts "Like hell this is our home sweet home" He notes the sarcasm. As the blonde guard walks away "Hm…shared cell?" He remembers. "Was I told something about that…? Oh, well!" The guard dismisses and walks away. "Now then, what're we going to do now?" Crow wonders, and the group look around the cell, noticing two other Commons prisoners, one in red and another in green. "Looks like we've got some newcomers" The red Common comments. Yuzu was surprised "Well? Aren't you going to greet us?" The red Common asks. "N-Nice to meet you…" Yuzu politely tells them. "Huh? You call that a greeting?" The green Common angrily asks Yuzu. "You should be sitting down with your head bowed saying, "Nice to meet you, sir!" The red Common states. "Why do I have to go that far…?" Yuzu confuses. "If you want me to sit down you should at least bring out a sofa for me!" Sawatari arrogantly suggests. "What was that!" The red Common annoyed. "You little-!" The green Common annoyed. "Quit acting so unseemly!" Gongenzaka walks over, tells the Commons. "Gongenzaka! What're you doing he-" Yuzu surprise, but Gongenzaka suddenly embraces her, beginning to suffocate poor Yuzu. "Yuzu! You're safe!" Gongenzaka exclaims. "Gongenzaka…I can't breathe…" Yuzu said. "When I was just thinking I'd never see you again, to think I'd meet you here…! I, the man Gongen…Gongen-!" Gongenzaka sadly observes, but before he can finish the sentence, he bursts into tears.
"And who's this overly affectionate guy?" Crow asks. "Sheesh, you're overracting, Gon" Dennis calls out from the corner of the cell. "I told you we'd them here eventually!" He tells Gongenzaka. Dennis turns over on his bed "Hello, Yuzu" He greets her. "Dennis! You're here too?" Yuzu surprised to see him. "Yeah, I was Dueling with Kurosaki in the Darkness Dueling Arena and got captured" Dennis explains. "Kurosaki is here too?" Yuzu asks. "Yeah, and he's doing fine for the most part" Dennis replies. "For the most part?" Yuzu confuses. "His first day here, he got in a fight with 10 or so other prisoners, and was sent straight to solitary confinement" Dennis explains as Kurosaki was shown sitting on his bed. "You know all of these people, Boss Gon?" The red Common asked Gongenzaka. "Yeah. This girl is Yuzu Hiragi, my best friend" Gongenzaka introduces Yuzu. "Huh!?" The red Common shocked. "And that guy over there is Shingo Sawatari, who isn't my best friend" Gongenzaka introduces Sawatari. "Boss Gon's best friend!?" The red Common horrified. "And just his acquaintance!?" The green Common horrified. They get on their knees "We're so sorry!" Both of them bow apologetically, much to the embarrassment of everyone else in the room. "It really isn't that big of a deal…" Yuzu embarrasses. "By the way, Yuzu, do you know what's happened with Reiji Akaba and everyone else?" Gongenzaka asks. "Reira is safe. Right now, he's probably with Reiji Akaba. And for Yuya…" Yuzu explains. "What? You've seen Yuya!?" Gongenzaka asks in surprise. "No, not yet. But it seems like he's nearby" Yuzu corrects Gongenzaka. "We have to hurry up and get out of here to search for him" She states. "Aren't you the boss around here? Can't you do something?" Sawatari asks Gongenzaka. "No, and I'm not exactly the boss around here…" Gongenzaka admits. "The boss of this place is in another cell. From what I hear, he's been the head of this place for over 10 years!" Dennis explains.
