Well this one was a little hard mainly because the Yu-Gi-Oh episode on YouTube that I was using suddenly disappeared so I had to use the manga.

Anyway it's done now so on with the show!

Don't forget I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh only Claire and the idea of the Millennium bracelet

Please read and review

Destiny is strange.

After ten minutes Joey still couldn't take his eyes off of his one new star chip, grinning and sniggering as if he was a child who had gotten hold of some chocolate that he wasn't supposed to have. They had to stop their walking as Joey was completely oblivious to the fact his friends were walking without him.

"This is so awesome, I can't believe it happened!" He laughed "am I cool or what?" He asked no one in particular but still louder than his first statement.

"Is there a time limit on how long he gets to crow?" Téa asked slightly annoyed, her hands on her hips as she waited for him to finish, yes she was proud of him but was he going to do this after every Duel?

"Hey cut him some slack Téa, did you ever think that Joey would beat Mai in a Duel?" Tristan asked her before looking back at his friend who was now using the sleeve of his bright green jacket to polish the new star chip. "I mean Joey who would have thought?"

"I knew he'd do it, I'm really proud of you Joey" Yugi said with a bright smile.

"You had me worried that you were going to lose at one point but I kept my hopes up." Claire nodded as she smiled at her friend.

"Yeah!" Joey cheered before everyone heard a loud grumble which made Joey's face fall and his hand go to his stomach. "All this Duelling made me hungry, did any of you guys remember to bring any food with ya?" He asked the group, they all shook their heads at him.

"Sorry Joey" they all said in unison which made Joey groan and bow his head slightly.

"What were we thinking coming here with no food, how are we ever gonna get through the rest of the competition without anything to eat?" He asked is despair.

"That's a good question Joey" Yugi agreed his hand going to his chin as he quickly thought back to what he had and hadn't seen on the island so far. "This Duelling really takes it out of you and I haven't seen any burger stands or restaurants since we got here."

"Well we better do something fast I need to have my five basic food groups or else its metabolic meltdown!" Téa panicked slightly with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Hey chill out you guys, I got it covered!" Tristan announced as he remembered something he did have with him. This made the group turn to him with huge smiles.

"Yeah?" They all asked together staring at Tristan. He pulled out a yellow book with a large picture of a mountain, lake and trees with a tent set up.

"Check it out the great outdoor survival guide" he said as he showed his friends the book, at this all four of their faces fell and they all let out small disappointed groans.

"Can we eat it?" Joey asked although he wasn't very hopeful that his friend would say yes, but as he watched Tristan start to flick through that idea quickly left his mind.

"Better than that it lists all the plants, fruits, berries and grasses we can eat!" Tristan said enthusiastically completely oblivious to his friends dismay that he didn't have any actual food. This made the others pull some disgusted faces but before anyone could say anything Joey piped up first as he got to the side of Tristan with his fists up.

"Do I look like a squirrel ya big doofus?"doffus?" he yelled suddenly Joey's expression changed, one that said he could smell something.

"I don't need your dumb book anyhow" he said as he straightened up smelling the air "I smell something cooking that way!" He announced turning to point in the direction before running the way he pointed "see ya!"

"He's hallucinating" Téa said with her hands on her hips as the rest of the gang stared on in shock.

"Don't be so sure, you know it wasn't his brain that beat Mai it was his nose" Tristan said before Téa, Tristan and Yugi ran after him Claire however did not.

"I'm sorry Yugi" she muttered more to herself before she turned on her heel and ran in the other direction towards Pegasus' castle, she hoped Yugi would forgive her.

Yugi, Tristan and Téa quickly caught up to Joey and they found the source of the smell that Joey picked up. It was freshly caught fish that had been skewered and were now roasting next to a small campfire. They were all pretty shocked that Joey was right.

"Oh man I just love barbequed fish!" Joey exclaimed he licked his lips as he could practically taste the fish from here.

"Smells good" Yugi agreed the smell made him realise just how hungry he actually was.

"Oh yeah and I bet it tastes even better!" Joey leapt over the rocks and dashed towards the campsite making the others gasp in disbelief.

"What makes you think that those fish are yours to eat?!" Téa asked him, was he seriously was about to take someone else's food? Joey stopped and turned back with a smile.

"Hey trust me we eat first and ask questions later, your stomachs will thank me" with this he charged off again.

