Chapter 6

Tiger Lily woke up to the sound of birds chirping happily outside her tipi. She smiled sleepily to herself as she remembered the dream she had been having. It had been a good one about Peter Pan.

Yawning slightly Tiger Lily got out of bed and changed quickly into her Buffalo skins, tucking her knife she always carried with her inside her leather belt. The sky was stormy when she left the tipi almost as if it was threatening her with its rain. Hurriedly, Tiger Lily made her way down to the river. It was a beautiful place not very far from the Indians camp. Tiger Lily went there every morning to collect her thoughts, wash and get ready for the day. The river looked darker than it normally did, a dark stormy colour rather than its usual crystal blue.

Suddenly, Tiger Lily felt a cold blade pressed against her neck. "Princess Tiger Lily," a sinister voice hissed into her ear. "Captain Hook wishes to see you." Tiger Lily recognised the voice it was Gale, Captain Hook's first mate. Sniggering slightly Gale held the knife close to her neck then suddenly his snigger turned into a squeal of pain as Tiger Lily kicked him hard in the shins and slipped from his grasp. Tiger Lily drew her knife from her belt.
"What does your captain want with me?" she asked.
Gale laughed. "That is for us to know and you to find out."

'Us?'
Drawing his sword Gale disarmed Tiger Lily before she had even had a chance to think. There was no denying that he was a good swordsman. Suddenly, she felt someone grab her from behind. Of course, Gale would have not come alone pirates were far too cowardly for that. Her hands were tied roughly behind her back and throwing her over his shoulder the pirate carried her off to the Jolly Rodger.

Lucy was stood on the deck with Nibbs, the two of them had become very close over the last few weeks.
"So what's the Captains plan for getting revenge on Peter?" Nibbs asked leaning against the edge of the boat.
"I can't tell you," Lucy replied apologetically. "Hook made me swear not to tell anyone. But I… I can tell you that I may be away for a few days."
"Come on, you can trust me. Can't you?" Nibbs said teasingly.
Lucy liked it when he smiled it was as if he could light up the whole world.
Lucy laughed. "Of course," she said.
"Lucy," came the voice of Smee, the boatswain from behind them. "The captain wishes to see you."
Lucy said goodbye to Nibs and followed Smee hastily down to the captain's cabin.

"It's time," Hook said triumphantly slamming his fist down on the table. "Gale go and fetch the princess," he said. Gale nodded and left the room. "Do you remember everything Smee has been teaching you about the Indians?" Hook asked.
Lucy nodded.
"Good just make sure you play your part well and try not to give yourself away."
"Yes Captain," she said.
He smiled "You can call me Dad."
Lucy nodded calmly on the outside. But on the inside her heart was thudding with happiness. She never thought that she would ever have anyone to call Dad.
Just then Gale reappeared, and Lucy turned to get her first look at the Indian Princess. She was very pretty; dark skin and long black hair. She glared at Lucy her eyes full of hatred and disgust as she struggled against Gale's firm grasp.

Hook plucked a hair from Tiger Lily's head and added it to the glass of fairy dust on the table. The glass lit up immediately like an angry flame let loose. Then as Lucy watched the glass of fairy dust turned into a dark liquid of sapphire blue. Hook passed the mixture to Lucy who drank it hesitantly. Slowly, Lucy started to a feel a prickle all over her skin and she could feel her body starting to change. Hook clapped his hands together in delight. He was ready…