Later the Lancers line up to get dinner. Dennis is served and walks away, but Yuzu's helping is tiny "Huh? That's it?" Yuzu indignation. "We've got to make sure there's enough for everyone!" The server claims, despite the clearly full stocks. "What're you talking about!? There's plenty left!" Yuzu tries to call him out. "Keep the line moving!" The prisoner behind Yuzu tells her. "I'm hungry too!" Another prisoner tells her. "If you're going to just complain, don't eat!" A third prisoner states. "You heard them, get going" The server tells Yuzu. Yuzu moves and Sawatari was next in line "Hey. I'm Shingo Sawatari" Sawatari haughtily introduces himself. "Go ahead and try and pull crap like that on me. I'll tell my Papa on you and you'll get punished so hard you'll regret it!" He threatens the server. That doesn't work either, and both Shinji and Crow were treated the same "Damn it!" Sawatari cursed. "So in the end, we all got treated the same" Shinji observes. "Forget about it, let's just eat" Crow suggests, heading off to join Gongenzaka and Dennis. "Ugh, of all the unreasonable people…" Sawatari complains. Yuzu suddenly notices someone in the line passing a Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier to the server, and receiving a large portion as a result. "That was a card…" Yuzu intrigued. "What're you doing, Yuzu? Get going!" Crow tells her. "Y-Yeah" Yuzu responds. As Yuzu heads off, a prisoner trips her up, spilling her meager meal all over the ground. "Yuzu!" Crow turns, gasp. "Oh man, what a waste! You'd better watch where you're walking!" The prisoner tells Yuzu. Before anyone can react "Whoops!" Another prisoner throws a bucket of water over Sawatari, Shinji and Crow's meals. "Sorry about that, I just tripped over this girl!" He claims. "Oh and, this is water I squeezed out of the cloth used to clean the bathrooms" The prisoner claims. "You bastard!" Sawatari exclaims. "You're picking a fight with us!?" Crow exclaims. "Hey, you guys! If you fight, it's straight to solitary confinement!" The dark-skinned guard tells them. "You guys…don't cause any more trouble" Gongenzaka tells them. "We'll share our food with you" He reassures them. "That aside, look" Dennis points out, an old man in an olive threadbare kimono. "He's the boss here" Dennis explains. "What?" Sawatari asks. "He's the boss?" Yuzu wonders. "Yuzu!" The Red commons said. "Are you okay?" the green Common asks. "Y-yeah…" Yuzu said. "He's got some exquisite food there…" Yuzu notes. "The boss of the prisoners is in an even higher position than the guards here!" The red Common explains. The boss eats silently before opening an eye to look at Yuzu.
After dinner "All right, you lot are going to clean this place until it shines" The blond guard tells Yuzu, Sawatari, Crow, Shinji and four other prisoners. "Right now!?" Yuzu shocked. "Hold it! We just finished washing all of the prisoner's dishes!" Crow indignantly protests. "Shut up and do it. Cleaning the bathrooms is the job if the newcomers for that week" The blonde guard replies. "And just to warn you, the boiler for the baths has been turned off. So if you try and take a shower when you should be cleaning you'll only get a cold one!" He warns them. "Umm excuse me…" One of the other Commons walks forward. "I came down with a cold this morning…" He claims as he holds up an Ally of Justice Light Gazer card to the blonde guard. "Card bribes!? Yuzu realizes. "And I'm suffering from muscle fatigue!" Another Common claims. "I'm currently suffering from malnutrition!" The third Common claims. "I'm feeling sleepy!" The fourth Common claims. Each of them hand a Jurrac Meteor, Ancient Flamvell Deity and Windmill Genex respectively to the blonde guard. "You guys are all free to go back!" The guard tells them. "Thank you!" The first Common said and he and the other three leaves. "You guys are going to do the rest!" The guard tells Yuzu, Sawatari, Crow and Shinji and walks to the door. "Wha-!?" Yuzu gasps. "Hey! There's definitely something wrong with this!" Sawatari protests. "And if you don't do it right, then you'll have to do it over, got it?" The guard warns them. "Hold it!" Sawatari calls out as the guard closed the door. "Damn it! What the heck is going on?!" Sawatari cursed.
Later, "No one told you?" Dennis asks. "Cards are as valuable as your life here. Cards are currency here. If you bribe the guards with cards, you get treated better" He explains. "That's why they gave us our deck back" Yuzu realizes. "If I had known that, I would've handed over some cards so I could eat" Sawatari admits. "Sawatari! Cards aren't money! You shouldn't use them just to bribe people!" Yuzu chastises him for thinking in that manner. "Don't tell me-Did you use your cards!? For bribing people?!" She realizes as she looks over at Gongenzaka and Dennis. "Gongenzaka! I never would've thought you'd use cards for something like this!" Yuzu scolds Gongenzaka. "That's not it!" The green Commons interrupts. "Boss Gon…for us…" He protests. "He didn't have a choice…" The red Common cries. "Don't say unnecessary things" Gongenzaka tells them. "No, please let me tell them!" The red Common begs Gongenzaka.
(Flashback)
"Before we came here, we had lost a Duel, had our decks stolen, and came here without a single card!" The red Common explains. "So then we got bullied horribly. And then Gon went to the guard and…" The green Common explains. Gongenzaka punched a hole in the concrete next to the blonde guard "Wh-what are you?" The blonde guard scared. Gongenzaka gave the guard two card "Cards. Now you better make sure those two can eat!" He tells the guard. "If he hadn't done that, then we probably would be…" The red Commons said. "Dennis also gave his cards too…" The green Commons explains as Dennis tosses a Spell and a Trap Card to the server and embedding them into the bar. "With that, you better let those two eat their fill, got it?" Dennis warns him cheerfully.

"Well Gon was going off, making himself look cool!" Dennis modestly notes. "That's what happened…" Yuzu understands. "But, I still think it's wrong! To use cards for something like that!" She states. "Yeah, I know" Gongenzaka agrees. The blonde guard then opens the cell bars "You've been called on. Get out here" He tells the group. "Called?" Yuzu confuses.