"Joey!" Téa yelled after him "Oh he'd say anything to fill his belly" she fumed, why did he always have to think with his stomach?

"Some people have absolutely no self-control" Tristan agreed with a small nod of his head which made Yugi and Téa turn to him, Tristan was usually right behind Joey with his crazy ideas so what was going on? They got their answer as Tristan got up and also charged forward. "Joey wait for me!" This made Téa sigh and place a hand to her forehead.

"Hey Téa" Yugi said making Téa turn to him but she noticed that they were one person short "have you seen Claire? I thought she was right behind us." Yugi worried, he didn't want her on this strange island by herself, while he knew she could defend herself he was still worried. What if she got hurt?

"No, I thought she was too, maybe she'll be back in a minute?" Téa suggested before looking back at the two boys "come on let's sort these two out first and then we can go looking for Claire." This made Yugi nod as they both started towards the cliffs edge but he kept glancing back, his wide purple eyes scanning the treeline hoping that he would see Claire emerge, however there was no sign of her. When they got to Joey and Tristan they had already sat down, holding each end of a skewer and about to take large bites.

"Man, this looks awesome" Joey was practically drooling at the cooked fish while Tristan touched his and then waved his hand to cool it off as the fish was hot.

Not far from where they were sitting a man with long dark blue hair tied back in a low ponytail pulled himself up onto the top of the cliff edge and saw the group stealing his fish, this made him angry especially when he heard two of them about to eat his meal.

"Enjoy you fish thieves as this is your last meal!" He shouted at them which made the group turn to him, he was a male with tanned skin, clearly from spending a lot of time outside, he had a spear in one hand that had another few fish on it that he had caught, however the only thing he was wearing was some old dark blue shorts that looked slightly frayed and a little ripped. "How dare you eat my fish you thieving poachers has no one taught you manners?" but before he could say anything else a massive wave came up and soaked him, knocking him back into the water.

"So can we eat now?" Joey asked staring at the spot the odd male had been standing but the man's hand came back up and he soon appeared, pulling himself back up.

"Alright let's try that one more time" he muttered, he then got back to his original standing position.

"I knew this was a bad idea" Téa murmured as she placed her forehead onto the palm of her hand.

"How dare you steal my fish you bottom feeding thieves" the tanned man said as he walked closer to the group, this made Joey stand up waving his hand as if trying to defuse the situation.

"Hey chill out man it's just a few fish" he said.

"A few fish that do not belong to you!" The man continued; the group felt that this statement of Joey's may not have helped in fact it seemed to make him more annoyed. "And to steal a fisherman catch proves that you have no honour!" He continued shaking his fist at Joey. Yugi's eyes caught sight of the red velvet material on his right hand and looked at it.

"A Dueling glove?" Yugi murmured to himself before his eyes widened in realisation on who was standing before them "wait aren't you Mako Tsunami the top ranked ocean Duellist?" Yugi asked, he was pretty sure he was but he had to make sure. The man looked down at the tri-colour haired boy before he addressed him.

"And who might you be?" He asked but before Yugi could answer Joey chimed in.

"Yeah, you're that freaky fish guy" he said his eyes wide. This angered Mako even more.

"I am not a freaky fish guy!" he yelled at Joey clearly offended by what Joey had said. "I am Mako Tsunami Duellist extraordinaire of the seven seas!" He announced while pointing at himself.

Téa who had sat quietly through this whole exchange wishing that Joey would stop upsetting the man by his remarks noticed something pink on the man's head she then saw what it was and began to laugh slightly.

"What are you laughing at?" Mako asked a little confused, was she laughing at him? Téa calmed her giggles and pointed up to the man's goggles.

"Your head! You've got company" she said still trying to stifle the last few giggles. This made Joey and Tristan look and burst out laughing.

"You got an Octopus on your head!" Joey exclaimed. Mako reached up with a growl and grabbed the body of the octopus tightly and pulled it off of his head with a swift sharp movement before turning around and throwing the octopus as hard as he could do it would land in the water.

"Off with you, you stupid small fry!" He exclaimed at the octopus went soaring through the air. This made Joey and Tristan cry out as they rushed to the very edge of the cliff.

"No don't!" They exclaimed together but they were too late and they watched as the octopus quickly went out of sight. Despairing cries of "our octopus!" and "I wanted to eat that" came from both the boys. With a huff Mako turned from the boys who were still staring longingly at the sea and looked back at Yugi questionably.

