Madison, Alex, and Zor were racing down through the woods as Madison starts explaining to Alex about what the birds might have said to her.
"She's locked up in her attic room." she spoke as she was mentioning about Cinderella. "From what I'm thinking, her stepmother might have figured out that she has gone to the ball with me and danced with the prince."
"After she receive word about the whole glass slipper."
"Exactly."
Finally, they reached to the chateau, but to their surprise was that the coach of the Grand Duke's was there. Alex looked at the coach and noticed that he was still in there before going out. Until he thought of an idea.
"I'll try keeping him busy, while you go and help your friend." he said to her.
Madison nods her head in agreement, but before she walks off, she smiled to him and kissed him on the cheek. Zor just saw that moment and covered his eyes but let out some squeaking sounds like he was giggling. Alex looked at Madison as he smiled and watched her go off to the other side of the chateau while he goes straight towards the coach as he hollered for the Duke.
Madison quickly got to the back of the chateau. Seeing Major was still in his stables and Bruno was asleep. She made a stop as she looked at the tower, seeing that window which Lucifer will be falling out of it soon, she thought of an idea and looked at her Bearded Dragon.
"Zor, I got a job for you. You still want to get that cat?" she asked, and Zor nodded his head.
She starts whispering to him in his tiny earhole and starts telling him something. Zor's tail started to wag, and the excitement starts coming to him.
"You got it?"
Zor nodded his head as he smiled the idea. Madison gently placed him down to the ground and Zor got off until he looked up at the tower, waiting for the right moment for the cat to fall down. Madison quietly entered the kitchen, seeing no one is around and went to the other direction that leads to the attic.
Going up so many stairs, Madison kept on going, even rest a little but continued to go up. And after taking several steps, Madison finally reached to the top and saw the door in front of her. Madison trying to turn and noticed that it was still locked but then starts knocking.
"Ella? Ella are you in there?" she spoke.
"Maddie?" Cinderella spoke as she was on the other side of the door, but her voice sounded distress.
"Yes, it's me. Your bird friends came to me and tried to tell me you that need help. What happened?"
"Oh, Maddie. It's my stepmother. She locked me in, and I can't get out." the young maid explain. "She... she must have figured out that I have gone to the ball."
"Where's the key?" Madison asked.
"It's with my stepmother. Jaq and Gus are going to get but it's impossible."
"Nothing's impossible, Ella."
Madison looks down at the lock and was in her thoughts. She thought of maybe try using her magic to unlock the door, but she couldn't. Otherwise... it will change the whole movie and the mice will bring the key for nothing.
"Maddie, you need to leave. My stepmother may find it suspicious of you being up hear with me."
"I'm not leaving you here."
"You have to go. Like you said, nothing's impossible. If my friends are going to try their best to get the key, then they will do that. Just go, I'll be alright."
Madison stared at the door as she listened to Cinderella's voice. She moved away slowly from the door and starts going down the stairs. But as she goes down, she spotted someone going up the stairs. It was Lucifer. She looked at him and notice he was holding a cup in his mouth, and he realized he was going to trap one of the mice. Which it was Gus. Luckily, that cat didn't see her and quickly teleported to somewhere.
A second later, Madison appeared to the spot that was close to the carriage and chateau. Luckily, no one notice her and also noticed the door was opened. The Tremaine family will think that she has returned from her stroll and the Duke will asked her if she could try on the slipper. Madison took a deep breath and starts walking towards the entrance. She starting to hear a voice which it was the Grand Duke's. He was reading the royal proclamation. Madison quietly snuck in without anyone noticing and stood beside Alex as he was inside with the Duke and the Messenger, who was carrying the glass slipper.
Alex noticed her beside him and was about to say something, but Madison shook her head a little, meaning to not to say a word and the two continued to listen to the Duke but also heard the stepsisters' voices as they were looking at the slipper.
"Why, that's my slipper!" Drizella spoke as she was admiring it, but the Messenger hid it away from her.
"Well, I like that! It... it's my slipper!" said Anastasia.
