Chapter 25
They soon returned to the table.
Sukuna apologized for their sudden departure. "We didn't realize we were in the presences of great sorcerers. We apologize if we offended you"
The woman named Yua was taken aback by his words. Chusi however smiled to them. So, he knows he is doing right by Chusi!
"It's quite all right, have a seat gentlemen, let's get you a fresh meal, it's gone cold already" Chusi said and she and Yua rose up to get more to eat.
Satoru took his seat but sighed. In fact he kept staring at Ryomen. "Why did you move me?" he asked. "I wanted to sit next to her!"
He smirked. "How can you see if she is interested in you if you keep having to look over your shoulder to see her face? How can you appreciate her smiles if you only see half of it? A conversation is held better when you sit as equals across from each other and not as strangers beside her."
Satoru's eyes widened in shock; did he not consider this? "I… never saw it like that before…"
"When you sit beside them, you don't hear everything they say, you cannot tell if they are pleased with your company in such a position. One can also read body language better this way too. You allow them to have your full attention."
Satoru froze to this but nodded. "I… I get it… thanks."
"I did this more for me than for you." Ryomen said with a grin, just as the ladies returned.
Chusi surprised him with a meal mainly full of meats and a few veggies on the side. Yua brought a savory dish to Satoru, but once more it took them both aback. They only met these ladies a few hours ago… and yet they knew what they preferred to eat? "Thank you for waiting gentlemen, I hope this is to your liking" Yua said.
They devoured their plates. And yet for some reason, it tasted a lot better than when they got a meal themselves! As everyone ate their fill, they savored the meal. "I would like to go back to the library, they have so many rare books!" Chusi decreed.
"May I join you? I am reading up on the concept of curse energy. I didn't realize there was a fundamental to it as well as a concept of its creation and usage." Ryomen asked.
"I would be delighted!" Chusi said with a blush to her face.
"I think I need my spa bath… Satoru… you can join me if you want to."
Satoru froze stiff. Ryomen smirked, as it was a personal invite, not to mention taking a bath near a woman is not common at all unless they have the woman's permission.
"Uh… if you are certain Miss Yua. I mean we just met and I don't want to be rude or anything…"
She giggled. "I don't mind, if you are uncomfortable, Satoru. I will take a short bath so you don't wait too long for me?" she suggested.
He peered to Ryomen.
Ryomen shot him 'Do what you want' look. So a small smile came over Satoru. "If I may join you miss, but, I ask that you place yourself in the bath first and I will join you after you have settled in."
Ryomen was giving him a thumbs up under the table. 'Finally, he's thinking things through. Then again I didn't think Toorus were this bold? Who knew?' he thought to himself.
But that thought began to grow rather greedy. Perhaps Chusi will offer him the same invitation?
He was quick to ignore that thought, just to be safe than sorry.
"Are you ready to go?" he asked Chusi.
She finished her meal and just had some tea, with a nod, they excused themselves to go to the library once more.

There was so much information.
Ryomen found books about the theories of curse energy, but not just curse either. There was divine, internal, elemental, soul, chakra…
"I never realized how verse one could be in energies around the world and within the body…" he said offhandedly. He found out that Chusi was impressed with his reading, he could read two massive books at once and yet retain the information from both books with great ease. He was drawn to the elemental aspect the most at the time, but then, went to chakra shortly after.
"I have heard about chakra energy being used but it depends on how strong the person's mind, body and soul is. All three have to be harmonized" Chusi explained.
"Indeed, I was looking over it as well. If one has a raging mind, the soul and body cannot sync with it, all three have to be connected, an even flow I should say, as they have to work with one another. Mind and soul enforce the body. Soul and body improve the mind. Mind and body contain and strengthen the soul… all three have to be adapted and adjusted to each other…"
"It would be something to try, wouldn't it?"
"Indeed, and yet, I feel that this is something I won't be able to do…"
Chusi paused. "Why do you think that?"
Ryomen took a moment to consider it. "I feel… that my mind isn't what it is suppose to be… even currently I can feel that this isn't how I am, and yet… I don't mind this."
Chusi gave him her full attention. "Chusi, you are an amazing woman. I… I can't help but feel that the me before you… is a lie…"
He didn't know how to really explain it, and yet, when he uttered those words, he regretted them. What if she thinks he is insane!?
However, her hand reached over. She took his lower left hand and said. "I think you are going to be just fine. Even if you may not remember yourself completely… I'll still be interested in you."
Ryomen never knew his heart could race that fast in his chest…