"You're telling me those two are here as Duellists?" He asked as he jabbed a thumb in the direction of the two he was referring. Yugi smiled and sighed slightly as he stepped forward to talk to Mako.

"I'm Yugi Muto, sorry about your fish." He said hoping an apology would hopefully do some good. The sound of his name made Mako blink.

"You? You're Yugi Muto the only Duellist to defeat Seto Kaiba?" He asked before quickly laughing "what a fine surprise, it would be my very great honour to face you in a Duel." This made Yugi's shoulders relax slightly seeing the other laugh.

"Same here Mako" Yugi agreed with a nod.

"I must apologise, I've been ungrateful if you are friends of Yugi Muto then please, come sit down, eat your fill." Mako said, that was a very quick turnaround from annoyed and angry to happy and welcoming, Yugi shrugged it off though, it was probably nothing.

"Thanks!" Joey and Tristan cheered before running as fast as they could to sit where they originally where and picked up their fish again. "Feeding frenzy!" They began taking bites out of their fish very quickly Mako passed Yugi and Téa a fish each and they too were eating.

"Oh man this Mako guy sure knows how to cook" Tristan said in between bites enjoy his fish getting other similar responses from his friends.

Five minutes later and the fish were all gone, nothing left but the bones.
"Man, that was good!" Joey said as he rubbed his full stomach.

"Where did you learn to cook like that?" Téa asked as she leaned forward slightly.

With a laugh Mako soon began explaining "I have had to learn to defend myself since I was a tadpole, but it was my father who taught me how to fish and cook" he explained cheerily.

"So what brings you here to the competition Mako?" Yugi asked, he was curious on what motivated others to be in this contest, maybe someone was in a similar position to him.

"I was raised on a fishing boat where I learnt to love the sea so if I win here" Mako paused for a moment as he glanced out at the blue ocean that looked like it had diamonds on its waters with the way it sparkled. "I would love a vessel of my own, of course I'd have to beat a few Duellists first." He turned back and gave a hearty laugh.

"Your own boat how great would that be?" Téa asked "how great would that be? Living life out on the big blue sea" to her it sounded amazing waking every moment to see the gorgeous sea and sky and going to different places.

"Yes the ocean is amazing and we have shared a special bond since I was born, I can tell when the sea is happy by the way it sparkles and..." he paused to take a breath his voice going lower and more serious for his next sentence "when it is angry by the shifting tides." He had all of them leaning in hanging off his every word turning and seeing their expressions made him realise how deeply he was getting into it which made him feel slight embarrassed a she scratched the back of his head. "Excuse me I didn't mean to be so serious."

"Oh no don't apologize" Téa exclaimed.
"Oh no don't apologize" Téa exclaimed.

"You saved our hides, we'd be starving without you, it's been really great" Joey said as he stood up "thanks again."

"Leaving so soon, are you?" Mako asked as Yugi also stood up and looked around.

"Yeah, sorry but I need to go find my sister" he said still worried about her, where could she have gone to?

This made Joey blink as he looked around, he hadn't realised that Claire wasn't among them, when did she disappear?

"It was nice meeting you Mako" Téa called as she also began to look for Claire.

"Maybe we'll meet up in the competition" Yugi suggested with a small smile as the group began to leave. Once they all had their backs to him Mako picked up his spear.

"Yes we will" he muttered as he stood up "sooner than you think my friend Now halt Yugi!" Mako then shouted to Yugi. Yugi stopped and turned around only to have Mako's spear land inches from his own foot this made Yugi gasp in fright as he stared wide eyed at the spear, thank goodness that wasn't his foot. This made Mako chuckle that was only to get Yugi's full attention back to him.

"I treated you to dinner perhaps you will, honour me with a Duel" Mako suggested as he crossed his arms.

"You're nuts!" Joey shouted angrily he seriously threw a spear at Yugi?

"No but I am an expert fisherman and you have taken my bait" Mako explained before laughing.

"What bait?" Téa slightly confused she pulled Yugi back slight from the spear.

"Why the fish of course!" Mako exclaimed gesturing to the dying ambers of the campfire. "I laid it out and lured you three right in!" He said before his grin grew wider. "But I never expected to catch Yugi Muto."

"Ah fuck this crazy chicken of the sea" Joey growled.

"Can't we just give the guy back a few fish? Tristan asked a little lamely although he was sure what the answer was going to be.