The Messenger hides it from her and Drizella. Madison faintly shook her head a little but then saw them starts fighting over the slipper.
"These girls are crazy." Alex whispered to Madison.
"What do you think? They only want to marry the prince." she whispered back.
"Girls, girls! Your manners." Lady Tremaine said to her daughters and looked at the Grand Duke, "A thousand pardons, Your Grace. Please continue."
"Yes, quite so." said the Duke and continued reading.
Suddenly, to Madison, she notices something that was beside the wicked stepmother. She spotted the mice in the teacup and saw Jaq coming out as he was heading straight towards the pocket without getting caught. Gus gently lowered Jaq into the pocket and the leading mouse finally got the key. He starts lifting the key up towards Gus until suddenly, Lady Tremaine's hand started to more. Jaq quickly back in and Gus went back into the teacup. Madison felt her heart was pounding from the suspense as Lady Tremaine was adjusting the key in her pocket.
"Oh... So be it." The Duke finished the proclamation and yawn as the Messenger handed him a chair to sit on.
"You must be quite fatigued, Your Grace. May we offer you some tea?" Lady Tremaine asked as she was about to pour tea.
But Madison knew that Gus was in teacup and tried to dodge the hot liquid of tea until the Grand Duke spoke to the stepmother.
"Thanks for the offer, but no, we must proceed with the fitting." he paused her which Madison let a small breath of relief.
"Of course. Anastasia, dear." Tremaine called to her daughter.
Anastasia was already sitting on a chair while the Messenger was near him. Madison and Alex watched he slips the slipper on her foot. Alex looked shocked as he couldn't believe that the slipper looked like it fit her, but Anastasia smiled.
"There! I knew it was my slipper. Exactly my size. I always wear the same size. As soon as I saw it, I said..."
As she was about to continue her sentence, the Messenger reveals that Anastasia's foot was too big for the small shoe.
"Oh! Well... it... it may be a trifle snug today. You know how it is... dancing all night. I can't understand why." said Anastasia as the Messenger tries to fit the slipper in her foot, "It's always fit perfectly before. I don't think you're half trying! Mother, can you..."
"Shh. Be quiet, my dear. We mustn't disturb His Grace." Lady Tremaine said as she looked at the sleeping Duke.
"Who on earth that woman married to? A troll?" Alex whispered to Madison.
Madison hid her smile and tries not to laugh as she was keeping a straight face but then notice the mice as they got the key out of Lady Tremaine's pocket. But with Gus's tail was wrapped around a teapot, it started tipped forward and Gus felt a hot drop of tea. He let out a yelp and both he and Jaq to slip down of Tremaine's dress to the floor. Thank goodness they the Tremaines didn't hear any noise or notice that they got the key but now they have to go up the stairs. Madison watched them go until a banging sound startled her. She looked to see Anastasia kicking the Messenger to the piano with her slipper.
"Why can't you hold still a minute?"
"Oh, my word!" the Grand Duke exclaimed as he was a woke from the noise and looked at Anastasia kicking the Messenger. "Enough of this! The next young lady, please."
"Bet her foot is much bigger than hers." Alex whispered again.
Madison tries not to laugh but then hit his side as she gave him a smirk. Alex smiled back to her and continued to watch. Including Madison as well but worried for the mice to make it up the stairs.
Back to Jaq and Gus...
They squeezed through the bottom of the door with the key. Gus was so exhausted from the steps, but Jaq was in a hurry.
"Come on, come on! Hurry!" he said to his friend.
Gus looked up and stuttered as he saw more stairs that it looks like it never ends until he fainted. Jaq quickly picked him and gently slapped him to wake him up.
"Gus-Gus, Gus-Gus. Aw, come on. Look, Look. It's just up there Come on!" he said and the two starts working up the stairs with the key.
In the room, Cinderella was crying as the door was still locked. Feeling that all her hopes and dreams are going to be gone forever until she heard voices. She looked through the keyhole and saw Jaq and Gus with the key.