The Lancers and the Commons are taken to the boss's older-styled room, where the boss sits on top of a large block covered by a sheet, with his two attendants in the room with him. "So you're here? Our boss, Tokumatsu, has called you out himself!" The blue-robed attendant explains. "Tokumatsu?" Crow recognizes the name. "And where does he get off calling us out personally?" Sawatari ask. "What was that!?" The two attendants yell. "You shouldn't fight against these guys here…I'll just make this a hassle!" Dennis tries to pacify Sawatari, stating. "Bring'em out" Tokumatsu tell the group. "Your cards!" The blue-robed attendant tells the group. "Cards?!" Yuzu shocked. "If you want to enjoy your life here you better bring them over!" The blue-robed attendant tells the group. "I refuse!" Yuzu promptly states. "What was that?!" The blue-robed attendant asks. "I refuse as well!" Gongenzaka agrees. "If it's just giving out cards to only get on the good side of the boss…Then I, the man, Gongenzaka, don't have one card for that purpose!" He claims. "We have to get out of here as soon as possible! We aren't planning on settling down and enjoying ourselves here!" Yuzu states. "Boss!" The green Common gets worried. "It's fine, stay quiet" Gongenzaka reassures him. "Listen up. I'm the boss here, which means I'm the top of this place! So that means I make the rules!" Tokumatsu tells them. "You're all beneath me so you obey me! That's the common sense of this world!" He claims. "I won't! Cards are to be used for Dueling!" Yuzu insist. "Another brat who won't listen to reason…" Tokumatsu laments. "Then take a look at this!" He tells the group, and he leaps off the block that he's sitting on. His lackeys remove the white covering, revealing that the block is made up entirely of Duel Monsters cards, including a number of Synchro Monsters "Those are-!" Yuzu gasps, and when Tokumatsu lands he sends up a gust of wind similar to Gongenzaka's drawing action. "Do you know what these are? These are the cards of those who've lost when they challenged me in Duels in the 10 years I've ruled here!" Tokumatsu explains. "Duelists who've lost!?" Yuzu shocked. "Here, cards are the proof of who's on top! And Dueling is a sign of power!" Tokumatsu explains.
"A sign of power…! You're wrong! Duels are meant to be fun!" Yuzu replies. "What!?" Tokumatsu's eyebrows twitch at the word. "For fun, she says!? Boss this girl says Duelling here is for fun!" The green lackey comments and he laughs. "Don't show me that disgusting crackling face of yours!" Tokumatsu furiously tells the lackey. "S-Sorry!" The lackey apologizes. Tokumatsu turns to Yuzu "If you had just giving them, to me I would have let this slide but…I've changed my mind" He yells her. "Guard!" Tokumatsu calls out, and the blonde guard runs up "Yes, what do you need?" He asks. Tokumatsu throws a Harpie's Feather Duster at the door and embeds it in the bars "Bring me some Duel Disks. We're going to Duel now" He orders the guard. "Th-this is a rare card!" The blonde guard realizes. "Yes, I'll bring it right away!" He immediately complies. "Here, it's said that cards determine your fate. If you won't listen, you'll have to learn the hard way. You better prepare yourself! I'll knock some sense to you through a Duel!" Tokumatsu notes. "I wouldn't have it any other way!" Yuzu replies.