"I reeled in another Duellist a short time ago but he was not a worthy opponent." Mako explained before pointing at Yugi "but a Duel against you Yugi would be a true test!" Mako announced with a confident look in his eyes.

"But….I need find Claire" Yugi protested, he felt a little conflicted, he wanted to Duel Mako but his was worried about his sister.

"We can look for Claire after you beat this guy Yue" Joey said making Yugi turn to him "and if it makes you feel any better I can have a quick look in the woods while ya Duel." Joey offered this made Yugi feel a bit better surely she would be near here so Joey wouldn't have to go far. So Yugi nodded at his friend making him turn and run back in the other direction. As Yugi turned the puzzle flashed and the next moment Yugi seemed to stand taller and more confident.

"Mako Tsunami I accept your challenge." He said making Mako grin more her then pointed further up the cliff to a Duel box sitting near the edge.

"Perfect, that is where we shall Duel" with that the group followed Mako and both Mako and Yugi sat down at the table. "The playing field is equally split my half is Umi the ocean and yours is the wasteland."

"And the stakes Mako?" Yugi asked his arms crossed as he sat up straight his left leg crossed over his right one.

"I wager two Star chips" Mako said as he pulled out two Star chips from his Duelling glove. Yugi nodded in agreement and did the same both placing the chips on the table. Mako was excited finally a worthy opponent. "Now let the battle begin!" Mako announced. "Duel!" Both Yugi and Mako said at the same time.
"This should be some match" Téa said as she looked on anxiously, all this was new to them.

"This should be some match" Téa said as she looked on anxiously, all this was new to them.

"Sink that soggy sucker Yugi!" Joey said as he had just returned, notably without Claire.

"Any sign of her?" Téa asked in concern to which Joey solemnly shook his head.

"Nota thing, it's like she's vanished" Joey said before looking up at Yugi, the other had given him a quick glance noting that he was back and unfortunately without his sister, Yugi's sharp eyes turned back to Mako.

"I'm curious to see how you will combat with my mighty denizens of the deep" Mako said confidently as he played his card. Unfortunately Yugi was unable to see the monster, all he saw was a dark shadow under the water with large yellow eyes.

"What's this?" Yugi asked himself, shocked that he was unable to see the monster "his monster is hiding underwater...how can I choose what card to play when I can't even see what I'm fighting?"

"This I don't like" Joey said as he also stared at the table the card was there on the field however no one could actually see the monster that was hiding.

"The ocean conceals many things beneath its shifting surface and since my cards are all-water creatures they can use it to their advantage" Mako explained with a grin he had caught the other Duellist off guard with this too causing them to hesitate.

"As long as that thing stays submerged, I can't attack" Yugi said to himself before having a look at his hand trying to decide what to do, but before he could Mako spoke up once more.

"I promise he won't stay submerged for very long" Mako said enjoying that he had made The Yugi Muto sweat and un easy, he knew he was going to enjoy this match. He could see the slight panic on Yugi's face, he had no idea what his card was, clearly this was Yugi's first encounter with sea-based Duel Monsters, and he will learn very quickly that the sea is a powerful ally to have. For one it gave his monsters a field power bonus and conceals them making the creature unknown to the opponent and making them even more lethal.

Yugi figured that he better prepare for whatever was down there with a strong defence as he possibly could, he had to guess about how strong it was.

Yugi figured that he better prepare for whatever was down there with a strong defence as he possibly could, he had to guess about how strong it was.

"Somethings fishy, how the heck is he gonna be able to fight if he can't see?" Joey asked feeling a little frustrated at this situation.

"Beats me" Téa said with a little shrug.

"This is totally bogus!" Tristan exclaimed as he threw his arms up in the air.

"It seems that my ocean-based strategy has taken you by surprise Yugi" Mako said with a laugh as he noted that Yugi still hasn't made his move. Yugi admitted to himself that it has taken him by surprise but he knew that he could give Mako a good fight. Pulling a card out of his hand finally feeling a little bit more confident that he had a good play.

"I call upon The Horned Imp!" He announced playing the card in face up attack position. A large muscular human creature with dark skin, large pointed ears and a horn on its bald head appeared, standing in a fighting pose the creature had long sharp nails at the end of its fingers ready to do combat it had 1300 attack points and 1000 defence points.