"Us a-comin', Cinderelly. Us a-comin'! Us'll get you out." said Jaq as he smiled.
"You've got the key. How did you ever manage it?" Cinderella asked as she was smiling until she gasped as she saw a cat trapping Gus and the key in a cup.
It was none other than Lucifer himself.
"Lucifer! Let him go, Lucifer! Please, let him go! Let him go." Cinderella begged but the cat wickedly smiled as he refused.
A few mice heard Cinderella's beg and saw Lucifer with a cup. Jaq went out again and he was furious that his friend was trapped.
"Let him go! Let him out! Let him out! Here! Here, R-ucifee!" Jaq shouted as he grabbed a hold of the cat's tail and starts biting it.
The cat yelped in pain and let out a big jump. Jaq tries pushing the cup, but then saw Lucifer falling down and quickly ran. With one big, loud thump, the cup when flying. It was Gus's chance to make a run for it with the key until the cup landed on him and Lucifer trapped him.
The mice were shocked to see what they just witnessed and decided to help. They charged with forks and ran straight towards the cat, but Lucifer starts pounding on them, causing the mice and forks to go flying. The others lit a candle and dashed off towards the cat, but that feline blow the candle out and laughed. Suddenly, a few birds were dropping plates and cups on him. It was getting on the cat's nerves and then pounced off to shooed them away. Gus was now out of the cup and quickly ran off but went back for the key until Lucifer tapped him again.
Cinderella watched to see her friends getting defeated and felt like the cat is close to victory until she thought of an idea.
"Bruno. Yes, Bruno!" she spoke his name and start calling to the birds. "Quick! Get Bruno! Get Bruno!"
The birds heard what she said and flew out of the tower and came down to the sleeping dog. Zor, who was outside as he was waiting, notice the birds' cried of twittering as they were trying to get up. Major, who just heard the birds from his stable, understood what they were saying about what was happening to Cinderella and starts neighing at Bruno. The old dog was on his legs but he was still drowsy. Zor looked at them for a moment and looked back at the tower. He was in position to what his mistress's idea was but decided to help them.
Back at the main hall, the Messenger trying to fit the glass slipper on Drizella's foot. Madison and Alex shook their heads as they saw that her foot is the same size as Anastasia's. The Messenger tries pushing and squeezing the foot in the slipper, but the stepsister was getting frustrated.
"Oh, of all the stupid little idiots!" she spoke with impatience and then hit the Messenger with her shoe and starts kicking him. "I'll do it myself! Get away from me! I'll make it fit!" Drizella squeezed her foot in the slipper. "There!"
"It fits!" Lady Tremaine smiled.
"It fits?" The Duke looked at Drizella.
"No it does not." Madison whispered to Alex.
They thought it fit until Drizella's tortured toes uncoiled the slipper, which fell into the air, causing the Messenger and Grand Duke to retrieve it. Somehow they accidently bumped into each other and fell to the ground. The Grand Duke saw the slipper coming down and quickly caught it with only his finger. Both her, the Messenger, Alex, and Madison sighed with relief that slipper didn't get shattered. Including Lady Tremaine.
"Oh, Your Grace, I'm dreadfully sorry. It shouldn't happen again." said the stepmother with wicked smirk look on her face.
"Precisely, madam." said the Duke until he turned his head and spotted Madison. "You miss? Will you try on the slipper?"
"Me? I'm not so sure, Your Grace. Pretty sure that slipper won't fit." she said to him.
"Your Grace, Lady Madison hasn't come to the ball last night. She wouldn't come wearing those slippers or danced with the prince."
"Madam, every maiden should try on the slipper."
Madison nervously looked at Alex. He slowly nodded his head and Madison looked back at the Duke and the slipper. To her thoughts it would bring for the mice to set Cinderella free.
"Alright. I'll try on the slipper. But I should tell you, it may not fit me."
"Very well then. Have a seat my dear."
Madison sat down on the chair and looked at the Messenger as he starts to put the slipper on her foot.