As the two face off "No, you don't get it yet. Those who fight against those on top are always crushed!" Tokumatsu comments. "We'll see if I get crushed or not!" Yuzu replies as she activates her Duel Disk. "Brat…" Tokumatsu calls Yuzu. "Let's go!" He declares, activates his own Duel Disk. "DUEL!" They both shout. Tokumatsu starts, adopting a pose "Hey, that stance is…!" Shinji recognize. "Yeah, I've seen him somewhere!" Crow recognize Tokumatsu. "My turn! I play the Spell Card: Flower Gathering from my hand!" Tokumatsu declares. "This cards effect allows me to Special Summon four "Flower Cardian" monsters with less than 100 ATK from my Deck in Attack Position!" He explains. "I Summon the Flower Cardians: Pine, Zebra Grass, Paulownia and Willows!" Tokumastu declares. The four tablet slot together (ATK: 100x4) "He Summoned four monsters at once!" Sawatari shocked. "Furthermore I activate the Spell Card: Flower Stacking from my hand!" Tokumatsu proceed. "This card allows me to choose 3 "Flower Cardian" monsters from my Deck and arrange them on top of my Deck in the order I choose!" He explains. "The three cards I choose are Flower Cardian Zebra Grass with Moon, Paulownia with Phoenix and Willow with Calligrapher!" Tokumatsu chooses, in order from top to bottom. "And here, I activate the effect of Flower Cardian Pine with Crane in my hand!" He declares. "With this, I'm able to Release Pine and Special Summon it!" Tokumatsu explains, and the new slat replaces Pine in the sequence (ATK: 2000). "Then, when this card is Special Summoned…I am able to draw one card!" Tokumatsu states and he draws Zebra Grass with Moon. "I activate the effect of the Zebra Grass with Moon that I just drew!" Tokumatsu declares. "By Releasing Zebra Grass, I Special Summon it!" He states (ATK: 2000). "When this card is Special Summoned, I draw one card!" Tokumatsu states and he draws Paulownia with Phoenix. "Next, I activate the effect of Paulownia with Phoenix I just drew!" He declares. "I Release Paulownia and Special Summon it!" Tokumatsu states (ATK: 2000). "Just as before, when Special Summoned, I can draw a card!" He explains and he draws the Willow with Calligrapher. "And I activate the effect of Willow with Calligrapher I just drew!" Tokumatsu declares. "I Release Willows and Special Summon it!" He states (ATK: 2000). "With this card Special Summon, I draw one card!" Tokumastu explains. "Amazing!" Dennis gasps. "He got four monster with over 2000 ATK in an instant!" He's impressed. "This card I drew was Flower Cardian Cherry Blossom with Curtain!" Tokumastu states as holds the card. "But there is no Cherry Blossom card on my Field. So this card is sent to the Graveyard" He states. As Crow and Shinji watch "Now then…" Tokumatsu steps forward. "I'm not done yet! I'm just getting started" He claims. "I activate the effect of Willow with Calligrapher!" Tokumatsu declares. "When this card is used as Synchro Material it makes all other monsters Level 2!" He explains. Lightning crackles over the joined Flower Cardians and they all become Level 2 (Willow with Calligrapher's LV: 2) (Zebra Grass with Moon's LV: 2) (Paulownia with Phoenix's LV: 2) (Pine with Crane's LV: 2). "Let's go! I tune my Flower Cardian Pine with Crane, Zebra Grass with Moon, Paulownia with Phoenix to my Level 2 Willow with Calligrapher!" Tokumastu declares. "Rain down! Become light and pour down! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Flower Cardian Lightshower!" He chants (ATK: 3000). "And he pulled off a Synchro Summon in his first turn too…!" Crow observes. "I set two cards and end my turn!" Tokumatsu declares. "Brat, I'll say this again! Cards is the sign of those on top, and Duelling is the sign of power!" He tells Yuzu.
"No matter how many times you say it, my beliefs won't change! Duels are for fun!" Yuzu replies. "My turn!" She declares and draws. "You're naive, brat!" Tokumatsu claims. "I activate Lightshower's effect!" He declares. "When my opponent draws a card, I deal 1500 damage to them!" Tokumatsu explains. Lightshower hurls a bolt of lightning at Yuzu from its umbrella (Yuzu's LP: 2500). "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Then that means whenever Yuzu draws, she's going to take huge damage!" Dennis realizes. "So that means she's got to defeat him before that happens huh?" Sawatari comments. "You aren't the only one who can Summon tons of monsters!" Yuzu claims. "What?!" Tokumastu surprised. "I, using the Scale 3 Tallis the Melodious Diva and the Scale 9 Dulcet the Melodious Sorceress, set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuzu declares. As the Pendulum Monsters arise in their Pendulum Zones "They use this kind of Summoning method outside of here now?" Tokumatsu surprised. "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 4 to 8" Yuzu states. "Simultaneously Summon!?" The green robe lackey surprised. "Swing, Pendulum of my Soul! Draw an arc of light across the aether! Pendulum Summon! Come, my monsters! First off is Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra! (ATK: 2600) Next, Aida the Melodious Diva! (DEF: 1200) And one more, Purcell the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu chants (DEF: 2500).
But Tokumatsu smiles "Continuous Trap Card Activate: Fraud Freeze!" He declares. "I can activate this card when my opponent Special Summons monsters from their hand! And those monsters are returned to their hands!" Tokumatsu explains. "What?!" Yuzu shocked, and all three of her monsters dissipated. "My god!" Dennis floored. "Her Pendulum Summoned monsters got shut-down like it was cheating!" He gasps. "So that means as long as that card exist, her Pendulum Summoning will be treated as cheating…" Sawatari muses in frustration. "And Tokumatsu's got Lightshower! Yuzu will take 1500 damage everything she draws!" Crow adds. "Yuzu…" Gongenzaka whispers. "Dueling has changed greatly the 10 years I've been in here it seems. But I'll take my undefeated Duelling from the past 10 years and break it like nothing!" Tokumatsu muses.