"Now Feind Kraken! Ensnare him!" Mako ordered after he said this many large pale yellow tentacles with red suckers rose up from the ocean and wrapped around the imp tightly, one grabbing the imps arm, one wrapped tightly around it's waist and another around a leg, after a little struggle the Kraken lifted the Imp effortlessly into the air.

"Attack!" Yugi declared however it was useless as the Imp was now immobilized as the creature's tentecals had wrapped more and more around Yugi's monster, it's lard head surfacing for a moment as the creature caused the water to become turbulent and the creatures' bright yellow eyes were on its struggling prey.

"What is that?" Téa asked as she watched in slight awe.

"I don't know, but whatever it is, it's bad news for Yugi, his Imp is done for" Joey said as he also stared at the thing as it started to drag Yugi's creature under the water, this caused Yugi's life points to drop from 2000 to 1740.

"Well done my Kraken!" Mako praised the monster that had once again disappeared under the waves.

"Wow and that was just his opening move!" Téa exclaimed.

"You're good Mako, a brilliant opening play" Yugi commented as he moved his Horned Imp card to the grave.

"I am pleased you appreciated it" Mako said with a grin before looking at Yugi, "though I very much doubt you Imp did."

"Well now I know what I'm up against" Yugi said to himself as he stared in slight shock at the space that the Kraken had taken up.

"Yes the mighty ocean commands respect!" Mako exclaimed in glee "as do the creatures that inhabit it." Yugi thought for a moment, maybe he could prepare an attack that will destroy his creatures, even though he couldn't see them. With this thought in mind Yugi pulled another monster from his hand and played it in defence mode, he just hoped that he could pull a certain magic card to boast the attack power.

"Feral Imp!" Yugi announced as that green furry type gargoyle creature appeared with a loud shriek. The large green imp was crouched with it's wings shielding it's back. Yugi was confident that his Feral Imp should be able to dispense Mako's sea creatures, no matter how far deep they were hiding, with this thought in mind he ended his turn.

"I am familiar with your feral monster and it's electrical attack" Mako said with a grin as he played his next card. "So for my next card...I play! My Giant Jellyfish in defence mode." Mako put the card sideways, but instead of being under the water the large light blue jellyfish sat above it. Now why was it sitting above the water? This made Yugi feel a little worried as he stared at the creature. Seeing Yugi staring nervously at the Jellyfish Mako laughed.

"Come on Yugi! My Giant Jellyfish isn't scared, boil it, grill it, maybe even fry it." Mako said as he grinned confidently at Yugi, making the others sharp purple eyes snap up at him.

"Alright Mako you asked for it! I play my magic card Horn of the Unicorn and equip it to my Feral Imp, raising his attack power by 700!" As Yugi said this he played the magic card down onto the field and once he had done that electricity danced around the Imp as the horn on its head started to grow larger. "Then I'll turn my Imp from defence mode to attack mode." Feral Imp attack had increased from 1300 to 2000.

Alright" Joey said in slight excitement as he had a guess on what Yugi was planning.

"What?" Téa asked as she looked over at Joey. Joey turned to her with a big grin on his face.

"Yugi can't see Mako's most monsters but he knows that they're water based monsters which means that they're weakness is." Téa interrupted Joey as she finally figured it out and with a excited gasp she exclaimed.

"Electricity! And water conducts electricity which means that Mako's monsters are vulnerable to Yugi's Imp's electrical attack." Téa smiled happily, Yugi was always able to figure these things out .
"Feral Imp attack the sea with Magic Lightning!" Yugi commanded. The Imp let out a piercing shriek as electricity surged through its body before seemingly collecting at the massive horn. The electricity finally shot from the horn dancing along the water to the large shadow where the Fiend Kraken lay. But suddenly the lightning seemed to be pulled away from it's original target to the jellyfish which made Mako chuckle as everyone watched at the Jellyfish was hit with all the lightning. But instead of being defeated it grew in size.

"The Jellyfish just absorbed the lightning attack, but...how?" Yugi asked looked a little perplexed why hadn't his attack worked?
"That my friend is because my Giant Jellyfish acts a an lightning rod when it is on the field absorbing any and all electrical attacks that you throw at it, and when it does it grows bigger and stronger." Mako explained as he enjoyed watching Yugi struggle.

"What the heck?!" Joey exclaimed in frustration as he gripped his hands into fists. "Electricity doesn't even frigging work?"

Yugi really was struggling in this Duel, Mako was a very good Duellist, however it also felt like he was not only battling with Mako's sea creatures but the immense power of the sea itself. He had to have something that could beat this seemingly impenetrable fortress. Yugi thought that he would need to fall back as far as he can.

"Do any of your cards have the power to stand against my ocean pets?" Mako mockingly asked. This made Yugi frown slightly as he started to play his card.

"First I play my Silver Fang, and then I'll turn him savage with the magic card the Full Moon which will boast his attack points!" He announced as he played the cards. A wolf with light green fur and sharp yellow eyes sitting up and yowling at the large moon that hovered above Yugi's side of the field. The wolfs attack raised from 1200 to 1560 and it's defence went from 800 to 1040.

"Oh he looks savage alright, but I'm afraid that you have wasted that monster for don't forget that the moon also controls the ocean's tides" Mako said as he drew his next card and smiled. "Get ready Yugi because I'm going to show you the true terrors of the deep." Mako announced as he placed his new monster card on the field. "Rise from the depths of the ocean my Mighty Kairyu-Shin!"
The waves became more choppy and started to get bigger and bigger as a massive blue snake light creature with fins on the side of its head it's mouth looked like it was filled with sharp pin like teeth. Because of the field power bonus it's attack points rose from 1800 to 2340 and it's defence from 1500 to 1950.

"What a beast!" Yugi gasped at the size of the monster taking up Mako's side of the field.

"Yes it is and you're about to feel it's wrath now Kairyu-Shin attack the wolf!" Mako said the waves rose up suddenly in a massive tidal wave that crashed into the wolf causing it to howl as it was quickly swept away this caused Yugi's life points to go down to 340.

"No my Silver Fang!" Yugi cried out in dismay as he watched the poor wolf disappear.

"Gone swallowed my the waves, however that wasn't the only thing my attack did" Mako said as he pointed down at the field "look at the field." Yugi looked down and gasped that was only one small circle inside one of the squares on his side of the board that was land the rest was water, but how? This made Mako laugh "that is the awesome might of my Kairyu-Shin, his attack is so strong that he can change the field! You're lucky there's a tiny bit of land however not many monsters will fit on that tiny island and I bet you don't have a single water monster in your deck" Mako exclaimed with deligh."And according to the new rules if you are unable to play a card you lose the Duel!"

"Oh no!" Téa exclaimed with worry "come on Yugi, there's gotta be a way to beat his ocean monsters, right Joey?" She turned to look at her friend.

"I don't know, it looks really bad, he's got very little of the field to play his cards on. But we gotta believe he can" Joey said as he stared at the two in the Duel box.

"I am impressed that you have lasted this long against the mighty ocean however all men give pause to the savage power of the mighty ocean, including great fisherman" at the last part Mako looked down looking a little sad this made Yugi gasp as his eyes widened.

"You mean your father" Yugi said it came out more of a statement than a question but it felt right. Mako sighed as he placed his hand face down on the table as his memories flooded in his mind.

"He was a great fisherman, he taught me my love of the sea, but...one day the sea...the sea took him." Mako explained
The memory of that day came to him. They were out on their boat when Mako's father pointed out a storm coming in. Mako could hear his younger self asking if it was a big one and his father's response of maybe a d that his father never took any chances when it came to the sea.

"I was just a child, but I loved going out our little boat, just the two of us and the beautiful ocean around us, I never suspected that it would turn so quickly on us." Mako explained as his eyes stayed closed, Yugi listened intently finding similarities between him and his grandpa's relationship as with Mako with his father.

"My father was right before we knew it the sea went from calm and serene to a raging maelstrom, our little boat became a toy for the sea.". Mako continued as he remembered how he tried holding on to the side of the boat, yelling to his father that he couldn't hold on, he remembered the fear filling him that he would be tossed into the sea. His father moved over to him quickly and moved him to the mast and began to tie him to it so he would be safe. He remembered how calm his father was despite the chaos around them. Mako remembered the huge wave that came towards them and calling out for his father to look out but before he could do anything the wave crashed into their tiny boat.

"When the storm calmed down and the sky cleared our tiny boat was washed up on shore" Mako finally opened his eyes to look up at Yugi "my father was right I was perfectly safe but because he had to stop to tie me down he didn't have a chance to secure himself down. I blamed myself and thought that I lost him forever but then I noticed that our little lifeboat was missing. However I don't know if it was lost in the storm or if my father was able to use the life boat. I've got to know if he is out there alive somewhere." He finished as he picked up his cards.

"Mako" Yugi whispered feeling like he understood Mako more and felt there was a lot of similarities between him and Mako.

"That is why I Duel, it is why I am here I need to win that prize money to get myself a boat to search for him but to also honour him by becoming the best fisherman that I can be, that is why I can't lose this Duel." He said as he glared at Yugi, he was determined to win this Duel.

"I understand how you feel Mako believe me but as I am also Duelling for the sake a loved one. Which is why I can't let you win this Duel" Yugi said as h also gave Mako a small determined glare. He looked down at the board, with now only 5% of the field as land he could only play one monster. He drew his card, this was going to be his last gamble. "Here I go" he announced as he played his monster. "Giant Soldier of Stone in defence mode." The massive stone creature was kneeling on the island barely fitting on the space it made the patch it was sitting on look like a miniature island and because of the land it was on it also got a field power bonus raising it's attack from 1300 to 1690 and it's defence from 2000 to 2600.

"I see what you're going to do, you're going to move your stone soldier into the water to create another island, good idea" he praised before grinning more and placing another monster on the field. "However that strategy is going to be useless as I am going to play more monsters" His card couldn't be seen, however the shadow looked suspiciously like a shark. "Now my monsters surround him!" the shark, Fiend Kraken and Kairyu-Shin did just that trapping the stone creature on the tiny island. Mako began to laugh as he believed that he had beat Yugi, he couldn't attack him and he couldn't play anymore monster. However he stopped quickly as he heard Yugi chuckling and looked over.

"Mako I was waiting for this moment" Yugi said as he continued to grin at the other causing Mako to be confused.

"What do you mean?" He asked as he stared bewildered had he lost his mind? "You're trapped there's nothing you can do." Yugi however ignored this comment and switched his Giant Solider of Stone into attack mode. "What are you doing? All of my monsters are submerged you shouldn't be able to attack!"

"I never said that I was attacking your monsters" Yugi said with a grin causing Mako to look up at him even more confused. "I'm going to attack something I put on the field myself" Yugi explained as he pointed upwards "the moon! Now Giant Solider destroy the moon!" With that order the Soldier pulled out one of it's swords that sat on it's shoulder before thrusting the sword into the moon. The moon had large cracks appear on the surface before it shattered. Once the moon was gone the tide began to rapidly pull away.

"No the sea! The tide is pulling away!" Mako gasped in horror as his three sea creatures now lay beached on the land.

"The moon raised the water level just as the real moon affects the tide, my moon card created a high tide and improved your Kariyu-Shin's tidal wave attack. With the moon gone the tide has now gone back to low tide, leaving your monsters stranded helplessly on the shore." Yugi explained as the three creatures twitched around the Stone Soldiers feet. "Now that your monsters are exposed I can attack them" he said as he played two cards one was Curse of Dragon and the other was a magic card called Burning land. They yellow skeletal dragon took flight with a load shriek and at Yugi's command breathed red hot flames from it's mouth cooking all of Mako's creatures and taking his life points down to zero.

"No I lost!" Mako exclaimed in despair.

"Yes Yugi did it!" Téa cheered happily as she jumped up and down.
"Smells like barbequed squid!" Tristan and Joey exclaimed as they fist pumped the air.

"You're a really good Duellist Yugi" Mako said as he gave the two Star Chips to Yugi this made Yugi smile as he placed the Star Chips in his Duelling glove taking him up to five stars.

"You're not bad yourself" he said as he smiled at the other.

"Well you have taken me down to my last Star Chips but I'm not out yet so I'll just have to start over." Mako said with a smile as he held out his hand for Yugi to take. Yugi gladly took it.

"Let's both do our best!" Yugi said before moving away they waved and said bye to Mako Yugi now back to little Yugi looked towards the forest now he had to find Claire.

Meanwhile up at the castle Claire had gotten around to the back wall stopping at a certain spot she stopped and carefully examined her surroundings making sure that no one was there watching. Once she was sure no one was there she pushed in one of the bricks of the castle, revealing a secret door and a dark passage that lead into the castle. With a deep breath she slipped inside before the door shut once more.

Hm...what is Claire up to *sniggers* I know~ but let's see if anyone can guess.

I hope that you enjoyed this rollercoaster and I hope that I continue to see you all in the next one.
